Chapter 96 - Chapter 96 – The Powerful Fourth Spirit Ability (Part 2)

The two Gai Yue smiled faintly:

"This ability is indeed top-tier within its level. But, Little Ao, don't forget — your fourth spirit ring is a thirty-thousand-year ring. Its standard is equivalent to the sixth ring of the very strongest Spirit Emperors, and even comparable to the seventh ring of weaker Spirit Saints. If you consider it this way, then this ability alone isn't truly enough to justify the excitement written all over your face."

Hearing this, Dugu Yan fell into thought. She realized Gai Yue's reasoning was sound. If this had been just an ordinary thousand-year fourth spirit ring, such an effect would undoubtedly qualify as top-tier.

But for Oscar, who had absorbed a spirit ring far beyond his level, such an outcome could not explain his boundless excitement. After all, Oscar was no stranger to extraordinary experiences. How could something of this degree thrill him so much?

Dugu Yan turned her eyes toward Oscar.

"Little Ao, tell the truth?"

Oscar smiled at her expression.

"What the Teacher described is completely correct — but not the whole truth."

He paused, then continued:

"The reason Teacher's clone only had sixty percent of his strength is that my ability has a restriction. If someone at my level or lower consumes it, then the clone will inherit one hundred percent of their strength. But for each spirit ring more than mine, the clone loses ten percent of power.

"Teacher, you have four more spirit rings than I. So, naturally, your clone was reduced by forty percent, leaving it at sixty percent strength."

"If, however, a Spirit Master with the same number of rings as me — or fewer — consumes this ability, the clone will be a complete, perfect copy at one hundred percent."

At once, Gai Yue understood. Yes, this explanation justified it.

For Spirit Masters of the same level, Oscar's ability would allow them to summon a fully intact clone — mind-linked, with every technique mirrored. That was essentially a one plus one greater than two situation.

In fact, Gai Yue could already imagine using a clone to unleash the same techniques simultaneously, like a self-contained martial fusion. The combined power would far exceed what one person alone could accomplish.

Just thinking of this, Gai Yue grew genuinely excited. If, one day, Oscar reached the Titled Douluo realm and he himself used this ability, wouldn't that mean he could effectively fight as two Titled Douluo at once?

At that level, even a single rank made a world of difference. And now, with Oscar's help, he could bypass those limits entirely — duplicating himself, martial spirit, abilities, even spirit bone skills.

Dugu Yan too quickly realized the terrifying implications.

Her thoughts raced: If Little Ao one day reaches the Titled Douluo realm, and both Grandpa Dugu Bo and I used this ability… Forget me — but wouldn't Grandpa become two Dugu Bos?

And Oscar himself had the same idea. After all, a single Dugu Bo could change the outcome of a battlefield. But two of him? The entire battlefield would be drowned in poison, with nowhere untouched.

Gai Yue, though usually calm, now found himself unsettled by the thought.

But Oscar calmly added,

"Teacher, this ability isn't as limitless as you imagine. It does have another restriction — only one use per day. A second use merely restores soul power, without creating another clone."

Gai Yue rolled his eyes.

"And you call that a restriction? How many Spirit Masters fight battles every single day?"

Then he sighed deeply.

"Little brat, in the domain of food-type Spirit Masters, you're a monster. An even greater monster than your talent with the sword."

Oscar chuckled.

"Well, this is my main profession. It's only natural for my food-type abilities to be a bit overpowered."

Then his expression grew faintly mischievous. He looked at Gai Yue and Dugu Yan.

"Teacher, Sister… What if I told you that this isn't the only effect of my fourth ability?"

Both of them, already overwhelmed by the clone effect, stiffened in shock. The two Gai Yue spoke in unison:

"What? This still isn't everything?"

Oscar rubbed the back of his head, smiling sheepishly.

"Exactly. That was just one effect. The other requires a drop of your blood, Teacher."

The two Gai Yue glanced at each other. Since clone and original were mind-linked, the look exchanged was simply confusion mirrored back at himself.

But though puzzled, Gai Yue did not hesitate. He cut his fingertip and flicked a drop of blood toward Oscar.

Oscar wrapped the droplet in spirit power, preventing it from dispersing. His fourth black ring lit up once again, surging with dark power.

This time, his chant changed subtly:

"Fourth Spirit Ability — Imitation Mirror Copy Sausage!"

The drop of blood pulsed with light. Soul power condensed around it, and in Oscar's palm appeared a sausage shaped like a miniature ice-blue Frostmoon Sword, radiating chilling cold.

Seeing the shape and recalling Oscar's request for Gai Yue's blood, all three immediately guessed at the nature of this second effect.

Oscar handed it to Dugu Yan.

"Sister, try it."

Somewhat dazed, Dugu Yan accepted the ice-blue sausage and swallowed it. A bone-piercing chill ripped through her body before dissolving into refined energy that merged seamlessly into her spirit power.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. She raised her right hand — and a Frostmoon Sword, identical to Gai Yue's martial spirit, appeared in her grasp.

Gai Yue froze. His own martial spirit, in Dugu Yan's hand?

Not only that — rings of light rose from Dugu Yan's body: two yellow, one purple. Her third ring glowed —

"Third Spirit Ability: Frostmoon Waltz!"

Cold sword-light crisscrossed the air, lashing toward the two Gai Yue.

"What?!" Gai Yue exclaimed. Dugu Yan had not only manifested his martial spirit, but even his spirit ability!

Could it be… Little Ao's second effect copies the blood donor's martial spirit and spirit abilities entirely? Even spirit bone skills…?

Before he could finish the thought, Dugu Yan raised her arm. Ice-blue energy flared —

"Ice Dragon Python Right Arm Bone Skill: Ice Age!"

Terrifying frost erupted, freezing the surroundings. This was not her own spirit bone skill, but one directly copied from Gai Yue!

Though shocked, clone-Gai Yue swiftly countered, raising his Frostmoon Sword to block her strike. With sixty percent of Gai Yue's rank eighty-eight power, the clone easily overpowered rank-forty Dugu Yan.

Even so, the sheer fact that she could wield his martial spirit and bone abilities left him utterly shaken.

When she finally exhausted her energy and the copied spirit vanished, Gai Yue recalled the clone, staring at Oscar in awe.

"Little Ao… these are essentially two different forms of the same spirit ability."

Dugu Yan's lips trembled as she added,

"Little Ao, your fourth ability… It's on par with a hundred-thousand-year ability, isn't it? Only rings of that level are said to grant two different effects."

Oscar's smile remained calm.

"To be honest, I was surprised too. But yes — my fourth ability has two distinct effects. One is the Imitation Mirror Clone Sausage, which needs no blood and produces a duplicate. The other is the Imitation Mirror Copy Sausage, which requires blood and allows full replication of another's martial spirit, skills, and spirit bones."

He carefully explained the details — the conditions, the limits, the advantages.

Both Gai Yue and Dugu Yan stood frozen in shock.

A single spirit ability, yet two different forms? Both incredibly powerful? This truly was something that could rival — or even surpass — a hundred-thousand-year ring.

Even Oscar himself felt stunned. In the original history, his Copy Sausage only replicated seventy percent of strength, eighty percent with a spirit bone, and for a mere three minutes. No martial spirit bones, no permanence.

But his? A perfect replication, martial spirit, skills, and bones included. And no time limit — lasting until spirit power was exhausted.

And as if that weren't enough, when used without blood, it became the Clone Sausage — originally something only possible through a head spirit bone!

Oscar could only marvel at the evolution of his ability.
