Professor Ismere's office was clean and sleek. Everything from the white walls to the glass desk gleamed with finesse. Willow couldn't help but feel nervous as she sat there watching the woman type on her computer for what felt like forever before finally lifting her gaze to meet hers.
"Have a seat, Sterling," Ismere instructed, gesturing to the chair in front of her desk.
Willow hesitated, dragging her feet before pulling out the chair and sitting down slowly.
Just as the professor returned to typing, Willow blurted out, "Am I in trouble, ma'am? Is this about me coming to class late? I'm really sorry.. I went to visit a friend who got injured at the infirmary and lost track of time."
Professor Ismere looked up in surprise before letting out a small laugh that caught Willow completely off guard.
"What are you talking about? I already reprimanded you for coming late. This is different."
"Oh." Willow shifted uncomfortably in her seat, feeling foolish. "Then… what is it about?"
