Before I begin with the actual story, I'd first like to say a few things to all the wonderful people who decided to read my fanfic.
I'll begin by saying this: do not come into this with high expectations. I have very little experience writing, so the grammar will probably be atrocious, the characters and plot bland, and the tone of Shadow Slave all wrong. I am writing this because I want to improve in writing; this means I will actually put in effort and time. If I just half-ass the whole thing, I won't make much progress in my skills at all, so I will try my hardest to make this a good read while also improving.
I know that this next part might contradict what I just claimed, but I'm warning you all that there will not be a consistent upload schedule. I already have to balance school, sports, and training, so adding in writing is bound to cause some problems. Most days I doubt I'll have much time to write, so uploads might be every couple of days to maybe even a week, and for this I am sorry.
Lastly, I want to tell y'all a bit about why I'm doing this. As I said before, I am primarily writing this fanfiction to improve, but why you may ask? I am an aspiring author who one day hopes to write best selling titles, but for that I need to get practice, hence this project. Most of the abilities of my OC in this, besides the memories, echoes, and the like, will be loosely based on the powers of the MC I have planned for my book. This is mainly because I want to familiarize myself with how to best write her personality, flaws, fighting style, and pretty much everything else. Again, they are only loosely connected. My book will not have a system like the Nightmare Spell, so I might mess up a few things regarding it.
Anyway, that's it. I hope you all enjoy Evershade I guess. Have a fun time reading and make sure you comment if you have questions or find any mistakes.
