"What have you done."
The hunchback old man shouted, at the second youngest man in the room, who was visibly shaking with sweat rolling down his face.
"It...it... was him, he put me up to this, saying Uche had not bled once since he started this job, so he told me to do this."
The second youngest man said with a shaky voice, as he pointed at one of the middle aged men, who were operating the large circular saw.
"Idiot, I only ask to find a way to injure him so he could bleed, after all, he's the only one who hadn't gotten any wound since starting this job, but you have gone too far."
The middle aged man argued, with a hint of worried on his face.
"Take him to the hospital, now."
The old man shouted, as Uche was still screaming in pain.
But just as they move towards him, he stopped screaming, then picked up his severed arm with his other arm, he took a few steps back, towards the exit, and said with tears rolling down his face.
"No need to take me to the hospital, I guess it's my last day here."
Several tiny blood tentacles emerge from the stump, and approach his severed arm which was pointed to the stump, the tentacles move like a swarm of bloody worm and upon making contact with the arm, it was forcefully moved towards the stump making Uche scream again, but when he stopped screaming, his arm had been back on his body.
Everyone move back, an expression of fear clearly written on their face with their lips shivering, finding the best word to say, it was the old man, who didn't have the same reaction as others, he only had his eyes wide opened as a single word escaped his mouth.
"Connect."
The man muttered, still staring at Uche.
"Connect?"
Everyone repeated as they turned their heads and focus their attention on the old man, and before they could turn back, Uche had already burst out of the workshop.
"Get him, he must not go, he's a walking van full of gold."
The old man shouted as Uche left the room.

A young man was walking by the roadside of a small street, with only a few people walking on the road as it was night time. The young man wore a black hood with a black trouser, and his hand in the pocket of his hood as he gently walk forward.
A short brown guitar was strapped to his back.
He had his head down as he walk forward, with the hood covering his face. Just as he got to a three ways road, where he was to make a left turn, a small white bus zoomed forward and suddenly packed in front of him, blocking his way.
He took two steps back as the bus stopped right in front of him, the door slid opened and a middle aged man could be seen sitting on a bench, alone in the bus, he had a raven black hair with bright glowing skin, his eyes are big and a cigarette could be seen in his hand as he stare at the hooded young man with a smile on his face.
"Wow those lovely eyes, I want them."
The man said as he jumped down from the bus, staring at the young hooded man.
"I want those eyes."
Before the hooded young man could talk or try to run, he felt something hit him from behind, and in the next moment, he passed out.
He didn't know what happened after that, but when he regained his consciousness back, he met himself in an unknown place, with his eyes missing and his abdomen cut opened.
Everything happened so fast after he woke up, his body healed up in a minute, a strange feeling pulled him towards his eyes, and he could also hear a trembling voice screaming for help and calling the guards, terrified.
He was able to get one of his eyes before the guards arrived, and he had no choice but to escape through the window of a 21 story building, where his leg had broken in the process, but healed back a minute later and he continue running forward.

Uche suddenly woke in his room with his hand on his head as he had just had several nightmares in his sleep, an eye patch could be seen covering his left eye and he had a terrified look on his face as he recall the content of his nightmare.
Well, if it could even be called a nightmare, it's just the memories of several horrors he had gone through in his life, that resurface through his head. He touch the black eye patch on his face, and sigh.
"Ah, another one added to the collection."
Uche always had this nightmare whenever he survive a new life and death situation, several memories of the horrors he had gone through will surface through his head, till the recent one.
All of this started at the age of five, when Uche discovered the strange ability of his body to heal itself from almost every injury, almost like an immortal. Although, having your body heal from every injury would have been something incredible, but the sight isn't something great to behold, and his friends always see him as a monster.
He didn't know what's wrong with him at that time and always ask his grandmother he happens to be living with, but she would always tell him to try not to get hurt again, or tell him to learn to protect himself. This always bother him a lot because he's always treated like an outcast among his friends both in school and at home, his friends are always scared of him.
Another thing he don't always understand is the fact that, whenever he got a serious injury, he would feel an incredible pain in his stomach, due to hunger, as if all his energy had been drained, and whenever this happened, his grandmother would give him nothing but several countless cooked meat.
He don't know the reason for this.
Until he couldn't take it anymore, he had realized that his grandmother knew something about him but kept quiet, so he had threatened her that if she didn't tell him what he wanted to know, he would leave home and never return again.
