"How do you feel being here again?" Lyra asked, her body pressed next to mine while she absentmindedly picked on the rhinestones adorning the blue ball gown she wore.
Give it to her for always coming up with stupid questions, but then, she had successfully broken the tension that'd been gradually building inside me the moment I stepped into this damned hall.

"Can you stop talking?" I grunted, unable to hide the irritation in my voice. I scowled down at her, adjusting my tie, as my throat began to constrict.
