Chapter 1: The System Awakens
I opened my eyes to the gray light of a half-asleep morning. My body felt… different—lighter, yet heavier with a strange awareness. It was quiet. Too quiet. For a moment, I thought I was still dreaming.
Then it hit me.
A window of text, glowing and impossibly sharp, slammed into my vision:

I blinked, disoriented. "What… the hell is this?"
A voice, calm and mechanical, filled my mind:
"Quest: Improve Vyinx's life."
Memories crashed into me—fragmented, jagged, raw. I saw the old Vyinx: a boy crushed under expectations, anxious, hesitant, drowning in self-doubt. Every failure, every moment he couldn't stand for himself—it was all there, and now… it was mine.
I clenched my fists. "What's my cheat this time?" I asked aloud, half-hoping, half-mocking.
"No cheat will be provided. Good luck."
No cheats. No shortcuts. Just me. Just grind.
The system didn't joke. And as I stared at the glowing interface, I realized why. If I wanted to rise, I'd have to do it the hard way. No instant power-ups, no divine hacks. Only effort, consistency, and strategy.
Arc: Training Arc.
128 days. That was all the time I had until the new year. 128 days to raise my academics, skills, and strength to a level worthy of respect—worthy of a life I wouldn't regret.
I looked down at my hands—small, pale, still trembling with lingering fear and excitement. This was my life now, the life of a fourteen-year-old boy who didn't know the answers yet, but was about to find them.
"So… where do I start?" I muttered, the corners of my lips curling into the first smirk of hope I'd felt in months.
The system hummed quietly, waiting.
The memories finally stopped clashing against my mind, leaving me dizzy but aware. I sat still, breathing slowly, letting the fragments settle into place. When I opened my eyes again, I noticed the soft rise and fall of my younger siblings sleeping beside me.
A bunkbed. A small room. A foreign land.
From the memories, I understood: this body had moved to the UK nearly two years ago. The old Vyinx had been dragged through change after change—new schools, new faces, new struggles. Burnout had consumed him long before I arrived.
The clock read 11 p.m. There was nothing left to do but close my eyes.
When I woke again, the sunlight was already pouring in. 11 a.m. A late start for a new life. The first thing I did was stumble toward the mirror, curious about the vessel I now inhabited.
What I saw made me pause.
A boy with dark brown skin, uneven and marked with insecurities. His face and chest carried different shades, some parts darker, others lighter. The memories whispered—how he had hated this, how he had compared himself to others, how he wished he could be different.
I sighed. "This is gonna be a lot of work."
But the uneven skin wasn't the worst of it. Beneath the oversized shirt clinging to my body was nothing but bone. No muscle. No power. No presence. Just weakness.
As if on cue, the System lit up before my eyes again:

I stared at the glowing text. "So… we start from the bottom, huh?"
There were still a few days before school began again. Enough time to plan. Enough time to set the first stone in building the new me.
"This body needs strength first," I whispered, clenching my weak fists. "Muscles. Endurance. A foundation."
The Training Arc had officially begun.
