Chapter 64: Blocking and Rebellious Tsunade
"Ah…"
Shizune sighed, thinking about her long-abandoned house, probably thick with dust. Cleaning it now would still be doable before bedtime. She hadn't expected Lady Tsunade to be in such a playful mood.
"Alright, sigh."
Shizune's gaze drifted to the store next to the barbecue restaurant. It looked high-end, grand, and classy. Her wallet shrank just looking at it—another major expense was coming.
Suddenly, Tsunade's eyes narrowed. At the store entrance, three ANBU appeared. One entered the store while the other two blocked the way.
"What? This store is open but doesn't allow entry?" Tsunade said coldly, crossing her arms.
One ANBU responded indifferently, "Wait a moment."
Tsunade frowned. "Why wait? I'll count to five. Move, or I'll make you disappear myself."
The two ANBU glanced at each other. While most might fear a Sannin, these proud Uchiha were not intimidated.
Tsunade's eyes flicked as she noticed a faint reddish glow behind their masks—two pairs of Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
Elite Uchiha Jonin… blocking me? she thought.
Her sharp gaze counted down silently. Five seconds. If they didn't move, she would act.
Shizune fretted beside her. Lady Tsunade, this is Konoha. The Hokage isn't even your teacher anymore… is it worth fighting over?
But Tsunade's expression showed she meant business. Shizune could do nothing but watch anxiously.
As Tsunade neared the final two seconds, the two ANBU didn't flinch. Instead, they pulled out two dark red blood bags from their pockets.
Tsunade froze. She recognized them instantly from her days at Konoha Hospital. Just a glance made her face pale and a wave of nausea rise. She hadn't looked directly at the blood—her hemophobia spared her the worst—but it was enough to make her struggle.
Shizune's face changed as she saw the bags. She quickly dropped Tonton and supported her master.
"Lady Tsunade…" Shizune murmured, worried.
"Despicable," Tsunade spat through gritted teeth.
Uchiha usually aren't clever… but using my hemophobia as a weapon? She stared at the masked faces, thinking them a disgrace to the clan's arrogance.
Meanwhile, the ANBU who had entered the store reported to Fu Yue. Tsunade was outside, seemingly wandering. She hadn't contacted Naruto or Sasuke. Fu Yue, a little puzzled, guessed she had merely stumbled upon an unfamiliar store and wished to look inside.
He waved his hand. "Don't stop her. Let her do as she wishes. But don't reveal that I'm here."
The ANBU nodded and returned to inform the two at the entrance.
"This store's business hours are open. You may enter as you please."
With that, the ANBU vanished into the shadows, leaving Tsunade and Shizune free.
Tsunade's irritation eased slightly. Seeing the ANBU act so obediently, she felt a tinge of amusement.
"Lady Tsunade, why don't we just go home?" Shizune suggested.
"No. I absolutely must see what's inside today," Tsunade said, her rebellious streak ignited.
Shaking off Shizune's hand, she stormed into the store. Shizune picked up Tonton and hurried after her.
Inside, a smiling shop assistant greeted her.
"Welcome to Pansi Cave. We offer basic foot baths and massage SPAs. You may choose your technician from the photo wall here."
Tsunade listened, expression blank, her anger momentarily dissipated.
Don't hit a smiling face, she thought.
After the assistant finished, Tsunade's expression twisted slightly.
"So, this is a black-market establishment offering erotic services?" she sneered.
The assistant remained unfazed, smiling. "Guest, this is a legitimate establishment. All services are lawful. Please rest assured."
Tsunade glanced at the photo wall skeptically.
A few customers finished their foot baths, leaving the corridor with bright smiles and buoyant spirits. Their fatigue vanished; they promised to return.
Tsunade decided: since she was here, and the ANBU had blocked her for a while, she might as well uncover the secrets herself.
"Give me one of those basic foot baths first," she said.
Shizune didn't stop her. When the price was mentioned, she realized the cost was modest—barely the price of a regular meal, negligible compared to the money Tsunade had lost gambling.
This small expense was nothing.
