Chapter 78 - Chapter 143-144 – Evidence – 1

As you know the patreon was banned and the source of income was cut off. So there was delay.

I will probably open the new patreon and post the chapters there but it will take some time. I will post some chapters in web novel but it will be slow update but there will be update nevertheless.

In the mean while I have written the original work called The Dominating Master. Please support the work. I hope it will give me some money so that I could do this translated work without fearing problem.

P.S. The webnovel and other blocked work. I will post patreon exclusive with arts and collection in discord in few days for free.

Chapter 143-144 – Evidence – 1

[MC POV]

It had been a few days since Haruka found out about my relationship with Miharu. During that time, my mood hadn't been great.

There were two reasons for that. The first was Haruka's parting words:

[I'll call you later when I've calmed down…]

Those words kept bothering me.

And the second reason was…

[Status]

[Haru]

[Corruption: 15%]

[Lust: 0%]

[Development Area▼]

[Capture Progress: 45%]

[Salvation Progress: 39%]

[Scenario Progress: 38%]

Haru's salvation level had dropped sharply, and her corruption level had even increased a little.

I stared at the glowing screen in front of me for a while before turning it off and letting out a deep sigh.

"Haa…"

I had known things were going too smoothly. My luck was bound to run out sooner or later. Because of that, I had been feeling down for a while. But eventually, I forced myself to shake it off.

'Let's not be too disappointed. That salvation level was something I got by pure chance anyway.'

Even as I thought that, I still couldn't help but feel it was such a waste.

After calming down, I rested my chin on my hand and thought quietly.

"Then, should I try using the second tip now…"

It seemed like it was finally time to put the second tip to use.

[TIP 2: Searching the villain's office might reveal some good items?]

[POV Change]

It was late in the evening at college. Most of the students who weren't part of any clubs had already gone home.

Only the track and field club remained active, still buzzing with energy. Because—

"Oh my, junior~ Your grades are much lower than last time… what happened?"

"Huu… I'm just pacing myself these days."

"Hmm~ It doesn't look like it~"

"Ha, since when did you start acting like a senior? Mind your own business."

Haru and an unnamed second-year senior were in the middle of a fierce power struggle. Because of that, the club's atmosphere had turned into complete chaos. Like shrimp caught between fighting whales, the other students' grades were fluctuating wildly.

In a situation like this, a coach should have stepped in to calm things down, but—

"Haha, boys grow up fighting."

Kumoto had no intention of stopping them. In fact, he seemed to welcome the conflict. After all, no matter how things turned out, he was the one who stood to gain the most from their fight.

Aside from that, he quietly analyzed how things were likely to unfold.

'Looking at their current state, the second-years will win. Even if Haru is a prodigy, the difference in experience and grade can't be ignored.'

With that thought in mind, Kumoto smirked slyly when no one was looking.

'She probably won't last long like this. The pressure from the second-year seniors will be harsher than she expects.'

He was certain of it because he had experienced similar situations before. Haru would either surrender soon or have her mental strength shattered.

'I just need to wait for that moment.'

'Either way, there is nothing for me to lose.'

Thinking that, Kumoto quietly returned to his office.

Meanwhile, Haru sat alone on a bench near the college field while letting out a deep sigh.

"Haa…"

She had felt a little better a few days ago, but lately, nothing seemed to be going right.

The seniors had started belittling her again during the new member selection, her relationship with her childhood friend had become awkward, and even the coach's leering gaze had grown more blatant. Because of all that, she had been under constant stress.

"Huu… I still have to keep going."

Fortunately, she didn't lose her temper like before.

Instead, she forced herself to stay calm.

And the reason she was able to do that was because of the boy she had met before. His words had stayed with her, giving her just enough strength to hold herself together.

Having collected herself, she was about to get up and resume training when—

"Take a little more rest before you go."

"Huh?"

Suddenly, a voice spoke from beside her, but there was clearly no one around.

Haru was startled by the strange situation. She looked around, but there was nothing to be seen.

'There's definitely no one here…?'

Her heart pounded for a moment, but the fear quickly faded as the strangeness of the moment began to settle.

"I'm here. Haru."

"Oh, you are?"

"It's been a while."

Haru suddenly felt a strange sensation on her hand. Looking down, she saw the boy she had met before.

The moment she saw him, she greeted him happily.

She felt a strong sense of closeness with him, probably because he had listened to her worries and encouraged her before.

