Chapter 2390 - Ch: 141-145

Chapter 141: The Final Battle

Wanda sat on a beach chair in front of the pool, holding the Space Stone in both hands. Scarlet Chaos Magicintertwined with a quiet blue light, reflecting on her face... In the dim courtyard, the blue light bloomed, warping the very space itself. The next moment, a figure emerged, running at extreme speed, whipping up air currents that overturned the chairs in the yard as green leaves fell like rain.

The figure stopped suddenly, looking with some surprise at Wanda sitting on the beach chair not far away.

"Wanda?"

The newcomer was Quicksilver. He had come from Sokoviato New York and had been searching for traces of the demon and his sister, Wanda.

But Wanda lived in seclusion, and the demon's movements were unpredictable, so Quicksilver had gained nothing. However, he still hadn't given up. He could often see information posted by citizens on social media about the demon's appearance. Quicksilver knew that as long as he stayed in New York, he would be able to meet the demon again.

Tonight, Quicksilver had just stepped out of a bar where he had been celebrating with the people there over the aliens being defeated by the Anti-Demon Alliance.

Suddenly, he was enveloped by a strange blue light. Quicksilver tried to use his speed to escape that unknown blue light, but it was useless. Then he was teleported here and saw his long-lost sister, the Scarlet Witch... Quicksilver's heart, which had just settled, became excited again: "Do you know how long I've been looking for you..."

"Pick up the chair," Wanda interrupted him flatly.

"Huh?" Quicksilver froze for a second before turning back to pick up the chair he had knocked over.

Quicksilver walked toward Wanda. He had many things to say, but being interrupted like that, he didn't know where to start.

"What is this place? Did you escape from the demon?" Quicksilver asked after taking a deep breath.

Wanda's next sentence made Quicksilver tense: "This is the demon's residence..."

Quicksilver looked around warily and suddenly rushed to Wanda's side: "The demon is here? We have to leave, now!"

Quicksilver reached out, but Wanda dodged him. "If he were in the house, could you leave even with your speed? He isn't here."

Quicksilver had already realized something was wrong. "What's wrong with you? What happened these past few days? What did the demon do to you?"

"Do you also want to ask if I'm sane right now? I'm very sane, the demon didn't do anything to me..." Suddenly, Wanda looked up at Quicksilver calmly. "No, the demon did everything to me. These days have been like an unreal dream, and a beautiful dream like no other."

Quicksilver was stunned. He struggled to understand what Wanda was trying to express. Slowly, he held his head in his hands, unable to accept this reality.

"Listen, Wanda, we can discuss this later. Now, while the demon is away, let's get out of here." Quicksilver spoke very fast. "I'll contact HYDRA right now and take a secret flight back to Europe tonight. We'll solve all of this after we return to Sokovia."

As he spoke, Quicksilver pulled out his phone, but as soon as he unlocked it, several cracks appeared on the screen. The next moment, it turned into countless tiny fragments and fell from his fingertips. He turned his head in confusion.

Meeting Quicksilver's gaze, Wanda said firmly, "No!"

"Pietro, brother, I brought you here to tell you: stop looking for me in New York..."

"Are you joking?" Quicksilver's mental state was deteriorating. "I came all the way from Sokovia to New York to save you. I've run through every street in New Yorkthese past nights, and now you... Is the demon inside threatening you? That damn demon!"

Quicksilver was about to rush into the house, but Wanda, who knew him well, had already moved to stop him.

"You should calm down..."

"How can I be calm!"

"I'm living very well now. It's quiet, stable, and leisurely. There's no war, no dangerous missions. This is the life I've always dreamed of," Wanda said calmly.

"But you're staying with a demon!" Quicksilver said in disbelief.

"The demon gave me all of this."

"No... your mind isn't clear right now. You're being controlled by him." Quicksilver remembered the surveillance footage he saw in Sokovia of Wanda and the demon grocery shopping. "It must be so... the demon kidnapped you. He will only bring you harm. Everything you're talking about is just a false dream he created. It's just the demon's way of controlling you. Wake up, Wanda!"

Quicksilver was agitated, but Wanda created a wall to prevent him from approaching. He could only use words to try and wake his sister up.

