Chapter 78 - Arbitrator Intervention

The waterfall's mist refracted into colorful light under the sun, yet it could not dispel the gloom that hung over Wakanda.

Erik stood at the highest point of the palace, overlooking this land that was both familiar and strange to him.

His first command had already been broadcast via holographic projection throughout the five major tribes—the armories were to be fully opened, and Vibranium weapons would be sent through secret channels to Wakandan spies around the World.

"Your Majesty," W'Kabi of the Border Tribe bowed nearby, "The first batch of weapons has already been sent through various channels to the Wakandan spies."

Erik's lips curled into a cold sneer: "Excellent. Let those oppressors taste the wrath of the Haji Black."

His second command—notify the Arbitrators for a meeting.

"Arrange the meeting," Erik said to W'Kabi beside him, "Tell them, the new King of Wakanda is willing to offer Wakanda's specialties."

Meanwhile, in the dense forest at the Wakandan border, three figures were making their way with difficulty.

Queen Monglaag's robe was torn by thorns, Su Rui's Kimoyo Beads constantly flickered with a faint signal, and Najia vigilantly scanned her surroundings, her Vibranium dagger ready to strike at any moment.

"Just a little further," Najia whispered, "After crossing this rainforest, we'll reach the evacuation point."

Su Rui suddenly stopped, staring intently at her Kimoyo Beads: "He's still alive! His heartbeat is faint, but stable!" Her voice trembled with excitement, "I knew my brother wouldn't…"

Queen Monglaag gripped her daughter's shoulder tightly: "What did he say? What did he say before falling off the cliff?"

She had also seen T'Challa's lips move before he fell.

"Contact Stark," Su Rui looked up, a spark of hope igniting in her eyes, "Brother said to contact Tony Stark. We must contact him."

Najia frowned: "That arms dealer? Is he trustworthy?"

"Not an arms dealer," Su Rui quickly operated her Kimoyo Beads, and a holographic projection displayed an encrypted message, "It's the Arbitrators."

Suddenly, the hum of machinery came from deep within the dense forest, and the three immediately concealed themselves.

A team of fully armed Border Tribe warriors rode past on hovering motorcycles, their chest emblems now replaced with Erik's new design.

"There's not much time left," Queen Monglaag took out a necklace embedded with a heart-shaped herb from her embrace, "Su Rui, you take this. If… if we get separated…"

"No, Mother." Su Rui firmly held her hand, "We'll find T'Challa together, and go home together."

Najia suddenly raised a finger: "Shh—"

On a distant treetop, a mechanical bird was rotating its crimson eyes.

Just as it was about to sound the alarm, Najia's dagger precisely shattered it.

"Go!" She pulled the two, "Erik's eyes are more numerous than we imagined!"

Arbitrator Tower

"Chen Tian! Chen Tian! Wake up! I know you're in there!" Tony knocked forcefully on Chen Tian's door.

Chen Tian groggily opened his eyes, glanced at the virtual alarm clock by his bedside, 7:43, he sighed speechlessly, got out of bed, shirtless, wearing only pajama pants, and opened the door.

"Tony, if you don't give me a good reason, I'll tear down your room." Chen Tian yawned, picked up his pajamas from the sofa, and put them on.

"Wakanda sent us a communication, hoping to have a meeting with us!" Tony was a little excited; he could finally enter Wakanda and understand the technology Wakanda had invented based on Vibranium.

Chen Tian raised an eyebrow, "Wakanda? In whose name? T'Challa?"

Tony was startled, shook his head: "No, the current King of Wakanda is Erik."

Chen Tian frowned, "Erik Stevens? How could it be him?"

Chen Tian was very surprised; it was too early, Erik's matter should only come after T'Challa had taken over Wakanda for some time.

Tony was now eager to understand Wakandan technology and didn't care who requested the meeting. Upon hearing Chen Tian's repeated words, his expression also froze.

"Yeah, how could it be him? Shouldn't it be T'Challa?"

Saying that, he slapped his thigh, "Then my previous role as a social butterfly was for nothing?!"

Chen Tian's frown deepened. He suddenly turned and walked towards the holographic control console in the center of the room, his fingers rapidly sliding through the air. "Tony, this isn't about whether being a social butterfly was for nothing or not!" His voice, uncharacteristically, carried a hint of gravity.

