Chapter 6 - CHAPTER SIX. PACKED SCHEDULE...

Alvera had wanted to slap her again but she wasn't a fool, she held her hands stopping her from repeating her actions

"All you care about is fame and power and I am not interested in helping you get that"

"Let's leave now, Alvera" George urged

"Can you see what your daughter is becoming? Can you see she is growing wings? Can you see?"

"I know I know, let's just go" George finally succeeded in dragging Alvera out of Elena's office

Slumping down to her chair, she felt a slight pain in her head "What an early drama!"

Elena White never had a fight with her parents. Why? Because she had always followed whatever of their instructions like a puppet but not anymore.

A slight knock on her door and a lady dresses in burgundry short skirt and a cream long sleeved shirt walked in carrying with her a tablet.

"Good morning, Miss White" she smiled

Elena's eyes scanned the lady's face. This was Megan, Elena White's personal assistant

"Any problems, Megan?" She sat up, acting like a proper CEO

"Your schedules for today, ma'am" Elena gestured her hand for her to go on as she opened a file on her desk

Megan started, her voice calm as she held up the tablet

"At nine, the Paris video conference with Marc, he's threatening to walk out unless you personally address him. Eleven, final approval for the merger with the legal team. Lunch at one with Mrs. Caldwell and her investor. R&D product review at three. The charity board meeting ia at five" She hesitated for a fraction of second "They've... expressed concerns on you recent public disappearances"

Elena snapped the folder shut, her gaze cool "Very well of them" she smiled "And at seven, dinner with the Liam's group alongside the Black Empire's son"

Megan's brow lifted just slightly

'Black Empire's son?, Miss White never called him that ! what happened to 'my husband to be?' or 'Adrian' like she always called him'. Is the rumour of her breaking off the engagement really true?

She made the note "I must say, today is a bit packed"

Elena couldn't help but agree with her. But her life as a personal assistant was a bit harder and stressful. Her eyes drifted to the table clock on her desk before it widened

"This is ten minutes till nine and you are just reporting my schedule?" She was surprised. Back in her life, she would have done that even before eight or she was not having a good day with her manager

"Pardon me, ma'am, but I couldn't interrupt your discussions with your parents"

"Arghhh fine, bring me the recording of the last video conference with Marc" She really don't know what to do.

'Okay Elena, this is similar to your normal duty, and you've also read that book a million times' she consoled herself

???

Here she is, dressed in a short black gown, her long black hair was neatly curled to complement her light makeup. Her stilettos making a cleaking sound on the porcelain tiles as she walked towards the man clad in a dark grey suit with an inner black shirt. His usual cold eyes stared at her

"You are late"

Elena glanced at the gold watch on her wrist. Seriously?, this was just three minutes last seven.

"Are you going for the dinner or still planning on being too time conscious" She looked at him with the same cold eyes he was giving her

He walked out of the house to the Black car waiting outside. Elena too soon walked out joining him in the car

"Don't go about spewing nonsense tonight" She turned her head to him. Seems like she really didn't make herself clear the last time...
