Alina was the only thing Kacy could look forward to after her shift. She enjoyed their conversations in their shared bedroom.
"Do you know what's the most repulsive thing I've ever seen?"
"No. What?" Kacy turned to look at Alina's oval face.
"Watching Lolita and Axel having sex! I walked in while I was cleaning her en-suite."
Kacy gasped. "Did she scream at you?"
Alina shook her head. "She was too drunk to notice me."
"I didn't think they were that close."
"They've been together for a while. They just keep it low-key." Alina's pager beeped. "Damn it. I've got to go."
Kacy curled into her pillow, wishing sleep would swallow the image. Some pictures…never fade.
