"You little girl, you're finally back. What is it about Shrek Academy that you're so reluctant to leave behind?" A burly man with long blue hair arrived beside Wang Dong, his tone teasing. His name was Niu Tian.
Hearing this, Wang Dong's fair face flushed slightly.
This scene naturally didn't escape the perception of the two top experts, and the two brothers stared wide-eyed.
The other burly man was slightly startled. "Big brother, do you think Xiao Dong has someone she likes?" His name was Titan.
Niu Tian glanced at Titan but didn't say anything. "Xiao Dong, you must be tired after traveling so far. Come on, your big dad will take you home."
As he spoke, Niu Tian released a blue soul power, supporting Wang Dong's body and carrying her towards the mountain peak.
Titan scratched his head and quickly followed.
The mountain is over 4,000 meters high. Beyond 3,500 meters, dense clouds form. Strangely, while the clouds appear normal from the outside, those within shimmer with golden light, clearly indicating they are no ordinary cloud.
At the summit, shrouded in mist, sits an ancient castle. Above its sturdy iron gate are several large characters:
Haotian Castle.
This is the ancestral home of the ancient Haotian Sect, but as its disciples rarely venture out, this place has gradually become unknown to outsiders.
Landing on the ground, Wang Dong gazed at the familiar castle, her eyes somewhat dazed. When she looked through the iron gate at the main entrance of Haotian Castle, she froze.
Back when the main team and reserve team were sparring at the academy, Huo Yuhao's illusionary soul skill had caused her to see a scene she dared not recall.
Even though she dared not remember it, whenever she fell asleep, that scene would flood back like a tide.
In the scene, her doting fathers were now standing in front of Haotian Fortress, showering another girl with concern. And that girl was surrounded by more than just them: a man with long, azure hair, and a woman with rabbit ears—they were, without a doubt, her "parents."
No, that wasn't her parents; those were "her" parents. Compared to that girl, she felt like an outsider.
And whenever the memory was about to end, that girl would always appear before her, looking at her with a proud and disdainful expression, saying something she could never understand, even when the conversation was right in front of her.
She knew very well that this wasn't caused by an illusionary soul skill, but by something already hidden deep within her soul. The illusion was merely a trigger, a prelude to relentlessly torment her.
Until one day, the terrifying memories stopped recurring. That day seemed to have started after encountering the auspicious beast in the Star Dou Great Forest.
Combined with something Yuhao had been saying to her all this time…
"I hope the future you will still be the same you as you are now."
This wasn't just a hint; it was practically a declaration.
Did this body truly belong to her?
Did her elders, like Wang Dong, truly dote on her, or on the girl who looked almost identical to her?
Why did all the direct descendants of the Haotian Sect bear the surname Tang, while she did?
Not surnamed Tang, yet she became the young master.
Did this mean from the beginning that she was merely an imposter?
Spreading her hands, gazing at the body, Wang Dong suddenly felt lost. This body, which she had personally experienced joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness in, suddenly felt unfamiliar.
She could tell that Huo Yuhao knew some of her secrets; after all, that guy was so powerful, always able to know things that ordinary people didn't.
Plus, her elders had urged her to return home several times—something important must be happening, right?
Were they planning to kill her and then hand her over to "her"?
Or was she just overthinking things, and this trip home was truly because her elders missed her?
"What's wrong?" Seeing Wang Dong remain silent, Niu Tian couldn't help but laugh. "It hasn't been that long since you came back, and you've already forgotten what home looks like?"
The images in Wang Dong's eyes gradually returned, her thoughts in turmoil. She tentatively asked, "Uncle, what do you think... how much longer can I live?"
How much longer can I live?
These few words, falling on Niu Tian and Titan's ears, made the two brothers' faces freeze.
Niu Tian looked at Wang Dong's extremely serious and clear eyes, feeling a little uneasy and confused, but still said sternly, "You child, what unlucky things are you saying? Your life has just begun. There are many wonderful things waiting for you to see and play in the future. Don't ask such questions again."
Hearing the scolding, Wang Dong smiled and changed the subject, "Uncle, Uncle, I'm starving after rushing back. Could you please get me something to eat? I'm going back to my room to take a shower."
Niu Tian's expression remained unchanged: "Go ahead."
Wang Dong didn't say anything more and turned to leave alone.
