"Wow! So much delicious food! It feels just like New Year!"
Qi Shilang's excited voice echoed in the kitchen.
Following Qi Shilang into the kitchen was Qi Manman, who couldn't stop sniffing, her big eyes shining as she looked at the steaming buns being taken out of the pot.
After swallowing hard, Qi Manman tugged Brother Xiao Shi's sleeve: "Brother Shilang, what is New Year?"
"New Year is..."
Qi Shilang scratched his head, not quite sure how to answer the question for a moment.
But the little boy wasn't silly; he grinned and said, "It's when you can eat lots and lots of delicious food! And you get to wear new clothes!"
Qi Manman listened in confusion, scratching her own face, she said, "Then we've celebrated many New Years!"
Delicious food... we had it at home before, and although life on the road was hard later on, we still had meat to eat.
As for new clothes...
