The wind rustles through the broken outskirts. Tremor stands slightly apart, arms crossed, eyes hidden beneath the cloth covering. Kai and the others circle him carefully, wounds still fresh, but determination burning in their eyes.
Kai begins, voice firm but steady. "There's a lot you need to know… since the fight with Rei, things have changed. His power isn't just dangerous it's… unnatural. He's fusing Hollow and Vein in ways no one should."
Noa steps forward, light flickering softly along her fingers. "He's already begun recruiting others, using their brokenness… twisting them into something else."
Jet flexes his numb hand, letting a few small objects float around him. "And he's powerful. Too powerful to fight alone."
Tremor listens silently, sensing the faint tremors in the ground beneath his feet. Then he tilts his head, eyes covered but intuition sharp.
"I… feel it," he says slowly. "The ground… it's shaking… not like normal tremors. Something's moving beneath us… something dangerous."
Kai nods, surprised but encouraged. "You feel it too? That's why we need you. Your seismic sense… you can sense things before they strike. You'll help us survive what's coming."
Tremor exhales sharply, finally meeting Kai's gaze, or at least the direction of it. "I believe you. I can feel it. And it's… wrong. Worse than anything I've ever sensed."
Vee steps closer, letting her subtle Vein energy brush the edge of Tremor's awareness. He flinches slightly but does not recoil curiosity and tension intertwine in his posture.
Tremor finally straightens. "Fine. I'll stick with you… for now. But if this goes sideways, I don't play hero."
Kai nods. "We don't ask you to be a hero. Just… stand with us."
[THE SWITCH…]
The camera pans upward, a shadow stretching over the horizon. The scene cuts abruptly to a crimson sky.
Beneath the red moon, Rei and his team gather. Stitched flesh glints in the light, Hollow energy hums, Vein energy pulses. Nyx stands nearby, whispering to the others, manipulating shadows and fear.
Rei smiles faintly, crimson eyes glinting. "They've added another.
Interesting.
Let's see how long their fragile trust lasts… before I pull the strings.