Watching Wang Dong walk into the castle, Titan couldn't help but step forward and whisper, "Brother, what's wrong with Wu Tong? This is the first time she's used such a distant word like 'trouble' when talking to us."
Niu Tian's eyes were complicated. "Tang San was so anxious to bring Wu Tong back, it must be because there's something wrong with the Sea God's divine consciousness within Wu Tong, but for some reason, her behavior just now gave me a feeling..."
"A feeling of waiting for death." Titan finished Niu Tian's sentence.
Niu Tian nodded, his tone somber. "Wu Tong seems to think we'll hurt her."
Titan's pupils contracted, and anger surged up instantly. "Was Wu Tong bewitched by someone at Shrek Academy? How could we possibly hurt her? Damn it, I'm going to Shrek Academy right now to demand an explanation."
As he spoke, terrifyingly bright yellow soul power surged from Titan's body, and he moved as if to leave.
Niu Tian immediately roared, "Stop!"
His thunderous shout almost tore through the clouds. A glint of blue light flashed in Niu Tian's eyes; at this moment, his aura was even more solid and majestic than Mu En's.
Titan paused, his fists clenched. He turned around and stood before Niu Tian. "Brother, Wu Tong was only ten years old when she came to us. Although we didn't watch her grow up, I've long regarded her as my daughter. She must be feeling wronged right now, otherwise she wouldn't be like this."
"Don't I regard Wu Tong as my daughter?" Niu Tian slapped Titan on the head. The latter rubbed his head, not daring to refute.
"Go prepare Wu Tong's favorite food. We'll check on things later. Tang San hasn't been urging us lately; something must be happening in the God Realm."
Titan shrank his neck and mumbled, "I know."
"Tang San, Tang San, are you really hiding something from us brothers?" Niu Tian looked up at the sky, his expression quite complicated.
Inside the bathroom, water droplets slid down the snow-white, soft, and flawless body. After showering, Wang Dong stood naked in front of a pile of clothes—clothes for girls.
Looking at the somewhat unfamiliar clothes, Wang Dong couldn't help but smile. These clothes were given to her by Huo Yuhao, but she had never worn them. After all, at Shrek Academy, she always appeared in men's clothing.
Coming out of the bathroom, Wang Dong walked to the mirror.
The girl wore a white and blue fitted long dress that outlined her perfect figure. The hem of the dress barely revealed a section of smooth, jade-like calves. There was a subtle butterfly pattern on the side of her waist and the cuffs. Her long, light blue hair was not tied up at all, but lazily draped over her back.
Her face, unadorned and delicate, was snow-white with a healthy rosy glow. Her red lips were slightly moist, like dewdrops hanging on leaves at dawn, tempting one to taste their sweetness.
Wang Dong pinched his chin, mentally rating it, "Hmm, I should give it over 95 points."
Wait a minute.
Suddenly, Wang Dong remembered something, hurriedly releasing his grip on his chin, exclaiming in panic, "Oh no, oh no, I've been influenced by that Huo Yuhao guy! I've started liking to pinch my chin when I talk too!"
"Young Master, the Second Sect Master has prepared dinner and is waiting for you." Suddenly, a gentle female voice rang out from outside the stone door.
Hearing this, Wang Dong rubbed his cheek with his jade-like hand, calming his emotions, and said calmly, "I'll be there in a bit."
The footsteps of the female disciples of the Haotian Sect faded into the distance.
Glancing at the familiar yet unfamiliar room, Wang Dong took out a few pieces of paper from his storage ring, gently placed them on the stone table, and weighed them down with a cup.
Taking a deep breath, Wang Dong prepared to leave, but just as she stepped forward, she suddenly stumbled, almost fainting. Seeing that she was about to fall, Wang Dong reacted quickly, activating her soul power to steady herself. However, the sudden stumble and discomfort struck her like a thunderbolt, and her eyes instantly dimmed.
Wang Dong recovered, then walked unsteadily out of the room, heading towards the dining room where Niu Tian and Titan usually drank and boasted. She felt something rising in her head, but it didn't hurt or swell. Recalling the soul power her great-father had released when she returned to Haotian Fortress, she vaguely guessed what was going on.
Haotian Fortress had no soul tools; everything used was extremely primitive. Oil lamps hung on the walls along the way, their dim yellow light seemingly swallowed by the darkness outside the windows, burying her figure as well. With
each step, Wang Dong felt her body growing weaker. The only thing that made her feel fortunate was that at least before she died, there would be no pain.
