Kellen remembered that he was supposed to message his father, so while he was waiting for Rhys, he did that. His Dad was ecstatic that Kellen reached out and asked about dinner, and when he heard that Rhys wouldn't be able to attend, he decided to push it back to a date that Rhys could attend.
He pushed it back to the weekend, which was fine with Kellen. He would just make sure that Rhys could attend.
Kellen jerked the moment he heard the door jingle. Kellen watched as Rhys entered with two bags in his hands. Kellen had no idea what was in those bags, but he could hear things rattling in the bags.
Rhys was all smiles as he came in through the door, putting his shoes away and coming around the corner.