Wanda closed her eyes and said, "It truly is as unreal as a dream, so beautiful that one can't help but be intoxicated. If this is a dream, I won't let anyone shatter it..."

"Damn demon!" Quicksilver roared.

"He didn't hurt me," Wanda said softly. "That night was the luckiest moment of my life. A violent and terrifying guy saved me from suffering and even fulfilled my dreams... This manor is very peaceful, and you can't break that."

"Are you kidding me?" Quicksilver broke down. "You've fallen in love with a demon? You've fallen in love with a thug who kidnapped you?"

Wanda looked at Quicksilver with a hint of sadness in her eyes. "I don't know... I'm not sure if I've fallen in love with him, but I know I can't leave him."

"You're crazy! You've actually developed Stockholm Syndrome! Wanda, you used to control people's minds, but now you've lost yourself..."

"I am very sane," Wanda repeated once more.

"Sane? No," Quicksilver shook his head. "We depended on each other in the midst of gunfire and war since we were young, and now you choose a thug!"

As Quicksilver continued to speak, the Space Stone on Wanda's chest suddenly flickered. She gripped the Space Stone with one hand.

"What is that thing?"

"A gift from him." Wanda looked up. "You should go."

"Why? And, we should go together. You have to come with me... Is the demon coming?" Quicksilver suddenly understood and shouted, "Demon, come out!"

"You are my only relative in this World. Even if you can't give your blessing, at least you should respect my choice, Pietro." Wanda stood up and raised her hand. Blue light enveloped Quicksilver... but she suddenly stopped. A man wearing a demon mask suddenly appeared on the beach chair next to her.

"Demon!"

Quicksilver was incredibly agitated. Wanda's words had provoked him so much that he even forgot the gap in strength between himself and the demon. He pulled a handgun from his clothes, ready to fire!

Arthur's face remained full of smiles. Wanda's hands were enveloped in Chaos Magic. She suddenly raised her hand, knocking Quicksilver's gun away, and stepped forward to block Arthur.

Quicksilver trembled all over, unable to believe the scene before him.

Arthur, lying on the beach chair, stretched. He took Wanda's hand and said, "A guest has come to our home, and you didn't even notify me?"

"Let her go!" Quicksilver's face was full of rage, but his movements were already restricted by Wanda. "I will definitely kill you, demon!"

Arthur just smiled faintly and opened his arms toward Wanda.

Wanda hesitated for a second before turning around to sit on the beach chair, leaning into Arthur's embrace.

Quicksilver's roar came from behind, his face already blank with shock.

Wanda buried her head in Arthur's chest. She hugged him and said with her eyes closed, "He is my brother."

"I know, of course," Arthur squeezed Wanda's shoulder. "Otherwise, how could he still be standing there in one piece?"

Arthur reached for Wanda's chest and took out the Space Stone.

"I'll borrow this for a bit. I have things to do, so you two talk."

Wanda grabbed the Space Stone. "We're already done talking."

She turned back to look at Quicksilver: "Pietro, don't look for me anymore. I'm doing well. I don't suggest you go back to Sokovia. HYDRA might not be what we thought growing up... I hope you can live the life you want too."

"No!" Quicksilver shouted, but it was to no avail. Wandahad already made up her mind.

The fantastical blue light flashed again, and Quicksilverdisappeared from this mysterious manor that could not be found.

The roar was sent away along with Quicksilver, and the manor returned to silence. A night crow flew low, leaving a hurried cry, like a ripple spreading across a calm lake.

Arthur reached out to wipe the tears from the corners of Wanda's eyes. He could feel the sadness flowing from the Scarlet Witch in his arms, but he still maintained that smiling expression.

"Give me a head massage." Wanda closed her eyes, her face full of sadness. "I really need it right now."

Arthur shook his head in dissatisfaction. "You're the one who should be following orders, not me—now, smile."

Wanda slowly revealed a smile. It didn't seem forced; her smile bloomed brightly.

Arthur pinched her chin and said, "There's still a war waiting for me. I'll borrow the 'glowing blue sapphire' for a bit. Stay here and be good."

"Okay," Wanda nodded. "I'll wait for you to come back."

Arthur gripped the Space Stone... In the depths of space, tens of thousands of light-years away from Earth, Captain Marvel continued to fire energy blasts, attacking the demon incessantly.

