The next morning, Willow and Indigo woke up early to resume their mission, searching through several houses while still trying to connect with their teammates via the earpiece.
"I still can't reach the others," Indigo grumbled as she jumped over a fence into a house compound.
"The radiation is messing with the signals," Willow said with a gasp, nearly slipping off the fence as she clutched her bag tightly.
"Well… I just hope they don't stumble across a disgusting Hollowed," Indigo snorted, pulling out the geographical scanner.
The device blinked with dozens of red dots, revealing that plenty of students were still alive in the town. It was a relief but also a reminder that it wouldn't help them locate Dregs outside of Nexus academy since only the students' suits carried trackers. The Dregs they were meant to rescue had none which made it hard to find and rescue them.
Willow rolled her eyes with a laugh and checked the ETI rad meter again. It was still stuck at 92%.
