And far there in the UN, Richard received this news, and his face became ugly, and he asked again, to confirm it, and when the person nodded, he took a breath, and told him to leave. And after a moment, he looked at the crowd, and understood some of them had already gotten the news.
" Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please." And everyone except Rohit looked at him.
" We have got the news from a reliable source that Krish was spotted in Iraq, and he may not be attending this hearing today." And after saying that, everyone gave the reaction as he expected, but most of them were angry. Richard calmed them down by reminding them it's not parliament, its UN court, and they need to show respect to this court. And after saying that, one of Russia's representatives spoke up.
" Just like Krish." And everyone started again. And Richard had to calm them down once again, and when they did, the Russian representative said again.
" Maybe he doesn't even care about this hearing, and I like to ask, did the US representative or the UN court, issues any subpoena or any official notice that legally binds him to come, or we just assume that he will show up after a country's representative or even president just said so." And there is an uproar again, this sentence makes a lot of sense if you see it that way, there was even some small laugh here and there, and even Rohit gave a small smile to this.
Richard once again used his authority to silence them, and then addressed the issue.
" I think The representative of Russia is ignoring a crucial issue in his statement, which is does anyone here know the true identity of Krish?" and he looked at everyone.
" Anyone, what about you, representative of Russia? Or does Dr Mehra know?" and Rohit seeing the sword facing him, immediately shifted his position.
" Don't drag me on this, I've said it earlier, this is just a farce, it doesn't matter if krish is here or not." And there was yet another commotion a little smaller in scale but yet.
Richard calmed them down, again. And said in a loud voice.
" What Dr Mehra said is also reasonable, but as a participant, Krish has the legal responsibility to be here, in this court of justice." And seeing another commotion start he stopped it by raising his hand.
" I know what you are saying, but as said before, we don't know the real identity of Krish, who he is behind the mask, but we seem to forget one crucial piece of information." and he looked at everyone.
" Why are we all attending this hearing? What was the purpose of it at the beginning." And everyone becomes quiet. No matter how their relationship is, this case holds a higher position in reality.
And Richard, seeing everyone was hearing him, continued.
" The case from very beginning to this day is about an issue, an issue we all thought was over." And he pressed a button on his desk, and the projector showed us the images and footage of Krish and The glowing guy fighting.
" Now, do I need to remind the summit how the last fight with what we call Mahamanav went." And then he looked at Rohit, and asked.
" Did I pronounce the word correctly? Dr Mehra" And Rohit didn't reply. And when Richard saw this, he continued.
" I want to remind everyone in this building that this summit was not established for any personal or political gain. It was established for a sole single reason, which was the fight between Krish and Dr Arya. A fight that destroyed the capital of Brazil. And now humanity has faced yet another similar accident, not of that scale but still worthy of attention." And he became quiet.
" Let me ask you this, our dear Representative of Russia. What would happen if a similar case of this happened in your country, your capital, where millions of people live, and you don't have Krish as your backing. What if he wasn't there in time, there are accidents where he didn't reach in time or never went. I know it's not his problem, but we have understood one thing, we can not depend on him." And he looked around at the crowd again.
" How many times he's gonna save up all, how many times we're gonna expect him to save the day. Do we have to leave all our safety issues to him now? We all have seen what he did in Iraq after the Basra event, where he tore down several settlements of terrorist group, and up rooted many evils, and even presented the light on this Savior incident, if it wasn't for him, this world may never know there is a walking nuc hidden in a capital, or worse know it when it's too late." And he looked at his glass of water, and took a sip.
" But I want to remind the summit, his reckless actions also have consequences." And he showed several footage of armed conflict with the military on the borders of several allied countries, which were present here. Several of them has grim expressions seeing this.
" These images were captured by our satellite in various areas which were once peaceful, but now have become a place for war. Several small and medium size arm conflicts have happened because our hero Krish poked a Hornets nest, it's not a preplanned attack or anything, it was just an instinctual response to what Krish did. They are scared, and I don't need to remind people what happens if a scared animal is poked." And then he showed images and charts of Krish's subconscious influence on society.
" These charts I'm showing to you are not anything of much significance, but they showed us something. These charts represent a trend, a small habit that we are developing. These charts show us that many industries have been affected by him, not to mention infrastructure, the claims of Insurance companies are alarmingly appalling. Many companies have even gone bankrupt, and I don't know if you have noticed, many insurance companies have added a clause that I myself found ridiculous." And flipped through some pages, and showed everyone an image, and took out a paper and started to read.
