Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 From fan girl to makeup artist

Cherry POV

I finally got my motorcycle back, thanks to Marc. We met right after my classes ended, and of course, Belinda had been glued to me the whole day. She wouldn't stop asking questions, dying to know every little detail.

So, I told her everything about how I ended up spending the night at Nathan's place, but even after hearing the whole story, she still refused to leave me alone.

"Are you coming with me to do deliveries?" I asked when I stopped in front of her house, but instead of getting off, she crossed her arms and looked at me suspiciously through the side mirror.

"I still don't believe you, what if you meet Nathan again behind my back?"

"Eii, it can't be, you don't just meet Nathan randomly, you know."

"Right, but if Nathan's fans ever find out you spent the night at his house, you'll be done for good."

"They won't, I pray they won't," I said, pressing my hand to my chest, imagining just how bad it could get.

"Okay, see you tomorrow at campus," she finally said, climbing down from the motorcycle.

"Huh, finally," I sighed in relief, and she just smiled, knowing exactly what I meant.

When I got home, my room was a disaster, so I quickly cleaned it before doing anything else, then I made dinner while catching the latest updates about SG, Nathan's group, and that's when I saw the news and my eyes widened, two new members had joined! Tom and Jason and they were ridiculously handsome, I couldn't wait to see them perform live.

Why did they have to be this good-looking? Nathan, I'm sorry, I bet other fans were as shocked as I was, but when I looked back at Nathan's photo on my wall, I realized something. I was a loyal fan, I still smiled at his face, he was still breathtaking.

The new members were everywhere in the media, people were going crazy over them, and I understood why. Still, I couldn't help wondering if Nathan was okay with all the attention shifting to them.

The next day, after class, I caught an exclusive interview with Nathan on TV. He looked happy, and that made me relax because I'd been worried he might be upset about losing the spotlight, but then… the interviewer brought me up.

"The fan who passed out at your concert, what happened exactly?"

"She's crazy!" Nathan laughed.

"Why do you say that?" the interviewer teased.

"I mean, who passes out just after saying 'you're beautiful'? She's hilarious."

"But I heard you took her to the hospital… and that you flirted with her so much, she couldn't handle it."

Nathan smirked. "Well, she was interesting and clumsy. I've never met anyone like her."

I sat there on my bed, blushing and smiling like an idiot, and Belinda even sent me the same clip, not realizing I was already watching it.

Does Nathan think I'm interesting? I replayed the video over and over until I fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up late little it was the weekend, but I still had to go to the makeup salon for my part-time job, one of the main reasons I fought to get this job was because every now and then one of the top makeup artists would be chosen to work on celebrities, and I dreamed of meeting my favorite singer, model, or actor one day.

When I walked into the salon my coworkers were buzzing.

"Cherry! You're famous now! Did you all see Nathan's interview yesterday?" Amy squealed.

"Yes! I'm so jealous. Cherry, good for you," another chimed in.

Then Anna dropped a bomb. "Guys, guess what! Cherry's been chosen to do Nathan's makeup."

I froze. "What did you just say?"

"Cherry, you're the luckiest girl alive, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance!" Amy grabbed my hands, grinning.

I was speechless. My boss called me into her office and explained why I got the job, saying it was because I was trending, and once I did Nathan's makeup, people would be even more curious about her salon.

Honestly, I didn't care about the reason, all I cared about was that I was going to meet Nathan again, doing his makeup was a big deal every artist wanted that chance, but only the very best were chosen, and my boss reminded me to do my absolute best, and I would, with my two years of experience I was determined to impress… especially Nathan.

The salon driver was given the address to Nathan's house and I pretended not to recognize it, even though I knew exactly where it was.

Thirty minutes later, we arrived, my heart was pounding, and my palms were damp; the driver noticed and told me to relax, but how could I? I was about to see Nathan again.

I rang the doorbell… and when it swung open, I froze.

Nathan, Tom, Jason… and his dangerously handsome manager Samuel, all staring right at me.