The dining room door was open, and a sweet aroma wafted out, but instead of the joy she usually felt at the smell, she felt a strange aversion.
The liking for certain foods and the dislike for soul tools seemed etched deep within her soul, subtly reminding her from time to time, even though these reminders had completely disappeared lately.
But she wasn't like that; she didn't seem to particularly like this honey-based food, and she longed to use a soul tool, to experience the joy of trying it out with her friends.
As she reached the door, Wang Dong's vision blurred. She shook her head; there seemed to be two people standing in front of her—her eldest and second fathers. Their eyes held a mixture of surprise and panic. Was she mistaken?
But it didn't matter anymore. When her body could no longer support her, Wang Dong's eyes finally closed, and her body slumped to the ground.
...
"Two powerful auras have appeared beside Wang Dong, no weaker than Elder Mu?" Inside the sixth-year dormitory of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy, Huo Yuhao, listening to Electrolux's words, abruptly paused in his hand as he drew the blueprints.
"Hmm, the memory crystal sensed two powerful auras. I'm controlling it remotely. Wang Dong must have fainted by now," Electrolux said.
"That must be Da Ming and Er Ming. Wang Dong has returned to the Clear Sky Sect." Huo Yuhao's eyes showed a hint of worry. He couldn't stop Wang Dong from returning to the Clear Sky Sect because he didn't have the strength. His only hope was to see how Da Ming and Er Ming would decide based on the images in the memory crystal.
Would they continue to brainwash Wang Dong, or deceive Tang San into not making a choice?
"Back then, you asked me to separate a wisp of auspicious energy from the mythical beast to protect Wang Dong's soul. Don't worry, even if something happens, the auspicious energy will protect her soul. Her soul will never be destroyed."
Seemingly aware of his disciple's worries, Electrolux comforted him.
Huo Yuhao's eyes flickered. "Hopefully, things will turn out well. If Wang Dong is alright, she should be able to hear the message I left for her in the memory crystal."
"If something happens to her, then the Haotian Sect has no reason to exist in the future."
...
"Big brother, what exactly happened to Wu Tong?" Titan was so anxious , almost turning into a monkey, as he watched Niu Tian, who was using his soul power to examine Wang Dong's body.
Strands of azure soul power flowed from Wang Dong's wrist into his body. The more Niu Tian examined, the more his brows furrowed, almost enough to trap flies.
"Wu Tong's body is perfectly fine. On the contrary, her soul power and blood energy are exceptionally strong." Niu Tian withdrew his soul power, his expression surprised.
"Huh?" Titan looked incredulous. "If nothing was wrong, would she have fainted? Big brother, you're not kidding me."
Before Titan could react, Niu Tian said, "I suspect there's something wrong with Wu Tong's spiritual sea. Let me check again."
He placed his finger on Wang Dong's brow, channeling strands of spiritual energy into it.
Titan watched anxiously.
What the two brothers didn't know was that Wang Dong, who had fainted, had awakened within her own spiritual sea. However, her consciousness had no body, drifting like dust in the world.
"Where am I?" Wang Dong stared blankly at the surging waves of the world, but quickly a term came to mind: "Spiritual sea?"
"Big brother, what happened to Wu Tong?"
Suddenly, just as Wang Dong was staring blankly at this clear, ocean-like spiritual sea, a voice seemed to come from the heavens, landing within it.
"It's Second Father's voice..." Wang Dong froze. She wasn't dead?
Judging from his second uncle's tone, he seemed still worried about him—no, he should be worried about that person named Wu Tong.
A bitter smile touched Wang Dong's lips.
So, Wu Tong was the name of the girl deep in her memory who looked just like her?
Niu Tian and Titan's conversation continued, but Wang Dong couldn't hear it clearly anymore. Even though she was prepared, when her first and second uncles no longer referred to her as Xiao Dong or Dong'er, her heart felt as if it were being squeezed tightly. It turned out that all the concern she had shown over the years was real, yet also fake.
Just as Wang Dong was about to cry from disappointment, she seemed to hear a clearer voice, also a male voice, but not Niu Tian or Titan.
This startled her; if she hadn't lost her spiritual form, she would have stared wide-eyed.
