Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

A fancy luxury carriage was driving down a dirt road. The type of luxury a normal commoner could never dream of seeing let alone buy one. The four horses carrying the carriage looked as they were born with immense strength having muscles that looked like they were going to burst through their skin. The location this carriage was heading was a village that is at the brink of the Cruvothoge Kingdom. Two people in the carriage is first a old dignified man in a butler uniform. He oozed elegance and competence. The other was a young man early twenties. The young man was obese with hair unkempt and with bangs under his eyes.

Why do I trust people? That was the only thought in this man's head. This young man was Alaric. He was the heir to one of the most powerful marquis family in the kingdom. Or whether he was. Due to the accusations Alaric has been disowned and sent to the edge of the kingdom. One of The accusations is that he was committing crimes against the kingdom and the other is equally or worse then that. The other was that forced himself on a woman at the academy. The evidence was giving by a fellow student there. Alaric claimed his innocence the whole time but due to the amount the kingdom decided that they would do a full investigation. He's parents and sisters believed every word. Not to mention his fiancé has been cheating on him with the guy that gave the false evidence. Though his family said being disowned is only temporary he knew it wasn't. They much whether throw me away then back me up. The butler looked at Alaric with a emotionless face. The man was Robard. He was the head butler for the Nightvale's family. He always had a expressionless face so Alaric never knew what he was thinking. How did my life turn out like this? Alaric always prioritized helping his family and everyone around him. He'd help his youngest sister with her schoolwork even though she always yelled at him for getting close to her. He's second older sister would acted like he was nonexistent so he didn't interact with her much. And his oldest sister would always forget to eat when helping their father with his work. So he would cook for her when she stayed in her office through the night. Then there was Alaric's mother. She is the wife of a marquis and go to functions in the capital and bring and spend time with his sisters and when he would try to spend time with her when he was younger she always had better things to do. So I really don't have anyone. He looked back at his life and realized that even though he was the son of a marquis and had countless people around him. Didn't have a single person he could call family or even a friend. What was my life about if nobody was there for me. I really was a fool to think I had anyone. Just then the carriage came to a stop.

Alaric stepped out to see a village that looked as though it was abandoned. Robard stayed in the carriage and leaned out. "Master Alaric I due hope you learn from this and come back a better and stronger man." With that Robard closed the door and the carriage went off. A better and stronger man? Please don't make me laugh. You guys wouldn't care if I came back a saint or a sinner as long as I didn't hurt your reputations.

Alaric walked through the village that was suppose to be his home for, who knows how long. The village was could barely be called a village. Most of the homes were rundown with some with windows broken and holes in the wall and others looked one storm away from falling over. So this is where they want me to stay. Alaric's thoughts on how his family saw him was getting lower and lower. During the accusations he pleaded to his father and mother to listen to him but all they would say was this was the best. His mother couldn't even look at him and his father looked as he already believed it even without the evidence. And while he was walking to the front door to leave he saw his sisters and each just looked at him with a face of disgust. When he finally got to the carriage and saw that none of his family were going to see him off his despair sunk even farther.

He got to the home Robard said was suppose to be his, but it looked bad just like the rest of the village. Alaric stuck his hand out to grabbed the door. Is this going to be my life now? Sitting in a rundown house waiting to be accepted back or dead here? He hand stopped just before touching the door. Why? Why should I stay here? I mean would they even care that I stayed here? He lowered his hand. I bet if I truly disappeared they wouldn't bat an eye. Alaric looked over at the woods. He had a long thought. Screw it! I'm not going to do what they want! He walked into the forest. If I'm going to dead between rotting in a village on the outskirts of the kingdom or die in the woods by a predator or something. Well at least one was my choice. Even if it was stupid.

Alaric walked further into the woods to the point that he couldn't see the village anymore. The deeper he went to more he realized that this might be a bad idea. But when he thought about living in that village for the rest of his life he decided that he might as well continue. Through the trees and brushes he wondered what he was going to do after he was done walking. Am I just going to another village? I don't know if there is even another village. Maybe the neighboring country? No, even if I do get to another country, which I don't think I can because who knows what in this forest. I'll still be where I was now. No money, no job, and no family support. Alaric was saddened by what his plans were. Just then he heard a noise to his right. Alaric looked over and his heart sunk to the floor. The humongous bear staring back at him didn't look all that friendly.
