Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

"Studied about me? In which way?" He questioned again, but this time he was curious.

"The way in which enemies do" ------ I said with the same tone he used before to let the words have their time to settle. He is now surprised... my reply was also unexpected to him. I smile at the possibility.

After a while, he spoke, "Who are you?" in a way that shows he can't figure me out. He can't figure out who I am yet, and it's surely making him feel odd. We are like this... when people and things around us are not in our control, we feel uncomfortable.

I smirk and chuckle darkly at the feel of making him uncomfortable.

"Answer." He said, face now turned emotionless and voice demanding.

I lock my eyes with him, making my face emotionless like his. Suddenly, the fact that I am sitting on the floor is becoming more obvious to me. My voice is calm and firm as I speak. "I am the daughter of Park Minho and the sister of Park Jimin and Jungkook. I am Ji Yeon."

His face is still emotionless as I pause to let the words settle and to see if he gives out any reaction. He doesn't; his face is still cold as ice, but I can still sense that he was not expecting this out of everything. I can sense that he is exactly as surprised as I was before, even though he doesn't show it, and the thought of giving him a return surprise makes me feel satisfied.

He was clearly not expecting the daughter and the sister of his enemies to be sitting in front of him, helping him to treat his wound, to touch him, to see his mansion, and to drive his car. Just like I wasn't

I could recognize him if he were anybody, but the reason I couldn't was... he never publicly showed his face. That's why, despite studying about him, I couldn't figure out his face, but now, out of everyone, his enemy knows his face.

However, the fact that I can't go and tell my parents or my brothers that I saw his face, even though it will help us in many ways, is because he used to do some work outside the underworld too, but we can't track it because of no sources present.

After a while of staring at me with his cold gaze, he spoke, "The Park family has a daughter?" He said it to himself rather than asking me. His voice is cold but settling, and then he chuckles, a short but rude one.

I stare at him, noting his every move.

"That makes so much sense now." He said again, locking his gaze with mine. "You must have been born after my mother's murder." He said, his voice cold again but now laced with a little disgust and hatred as he stated it as if it was a simple fact in a timeline.

"Or we can say the betrayal," I replied quickly, and he glared at me.

The Kim and Park families were once allies, friends, and partners in the underground world. But when the Kim family betrayed us and sided with our enemies, years of trust were shattered overnight. What remained was nothing but hatred and blame. When I delved into the past, I discovered that my brothers—Jimin, who is the same age as Taehyung, and Jungkook, who is two years younger than them—were best friends, almost like brothers. My brothers had also seen his face, but that was long before. But after the betrayal, they were raised to hate each other. I wasn't born then.

"I wonder, if you are a secret, then why are you sitting here and telling me your real identity?" He said clearly, not wanting to continue the blame game right now. I smile internally as he figures it out, and there is no need to explain it to him. I should admit that he is less frustrating than other guys; I don't need to explain everything to him. However, I said I should; that doesn't mean I ever will.

I sighed. "That is because I am going to be revealed soon anyway..." I said I was unbothered by the fact.

He stared at me for a minute again and spoke, "So, my enemy's sister is sitting right in front of me?" He said it like he got an idea or something.

"Yeah, but not for long," I said as I got up from the floor, his gaze travelling with me.

"You are going?" He said, his voice having a slight tone of either a mock or a tease.

"Obviously," I said as I looked around for something.

I turn my back on him as I find the keys to his car, from which we came here. "And you think you can go, Princess?" He said in a mocking and teasing tone.

I cringe at the nickname. "Yes," I said firmly as I picked up the keys and turned around. "And don't you dare to call me that," I said in a tone that has a thread in it.

"What makes you think you can just go from my mansion without my permission, Princess?" He said, his voice as dark as his gaze was on me, ignoring my thread just like that.

"Maybe the fact that I helped you even though I should have killed you would be a right reason to let me go quietly," I said, mocking him.

"You think you could kill me? Princess, I am more dangerous than you can think," he said, now standing up, ignoring his wounded state.

