Chapter 163 - CH 163 : Elder Kai Released

The Sacred World of the Kai basked in its usual tranquility — rolling golden plains beneath a violet sky and the twin suns casting divine light over the realm. Yet that peace was shattered by the sounds of swishing air and fierce battle cries echoing across the horizon.

"Haaah!"

"Tch! Take this!"

Within a single hour, the impossible had happened.

Both Goku and Vegeta, who had earlier needed their Super Saiyan 3 power to even lift the Z Sword, were now handling it effortlessly — in their base forms.

Goku grinned widely, swinging the enormous blade in perfect arcs. "Hehe! This sword's still heavy, but I think I'm finally getting used to it!"

Vegeta folded his arms, smirking. "Hmph. Took you long enough, Kakarot. I mastered it twenty minutes ago."

"Yeah, yeah," Goku laughed, spinning the sword one-handed before planting it into the ground. "Still, it's pretty amazing how we got this strong in just an hour!"

Rudra watched from a distance, a faint smile forming on his lips. Their growth never ceases to amaze me. Mortals... no—Saiyans really do break every limit that exists.

Shin and Kibito stood nearby, still unable to believe what their eyes were seeing. Kibito whispered, "Lord Shin, they've gone beyond even our comprehension… Are we truly witnessing mortals surpassing gods?"

Shin didn't answer immediately. His gaze lingered on the two warriors, awe written across his face. "It seems… so, Kibito."

Rudra then turned to the Supreme Kai with a thoughtful look. "Lord Shin," he said calmly, "I think it's time we test the sword properly. If it's truly the divine weapon of legends, let's see how sharp it really is."

Shin blinked, surprised by the suggestion. "You wish to test the Z Sword?"

Rudra nodded. "Yes. It's the only way to understand its true potential."

Shin hesitated, then raised his right hand toward the sky. "Very well. I shall create the hardest object in the entire universe. Even the gods cannot destroy it easily."

As his divine ki flared, golden energy twisted above his palm, condensing into a small, shimmering cube that pulsed with cosmic energy. The ground trembled as if bowing to its presence.

"This," Shin said gravely, "is a block made of Katchin, the densest and toughest material in existence. If the Z Sword can cut through this, it will confirm its divine edge."

Everyone's eyes turned to the cube, radiating immense power.

Goku cracked his neck and grinned. "Hehe, sounds like fun! Okay then, let's see what this sword's got!"

He gripped the Z Sword tightly, taking a steady stance. Vegeta watched with crossed arms, his prideful smirk unwavering.

"Don't embarrass yourself, Kakarot."

Goku laughed lightly. "No promises!"

Rudra folded his arms, watching intently. Even he was curious about the outcome.

With a deep breath, Goku swung the Z Sword down with full force. The air roared with pressure as the blade sliced toward the cube.

CLANG!!!

A shockwave exploded outward, cracking the ground beneath their feet. Dust and divine sparks flew everywhere. For a moment, no one could see what had happened.

Then—

CRACK!

The sound was soft but horrifying. Goku's eyes widened in disbelief as the sword in his hands… snapped cleanly in two.

The upper half of the Z Sword clattered to the ground with a dull thud, its once divine glow fading into silence.

The entire realm fell still.

Shin's face turned pale. "Wh-what… what just happened?"

Kibito stumbled back. "T-the Z Sword… broke?!"

Goku stared at the blade in his hands, speechless. "Oh no… I—I didn't mean to—"

Vegeta's eyes widened, his usual pride giving way to shock. "That's impossible! That sword was supposed to be unbreakable! Are you telling me it just shattered like cheap scrap metal?!"

Goku looked at Shin, scratching his head nervously. "S-sorry about that, Lord Shin… I didn't think it would break. Honest!"

Shin didn't answer. His shoulders slumped, his expression hollow. "The… the sacred Z Sword… destroyed…? That was the one hope for saving the universe…"

Kibito knelt beside the broken blade, still trembling. "My Lord, this… this cannot be happening. All that legend, all that prophecy—gone?"

The Supreme Kai sank to his knees, staring at the fragments. His divine aura dimmed like a dying flame. "How could this be? The weapon meant to destroy absolute evil, shattered by mortal hands…"

Rudra sighed softly, feeling a strange mixture of pity and intrigue. So even the divine artifacts have limits.

But before anyone could speak further—

A faint rumble echoed from the shards of the sword. Light began to flicker around them, and a powerful gust of energy swept across the field.

Goku blinked. "Huh? What's happening now?"

The broken pieces of the sword floated upward, spinning rapidly. A blinding white light burst forth, enveloping everyone.

Vegeta shielded his eyes. "Kakarot! What did you do this time?!"

"I didn't do anything, I swear!"

As the light faded, a silhouette emerged from within—a short, old man with white hair, long pointed ears, and eyes filled with centuries of wisdom. He hovered gracefully in midair, stretching his arms after what seemed like an eternity.

"Ahhh… finally… freedom!" the old man exclaimed, cracking his back. "It's been so long since I felt the breeze of the Sacred World!"

Everyone stared in disbelief. Kibito's jaw dropped. "Wh-what in the name of the gods…?"

The old man smiled warmly, brushing the dust off his robe. "Greetings, young ones. You have done well to release me."

Shin's eyes widened in shock. "Wait… are you—?"

The old man chuckled. "Indeed. I am one of the Ancient Supreme Kais. Long ago, I was sealed within the Z Sword by a terrible foe."

The realization struck everyone like thunder.

Goku blinked. "So… you were inside the sword this whole time?!"

The elder Kai laughed heartily. "Hohoho! That's right, my boy! And thanks to you breaking it, I'm finally free after millions of years!"

Vegeta frowned, glancing at Goku. "So basically, your stupidity freed an old man. Wonderful."

Goku rubbed his neck awkwardly. "Hehe, guess I got lucky this time?"

Shin stepped forward, bowing deeply in respect. "Elder Kai… I never imagined… You were the one sealed inside the Z Sword all along?"

The old Supreme Kai smiled gently. "Indeed. And now that I've returned… perhaps it's time I shared the truth about why I was sealed—and what lies ahead for all of you."

Everyone exchanged looks of astonishment as divine light shimmered around the ancient being.