As he moved, the entire room suddenly lit up with blue holographic projections, and a giant global map unfolded before the two of them.

Chen Tian looked up and shouted at the ceiling: "Friday, immediately retrieve global black market weapon transaction data, focusing on Vibranium-related transactions."

"Analyzing, Mr. Chen." Friday's female voice sounded, "Within the past 72 hours, abnormally active Vibranium weapons have appeared in the global black market. High-purity Vibranium weapons have appeared in various regions."

Tony gasped: "This isn't right. Wakanda has always strictly controlled Vibranium outflow, and T'Challa certainly wouldn't…"

"So now it's Erik inviting us." Chen Tian's voice was as cold as ice, "Friday, find out who has these Vibranium weapons?"

Friday's holographic projection quickly reorganized, displaying a real-time dynamic map of the Africa continent.

Countless red dots flickered everywhere, mainly concentrated in areas like South Africa and Zimbabwe.

"Data shows," Friday's voice carried the calmness unique to machines, "88% of Vibranium weapons have flowed to Black armed organizations across Africa. Within the past 24 hours, six countries with White regimes have been overthrown, and over 200 businesses operated by White people have been looted."

Tony's face became extremely tense: "This is impossible… Wakanda has always pursued a policy of isolation…"

"That's precisely the problem." Chen Tian's fingers rapidly slid across the holographic map, zooming in on several of the most intense conflict zones, "None of these countries have joined the global defense system. Erik has clearly carefully chosen his targets."

Chen Tian stroked his chin, "I once said that I liked Erik because of his desire for revenge, avenging his father, there's nothing wrong with that. But years of fighting in battlefields have made his personality extreme and tyrannical. He intends to overthrow the World's political regimes and let the Haji Black rule the World."

"This is the consequence of his ascension to power."

"Then we should go to Wakanda immediately! Stop Erik from continuing to harm the World!" Tony was anxious.

"No, we have no right to interfere in the policies of other countries, and furthermore, we have no evidence to prove that these Vibranium weapons originated from Wakanda." Chen Tian shook his head.

"Then we just watch them fight to the Death? Many civilians are losing their lives in the war!" Tony shouted.

"Of course not," Chen Tian said, then ordered Jarvis, "Jarvis, you heard it, the Arbitrators' rescue robots are to be dispatched, and a safe zone is to be established outside the war zone, clearly stating the Arbitrators' identity, and warning warlords attempting to incite war that they will suffer indiscriminate strikes from the Arbitrators."

Jarvis's voice sounded, "Received your command, Mr. Chen, rescue robots will depart from allied nations and head to Africa in 30 minutes."

"Very good, Friday, monitor all communications worldwide. If anyone contacts the Arbitrators, immediately filter and identify Princess Su Rui's voice print. Once confirmed, connect her immediately." Chen Tian ordered again.

"Received, Mr. Chen." Friday's voice replaced Jarvis's.

Tony frowned, looking at Chen Tian, "You mean, we wait for Su Rui's message? And then depart for Wakanda?"

Chen Tian nodded, "You've seen the consequences of Erik's rule. We need a proper reason to help T'Challa reclaim the throne."

Tony paced back and forth, "How long will it take? The war can't wait!"

"Soon."

Wakanda · Jabari Tribe · Deep in the Snow Region

The cold wind howled, and the snow-covered mountains glowed with a faint blue cold light under the moonlight.

Najia walked in front, every step cautious, her dagger already shining with frost, but her grip on the knife remained as steady as a rock.

"Further ahead is the territory of the Jabari Tribe." She turned back and whispered, her exhaled white breath condensing into frost in the air.

Queen Monglaag's robe was long soaked by the wind and snow, but she still held her back straight, her gaze firm.

Su Rui followed closely, the faint blue light of her Kimoyo Beads particularly noticeable in the snowy night.

"They won't easily accept us." Queen Monglaag whispered, "Especially now that Erik has declared himself King of Wakanda."

"But M'Baku isn't a fool." Najia narrowed her eyes, looking towards the towering ice wall in the distance, "He knows better than anyone what Erik's rule means."

Suddenly, a subtle tremor came from the snow.

Najia sharply raised her hand to signal a stop, and the three held their breath.

