Chapter 5 - Cultivating the Ancient Method

Just as Long Xuan was looking at the animal skin.

Little One, making baby noises, chased after the Five-Colored Sparrow and ran out, his bright, shiny eyes fixed on the Willow Deity. Long Xuan suddenly thought of the phrase "Little Hao chasing the sparrow," and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Ee ya... Willow Deity, I want to cultivate too."

Looking at this little rascal, the Willow Deity was also very concerned. His experiences were somewhat similar to her own, and his potential was also limitless.

She said softly, "First, cultivate Blood Mobilization to a hundred thousand jin, and then I'll guide you."

Little One nodded, encouraging himself: "I will definitely achieve it!"

With that, he ran back in a flash.

Seeing Shi Hao return, Long Xuan also bid farewell to the Willow Deity, saying, "Sister, I'm going to cultivate now. One day, I will fight alongside you."

The Willow Deity was momentarily stunned, understanding the meaning behind his words. Watching his departing figure, she sighed, "Will there be enough time for you to grow? And it's so difficult."

She didn't dwell on his words. Ordinary cultivation already required an extremely long time, and surpassing the extreme realm would take even longer.

Looking at the simple and solemn houses of Stone Village, wisps of smoke drifted from the chimneys of each household, brimming with vitality. His heart was at peace; this was where his soul belonged!

"Though life is like an ant, one should have the ambition of a swan; though fate is as thin as paper, one should have an unyielding heart."

Suddenly.

Long Xuan saw a group of burly men going out with knives, spears, and clubs. Feeling curious, he ran over and asked, "Uncle, are you going hunting?"

Shi Linhu, the leader, said with a smile, "Yes, Little Xuan, the people in the village need food."

Hearing that they were going to find food, Long Xuan suddenly remembered that he had scavenged a large pile of things when he had nothing better to do.

Hurry, he took out the corpses of twenty ferocious beasts, which appeared before them.

There were One-Horned Bears, Kui Beasts, and various other ferocious beasts.

Seeing so much food, Shi Linhu and his hunting party all widened their eyes.

Shi Feijiao even patted Long Xuan's shoulder hard and laughed, "Good kid, you're so capable, this will last a long time." The others also laughed in agreement. Every time they went out, there would be casualties, and perhaps not even the bodies would be left behind.

Long Xuan shook his head, saying it was okay, he didn't mind putting in some effort while he was here.

Shi Linhu arranged for people to carry all of these inside, releasing the blood to be used for medicated baths.

Watching them carry the food away, Long Xuan also found a place to practice without being disturbed.

The next day, when the sky brightened, the Morning Light appeared. He inhaled deeply, letting it enter his body through his nostrils, replenishing his essence. The Runes recorded in the Bone Book could open the door to Blood Mobilization cultivation.

The blood in his body surged rapidly. Runes collided, giving birth to new runes. His body surface glowed with morning light, and his physical strength was slowly increasing.

He had a vision that would definitely surpass all those who came before him, and this also required an absolutely powerful physical body to bear it.

One hundred thousand jin was not the limit of Blood Mobilization. Shi Hao could reach one hundred and eight thousand jin, the true limit, and I would exceed this value.

Half a month passed. Every morning, he went to Stone Cloud Peak to drink some beast milk, and then he would eat the morning light and comprehend the ancient text.

"Hey ya!" A childish voice came. Long Xuan opened his eyes and looked over. Hu Zi and Da Zhuang were running over.

Da Zhuang shouted, "Brother, let's go rob some bird nests together!" They had all seen Long Xuan lift the hundred thousand jin cauldron back then. His strength was greater than that of most adults, so it would be safer to bring him along.

Long Xuan smiled and agreed. Little One also wanted to go, but they all disagreed. He was too young, and it would be too dangerous. They said they would take him next time.

Seeing that they were all like this, Little One could only nod his head in dejection.

The primeval forest was perpetually dim and gloomy, the lingering auras of various ferocious beasts sending chills down one's spine.

"Roar!"

The roars of wild beasts echoed from afar, as deafening as thunder. Rocks shattered, trees swayed violently, and fallen leaves swirled in the air. There was definitely a large, fierce beast not far off.

