"Keane..." Rosalyn Jennings seemed taken aback when she heard the question.
Maeve Lane stayed silent, observing her reaction carefully.
She had heard Rosalyn call someone by that name several times, but Maeve assumed it to be a figment of her imagination, like the names she used to give her various dolls.
After learning from Julian Fairchild that Rosalyn Jennings had contact with Keane's adoptive father, Maeve was almost certain.
Her mother definitely knew Keane.
"Who is Keane?" Rosalyn asked calmly, as if detached from reality.
Maeve questioned, "You don't remember?"
The woman on the sofa tilted her head, seemingly deep in thought. "I can't remember. Is he your new friend?"