"Swish—"

Several short spears flew through the air, precisely embedding themselves in the ground before their feet.

"Stop!" A deep voice came from above.

Looking up, several Jabari warriors stood on the ice wall, clad in heavy animal hides, holding long spears, their eyes vigilant.

"We are here to seek asylum," Najia responded loudly, slowly raising her hands to signal she meant no harm.

"State your names!" the leading warrior demanded coldly.

Queen Monglaag took a deep breath and stepped forward, "I am Monglaag, Queen of Wakanda."

The warriors on the ice wall visibly paused, whispering among themselves.

Soon, the heavy ice gate slowly opened, and several warriors descended the steps, their gaze sweeping back and forth over the three.

"Follow me," the leading warrior finally said, his tone still cold but with a slight reduction in hostility.

— — — — — —

Inside the Jabari Tribe's hall, braziers burned brightly, dispelling the biting cold.

M'Baku sat on a high seat, his thick arms resting on the armrests, his eyes deep and complex.

"So," his low voice echoed through the hall, "you mean Erik has betrayed Wakanda?"

"Not only that," Su Rui stepped forward, her Kimoyo beads projecting a holographic image showing conflict hotspots around the World, "He is exporting Vibranium weapons to the outside World, instigating war."

M'Baku's brows furrowed deeply.

In the image, riots erupted, flames soared, and countless civilians wailed in the midst of war.

"This violates the ancestral teachings of Wakanda," Queen Monglaag said in a deep voice, "We never interfere with the outside World, much less become instigators of war."

M'Baku remained silent for a long time, his fingers gently tapping the armrest, seemingly weighing the pros and cons.

"What do you want me to do?" he finally spoke.

"Help us find T'Challa," Su Rui's voice held a plea, "He is still alive, I can feel it.

But we need the strength of the Jabari to search in the snow-covered region."

M'Baku's gaze swept across their faces, finally resting on Queen Monglaag.

"You know, if I help you, it means becoming enemies with Erik."

"You know better than anyone what Erik's rule will bring," Najia said coldly, "He will not tolerate any dissenters, including the Jabari."

M'Baku slowly stood up, his tall figure casting a huge Shadow in the firelight.

"Good," he finally nodded, "I will send people to search for T'Challa."

A glimmer of joy flashed in Su Rui's eyes, but M'Baku immediately added:

"But I have one condition."

"What condition?" Queen Monglaag asked cautiously.

M'Baku's gaze sharpened, "If T'Challa is still alive, he must prove himself worthy of the throne."

"What do you mean?" Najia frowned.

"It means," M'Baku's voice was low and firm, "If he cannot even defend his own kingdom, then what Wakanda needs, perhaps, is a stronger leader."

Queen Monglaag's eyes instantly sharpened, but Su Rui gently pressed her mother's hand and nodded slightly.

"We accept," she said.

M'Baku nodded in satisfaction, then waved to his subordinates, "Take them to rest, and at the same time, send out the snow hounds to search every inch of land downstream of the Thunder Falls."

Su Rui hesitated for a moment, then added, "There's one more thing… we need to use your communication facilities."

M'Baku raised an eyebrow, "Isn't Wakanda's technology more advanced?"

"Erik must be monitoring all official channels," Su Rui explained, "We need a communication method he cannot track."

M'Baku pondered for a moment, then finally nodded, "Very well.

But remember, you owe the Jabari a favor."

— — — — — —

Late at night, in the Jabari Tribe's communication room, Su Rui quickly operated the ancient Vibranium communication device.

Although this primitive communication method was backward, it was precisely because of this that Erik's anti-reconnaissance system could not track it.

"The signal has been sent," she whispered, her eyes gleaming with hope, "Now, we can only wait for a response."

Queen Monglaag stood by the window, looking at the distant continuous snow-capped mountains, and murmured softly:

"T'Challa… you must be alive…"

Arbitrator Tower · War Room

Chen Tian leaned lazily on the leather sofa, holding a can of iced cola, slowly drinking it.

Tony Stark paced back and forth in the room, already fully armored, his metal boots tapping a rapid rhythm on the floor, muttering incessantly, "Why is there still no news?

How long has it been?"

Natasha leaned beside Chen Tian, her long legs crossed, playing with a shiny silver dagger, casually filing her nails.

