Chapter 2 - 2: The Major Event!?

3rd Persons POV.

The world didn't fade in it ignited. Mohan blinked as lights flooded his vision. The streets of the Kingdom of Dunches stretched out before him, dark alleyways humming with electricity, old cybernetic billboards glitching as if barely alive. The Steam hissed from the vents in cracked pavement. Above, torn banners fluttered with the faded logo of the current ruler.

The city was alive. Every NPC bustled with a kind of urgency, hawking noodles, bargaining for spare machine parts, shouting about syndicate turf wars. And though Mohan knew it was code, the energy felt raw, it felt real. It wasn't just a game; it was a living world.

Then came the viewers, a Live Button can be seen beside the corner of the left side of Mohan.

The numbers climbed like wildfire. Her professor's dare had spread across the university, gaming communities Andres forums, and now thousands of curious eyes tuned in to watch the "fashionista boy" try to play a hardcore VR game.

Mohan Clicks the Comments and The chat burst alive, scrolling fast enough to blur:

theGreatPlayer: LMAO HE ACTUALLY PICKED BLACKSMITH. Widelegswatches: What's he gonna do, hammer people with fabric scissors? BarkDogs: First death speedrun incoming.

LoveMeAHotGuy: Wait he looks… kinda cool tho?

Mohan's lips curved into a small grin. "Ah, the sound of an audience. Just like a runway." He raised his hand's slightly, as if addressing the viewer's of a fashion show. "Welcome, darlings. You're about to witness a runway never walked before." He said and smile.

The chat instantly responded:

DittoLof: Bro thinks he's a model in a fashion show.

LoveMeAHotGuy: Streamer charisma 10/10.

Xenon: Why does this feel like it's gonna be iconic?

Mohan chuckled and began moving through the tutorial streets. His default gear was pathetic: ragged blacksmith's apron, rusty hammer, and gloves too big for his hands. But instead of sulking, he tugged at the apron like it was a designer coat and struck a mock pose.

"Fashion is about making even scraps look divine and elegant " he murmured. A system prompt appeared before him.

Tutorial Quest: Meet your guide and learn to survive the Slums.

Rewards: Forge your very first weapon.

Ordinarily, this would've meant a generic blacksmith NPC, a dull introduction where players crafted their first weapon. But the moment Mohan took his first step into a the narrow alley.

A holographic ripple passed through the walls, a signs flickered violently, and a cutscene was triggered, something players almost never saw in tutorial event.

A boy stumbled out from the shadows. His clothes were torn royal robe, stitched with glowing embroidery, now covered in dirt and soot. His left arm was injured. His eyes sharp, proud, and burning locked onto Mohan.

"You! Yes, you." His voice was rough yet commanding. "Help me, before they find me." He said with a scared face.

The System pop out in Mohan's vision.

MAJOR EVENT TRIGGERED!

You have encountered:Kurt Von Dunches, The Lost Prince.

Questline: Protect the Prince and aid his escape.

Difficulty: ???

The stream chat floods like it was an event:

WidelegsWatches: NO WAY. HE JUST GOT THE LOST PRINCE EVENT. TheQuestFinder: SO THE RUMOR IS TRUE THEN? WHEN THE FALCON GUILD CLEARED IT, THATS THE TIME THE PRINCES ESCAPED!!? ZekePlays: WHAT THE HELL? That's a <0.01% chance trigger!

SideEye: Beginners luck??!

LetHimCook: Bruh, I've been grinding alt accounts for this quest for WEEKS!

Even Hazem's username popped in chat:

TheGodPlays: MO, YOU LUCKY BASTARD.

Mohan raised a brow. "Oh? Seems I'm not just walking the runway—I'm stealing the spotlight." He looked back at the injured prince. "Well then, Your Highness. Lead me the way."

The prince staggered forward, clutching his side. "I… cannot. They will hunt me. I need a blade. I need weapon."

Mohan examined his rusty hammer and sighed dramatically for the stream. "Darling, you wound me. I'm a Blacksmith. I don't carry blades, I create them." He said with his butler voice.

The chat spammed:

LoveMeSomeGuys: LOL okay this guy is roleplaying HARD.

jaydron: I hate him but I can't stop watching.

LetHimCook: If he dies here it's gonna be legendary.

