This is harder than I thought..."
I'm Adrian and this is my tale.
"Maybe I should try swinging the katana a hundred times..."
Strange, isn't it? For some reason, I've been reborn as a peasant in a distant kingdom I've never even heard of.
In my previous life, I was a samurai during the Heian period. Unfortunately, I died far earlier than I expected. Damn it, I was only twenty-one! I can still remember the burning pain of that final slash cutting through me.
And then… I opened my eyes here, in the body of a boy named Adrian.
A new life. A new world. I guess I'll have to make the most of it.
This boy… he was an orphan. Left the city a year ago because he couldn't find food. He must've thought living in the forest would be easier. Well… it wasn't. He didn't last long. Lucky for him, I'm in charge now. Don't worry, kid—I'll make this body stronger.
"That's enough training. Time to hunt for food."
[Third Person View]
'Should I follow this boy's dream of becoming a knight?' Adrian wondered as he chewed on some roasted meat.
"A knight in this world is probably similar to a samurai… though not exactly the same. Still, it might be the best way to survive."
Even now, Adrian has no idea why this happened or why a katana appeared alongside him when he arrived here.
"Alright! Time to rest. More training tomorrow!"
He smirked to himself. 'Guess it's all training for now… haha. I need to make this body faster and stronger.'
The Next Day
"Well, time to do some training."
Adrian moved through the basics the same drills he practiced when he was becoming a samurai.
"This is really effective. In two years, I'll be strong enough to become a knight. The only problem is… how old is this body?"
He paused, sighing. 'I can't believe I didn't think about that. Even in his memories, he had no idea.'
"Well, judging by his appearance… maybe fifteen? Sixteen? No, probably seventeen. Whatever. Once I build some muscle, age won't matter!"
Adrian grinned, excitement burning in his chest. Watching this body grow stronger… could he really achieve the dream this boy once had?
