Chapter 2 - The naming ceremony

Chapter 2

The queen's expression remains stern,

"I have chosen the name 'Malakar', it is a name that reflects our realm's strength and legacy. The ceremony will take place during the harvest festival, and it will be attended by our nobles and guests, including the dwarven ambassador."

Lyrien adds,

"The name 'Malakar' has historical significance. It was the name of our realm's founder, a great warrior and leader."

The queen's guard, Thalion, steps forward, "Your Majesty, the guests are arriving. Shall I escort them to the grand hall?"

The queen's voice stops Jaron,

"You will not bother the prince now. He needs rest. Elara will tend to him, and jaron will attend to our guests."

Elara steps forward,

"I will make sure the prince is prepared for the ceremony, Your Majesty."

The prince's voice calls out from behind the curtain,

"Father, wait."

The curtain opens, and the prince looks up at him with a serious expression,

"I had another dream, Father, the figure in black said,

"The name Malakar is a curse.""

Elara steps forward,

"The prince has been having many dreams, I have written them down, but I do not know what they mean."

Jaron remembers when Elara

She handed him a small book and said:

"I have recorded every detail. Maybe you can find some clue."

The book contains entries about the prince's dreams, including descriptions of a dark forest, a figure in black, and a name,

"Malakar"

, scratched out. The queen's voice interrupts,

"Enough, Jaron, you will not investigate this further. It is just a child's fantasy."

Thalion steps forward,

"The guests are waiting, Your Majesty, shall I escort them to the grand hall?"

The prince's voice calls out,

"Father, do not let them give me that name."

The queen's expression does not change,

"I will not change the name. It is decided. The prince will be named Malakar,

and that is final."

Lyrien speaks up,

"The name has been chosen for a reason. It is a name of power and strength."

The queen continues,

"I do not care about the prince's dreams. They are just the fantasies of a child."

Thalion steps forward,

"The guests are waiting. We must attend to them."

Elara whispers, "Be careful, Jaron. The queen will not be swayed easily."

The queen's guard takes a step closer to Jaron, his hand on the hilt of his sword.

The queen's guard, Thalion, stands tall, his eyes fixed on Jaron, his hand still on the hilt of his sword. Lyrien speaks up,

"Thalion has been the queen's guard for many years. He is loyal only to her."

Elara adds,

"He is a skilled warrior and will stop at nothing to protect the queen."

The queen says,

"Enough, Thalion, escort Jaron to the grand hall. It is time for the ceremony to begin."

Thalion nods and steps forward, his eyes never leaving yours, his hand still on the hilt of his sword, keys to the castle door in hand on Jaron's hand, a small dagger is visible in Jaron's shoe . Jaron searches for a sword for self defense, he wore leather armor.

Thalion draws his sword, its blade shining in the light, and assumes a defensive stance, his eyes locked on hiss. The queen's voice rings out,

"Guards, restrain him."

More guards rush into the room, armed with swords and shields, surrounding you. Lyrien says,

"You will not disrupt the ceremony, Jaron."

Elara tries to intervene,

"Wait, do not harm him."

The guards close in, their swords at the ready, shields beside them, swords on the go , some with leather armor and some with steel armor.

Jaron notices the grand hall's large windows, the long tables, and the candelabras. Jaron uses the tables to create distance between himself and the guards, and he knocks over a candelabra, causing the candles to fall to the floor, flames spreading to the nearby curtains. The guards momentarily hesitate, distracted by the sudden fire. Thalion yells,

"Extinguish the flames. We can not let the hall burn." The queen's voice rings out,

"Seize him, do not let him escape."

The guards regroup, shields, swords, buckets of water, fire extinguishing tools.

Jaron charge at the guards, sword clashing with theirs, shields blocking his blows. Thalion joins the fight, his sword slicing through the air, aiming for his chest. The guards form a semi-circle around him, trapping him. He parried

a blow from one guard, but another guard strikes him from the side, his armor absorbing some of the impact. The queen yells, "Take him alive, do not kill him." The guards: 5 guards, Thalion, Lyrien, queen's advisor, queen's guard chase Jaron. castle guards are in chaos, and everything is a mess . " Why are you leaving me, Malakar."

The strange figure with tears sobbing Said :

"I thought you were my friend. Please stay Malakar. Please stay , I'll kill anyone who takes you away . I hate your father. I'll kill him . "

The queen telepathically talked to Elara. The queen said,

" Hey Niece , I hope this isn't your or your father's plan."

Elara responded with a smirk on her face

" I wouldn't dare aunt or should I shay your master?, besides, I'm just a wager that was made regardless of my emotions. "

The queen, with a calm and cold voice, said,

" I know your feelings towards my husband. Whatever you've planned shouldn't mess up my and your fathers goal. "

Elara Mocking asked

" When did he become your husband?,

Wasn't he a tool you could throw away anytime?

Or have you caught feelings, your Majesty?."

The queen stayed quiet and tried to seem calm . Meanwhile, inside, she had a storm brewing inside her . She knew that the matter could be handled easily with her power. It's just that she couldn't do anything because her enemies could use this as an advantage.