She looked up and glanced at the anxious Tony, a playful smile on her lips, "Tony, if you keep pacing like that, you'll wear a hole in the floor."

Dr. Banner sat in an armchair in the corner, holding a thick book on quantum physics, his gaze focused behind his glasses.

He replied without looking up, "Friday is monitoring global communications; if there's any news, she'll notify us immediately."

Just then, the holographic projection in the center of the War Room suddenly lit up, and Friday's mechanical female voice sounded, "Gentlemen, ladies, I just received an encrypted communication, voiceprint matched and confirmed—from Princess Su Rui of Wakanda."

Everyone's movements instantly froze.

Tony stopped abruptly, his eyes shining, "Finally!"

Chen Tian put down the cola can, a smile playing on his lips, "Let's hear it."

The holographic projection switched, and Su Rui's image appeared, her voice tinged with fatigue and urgency, "Arbitrators, this is Su Rui of Wakanda.

I am contacting you at T'Challa's request.

My mother, Najia, and I are currently seeking asylum with the Jabari Tribe.

Erik has taken control of Wakanda and is exporting Vibranium weapons globally, instigating war.

T'Challa is still alive, but we urgently need your help."

The image flickered, then displayed a set of coordinates—the precise location of the Jabari Tribe.

Chen Tian chuckled, stood up from the sofa, and stretched, "Alright, guys, we've got work to do."

Tony immediately rubbed his hands together, "Finally, we can get moving!"

Banner closed his book and pushed up his glasses, "Do I need to transform?"

Natasha put away her dagger, stood up, and stretched her wrists, "Looks like we need to prepare some 'welcome gifts'."

Chen Tian looked around at everyone and quickly assigned tasks, "Tony, you, Banner, and Pietro go pick up Su Rui and the others.

Use the 'deathwing' jet, be discreet, don't let Erik's people discover you."

Tony raised an eyebrow, "Discreet? You want me to be discreet?"

Chen Tian shrugged, "Or you could try flying over in your armor, swaggering, and then get shot full of holes by Wakanda's anti-aircraft cannons."

Tony pouted, "Fine, discreet it is."

Banner nodded, "I'll make sure Pietro doesn't run too fast and cause trouble."

Chen Tian turned to Natasha and the silent 2B standing beside her, "As for the three of us—representing the Arbitrators, we'll go have a 'friendly meeting' with Erik."

Natasha's red lips curved slightly, a hint of cunning in her eyes, "So, we're going to put on a show and stall him?"

"Exactly," Chen Tian snapped his fingers, "Let him think we're interested in his 'Vibranium diplomacy' to buy Tony and the others time."

2B nodded slightly, "Understood."

Chen Tian clapped his hands, "Alright, operation begins.

Tony, you leave immediately.

We'll depart for Wakanda in half an hour."

Tony grinned, waving to Banner and Pietro, who had just run in, "Let's go, science team plus speedster, to rescue the princess and prince!"

Pietro was excited, "Finally, I don't have to sit around!"

Banner sighed helplessly, but still followed along.

After the War Room door closed, Natasha looked at Chen Tian and said softly, "Do you think Erik will believe us?"

Chen Tian smiled, his eyes deep, "He certainly won't fully believe us, but he will definitely want to use the Arbitrators' influence.

And we—" He paused, "—just need to make him feel like he has a chance."

Natasha chuckled, "Cunning."

Chen Tian shrugged, "That's called strategy."

2B silently checked her weapons beside them.

Chen Tian looked at her and smiled, "Ready, 2B?

This is a 'diplomatic performance' this time."

2B nodded faintly, "Master, everything is as you wish."

Chen Tian laughed loudly, "Ha~ 2B still loves me the most."

Suddenly, he turned to Natasha, "Where's Steve?"

Natasha shrugged, "He's moved to the Washington District now, and he's met a Haji Black named Sam.

They're hitting it off."

Chen Tian shook his head helplessly, "Ask him if he wants to come to Wakanda with us.

After all, Captain America's reputation precedes him; he's a very good 'diplomatic calling card'."

Natasha nodded, "I'll contact him now."

Chen Tian took one last look at Su Rui's coordinates on the holographic projection, his gaze slightly heavy.

"T'Challa, don't you dare die…"
