Chapter 130 - Bai Ye: The Great War Officially Begins

Smiling faintly as he watched Taban's departing figure, Bai Ye's gaze returned to the few people remaining in front of him.

"Why?" he asked softly, eyes glinting. "Why must you force me? I've already given up ruling over you. Are you really so tired of living?"

As he spoke, Bai Ye placed his right hand on the wooden podium and tapped lightly. Under everyone's eyes, a ripple of violet inner energy surged — and he lifted from it a perfectly cut twelve-sided die.

He looked toward the spokesman and handed it over with a calm smile. "Here, you roll it. Carefully now — this throw will decide the fate of this planet."

The spokesman lowered his eyes. Each face of the die was inscribed with a single English word:

capitalism, feudalism, fascism, nationalism, democracy, anarchism, conservatism, religionism…

Trying to keep his composure, the spokesman asked, "What… is this?"

"This," Bai Ye replied gently, "is the system I'll use to govern this planet beneath our feet. Whatever you roll — that's the one I'll adopt."

"Our planet's political system?" The spokesman's voice trembled with disbelief.

The others stared at Bai Ye, stunned. Was he insane? To think he alone could stand against the armed might of an entire world — pure delusion.

"That's right," Bai Ye said, smiling faintly. "From today on, I will permanently change this planet."

Facing the live broadcast, his expression remained calm as he declared:

"From this very second, I announce — the First Planetary War officially begins."

"I, alone, declare war on America!"

"War on Britain!"

"War on France!"

As the names rolled off his tongue, those watching — both on-site and through countless screens around the world — felt a storm of emotions: disdain, scorn, disbelief, fury.

Bai Ye spread his arms and said, "Come then. Let me, by myself, face your entire world. Bring your planes, your cannons, your tanks — your hydrogen bombs, your missiles, your nuclear weapons. Bring them all."

"As long as you refuse my terms — refuse my rule — I will keep fighting."

"I'll fight until you surrender. It starts here. As for this planet's new system — it'll be decided by the die in his hand."

By now, Bai Ye's actions had drawn the world's attention. Millions were glued to their televisions and computers, watching every move.

In the White House, President Ellis was pale. "Is he insane? Waging war against the entire world?"

In France, the Premier blinked, then let out a disbelieving laugh. "Ah, youth. A little power and they think they're gods."

In Britain, the Prime Minister shook his head with a faint smile. "Still too young…"

Bai Ye turned to the spokesman once more. "Go on, roll it. The destiny of the world is in your hands now. Your name will live as long as this planet's history."

Under Bai Ye's unblinking gaze, the spokesman's hands trembled. Then, clenching his teeth, he threw the die.

It spun rapidly, clicked twice against the floor, and came to a stop.

Kneeling slightly, Bai Ye picked it up between two fingers and smiled. "Not bad. You rolled democracy. Quite the auspicious choice."

"Then — in the spirit of democracy — I propose to destroy this place. Does anyone agree?" he asked, raising his right hand.

"I object!"

"I disagree!"

"Of course not!"

Shouts erupted all around him — not one voice in favor.

"Alright then," Bai Ye said lightly. "The vote stands at one in favor, seventy-eight against."

He smiled. "However, as the future Emperor of Earth, I hold veto power. In the name of democracy — I veto your opposition."

Before anyone could react, his right fist struck out. The force erupted instantly, shaking the Empire State Building to its core.

Boom!

Terror froze on every face.

A blinding white shockwave burst upward, piercing straight through the skyscraper from base to spire.

The Empire State Building — 381 meters tall, 102 stories high, a monument of steel and concrete meant to last decades — didn't withstand even a single second. It exploded outright.

Debris and dust filled the air, raining destruction across the city.

Outside, the building was already surrounded by swarms of news helicopters and reporters. Cameras and broadcast lenses captured every instant in perfect detail.

Around the world, billions stared in disbelief.

"Did you see that? One punch — he blew the whole building apart! That's impossible!"

"No human could do that! It must've been explosives — it had to be!"

"A charlatan. No one can fight the whole world alone!"

In the Utopia enclave, Magneto watched, his blood surging, feeling decades younger.

"Finally! A real fight against humanity!" he said, eyes blazing. For him, whoever struck at humankind was an ally.

Professor X sighed beside him. Having seen Bai Ye battle the omniscient being himself, he had no doubt about the man's destructive power.

"But this… this is too extreme," Xavier murmured.

He turned — and found Magneto watching him with cold, dangerous eyes.

"This is the perfect chance for mutant resurgence," Magneto said icily. "Don't you dare hesitate. If you try to stop this, I won't hold back."

The surrounding mutants exchanged uneasy looks, unsure what to say.

Even the students of Xavier's School, bound by loyalty to their kind, tried to persuade their professor not to interfere.

"When did I say I'd stop him?" Xavier sighed, helpless in his wheelchair. "Even if I wanted to — could I?"

Meanwhile, Bai Ye appeared suddenly before a live broadcast camera. Speaking evenly into the lens, he announced:

"In sixty minutes, I'll arrive at the White House. In the meantime, use every weapon you have."

"When I get there — if America still refuses to surrender — the White House will end up just like this."

He patted the trembling reporter's shoulder lightly, then shot off toward Washington at a speed of hundreds of meters per second.

At that pace, he would reach the White House in about an hour.

The First World War lasted four years. The Second, six. Bai Ye had no intention of wasting that kind of time.

He planned to end this war within three days — and establish dominion over the entire planet.

And if, within those three days, he couldn't conquer the world?

Then he'd call a truce for now — and begin the Second Planetary War a few years later.