Someone else might have entered the college—but that wasn't unusual.

After all, this was originally a sports-focused high school, and outsiders often came to watch. So it was natural for her to approach him and talk so freely.

"Wow. It's been a while. Oh, by the way, what's your name…?"

Haru realized she had forgotten to introduce herself.

Takuya answered casually, as if it were no big deal.

"My name is Mori Takuya."

"Ah. Okay, Takuya."

Haru's expression brightened noticeably as she replied.

"What brings you here? A college tour?"

Takuya shook his head.

He wasn't here for a tour.

Seeing his denial, Haru tilted her head in curiosity.

"Then why are you here?"

"Ah, I came to see my sister, so I was just going to watch her exercise."

"Really?!"

Haru chuckled at his words.

Takuya wondered why she seemed so happy.

Her answer made it clear in just one sentence.

"That Hiro guy is too lazy to come even once…"

It was because of Hiro, who was always so unreliable.

'Oh, it's you again, Hiro.' Takuya thought, letting out a small sigh at the mention of his name.

[MC POV]

As soon as I heard Haru's words, I smacked my forehead and groaned. It made sense, considering all the bad things I had heard about Hiro so far.

No, honestly, it might not have mattered if she were just an ordinary girl. But he acted that way even toward someone he supposedly liked.

'No. Is Hiro really someone who likes Haru?'

It wasn't strange that such thoughts crossed my mind.

And on top of that,

'Is it really okay to connect them?'

That thought lingered too. But these doubts were only temporary.

'Huu, it's an important mission with a reward. I should just focus on connecting them.'

I reminded myself of that, forcing my mind back into focus. Since I had already pressed the selection button, there was no turning back.

Anyway, while my thoughts drifted elsewhere, Haru—who was right next to me—started chattering.

"Hey, Takuya. Are you listening?"

The problem was, I wasn't really listening.

"Haha. I was just spacing out for a bit."

Haru made a slightly sulky face at my words.

I scratched my head and laughed at her expression.

After that, we talked for a little while longer, and then Haru went back to exercising.

As she returned to her training, I put on my coat, erased my presence, and wandered around the area.

'Why was I wandering?'

My original plan had been to ask Haru where the physical education coach's office was, but I had forgotten. Now I had to find it myself.

'Come to think of it, I've seen the villain a few times, but I've never actually been to his office.'

After wandering for a while, I finally reached a door that stood noticeably larger than the others. A big sign read "Track and Field Club," so I guessed this had to be the office.

It looked ridiculously spacious for a single person's use, which confirmed my suspicion. I remembered it from before, and the sign made it obvious.

Standing in front of the door, I hesitated. This was probably the time the villain—the physical education coach—would be inside. I tried to figure out how to get in without being noticed.

Couldn't I just walk in and hypnotize him? I had thought of that, of course. But to cut to the chase, it was impossible.

The screen had already warned me: [Hypnosis will not work on the villain of the scenario until the scenario is over.]

I had actually tried it a few times before and had nearly been caught. Hypnosis was off the table.

While I was thinking about what to do, the door creaked open. Kumoto, the physical education coach and the story's villain, stepped out. He was on the phone.

"Yes, yes, Chairman. Oh, I'm glad to speak with you after so long…"

Hearing him say "chairman" made my eyes widen as I hid in the corner. If my memory served me right, that chairman was the one who had used Haru as a plaything alongside the physical education coach in the game's ending. In short, he was Kumoto's backer.

Logically, Kumoto couldn't have been doing those things to a high school girl without someone powerful supporting him. As I remembered the details of the game, Kumoto continued talking.

"Ah. Are we not having meetings these days? Ah. It's because the girl I trained last time ran away. I'll catch another fresh one soon, and we can have a good time. Haha!"

He must have thought it wasn't something to say in the hallway, so he lowered his voice considerably. Still, I heard every word.

The conversation between the chairman and Kumoto dragged on. After a long while, Kumoto crumpled the flip phone in his hand and stuffed it into his pocket. He muttered under his breath.

"Tsk, tsk, you old geezer. How much do you like women? You're fucking a college girl."

After saying that, Kumoto vanished down the hallway, leaving only me behind in the silence that filled the place.

'Ah. There is one more thing left.'

[Ah. Are we not having meetings these days? Ah. It's because the girl I trained last time ran away. I'll catch another fresh one soon, and we can have a good time. Haha!]

It was the recording of Kumoto's crime.
