Looking at the book in his hands, Elliot excitedly hid in an alley far from where he woke up. Thousands of ideas were clashing in his mind, but he wasn't dumb enough to hastily choose any of them.
Inspecting both sides of the alley, Elliot saw a kid sitting quietly in the corner, playing with an old toy that some kid had thrown. He wasn't worried about this kid as he was far superior to him in strength and speed.
Just as he hastily opened the book, he noticed a problem. He doesn't have a pen, and much, much, much more important than that is that he can't write or read!
Oh...Elliot suddenly felt despair in his heart. He was never this heartbroken before, the last time he felt this way was when his dog in the orphanage he escaped died.
He began to think of ways that he could use the book even as an illiterate street boy, but no thoughts came to his mind.
'Is the notebook really going to be usel—?'
Just as he was losing all hope, a pen suddenly hit him in the head and landed in front of him. The pen, which looked expensive and new, was a blue colored glass like pen. Elliot wasn't aware of its name, but he didn't care either.
Elliot looked above him and saw that in a window, a beautiful lady dressed in a stunning dress was staring blankly at him, with her face resting on her cheeks, the lady gave the vibes of being a dream, a flower that smells beautiful, a bread that's not dry, and a cake he longed to eat.
Staring at her for a moment, he realizes that the lady possesses unnaturally brown hair, a characteristic of being a rich and powerful person. However, doesn't this mean that she is educated as well?
'Perhaps I could ask her.' Making up his mind, Elliot braces himself and asks the lady about the correct way of writing the word Cake. The lady, upon hearing him, immediately held out a white object and drew on the wall beside her with an amused smile.
To Elliot the letters were familiar, but the entirety of it doesn't make sense, however, he doesn't need to know it's meaning, what he needs to do is to memorize it's appearance and placement. For this, he wrote on the back of his hand. It was messy and barely readable, but at least it somewhat resembles the original letter.
After doing all of this, Elliot put aside the pen for a second and looked towards the lady, however, she was no longer there. He regretted not thanking her immediately.
Shaking his head, he promised to properly thank her and repay her kindness in the future.
'Once I build my cake empire no one will be able to get in my way of becoming the richest man! One cake per day it is!' Elliot smugly told himself as he walked away.

Walking out of the balcony, Fors Wall silently surveys her messy room filled with trash. It's been 4 weeks since her friend came here to clean.
She was aware that she was actually being reliant on others regarding this aspect, especially after the sudden disappearance of "Them," but she couldn't just help it.
During these past years, she had been focusing on being a normal human girl in a normal world. As a being who contributed to a battle a few decades ago, she was bestowed the title of Countess by the country. But she never really attended such an event, it was just a disgusting place where people show their power for the sake of it.
They were just a bunch of fools...Fors mocked. Of course, she was still required to attend as a representative of a church, but aside from really important meetings, she spares herself from indulgence. She'd rather read books than socialize.
Thinking about the man earlier, Fors fell into contemplation. A man who should be in his 18s or 19s yet doesn't even know how to spell cake? What has the world come to?
She smiled self-deprecatingly and continued reading. It was getting a bit hot these days.
