Just then, there was a knock at the door, and his irritation vanished, replaced by a bright smile. "She's here!"
He rose quickly and hurried to the door, which slid open to reveal Willow standing there with a food bag in her hands.
"Hello."
The sight of Evren was blinding like staring directly at the sun and Willow couldn't help the shy smile that spread across her lips as she held up the food bag.
"You look fine," she said, stepping inside as the door closed automatically behind her.
"I am fine," he replied with a bright grin, sitting back down.
Willow joined him on the couch, setting the food bag on the table. "Is your leg okay?" she asked, her voice heavy with genuine concern.
"I'm perfectly healed, don't worry." He tapped his leg to prove it.
Willow handed him the food bag. "Eat up. It's all for you. I've already had dinner."
Evren unpacked the food, arranging it neatly on the table before digging in, clearly grateful. The aroma alone felt like a blessing.
