Kellen had only been gone from his home for a little over 24 hours, but it felt like he hadn't been to the apartment in forever. Part of it, he felt, had to do with the fact that he was spending so much time here prior to his brief break yesterday.
The time when he was supposed to be having a moment with Charlie, everything went shitty, and then he ended up in the Medical Bay for a day to do a test. Thinking about it made it sound so exciting, but that excluded the hours of tests that he had to go through, and the pain he had been in while it was happening.
Rhys swept Kellen in through the doorway, making sure the door was closed behind him snugly before he took off his shoes and headed directly for the stairs.
"What? No couch cuddles?" Kellen joked and Rhys made a soft noise of complaint in his throat.
"You still need rest. I'm not going to squish you into the couch cushions. It's not as comfortable." Rhys protested and Kellen let out a snort.
