Chapter Title- A Sad Man On The Path Of Godhood

I was sitting on my couch inside of living room.
Looking at the blank TV screen.
My mind was elsewhere thinking about what happened today.
"You are a failure."
Those words ringing inside of my head.
I slowly turned my head down, looking at the table in front of me.
And on was a gun on top of the it.
I looked at it for a few minutes,
I picked it up and put it to my head.
Memories flashed in my head.
I was trying to remember the good moments of my life.
But I cannot remember a single good moment in my entire life.
I started crying as I pulled the trigger.
BANG!
And the world went black in an instant.
All around me was darkness.
I couldn't see anything.
Memories of going to church started to stirring inside my head.
"So that was All for nothing, huh?"
Maybe this is what I deserve after killing myself.
I close my eyes.
I stopped thinking.

After what felt like eternity.
I woke up standing in a white room.
And someone was standing in front of me.
It was a woman with luscious pink hair and deep blue eye wearing old Greek clothing.
She looked at me and smiled and started talking.
"Hello champion."
"Champion?"
"You are the chosen one."
I am the chosen one?
"You who will go through hundreds world, and do their challenges will gain Godhood."
Godhood?
Do I want to be a god?
No, I don't want to be a God
Those were the thoughts inside of my head as the woman continue talking.
"All you have to do is enter the door behind me to start your journey of becoming a God."
A door made out of gold appeared behind her.
She closed her eyes and smiled as she said.
"I hope you the best of luck on your journey to godhood."
I didn't move for a second and then said.
"I don't wanna be a god."
I looked down at my feet and said.
"Maybe you got the wrong guy."
As I looked at up at her.
She wasn't moving.
She wasn't blinking.
She wasn't even breathing.
I was starting to get nervous.
"Hello? Are you okay?"
Still nothing.
I started looking around the room while looking at the woman.
Every wall was entirely white.
I wasn't even sure there was a ceiling.
Then I heard the woman talking again.
"Hello champion."
Déjà vu hit me in the head.
"You are the chosen one."
Is she repeating what she said a couple of minutes ago…?
"You who will go through hund…"
She is repeating what she was saying.
This is really creeping me out now.
She kept repeating what she was saying a minutes ago.
"I hope you the best of luck on—"
Her head snapped instantly to the left towards my direction where I was standing near one of the walls.
"— Your journey to godhood."
I froze in place out fear.
I waited for a second before I moved again.
Her head wasn't moving still looking at the place I was standing at.
I then went towards the door made out of gold.
As I got closer, it slowly opened.
A bright light came out of the door.
I couldn't see anything on the other side of the door.
I heard her speak again.
"Hello cham—"
She was repeating herself again.
I focused on the door and it finally dawned upon me.
"I can't refuse can I…?"
There was no sound in the white room other then the woman repeating herself again.
I collapsed on the white floor.
I felt stuck.
I wanted to cry.
I turned my head to look at the woman again.
"I hope you the best of luck on—"
Her head snapped 180 degrees to look at me while the rest of her body was facing the other way.
My heart stopped as I felt fear overwhelmed me.
"— Your journey to godhood."
She kept on looking at me without moving.
I turned my head towards the door that shines bright like a star in the sky.
I looked at my hands.
And for some reason I felt something I thought I lost.
Hope.
Maybe…
Just maybe.
I could do this.
I steeled myself and got up.
"I can do this… I can do this…"
Whispering words of encouragement to myself.
I got right in front of the golden door I looked at the woman again.
She was still looking at me with her head but the rest of her body facing the other way.
I felt scared and creeped out again.
I took a deep breath and looked at the golden door again.
"There is no turning back now…"
I started walking towards the golden door.
The bright light engulfed me and I closed my eyes as I got in.

