They separated without another word.
One moment Viktor was standing with them, sharp-eyed and unreadable.
Then he bid them good bye,
"Goodbye little one, Good night Alpha" His voice was soft and the next moment he slipped between the trees like a shadow that had simply decided to stop pretending to be human.
There was no sound of movement. No rustle.
Raphael watched him disappear with a tension that sat low in his stomach.
"Should I be concerned at how freely he moves in my park?" he muttered under his breath.
A pause.
"I should." he answered himself.
The forest swallowed Viktor whole.
Raphael finally tore his gaze away and looked down at Julian.
The omega was… dazed. Floating, almost. His breathing was shallow, his skin pale, and his pupils were still a little wide, like he hadn't fully come back into his own body.
Julian's knees looked like they might give out at any moment.
Oh his sweet omega.
Raphael's instincts sharpened instantly.
