"Enough," Axel said icily. "Release me."
The woman stubbornly shook her head, desperately. "Please… I'm begging you."
Axel inhaled slowly, visibly restraining his temper.
"Three minutes," he said flatly. "You have three minutes. Speak."
The woman hesitated, then finally loosened her grip and stepped back two steps, her legs visibly unsteady. She looked up at him, tears spilling freely now, her fear and desperation laid bare.
Liam positioned himself slightly in front of Axel, his posture tense, eyes locked on the woman.
Axel glanced at his watch. "Two minutes," he corrected coldly. "Speak now, or you don't have any—"
"I have a son with you."
The words struck like lightning in clear daylight.
For a brief moment, the world seemed to still.
Axel's gaze hardened instantly. His expression didn't change, but something dangerous settled behind his eyes.
Liam stiffened beside him, shock flashing across his usually composed face.