After a few seconds, I open my eyes and found myself inside what looked to be a small blue square room.
Each wall had a door and each door had a name on it.
The door in front of me was written 'Supplies'.
On the left door was written 'Armory'.
On the right door was written 'Magic'.
And the door behind me was written 'Worlds"
As I looked around I heard a deep masculine voice.
"Hello Jacob."
I turned my head around trying to fund where the voice came from.
"Who's there?!"
"Don't worry I am speaking from inside of your mind."
That wasn't reassuring at all and actually made me more afraid.
"Just calm down."
I slowly calmed myself down.
I asked hesitantly.
"Who are you?"
The voice replied to my question.
"I'm the blue room that you are inside of currently."
That actually made me have more questions.
"How are you speaking inside of my head?"
"Magic or to be more precise telepathy."
"Magic is real?"
"Very real and before you ask the only reason your old world didn't have magic was because it was so magically impotent that it was impossible to use."
That last part made me close my mouth.
I tried to ask more questions but he started talking.
"First of you can call me Uranus"
That stopped me for a second as I remembered who has that name.
"Like the father of Cronus?"
He ignored me and continued talking.
"As you have seen there are words written on each door that indicate what there is inside of those rooms."
"You can buy stuff from each of the rooms with points you gain from finishing challenges in those worlds you will be going to but to start you will be given a thousand points to buy stuff to help you with your journey."
"Once you open the door with worlds written on it you will be transported to the world to start your challenge and once you finish it you can return here."
I slowly digested what he said.
"Simple enough?"
I heard him asking.
"Yeah I understand…"
"Good, now you should start preparing for your first world."
I nodded my head and went straight ahead towards the door with 'Magic' written on it.
And what greeted me was a massive library.
As I walked inside and got close to one of the book shelves I then grabbed one of books that had a orange cover.
I couldn't read anything that was written on the cover and then I felt words appearing inside of my head.
Tome Of Fire.
Five thousand points.
I stopped moving as I realized that's how much this book cost.
This single tome of fire costed five times more than what I have.
I tried again with a different book that had a purple cover.
Tome Of Crystal.
Ten thousand points.
My mind went blank.
Ten thousand…?
"Is there any magic tome i can afford…?"
Suddenly I heard the voice of Uranus.
"Yeah you can afford this one."
As he said that one of the books that had a blue cover in the shelf's started floating and went towards me.
As it got near me I grabbed it and words started appearing inside of my head again.
Guidance To Magic.
Eight hundred points.
That's still alot…
I shook my head and said.
"No this is the only way for to survive."
I waited for second then asked Uranus.
"How do I actually buy it?"
"Just think about buying for a second and then you will feel a ping that indicates that you bought it."
I tried that and after a second I felt a mental ping inside of me.
I took a deep breath and then opened the book.
I couldn't understand anything…
I flipped page after page but I still couldn't understand anything that was written on it.
I felt panic rising inside of me and then asked Uranus.
"Uranus I can't understand anything that is written on it."
He nonchalantly answered my panicked question.
"Remember when I said your world was magically impotent? Yeah that includes you."
My heart sank when he finished speaking.
I started hyperventilating.
"You mean to tell me I wasted my points…?"
Memories started reappearing inside of my head.
"Failure." "Can't do anything right." "Always wasting everything in your life."
"Yeah, you kinda wasted your points."
The book fell out of my hands.
Tears started going down my face.
And the memories inside of head were killing me.
"Oh look he started cry Hahaha" "yeah he is such a cry baby.""always crying I can't believe you are even a man."
I heard Uranus voice.
"Huh so he is one of those emotional people, sigh this is gonna be so annoying."
Even Uranus…
"I wish… just to put this stupid emotions away…"
The entire place started shaking as if there is a earthquake.
"Huh what is goin—!?"
I heard Uranus voice before it suddenly disappeared.
Suddenly a red portal started appearing in front of me.
I was shaking from fear as I heard a voice coming out of the red portal.
The voice was distorted almost like a static noise from a old radio.
"Is that your wish?"
And I answered it.
"Yes… I want to control my emotions…"
"Your wish has been granted."
As the distorted voice said that the red portal started to disappear.
And I felt something enter my head.
It was knowledge of something.
And with it I can control my emotions.
I waited for a second before I suppressed my emotions.
Suddenly everything was clearer.
My mind wasn't hazy anymore.
I could think logically.
And with that logic I started thinking of the best way to survive.
I immediately picked up the book that I dropped on the floor.
"—G on?!"
I heard Uranus voice again so I asked him a question.
"Uranus can return the book to get back the points?"
"Huh? Why can't I read your mind anymore? And why are you acting so differently now?"
"Answer the question."
"What the hell… you can't unbuy something after you bought it."
I nodded my head and left the library.
"Hey you still haven't answered me why I can't read your mind anymore!"
I heard him yell but I ignored him.
I left the 'Magic' room and went straight ahead towards 'Armory' room.
"I have to survive no matter what."
"Hey! You still haven't answered me!"
