Alex looked at the rapid color changes as he poured the Elixir of Eternal Dawn into the glass. It was an item graded Mythic with three stars, though Alex didn't know if that was truly the highest grade an item could reach.
The grading system taught in school had only five levels: Broken, Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic. Later, each of these was further divided into tiers, shown by stars—1 star being the lowest and 5 stars the highest.
Broken items, being literal trash, had no stars at all to divide them into tiers.
Skills, on the other hand, were graded using the common alphabet. In school, Alex had only been taught about F, E, D, C, B, and A ranks—with F- being the lowest and A+++ the highest. Still, it didn't take a genius especially if you were a reincarnator + weeb to figure out that something like SSS+++ was obviously far beyond those.
Even so, Alex couldn't say for certain that it was actually the highest grade out there.
"The colour change is....bit too obvious." Alex blankly looked at the ranbow coloured drink infront of him, after pourning all the elixir in became like that.
Then, he closed his eyes and let out a low laugh. Suddenly, the rainbow colors shifted back to the normal, 'clean' water color.
"It's good that I am GOD! WAHAHAHA!" Opening his eyes, Alex once again… lost his mind.
In the washroom, Robert watched all of this, a few beads of sweat forming on his forehead. If Alex knew this had been seen, he would have surely erased the entire timeline.
TAP...TAP...TAP..
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps rang out.
In panic, the empty bottle in Alex's hands fell
~Crash~
"Shit!" Alex hurriedly ran towards the gate, near the entrance of canteen, four dustbin box were kept. Alex threw the glass containing half the Hellpepper Infusion in nearest one, the red dustbin.
And ran out of the canteen but...
Thump!
"Ouch!! WHAT THE FUCK!" Alex held his head and looked at the person he had collided with.
"Alex, dude, why are you running?" A good-looking red-haired boy with an athletic build, half a head taller than Alex, held his nose as he spoke.
He was Kael Sunstride the school's shiny prince and Alex's best friend.
He was currently in his sleeping attire, with a messed up hair looking as if just got up from sleep and it was true he did just woke up.
"KAEL! WHY ARE YOU HERE?" Alex asked in surprise.
"Oh!...I woke for pee but then I heard a loud ~yawn~ creepy laughter down so I came to check~yawn~." Kael spoke in a sleepy tone, struggling to keep himself standing.
Alex felt offended at Kael's words, but he couldn't admit it was him after being called creepy to his face. So, he said what any logical person would.
"Yeah! That was a creepy laugh, but don't worry—that was just Robert, haaa." Blaming is a skill not everyone can execute as perfectly as Alex.
"HO! Robert what's he doing so early?....Also weren't you in be-" Before Kael could ask he was interrupted by Alex.
"Leave that let's get out of here I heard the Warden voice he must be on his way here." Alex spoke rapidly as he looked behind himself for any sign of Warden.
"Calm down dude it's not a big..de..al." Before even fully hearing Kael, he started running.
Kael scrached back of his head, as he looked Alex running and then turning at the corner.
"How come he is more rule abiding then me." He said in a low voice.
It wasn't completely Alex's fault—he was an introvert. He didn't talk much with people who weren't on his friend list, which also meant he didn't like favors.
He could never be like Kael, who could easily talk to anyone. At least 80% of the school fell into Kael's friend group, including teachers, staff, and even parents.
This guy was at max level in socializing.
So as not to be dragged down or embarrassed in any way, Alex tried to be a good student—at least in the eyes of adults. He couldn't give a fu#k about people his own age.
Why would he? It wasn't like any super-rich or powerful people were coming to this trash school of his.
Kael looked around and, finding no one nearby, started debating whether he should go back to sleep or not.
"Well, whatever, I'm a bit thirsty." After a brief internal debate, he decided to head into the canteen.
As Kael entered the canteen, he saw Robert standing near a table, thoughtfully staring at a glass of water.
"YO!" Kael raised one hand and called out.
Robert looked at Kael, blinked once, then made a disgusted face—as if he were looking at trash.
"One goes, another comes," he muttered in a low voice. But when his gaze fell back on the glass, a light bulb seemed to flick on in his mind.
"You're early today. Class starts at 8 o'clock, dude," Kael said as he made his way to Robert.
"Class? Wake up, jerk. Only an idiot like you could forget such an important day," Robert said sharply.
"Huh? Ahhh, right—today's Awakening! No wonder Alex was wearing his school uniform so early. HAHAH!" Kael laughed, remembering how Alex had just told him yesterday not to give a fu#k about the Awakening, and here he was ready before him.
"Stop laughing like a creep."
"Says the one who did it first—and that too so loud! HAHA!"
Robert tilted his head, a big question mark hanging on his head.
After laughing, Kael picked up the glass of water from the table.
"WOAH! Dude, do you seriously believe that?" Kael said as he looked at the super-limited hamburger, raising the glass to his mouth and gulping it down.
"Well, well… does it matter to you, huh?" Robert said with a slight smile.
Kael blinked at Robert's sudden shift in tone. An ominous feeling washed over him.
But alas, it was too late.

A/N:
I wonder if you feel like I am dragging this. But, believe me it's important from each dialogue to paragraph.
Because, I don't want to suddenly introduce an important character atleast not the main one's. I also want to explore the world building with the charcter development.
After initial intoduction I will straight move to the action and more dept introduction of power system.