"Brother Hu, it's too dangerous here, let's go back!" Some of the more timid children were already thinking of returning.

Their Stone Village was located near the deep mountains and old forests, so they naturally knew how dangerous this place was. There were all sorts of ferocious beasts and poisonous insects, and even their fathers had to be extremely careful, lest they lose their lives.

These children were not very old. One of them, with thick eyebrows and large eyes, looked like an adult. He was called Da Zhuang. He looked at another person and asked, "Pi Hou, how far is it?"

Pi Hou was thin, and true to his name, he was as clever as a monkey. He scratched his head and thought for a moment before saying, "My old man said it's not far."

Da Zhuang turned to them and asked, "We'll be there soon, do you still want to go?"

More than half of the people were interested and nodded in agreement.

Seeing that many people agreed, Da Zhuang led the children forward.

The trees began to thin out, and exposed rocks began to appear more frequently, accompanied by a surge of ominous energy.

The ground was covered with piles of white bones, a shocking sight.

Pi Hou looked around and whispered, "I heard from my dad that it's right here."

The other bear children perked up at this, becoming more alert.

Roar!

Suddenly, a long howl echoed out, as if piercing through the clouds and splitting rocks.

Overwhelming pressure came at them, and a huge shadow enveloped them.

They looked up and saw a near-pure-blood Jiao Dragon above them.

Their faces all turned pale. For them, a late-stage Heavenly Cave realm ferocious beast was something they couldn't possibly handle.

Even Long Xuan was a bit solemn; a whole major realm separated them, making this tricky.

However, if he didn't act, these people would be in danger.

He channeled his energy, unleashing pure dragon威, suppressing the Jiao Dragon. At the same time, he struck out with a True Dragon Claw, the dragon纹 shimmering, blotting out the sky.

After these past few days of studying the Runes, his mastery of the True Dragon Treasure Technique had grown, and its power was now even more potent.

Affected by the dragon威, the Jiao Dragon was already scared witless. A single True Dragon Claw struck its body, instantly shattering scales and causing blood to flow freely, and it let out a miserable cry.

Taking advantage of its weakness, Long Xuan leaped onto the Jiao Dragon's head, and began to rain down punches on its face, employing a thug-like fighting style. He pummeled it mercilessly, causing it to howl in pain.

The children, who had been terrified just moments before, were now dumbfounded, staring at Long Xuan as if he were a humanoid beast.

Relying on his powerful physique, Long Xuan engaged in close combat, all while asking, "Are you going to submit? Come back with me and guard the village."

The Jiao Dragon's face was a bloody mess, and it felt incredibly wronged. It had only come out to roar, but it ended up getting beaten up. Now, it was being asked to guard some village? It immediately lost its temper, shaking its head violently and throwing Long Xuan off.

Seeing it still wouldn't submit, Long Xuan rolled up his sleeves and tangled with the Jiao Dragon again. Treasure techniques flew everywhere, rocks shattered, and trees were uprooted.

The group of children had already run far away, cheering them on.

After half an hour of fighting, the Jiao Dragon didn't have a single good spot on its body and collapsed to the ground. Long Xuan's clothes were also torn, and he was bleeding from the corner of his mouth, suffering a minor injury.

He changed into a new black robe and beckoned the children over.

Da Zhuang and the others ran over when they saw Long Xuan waving, and they gasped when they saw the Jiao Dragon's miserable state.

Long Xuan gave a thumbs up to Shi Linhu and said, "Brother, you're fierce! You really beat this big guy up!"

Long Xuan chuckled and said, "I caught a gatekeeper for the village."

Then, the Jiao Dragon walked over and kicked it twice, shouting, "Get up, let's go home!"

It seemed to have been subdued and didn't resist, standing up obediently.

Long Xuan stood directly on its back, beckoning to the others, "Come on up!"

They didn't dawdle and climbed aboard. The Jiao Dragon just glanced at them and did nothing.

With a roar, it soared into the sky, flying in the direction Long Xuan indicated.

They didn't get any bird eggs this time, but they caught a Jiao Dragon, so the children were still happily cheering.
