The house was open, meant someone had made their way into the house. She met Mrs. Marie, their neighbor who was watering her flowers just in front of the yard. Letting Tessa know that her uncle was in the house earlier but had left in haste, following his departure, some guys in black stormed into the house.
"Tessa, do you want me to call the police?" holding her by the shoulder trying to provide help if possible.
"No thank you Mrs. Marie I can definitely handle this" she said in utter confusion. Walking into her home where it seemed like a fight had occurred. It was obvious they were either looking for something or someone. Without further thoughts, she stepped into the house looking for no one in particular, maybe her uncle.
The house was absolutely quiet and empty, picking up her phone she dialed her uncle, Logan. "The number you are trying to call is not available" He wasn't picking up.
Carefully scrolling through her phone, she dialed a number. "Lena! I can't find my uncle"
"Mr. Logan" a cold and masculine voice waved across the room. The owner of the voice, a man in his thirties walked across the room towards Logan who was bounded on a chair. His aura so heavy that it could render the place airless. Each step he took kept everyone at their tip, as his movements were unpredictable.
His jet black hair, swept to the side. A black shirt which was button halfway down, leaving the upper part of his sculptured chest bare.
He bent over towards Logan who was already wet and bruises in some part of his face. He forcefully pulled out the tape used to seal his mouth. This was followed by a loud scream.
The man of aura, Ricardo de Acosta. A very well known Mafia Boss in the city of New York, amerced so much wealth that couldn't beat even the richest politician. It is known that he is a man of little words but has more action.
He chuckled as a reaction to Mr. Logan's scream. "You know, you thought you could be smart but you've had your fun, now it's my turn" He signaled one of his guys, who came to hand him a black leather glove.
He wore it seamlessly. He grimaced a smile just before he could throw a punch at Mr. Logan . His groan of pain echoed around the room followed by a huge wave of silence.
Ricardo walked out of the room with a couple of black suited men marching after him.
"C'mon Tess we can't just sit here and have you cry, we have to do something maybe call the police or something." Elena addressed Tessa who was crying on the couch in the middle of the wrecked house. "No not yet, it has to be three days before I file a missing person's report and I feel something about this is not normal".
The girls turned their heads towards the direction of the sound that came from then door. It was Elvis. He kept he surprised yet straight face as he walked in the room different from the way he saw it in the morning.
"Hey Tess… Elena called me" he spoke in response to the dead look Tessa threw at him.
"she told me about your uncle's disappearance. Are you sure you're good?"
Tessa threw her head towards Elena's direction, she tilted her head down while pinching her forehead then looked back at Lena.
Her friend gave a weird smile then ran towards Elvis to make him ask no more questions.
"So what's the next thing to do now? We can't definitely sit and wait, Logan may be in danger. Come on! Tess pull yourself together"
Later when night had come, Tessa was left alone in the house when The duo had left the house was left alone thinking of what next to do.
Crouching down on her bed, her phone rang. The text unknown number was displayed on her phone, having double thoughts on answering the call.
"Teresa" A cold voice sounded from the other side of the phone.