They hadn't walked more than ten steps when the air trembled. From the rooftops above, dark shapes moved, a syndicate hunters with glowing red eyes, their bodies augmented with cheap metal grafts. They hissed like broken speakers.

"Found him! the prince!" The one with red eyes shouted

"Kill him and that ugly escort."

"Me? Oh darling this is going bad… for you" Mohan tightened his grip on the hammer. His heart thumped not just from danger, but from the thrill of being seen. Hundreds, maybe thousands, were watching him. His runway had just begun.

Side Quest: Defeat Hunters (3).

Rewards: +75EXP, +2000 Golds, ???

The hunters leapt down. The rusted blades, ragged coats fluttering. To any other new player, this was a certain death path. But to Mohan, it was theater, a play, a way to start a dramatic runway.

The first hunter lunged. Mohan sidestepped awkwardly, the VR feedback made his body sluggish compared to real life, but he recovered quickly, swinging the hammer with both hands. It crashed into the hunter's arm, bloods flying. The crowd in chat spammed cheers and insults alike.

The hunter reeled, but the second came in so fast. Mohan ducked low, using the apron's cloth to entangle the enemy's blade for a brief of second before slamming the hammer upward. It wasn't a graceful way, but it was enough.

The third circled, waiting for an opening. Mohan's chest rose and fell, sweat start dripping though it was only simulated. He grinned into the streaming feed. "Tell me, darlings, am I surviving, or am I performing?"

Then the chat exploded:

LetHimCook: BOTH. YOU MADMAN.

Widelegwatches; He's fighting like a drunk model.

LoveMeAHotGuy: I… actually kinda believe in him??

LetHimCook Subscribed in your channel.

"That so sweet of you… My LetHimCook" he said, Mohan planted his hammer down like a cane, straightened, and locked eyes with the last hunter. "On the runway, hesitation is death." He kicked forward, heel striking the hunter's chest, then followed with a hammer swing to the head.

The system pop up.

Side Quest Cleared: Hunters Defeated. Rewards: +75EXP, +2000 Golds, ??? Beginner's Forging Kit.

Level 1 → Level 2

The prince exhaled with relief flashing across his face. "You… fight unlike any Blacksmith I've ever seen."

Mohan wiped imaginary dust from his apron. "Of course. I'm not a blacksmith. I'm a designer." The prince handed him a fragment of glowing crystal.

"Forge me a blade. With this, I may yet reclaim what is mine. Help me, and I shall reward you with secrets no other adventurer knows."

System pop lit up again:

Questline Branch Unlocked: The Lost Prince's weapon

First Step: Craft a weapon worthy of royalty.

Failure will permanently lock this questline.

The chat was in chaos:

QuestFinder: HE GOT THE ROYAL FORGE QUEST?!? That's S-Tier loot endgame!

TheGodsPlays: NO WAY. Exclusive Blacksmith quest?!?.

BlackSmithGuild: Bro, if you screw this up, you'll be a meme for life.

Mohan smirked at the camera, his eyes gleaming. "A meme? Darling… I was born to be a legend." The prince staggered again, leaning on a wall. "The hunters will return soon. We must move. The anvil is hidden… deep in the slums."

Mohan glanced at the glowing crystal in his hand, feeling its weight. This is not iron. Also not a steel. Something alive. He closed his eyes, his already sketching on his mind, the silhouette of a blade unlike any other, sharp not just in edge, but in style, a royal style.

The screen dimmed as the system announced in the sky:

Major Quest Triggered:Royal Forge Quest has begun.

The prince's voice echoed: "Do you have the courage to forge destiny itself?" Mohan lifted his Bloody hammer, lips curling into a grin. He looked at the camera, at thousands of watching eyes.

"Courage?" he said softly. "Darling, I have confidence." And with that, he stepped into the shadows of the Slums along with the Lost Prince at his side, and the viewers hanging on every step.

On the other side, The whole players from City 1-3 are stunned as they were stunned when they heard it, A man inside a big Castle like Building standing looking at the Sky "Someone really started the Main event…" he whispered

On the Office of SI, Panics started to run as they called the game developers and director "Sir, The Main Event has been Triggered! Should we notify the Main?" "No need, this wont be a big deal, the main quest needs to be a guild or at least in a party to complete, and this… Mohan player is a newbie, lets just see and wait…"