"Lazybones, can you hear me? If you can, it means your soul is still intact. I left something in your spiritual sea. From now on, remember, just listen and see, absolutely do not reveal it. If you want to cry, I'll be waiting for you at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy. Don't you like grilled fish? I'll get you some, as much as you want, no charge! Oh, and when you get here, I'll give you another surprise."
A voice, both teasing and playful yet serious, rang out.
"Yuhao..." As the last word fell, Wang Dong froze, muttering blankly. That voice... she knew it all too well.
Having already given up hope, Huo Yuhao's voice seemed like a ray of sunshine dispelling the gloom, and everything seemed less unbearable.
When Wang Dong returned home from the academy, she had been thinking a lot. The various oddities of the past few days had already made her suspicious. Her uncles hadn't been urging her earlier or later, but it just so happened that they were urging her after the trip to the Star Dou Great Forest. And coincidentally, after returning from the Star Dou Great Forest, she was no longer bothered by that memory. This made sense.
Perhaps something had happened to the "Wu Tong" hidden deep within her, which was why she was so anxious to call her back.
Although she accepted whatever might happen upon returning home, good or bad, she
found herself unable to bear it. She realized she had always been just a fake. Her so-called home and family belonged to others; even her body seemed to belong to no one.
But now, Wang Dong suddenly felt less distressed. Perhaps the home and family were fake, but the guy who had fought with her on the first day of school, scaring her classmates so much they wet their pants, was real.
The guy who brought her breakfast every day was real.
The guy who liked to call her lazy was real.
He belonged solely to her, not "her."
"Unfortunately… I probably can't go to your place."
A slightly regretful laugh faded away.
"Whoosh."
Suddenly, from the dome of her spiritual sea, rays of intense, soft light poured in from the outside, as if surveying something, constantly sweeping across it.
Wang Dong stared in terror at the scene before him, not daring to utter a sound for fear of attracting the attention of those he had once called "Big Father" and "Second Father."
However, as the soft light swept across the sea of his spiritual sea, it suddenly trembled violently.
"What is that?" Niu Tian's voice descended from the sky, seemingly surprised.
Wang Dong's consciousness was the first to notice the abrupt change.
The once calm sea began to churn, gradually coalescing into a magnificent crystal.
"Is this what Yu Hao left behind?" Wang Dong subconsciously recalled Huo Yu Hao's words.
"Crack."
Just as the crystal took shape and Niu Tian looked on in astonishment, a shattering sound rang out. The magnificent crystal split open, scattering beams of colorless light.
Outside, on Wang Dong's forehead, between his brows, a burst of colorless light erupted.
This scene caused Niu Tian and Titan to exchange glances. The latter said in a deep voice, "Was this left behind by Tang San?"
Niu Tian didn't speak. The two brothers hadn't stayed in the God Realm for long before being sent back to Douluo Continent, so they didn't really understand much about Tang San's abilities.
"Wu Tong's body is stable, nothing happened. It seems that it really is..." Niu Tian sensed that Wang Dong hadn't been harmed by the appearance of this faint light and breathed a sigh of relief. But
before he could finish speaking, suddenly, the faint light that had been released condensed into a light screen in mid-air.
Just as the two brothers were stunned, a series of images appeared.
The place within the light screen was a forest. In the center of the screen, nine-colored light radiated outwards, and a strangely shaped soul beast was touching the forehead of a human.
"A mythical beast, the Star Dou Great Forest?"
How could Niu Tian and Titan not recognize the soul beast and this forest? Both of them were shocked.
But the next moment, an even more astonishing scene unfolded. On the other side of the screen stood a boy with short, light blue hair—none other than Wang Dong.
As the nine-colored light swept across the scene, it also fell upon him. The next instant, a strange blue-gold light detached from his body. The boy shook his head, then returned to normal.
As soon as the blue-gold light left his body, it flew towards the auspicious beast and merged into it through its head.
The scene quickly shifted to a world filled with seawater—the world of the Sea of Spirit.
Clearly, this was the auspicious beast's Sea of Spirit.
Once the blue-gold light entered the Sea of Spirit, it immediately began its invasion, aggressively occupying it.
The two brothers watched, speechless.
When the blue-gold light had occupied a large portion of the Sea of Spirit, a beautiful figure appeared within it, protected by the blue-gold light, preparing to merge into the Sea of Spirit. This beautiful figure was none other than Wang Dong, now back in his female attire.