The battle had lasted for over ten hours. Captain Marvelhad used every means possible but could not completely kill the demon. This made her feel alarmed, but it also strengthened her resolve.

Captain Marvel took the demon away from Earth toward the depths of the Universe. During this process, she not only maintained faster-than-light speeds but also used long-distance space jumps multiple times for displacement.

After arriving in these star systems devoid of life, she could launch even more powerful attacks without concern.

But what Captain Marvel found strange was that shortly after leaving Earth, the demon stopped fighting back. He allowed Captain Marvel to restrain him as they flew into the depths of space, and he never defended or dodged the powerful attacks she launched.

If it weren't for the fact that Captain Marvel could feel the powerful life force within the demon, she would have mistaken the being she was restraining for a corpse.

Captain Marvel once again used her limited magical attack methods. During the battle, she had discovered that the demon was nearly immune to all physical attacks; only some powerful magical attacks could break through his defense and cause damage.

A magic bomb blasted the demon. Its power was so great that it broke Captain Marvel's restraint on him. The demon was sent flying by the Impact, falling straight toward the surface of a giant Planet.

Captain Marvel used her cosmic-level perception to instantly probe the entire Planet. Feeling that there were no living beings on it, she gave chase.

She continued to attack as the demon fell, but that living target recovered quickly after being heavily injured, his life force seemingly infinite.

The demon fell like a meteor. He began to cross the atmosphere, his body creating water vapor as it rubbed against the air. Captain Marvel followed closely, firing a continuous high-energy light beam at the demon. The scattered light illuminated the entire sky.

Boom!

Under the influence of Captain Marvel and the Planet's gravity, the demon's descent was very fast, yet the falling process still lasted for over a minute.

A massive Impact occurred. The shockwave spread in all directions, and the ground began to collapse. Tens of thousands of tons of matter were kicked up into the air, falling back down after reaching their peak as fire soared into the sky.

Captain Marvel waited for the entire process to end before beginning her descent. The demon's fall had created a crater tens of kilometers in diameter, and she arrived at its deepest point.

But then, something unexpected happened: the demon disappeared from her super perception! Captain Marvellooked and saw that where the demon had disappeared, only a plush doll flattened by gravity remained. Looking at its shape, this doll was a replica of the demon... Captain Marvel was stunned. Was the target she had spent so much effort attacking all along just a plush toy? Had she spent all that effort traveling ten thousand light-years just to bring a fake demon out of Earth? Or was the demon's true form this plush toy?

Captain Marvel had no answer. She casually fired an energy blast, instantly destroying the rocks in that area, and not even ashes remained of the plush version of the demon... Captain Marvel slowly flew up. She slowly accepted the fact that this was all just the demon's trick.

If what she had taken away was only a knock-off version of the demon, then the real demon should still be on Earth, meaning Earth was still under the demon's threat.

Having realized this, Captain Marvel prepared to return to Earth at maximum speed. She had to resolve the demon crisis as soon as possible.

Having witnessed the demon's power, Captain Marvelrealized that the demon was not just a disaster for Earthbut could potentially threaten the entire Universe.

She had learned some information about the demon from Nick—that he was an unscrupulous madman!

Captain Marvel was just about to leave this lifeless Planetwhen a familiar energy fluctuation suddenly caught her attention. Immediately after, a burst of blue light shone on the ground, looking exceptionally brilliant in the darkness.

The blue light revealed a figure dressed in full formal attire, with even his bowtie and hairstyle meticulously arranged, looking like a socialite ready to attend a banquet. His appearance on this barren Planet was exceptionally jarring, but looking at the eerie demon mask on his face, all the jarring elements became reasonable... A demon!

Leaving Earth for the first time, Arthur slightly raised his hand. The gravity of this unknown Planet was over ten times that of Earth, and Arthur was still experiencing this sensation.

Captain Marvel frowned slightly, but her attention was no longer on the demon; it was on the energy fluctuations that had just flowed. Looking at the blue light source in the demon's hand, she said with certainty, "The Space Stone!"

Captain Marvel's power originated from the Space Stone, so she was naturally not unfamiliar with this energy.

