Chapter 1 - Prologue

Long long ago, before the first star was born, before the universe had breath, before time dared to dream itself into being, there was only Consciousness. It wasn't a being. It wasn't a place.

It simply was—an endless awareness stretching across what we call the void.

From that boundless awareness, something stirred.

That stirring became intention, the first act of will. And with it came the first change: Light. Not the kind we see in the skies today, but a primordial energy. It was blinding, formless, eternal.

From that light emerged the First Beings, entities shaped not by blood or birth, but by pure divine force. They were the architects of existence. With them, the formless void began to take structure.

They first carved the Heavenly Realm—a plane of pure radiance and order. It was meant to oversee, to guide. Here, light crystallised into hierarchy and divine law. The gods or immortals made this their home, a place untouched by decay, where time moved with precision and grace.

Then came the Earth Realm, a place for humans or mortals, where matter held form and life could eventually be nurtured. Built with balance in mind, Earth was designed as a place where divine energy could mix with raw matter. Here, the elements fused: water kissed fire, air danced with earth. Light and shadow coexisted in a delicate equilibrium. And every form had an ending and a beginning.

Beside Earth, the chaos that had been cast out during creation began to fester. That residue of untamed power shaped itself into something darker—the Demon Realm. It was not built so much as born, an echo of the divine corrupted by imbalance. It had no kings at first, only hunger. But over time, beings began to rise there too; born from shadow, driven by desire, and seeking what the heavens denied them.

Beyond these, the remaining fragments of the original void stretched on, becoming the Astral Realm, a liminal, drifting space.

Then came Time, not as we know it, but as a current slithering through everything, binding cause to consequence.

Creation swelled.

Divinity swelled.

So did pride.

And then came war.

The gods, the demons.

And Earth… Earth was the battlefield. The stage and the wound. It was here, in the quiet corners of shattered realms, that things began to feel.

Love.

Grief.

Hope.

That's the story my grandfather told me. That's how it all began.

They call me the Goddess of Healing. I was not born in the way mortals understand birth. I came into existence, shaped by divine will, formed by the breath of the cosmos. That… is all I know of my origin.

And today… is my wedding day.

The Heavenly Realm is overflowing with noise. Voices, footsteps, ceremonial chants, everything loud, everything rehearsed. Around me, attendants move with restless hands, draping me in silks and symbols, painting devotion across my skin.

They're preparing me for the journey. To be sent away. To be offered as a bride.

In the Earth realm, humans call this a political marriage. But for a higher being like me—a goddess—to be given to a demon?

They call it sacrifice.

I call it balance.

A war has been looming, thick in the air like a storm refusing to break. One more crack in the divine order, and all realms would bleed. So, a decision was made: unite what has always been divided. Heaven and the Demon Realm. Light and shadow. Peace, for a price.

And I—

I am the price.

I will do it.
