Chapter 11 - Episode: 3 [The Reunion]

Our aim was at the chest of the monster. The monster himself was busy, dealing with the Jins and the other humans; some had been influenced by the sight and received courage to fight the monster.

Unbeknownst to them, we never intended to fight him but rather to distract him. Which led to them being killed either by the hum-slimes or by being crushed by the monster's foot.

Despite all of this, people were still coming out of their hideouts. Fighting the hum-slimes or trying to deal damage to him. Even though their attacks worked against the hum-slimes, the same can't be said for the boss monster.

Any attack that hit the outer layer of the layer would get dissolved. Even the laser from Jaran could pierce only a few 20 centimeters.

[Watcher 'The Entity of Arcane,' advises you to explode the layer with magical grenade and, when exposed, shoot the layer.]

A watcher trying to help us? What world am I living in?

[Watcher 'Selfish Pig' is barking at 'The Entity of Arcane' to shut up and not ruin the game.]

[Watcher 'Kind Devil' is displeased with 'The Entity of Arcane.']

It was good advice, but the problem was. We didn't have that kind of explosive power. Maya and Canny were barely about to muster their magical power to create two RPGs. Canny was bleeding from the nose, but he had a cocky smile on his face.

"You damn bugs! Once I catch you, I will crush you into powder."

Amberok was frustrated; crushing people under his feet was easier than killing a few birds in the sky. His speed was slow in contrast to the small-sized Jins. Make it like a human trying to kill a fly.

[Watcher 'Dragon of Trivial Hero' is bashing his head in excitement.]

Having a vessel made them more excited. Watchers are crazy beings; they know bonding with their vessel will cause them immense pain when they lose them.

Think of it like a man supporting his football team with all his heart. With each second passing, his heart would beat and he doesn't want his team to lose; it pains him seeing the football in the foes' legs, dribbling and moving it around, goaling. When his team loses, his heart explodes from the pain, but at the same time, he will want to have the same experience again since the game was fun to watch; it was too amusing.

Their vessels dying while amusing them, it gave them a strange pleasure that they want to have again and again.

Yes! He's strange... That's how they are, and that's how I made them.

"Shoot!" I commanded.

The rockets were propelled forward from both RPGs and hit directly in his chest. Only a minor impact. It was enough to make him plunge to the ground.

There was a small cavity in his chest before it disappeared instantly. The monster was basically a liquid made with a little rigid body. When the monster was up, it looked at us. Amberok's blazing eyes squinted and saw us.

"I was wondering where you were hiding. So you were up to something funny." The monster darted at it.

It had taken only two steps, and it stood before us. It's one foot raised, ready to stomp on us.

Before it hit the ground, Jaran and two other Jins rescued it.

"AAAHHH, BUGS!" Amberok was going insane, as if losing his mind.

Another Jin joined us, cradling Amani. Abruptly, thousands of tentacles thrust out of his body and moved like bullets in every direction. Seeing them getting close, I SHOUTED!

"Maya now!"

A large bubble covered us completely, darkening our vision. We could only feel when the bubble crashed onto the ground after colliding with those hands.

As the bubble was absorbed by the ground, we were left surrounded by Hum-slimes crawling towards us. We were outnumbered; when the Jins tried to fly, I stopped them.

"Don't try to fly; they will pierce your wings the second you're in the air." They were still within the hum-slimes' attack range.

"We will fight them head-on."

Another problem was that we can't even use the protective wall. Maya was tired; she had used too much of her energy, and so was Canny. Just then a lion, several birds, and a giant wolf appeared.

On the giant wolf sat Joseph as he hopped off. The wolf started attacking Hum-slimes, and so did the birds and lion.

"How much longer?" Joseph asked.

"A minute!"

Hum-slimes launched their tentacles, and I tried deflecting with my sword with its effects applied. And Maya tried casting another barrier; it wasn't as strong as the one before and the Hum-slimes penetrated it.

As we fought against the hum-slimes, the surroundings turned gloomy as I looked up. A foot just above us, about to stomp on us.

I cursed in my heart. There was no way out of here.

[Watchers, are you enjoying this?] Zaradus asked.

[There's nothing fun but seeing them in such a miserable state.]

[Many watchers agree with you.]

[A few watchers nodded.]

[Two watchers disagree with you.]

It didn't matter who agreed and who didn't. What mattered was that the majority of them were enjoying it.

Zaradus sneered at us; maybe he had already thought the game was coming to an end with the whole city devastated and humans on the brink of dying.

But he had forgotten one thing. There was another boss monster, a boss monster who didn't belong to the universe of cosmos but to humans.

"Here comes the BIG SHOW!"

Zaradus' head lifted up at the sky; he was as confused as Amberok was. The giant's head lifted, and the watchers watched the sky from where the voice came.

The clouds shattered, creating a small space in the sky, and the sunlight bathed the world for a brief moment. A man fell from the sky, long black wings spread behind his back, and his arms glowing red and metallic in texture. Larger horns protruding from his head.

A wry smile cracked on my face as I heard the voice. This... was the end of the second game.
