Qian Renjue said calmly, his answer ambiguous.
He took a step closer to the table.
Zhu Zhuqing said anxiously,
"What...what do you want to do? Don't come any closer! I'll call for help!"
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you,"
Qian Renjue sat down opposite Zhu Zhuqing, a smile on his face.
He looked at Zhu Zhuqing with some curiosity.
Something must have happened just now; someone had made her cry.
He glanced at the still-warm fish balls on the table.
Qian Renjue smiled and said,
"Don't mind if I eat something?"
He reached into the bag.
"Wait!"
Zhu Zhuqing called out urgently.
"What's wrong?"
Qian Renjue looked at the little girl before him. Her black hair and gentle features
made her appear fragile.
"This...this was given to me by my sister. It might be poisonous,"
