Chapter 14 - Side Story: Isekai Of peace

There were many things wrong with the world, and she had many things to do, but first things were first: vengeance. As she sat meditating, preparing for the upcoming finale she had been wishing for. She felt an age-old voice in her head that she called the narrator ask her a silly question.

Narrator: "Was it worth it?"

She thought the question was silly and put it aside. After meditating, she spoke with one of her younger recruits, who was thrilled to meet her. They were talking about what they were going to do after everything when she heard the narrator laugh. So mentally, she asked

"What's so funny?"

The narrator replied, "Your story's end has already been written."

Confused, she asked it "What do you mean by that?"

The Narrator said bluntly, "You are nothing more than a burned to ash Vengance Story. A Cautionary tale to those who seek to get back at those who have wronged you and to burn everything with them."

She confidently replied, "My Vengeance is justified-"

The Narrator cut her off, "You have made vengeance your entire purpose and self to the point that you have lost. There is no situation here in which you win. You have let them get into your head to the point that they are, in fact, a key part of a core aspect of yourself."

She tried to rebuttle but the narrator continued "The moment this is over there is nothing left for you. All the stress you built up aswell as the health problems you have been ignoring will give you a moment of peace before killing you off at the end. There will be no satisfactory ending cause your vengeance is so shallow one could mistake it for a droplet of water on the ground."

She felt her blood run cold as she realized she was a character in a book. A cautionary tale of vengeance gone wrong, or as the narrator corrected her. A Tale of letting vengeance dominate you.

She noticed ripples on a nearby mirror, and the moment she touched it, she was pulled in as a fake was pushed out. Hearing the narrator say, "I can't fix you or this world anymore, but I know a place for you to learn peace."

Last she saw was a starry sky as she landed on some fuzzy grass near a sign that said "Welcome to Mythos Pass"
