"There really was no one, I swear, only a monster that looked like decayed and stinky brain matter." Jerry raised his hand in a swearing gesture.
I gritted my molars. These young girls dared to attack my partner.
"That thing, where did it go?" The girl with hair down to her ears asked.
"It crawled under the floor and escaped." Jerry answered very honestly.
"Oh, escaped?" The short-haired girl sneered, pulling a parachute knife from the strap on her thigh, and slowly approached Jerry.
Jerry talked the most, and seemed like an easy target, so the short-haired girl appeared to want to break him down.
Just as she got close, she covered her nose. Jerry had been smeared with bird droppings and was covered in dirt from hiding in the cave. Having just sobbed his eyes out, he was a mess of tears and snot, looking like a weather-beaten stray dog, and the short-haired girl intentionally kept her distance.