" I'm not going to say the company's name, but I remember this is an official paper from a reputed insurance company." And he reads.
" I quote - This policy does not cover loss, damage, or liability arising directly or indirectly from acts, actions, or consequences caused by superhuman entities, including but not limited to individuals or beings with extraordinary abilities beyond normal human capacity, such as Krish or other Mahamanav-class entities.
This exclusion applies to damages resulting from deliberate, accidental, or incidental actions of such entities, including destruction of property, bodily injury, or economic loss caused by their intervention, absence, or associated conflicts. Losses attributed to such acts are considered equivalent to acts of God or war, for which the insurer bears no liability, regardless of any contributing factors or concurrent coverage under this policy." And the summit became dead silent.
" I like to remind the summit that we still do not have a proper and officialized definition of what a Mahamanav is. It could be a guy stronger than your average run on the mil guy, and even if not, what decides what a Mahamanav is." And he looked at the summit again.
" I'm asking who is responsible for all the damages caused by Krish? I like to remind everyone that in arm conflicts, even on an international level, people have to take responsibility, countries have to take the responsibility. You can legally claim the money from the person responsible, a country have built you a new house for the broken one, or you can find yourself a lawyer, sue the insurance company, or sue the responsible person, or both sides who were in conflicts."
" But what will you do in a situation, when Krish fights with Dr Arya, and your car gets smashed, or he picks up your car and throws it at the enemy, and it doesn't even hit him. Who you gonna find, the insurance companies, no they have already raised their hand in surrender, or go to the person responsible."
" Does anyone here have the courage to go and ask Krish or Arya for compensation." And he looked at everyone's eyes.
" No one, even you have, what if he never showed up? Like he just did today." And everyone clapped.
" We are not doing this for benefit, we are not doing it for ourselves even, we are doing this for people below, people at the bottom." And he took a deep breath.
" Krish's presence is not always all good. We are as a race doing something very detrimental, we are putting a person above all, we are seen as an ideal, as a Messiah, as a…as a God." and he paused for a moment.
" He is just a human, he has his feelings, he makes mistakes, he does some stupid things, and does things on impulse, we all do. But we need to remember who he is, or what power he holds. In stories we have seen good become great, but more often in reality, bad becomes worse. We are in a bad situation, which might become worse." Everyone seems to remember the day of doom, where Arya stands above their head, ready to wipe everyone out.
And seeing the silence one of the representatives asked.
" What are you trying to say, Mr Richard?" And everyone looked at him.
" I think we all know it." And he became silent.
" I have already asked this before, and I have addressed it before, and I'm gonna address it again." and he took a deep breath, and looked at the silent summit in front of him.
" What will happen if someday, a guy similar to Krish shows up, destroying our world, and we don't have krish to protect us."
" And worse, if he himself tried to destroy us. What will we do ?" and no one made any noise. And after saying all that, he looked at Dr Mehra.
" Dr Mehra, how sure are you that your formula that you made to deal with krish will work?" And once again guns were pointed at Rohit. But this time he didn't dodge and replied truthfully.
" It's Fifty-fifty." And Richard asked again.
" And how are you sure that it will work on the savior guy, who suddenly appeared in Iraq?"
" Not at all, everyone has different types of reaction to their Meta-gene being activated, without his DNA, it's impossible to say anything." and after hearing this, some people seem to realize something.
" Now, i as an individual, as a representative of the UN, and the head of the judges committee, not as an American citizen, formally demands and orders, That Krish, as an individual, represents himself in front of this committee, and willingly." and he took a deep breath, a look of nervousness passing in his face
" Donate his blood." And there was an uproar after that, even Supriya was surprised by this, Richard who previously, calmed the situation down, wasn't able to calm them down now, many people were panicking, many accusing him, questioning him, for what he said, he was literally tearing his face from Krush, who he himself said has the power to wipe them out. Richard , seeing his attempt of calming them down failed, said in a loud voice.
" Quiet." and everyone stopped for a moment.
" Quiet, please be quiet. I can answer your questions if you give me a chance to answer them. I know what I said is very radical, but if we see it in a pragmatic and serious way, this is the only viable option, to ensure that we as a human being are capable of stopping him, as a force."
" Then what will happen to his blood then, who'll have it, America?" Asked a Middle East man.
" Isn't that something our countries should talk about? In this court of justice, we don't talk about the divide of spoils like others, we are here to make judgment, not decision." And he looked at everyone again, and then said in a low voice.
" There will be a vote about this matter after lunch break." And he ordered the court to be in breach.
And far on the top, Surpiya wrote this in his notebook.