"Are you also a plush toy that turned into this? Or a true demon?" Captain Marvel shook her head. "I'll know after I completely destroy you."

Arthur didn't have the habit of looking up at others; he used spatial displacement again to reach the same height as Captain Marvel.

"You can actually use the power of the Space Stone..." Captain Marvel became very cautious. She had a premonition that the person before her was a true demon.

Arthur just smiled faintly: "Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a demon, from New York."

An elegant aura flowed out, as if he were about to bow and invite her to a waltz, rather than engage in a life-and-death battle.

"Carol Danvers, I'm from Massachusetts," Captain Marvelsaid calmly. Her energy flared up, her entire body flowing with yellow light. Before the battle even began, she activated her strongest state—Binary!

Arthur wanted to say more, but Captain Marvel clearly had no interest in small talk. After just learning she had been toyed with by the demon for over ten hours, she was exceptionally furious.

She raised her arm and fired an energy blast. Arthurwaved his hand to construct a defensive wall with energy. Instantly, the two energies exploded, turning into magnificent firelight that illuminated the World.

Captain Marvel instantly accelerated beyond the speed of light, slamming a fist into Arthur's chest. Although Arthur was immune to physical attacks, he was still knocked back.

Arthur used the Rabbit Talisman to negate the kinetic energy on his body. After coming to an instantaneous halt, he began to stack his own speed.

Although the Rabbit Talisman's initial speed of Mach 5 was a far cry from Captain Marvel's faster-than-light speed, Captain Marvel had a maximum speed, whereas Arthur could stack speed infinitely. Moreover, under the infinite energy supply of the Dragon Talisman, his speed increased extremely rapidly!

The two collided at extreme speeds, trading punches. A powerful Impact spread out, shattering the ground. Here, they were both completely unrestrained; every punch was their strongest attack.

In her Binary state, Captain Marvel could destroy a Planetwith a single punch, while the initial strength of Arthur's Ox Talisman was only 150 million tons. Thus, in every punch at the beginning, Captain Marvel gained an absolute advantage, easily sending Arthur flying!

The Ox Talisman began to operate, and Arthur's strength was also in a state of infinite stacking.

Captain Marvel was initially relieved that her strength crushed the demon, but she suddenly realized that the demon's strength and speed were both growing. Every Impact resulted in a qualitative leap in speed, and the power of every punch was several times stronger than the last, with this growth seemingly having no end... Arthurwas fighting to his heart's content. He didn't use the power of the other Talismans, instead relying solely on the Rabbit Talisman and Ox Talisman to wrestle with Captain Marvel. This feeling of pure power clashing was mesmerizing!

After being knocked back countless times, he would always accelerate back into the attack after wiping away his kinetic energy. Gradually, his speed caught up with Captain Marvel's, and the strength gap was constantly narrowing.

Suddenly, after a clash, it was Captain Marvel who was knocked back. In the next round, this gap became even more obvious. After his speed and strength doubled and stacked again, Arthur directly crushed Captain Marvel!

Without waiting for Captain Marvel to react, Arthurattacked again. Her Seventh Sense came into play; she predicted Arthur's move before he even made it.

Captain Marvel dodged at a precarious angle. Arthur's fist landed on the ground, and this Planet, which was already splitting apart from the aftershocks of their battle, instantly exploded!

A massive roar rang out as the Planet's explosion released a vast amount of lethal rays. All matter was annihilated, equivalent to the energy overflow of a hundred quadrillion hydrogen bombs exploding. Space itself began to collapse on a large scale.

But in the next second, the scattered energy began to gather again. Captain Marvel's hands lit up with dazzling light. In her Binary state, she could control every form of the electromagnetic spectrum and gravitational field energy within a cosmic scale!

"Boom!" The energy gathered by Captain Marvel was instantly released after being infinitely compressed, its destructive power and danger level greatly enhanced.

Arthur's expression didn't change at all. For the first time, he activated the ability provided by the Snake TalismanLv12—Untargetable!

Captain Marvel's expression was incredibly solemn. Her meticulously planned attack had been easily neutralized by the demon! She couldn't understand how the demon had dodged that attack, but in that brief moment, even her cosmic-scale super-perception couldn't sense the demon's existence! It was as if the demon had completely vanished... Following the infinite stacking of strength and speed, the demon had displayed yet another ability she couldn't comprehend.