My patience is wearing thin with the continued mention of that stupid nickname. "If I don't kill, I could make you more injured than you are right now," I said, my voice tone matching his like in a conflict.

He took steps closer to me and scoffed."I doubt that."

"I believe that," I replied sharply. He stopped at some distance and stared at me without any emotion, maybe just thinking. After a minute, I said again, "I am leaving, and—I am taking this with me," I said, holding the key ring in my hand and shaking it a little. I turned my back on him but then paused, remembering something, and turned around again.

"This will stay between us," I said, my voice firm, like I am making a deal.

"What will stay between us?" he said.

"This all—if my brothers get to know about this—I will kill you," I said, threatening him.

"You will kill me when you are not 6 feet under the ground," he said with a smirk and a smile tugging on his face, which I hate so much now.

I sighed, knowing it's my turn to use the second card. "If you tell this, I will say that I saw your face. You must know how things will go then." I said as the smile was on my face this time, and he looked suddenly serious.

"You are making a deal with me?" He reframes.

"You can take it as that," I said simply with a shrug of my shoulders.

"I don't make deals with my enemies." He states, voice cold and gaze pinned on me.

"Fine," I said, shrugging my shoulders. "Your choice," I said in an unbothered tone, turning around.

"Stop." He said, voice sharp as a knife. I stopped and turned again to face him.

"Change of Mind?" I said with a smirk, to which he glared at me.

"Deal." He said after a minute.

"Deal," I replied with a smile that was not unkind. "Good night then..." I said as I turned around, playing with his car key's ring with my finger.

"See you soon then, princess." He said it like he was mocking me with his cold face.

I roll my eyes again at the nickname. "Hope not," I said before exiting the room and closing the door with a thud.

I walked out, my shoes making a slight sound on the floor. Nobody stops me even for a second as I exit the door of the mansion to his garage; they feel surprised. Maybe no one has walked out of their boss's room like this with his car keys swinging on her finger. I feel strangely satisfied.

I unlock the car and open the driver's side door, and get inside. I turned the engine on and smoothly drove the car out of the parking and then out of his mansion.

Taehyung's POV:

She walked out of my room and closed the door like it belonged to her. I scoffed at her confidence and pulled out my mobile and switched on the live cam.

I watched her walk out confidently, swaying my car key on her finger out of the mansion to the garage. She opened the door of the car and got inside, and effortlessly drove out of the mansion's main gate. Nobody stopped her, not even my guards, as I didn't order them.

After she left, I sat down on my bed, adjusting myself so that my injured side wouldn't hurt much. I looked at the bandage; she had done it quite well.

I pulled out my phone again and dialed a number to my man. He picked it up in no more than 1 ring.

"Sir?" He said, voice firm.

"The Parks have a daughter, and she is kept hidden from the mafia world. How come I don't know about this?" I asked, my voice demanding the answer to my question.

"Sir..." The man on the call suddenly sounds nervous because of my tone. "Sir, I don't know. We can't keep an eye on their mansion from inside," he replied nervously.

"Can't keep an eye? You had one work to do, yet you can't do it properly," I said, keeping my voice in a dangerously calm manner.

"Sorry, sir," the person replied quickly, knowing what their destiny is next.

"Don't apologize. I hate apologies. Instead, show your worth. Get me all the details about her in less than 4 hours. If you don't, you'd better know your destiny yourself." I said, my voice laced with threat and danger, as I shut my phone without hearing his reply.

I know I can't access their house, but something about not having control is making me feel odd.

All this time, Park has a daughter, and I don't know it? I have kept an eye on their activity for the past 5 years since I came on InCharge, but I don't know about their daughter.

"Fu*k it!" I growl loudly, throwing my phone on the bed.

They have clearly kept a lot of precautions to keep this secret... especially from me. They are not dumb; they know I have been keeping an eye on their work, just like they do, so they were taking more precautions.

However, if they are going to announce her presence soon, that means they are letting their princess out in the mafia world. A strange, cruel smile appeared on my face at the thought of it... Park will soon have less control over her security once she is out, and something about seeing that princess break is giving my heart peace and satisfaction.