But to his surprise, she was fine with it, his grandmother didn't complain about his decision, leaving Uche with no choice but to leave his grandmother's care because he hate to go back on his words, and that's where he had made a grave mistake.
Living outside his granny's care was a hell in a cell for him, not only was everyone scared of him because of his inhuman body, but some people are also after him for the same reason, and he had no choice but to live his whole life in hiding.
He didn't know if it would've been the same if he was still under his granny's care, but one thing he had learned to do is to protect himself and try not to get hurt, like his grandmother always told him.
Whenever people discovered his extraordinary body, two different reaction would always be given, the common one is horror, fear and hatred, this set of people always call him Monster and run away. While the second reaction, one that doesn't make any sense at all, it's that of admiration, hunger, jealousy and greed, this set of people would call him Connect, and always run after him, in contrast to the first one.
But only a few always give this reaction, maybe 2 or 5 out of 100.
Uche didn't know the reason for the second reaction, the first is a bit understandable, but the second reaction doesn't make any sense to him, until he decided to make a research about the word 'Connect' that they call him.
Through this research, he was able to understand the second reaction and also learn a few things.
It turns out that Connect is an Urban - Legend with a strange power, he doesn't know why they call it Connect but through his research, he was able to learn that this Connect is an evolved race of humans, a set of people with an immortal body.
A set of people that cannot die. At least that's what he was able to find in his research.
There had been a few of them in the past, but they're not on a good terms with the humans because humans were trying to use them as some sort of experiment to attain immortality themselves, so they were in disagreement at that time, and this Connect people are at a disadvantage as the humans outnumbered them.
There were very few of them, although, their number wasn't mentioned in his research, but he guess that they're up to fifty.
He imagine fifty of these people against a couple billions of human, they stood no chance.
But the problem is that humans were unable to kill this people, they're immortals and also seemed to have some strange powers, apart from their natural healing, but the humans was unable to know or learn about their ability, and a direct clash was narrowly avoided at that time, but some people still go around fighting them, none of those people ever returned to tell the story though.invlk
They live with the humans for a few decades until one day, they all disappeared just as they had appeared, they're never seen again, almost as if they had ceased to exists, vanished into thin air just as they had come. Till this day, nobody on earth know about their disappearance.
Humans felt like fool at that time because they were able to learn nothing about them, and the government has placed a bounty that whoever bring a Connect for them will be heavily rewarded.
This was several centuries ago, and the humans had given up on the search of a Connect to attain immortality, in fact, there are only a few people alive who know about the Connect Legend, and these few people learned about it through different tales that had been shared.
No living soul in the Connect era was alive now, but those who had heard their story and know about them would do anything in their capabilities to find one, if they heard that a Connect suddenly appeared.
And Uche learning about this knew he was in for a big trouble, not only did he know nothing about this Connect people and their strange power, but he also lack the knowledge of how he became one.
He is very sure that he's not from his bloodline, although, he know nothing about his parent as they both died immediately he was born, his mother died right after he was delivered while his father died in a car accident upon hearing his wife demise.
He grew up with his grandmother and she was the one who told him about the lost of his parent.
If they were both Connect, a child delivery shouldn't have killed his mother, and a mere car accident shouldn't have killed his father, he himself had been through worse.
And his grandmother is even a cripple, so everything doesn't make any sense to him.
The saving grace he had was that only a few people in this era knew about the urban legend Connect, and he had done a great job in protecting his identity, even those who knew about him did not have any sort of his identity.
But here's where the problem comes in, Uche is hundred percent sure that the lab he had escaped from will surely have a CCTV camera all over the place, and he had heard the old man in lab coat called him Connect.
It would be an eternal problem for him if they decided to spilt his identity out, but he doubt they would.
Although, he didn't know how he got into the lab, all he remembered was someone talking about his eyes before he felt something hit him and pass out, but he doesn't need a great mind to tell him that these people are organ traffickers, which means they won't dare to share his footage to the public or government.
Not only would they be caught and arrested for their illegal business, but they can't also let Uche slip off their finger, they would get him for themselves and use him as an endless supply of organs, instead of giving him to the government who would use him as a lab rat.
"Am I going to flew here again? Damn, it's not even half a year I packed in."
Uche is very sure that the organ traffickers will be on his tail very soon, and he needs to make a quick decision.
Just as he was thinking about it, he suddenly felt a slight pain on the empty socket of his left eye, where there's an eye patch.
"Arghh."
He yelp as he place his palm on the eye patch and something strange started happening to him.