"Wu Tong?"
Niu Tian and Titan stared at her, their faces instantly filled with astonishment. How could she appear in the body of the auspicious beast in soul form? And who was Wu Tong controlling the physical body now?
Just as Tang Wu Tong's figure gradually merged into the auspicious beast's spiritual sea, endless nine-colored light poured in from the outside, quickly breaking through the blue-gold light.
Tang Wu Tong, who was about to complete her possession of the auspicious beast, didn't even have time to resist before she screamed in agony within the nine-colored light and was torn apart into countless fragments.
At this moment, the scene changed again. Outside, Wang Dong was still standing there...
"Whoosh." When the playback ended, the light screen immediately dissipated, leaving Niu Tian and Titan stunned in place.
Wu Tong's soul had been protected by the Sea God's divine consciousness, intending to possess the auspicious beast, but was ultimately torn apart by the power of fate. So who was the soul in this body now?
If that's the case, then the Wu Tong who came down from the God Realm was actually Dong'er from the beginning? This soul was only temporarily taking over Wu Tong's body?
Within the spiritual sea, a spiritual entity condensed and took shape—it was Wang Dong.
She covered her mouth tightly, as if afraid to make a sound. Not only Niu Tian and Titan witnessed everything, but she did the same.
It turned out she really was just an imposter; the one who was shattered was the true owner of this body.
Her body trembled but gradually calmed down. Wang Dong sighed and finally lowered her hand from her mouth. If the original owner of this body was dead, was her existence superfluous to her great-uncle and great-uncle?
Oh wait, would they still accept her calling them great-uncle and great-uncle?
As Wang Dong's thoughts became chaotic, her consciousness began to blur, as if she had been banished from her spiritual sea.
"Big...Big brother...this..." Titan tried to say something, but he was already stammering.
Niu Tian's expression shifted repeatedly as he said in a deep voice, "No wonder he was so anxious to call Wu Tong back. I understand now."
"But auspicious beasts are the most auspicious of all soul beasts. If one is possessed and dies, it will be a huge blow to the entire soul beast population. Even without the blessing of an auspicious beast, the reproduction rate of soul beasts will decrease significantly, which will also be a huge blow to humanity. Why would Tang San do this?"
Niu Tian was very confused. His fists clenched, showing his inner turmoil.
He remembered Tang San saying that he would only hunt evil soul beasts.
You're telling me auspicious beasts are evil?
Half of Tang San's blood comes from soul beasts. By doing this, aren't you more evil than those so-called evil soul beasts?
"Big brother, Wu... Dong'er is awake." Just as anger and confusion arose in Niu Tian's heart, Titan subconsciously reminded him.
Niu Tian turned his head and saw that Wang Dong, who had been unconscious, had opened her eyes.
Their eyes met.
Wang Dong first looked at herself blankly, then looked up at Niu Tian and Titan.
She pursed her lips, smiled bitterly, somewhat at a loss, "Then how should I address you?"
Niu Tian and Titan were startled, the former subconsciously saying, "Dong'er, you..."
"I saw and heard everything." Wang Dong lowered her head, then raised it again, smiling bitterly, "I didn't expect I was a fake."
Niu Tian and Titan fell silent; even now, neither of them knew what had happened.
But Niu Tian had a vague guess in his mind: Tang San had split his own daughter's soul.
Damn, is this something a father would do?
Wang Dong forced a smile and said, "I'll still call you Uncle and Second Uncle. I hope you don't mind. I don't know what just appeared, and I don't know how Wu Tong is doing. I'll just sit here now. If you need to get her body back, then do it. I believe it should be quite easy for two Limit Douluos to erase the soul of a Soul Master."
His words struck the brothers like a thunderbolt.
At that moment, Niu Tian and Titan understood why Wang Dong had asked them how much longer they could live after returning home.
She had already sensed something was wrong, but hadn't dared to confirm it until now.
Seeing that the two didn't answer, Wang Dong forced a smile and asked, "Can I ask you, since I'm an imposter, does that mean my childhood memories are also false? Because I heard the name Tang San; he's from ten thousand years ago. If Wu Tong is his daughter, she should be living in the legendary God Realm, right? Then my childhood memories in Douluo Continent must have been filled in, right?"
Looking at Wang Dong's questioning gaze, Niu Tian and Titan subconsciously swallowed, a sense of panic rising within them.
"I understand." Wang Dong nodded to herself. She didn't cry; instead, she smiled, but the sadness in her eyes couldn't be erased.
"No, you are Wu Tong, and you are also Dong'er, but…" Niu Tian said urgently, "It's just that your soul has been split. The little girl who accompanied my second and third fathers has always been you. We were just deceived by Tang San."
"We thought you were Wu Tong whose memories were sealed, but now it seems that it wasn't a sealed memory, but a split soul. One part of your soul controls your body, and the other part is used to try and possess the auspicious beast."
By the end, Niu Tian's expression had turned ugly. Veins bulged on his forehead, and he wanted to confront Tang San directly.
Titan, who was standing to the side, was obviously not as quick-witted as Niu Tian, but he quickly understood, and a look of shock flashed in his eyes.
A split soul?
Hearing this, Wang Dong shook her head. She calmly stood up, standing straight even in front of two Limit Douluo powerhouses over two meters tall, without the slightest fear. She said, word by word,
"There is no Tang Wutong. I have always been Dong'er. I only have one name: Wang Dong'er."
"Before, and in the future."
"Even after death."
Hearing her clear, melodious, and firm tone, Niu Tian and Titan were both stunned.
"But Uncle, you're right. Tang San is so eager for me to return because he wants to take back his daughter's body, right? Let's do as he says, otherwise you'll be punished by Tang San." Wang Dong'er spoke of Tang
San in a calm tone, unaffected by the name that had resonated across the continent for nearly ten thousand years, as if it had nothing to do with her.
She knew in her heart that she couldn't leave alive. Even if she could, her uncles would definitely be punished, and she didn't want that to happen. So, she would rather die.
Seemingly sensing what Wang Dong'er was thinking, Niu Tian clenched his fists. "Dong'er, you'll be alright, your eldest father promises you."
Titan's pupils blazed with anger. "That's right, your second father also promises you, even if Tang San comes, he can't take you away. That damned bastard, he can split his own daughter's soul in two, we were truly blind to have sacrificed him back then."
"Second brother."
Just as Wang Dong'er was stunned, Niu Tian spoke up in a loud voice, "Take Dong'er back to Shrek Academy. There's a Sea God Pillar left by Tang San in the Clear Sky Sect, I'm afraid he might suddenly release a clone to descend to the mortal realm and find Dong'er."
"No problem." Titan nodded solemnly.
"Big Uncle, Second Uncle," Wang Dong'er was taken aback at first, then hurriedly said, "If I leave, you will definitely..."
"What are you afraid of?" Niu Tian smiled nonchalantly and said, "Big Uncle and Second Uncle have both died once, we're not afraid of dying again. Besides, if Tang San really dares to kill us, we'll just fight to the death. Even if a god is like an ant in front of a god king, I can still detonate myself before I die to lure another god king. Hehe, my gods stay in the lower realm all year round, which is a violation of the laws of the god realm."
"Let's go, don't go back to the Clear Sky Sect in the future. Although Tang San can monitor the lower realm, things are happening frequently in the god realm now, he can't monitor Douluo Continent as freely as before. It's safer for you to go to Shrek Academy than here."
"Second Brother," Niu Tian shouted loudly.
Titan smiled, and before Wang Dong'er could react, a bright yellow soul power spread out, directly enveloping Wang Dong'er. The next moment, with the tearing of space, Titan and Wang Dong'er suddenly left Clear Sky Fortress.
"Tang San, oh Tang San, how could you have become like this in just a few years? That's your daughter!"
Niu Tian picked up a wine gourd and walked to the window. Through the glass, he looked into a tall tower on the edge of a cliff.
There stood a Sea God Pillar, allowing Tang San to communicate with the lower realm at any time. There were two such pillars in Douluo Continent:
one in the Clear Sky Sect, and the other on Sea God Island.
(Shamelessly asking for some monthly votes...)
Actually, Da Ming and Er Ming clearly still harbored a longing for the Soul Beast race; otherwise, Douluo San wouldn't have proactively established the Ten Thousand Beast Platform to protect the remaining Soul Beasts.
Therefore, I don't quite agree with Tang San asking Da Ming and Er Ming to help him acquire auspicious beasts, but since the original work didn't clearly state it, I'll consider it my secondary interpretation.