Captain Marvel unhesitatingly connected to a White Holethat could extract energy for her. In this state, she could infinitely extract various forms of power. She had once swallowed a black hole in this state. If even this couldn't defeat the demon, then she could only choose to flee... provided, of course, that she could outrun a demon who could use the Space Stone.

Captain Marvel continuously fired magic energy to attack Arthur. Moving at high speed, Arthur narrowly dodged these attacks, using the full power of the Dragon Talismanto clash with her.

Several Planets with volumes larger than Earth were manipulated by Arthur, accelerating as they smashed toward Captain Marvel. His Telekinesis control ignored the mass of the targets!

Captain Marvel calmly reduced the mass of these Planets by controlling gravity. These Planets, heavier than Earth, had their mass reduced to just a few tons moments later, their power becoming negligible.

Arthur used the Snake Talisman's spatial displacement to appear behind Captain Marvel, throwing a punch with all his might. Even though Captain Marvel's Seventh Sensehad already predicted Arthur's attack, his speed now far exceeded hers; even with preparation, she didn't have time to dodge!

Arthur activated the Tiger Talisman, intending to split Captain Marvel's power, but Captain Marvel also possessed infinite energy, so the Tiger Talisman's splitting effect couldn't work. He could only settle for the next best thing: changing from splitting power to absorbing it!

Feeling her Binary power rapidly draining, a terrified Captain Marvel directly unleashed her strongest attack, firing a Quantum Light Wave!

Arthur activated "Untargetable" again. This ability gains one charge every twelve hours, with a maximum of twelve. Since unlocking this ability, Arthur, being on Earth, had no place to use it, so he had now stored seven charges of "Untargetable."

The demon vanished eerily once more, dodging her attack. While shocked, Captain Marvel also felt fear—a fear she hadn't felt since obtaining her vast energy from the light-speed engine... Captain Marvel was already considering the possibility of escape, but the demon was now faster than her, and the Space Stone completely countered her spatial jumps... [Fear detected from 'Captain Marvel', villain points +2m, +2m, +2m...]

"Feeling despair?" Arthur easily dodged a magic beam, chatting with Captain Marvel through the Sheep Talisman's mental link.

Captain Marvel once again used the energy confinement of her Binary state; this was how she had dragged the demon across tens of thousands of light-years.

"If you had chatted with me properly at the beginning, perhaps the ending would have been different..."

Arthur smiled, allowing those energies to entwine him. Only when a glimmer of hope rose in the depths of Captain Marvel's eyes did he use the Pig Talisman, his eyes firing a laser that could shatter anything, easily severing all the confinements.

Arthur didn't hesitate; he fully activated the Dragon Talisman. Infinite energy erupted from his entire body, turning into countless beams of light that coiled around Captain Marvel. Arthur used the Dragon Talisman to pour energy into her body!

Captain Marvel's White Hole could infinitely absorb energy, while Arthur's Dragon Talisman could infinitely output energy. Arthur really wanted to know what would happen when two "infinites" collided.

Energy was continuously outputted, and Captain Marvel's body turned a transparent red. She looked like a burning Sun!

At the center of the energy convergence, Captain Marveltrembled violently. Through the mental link, Arthur could hear her agonizing screams.

"The World shall know pain! (Feel the pain!)"

Arthur had no intention of stopping. Facing an old lady, he wouldn't show any tenderness.

Moreover, Nick Fury had summoned Captain Marvel to Earth specifically to execute the demon. Facing someone who wanted to kill him, he, as the victor, naturally wouldn't hold back! Arthur's twelve Talismans had also all been unsealed. Since Captain Marvel could no longer help him unseal the Talismans, she naturally couldn't obtain his pardon!

Infinite energy continued to pour in. Suddenly, Captain Marvel's screams vanished, and cracks began to appear on her body, as if the energy absorbed by the White Hole had reached its threshold and was about to explode!

Arthur instinctively reached out to cover his face. With Captain Marvel's body having accumulated so much energy before exploding, the power would be self-evident. It was unknown how many star systems the powerful Impact would sweep through.

But Arthur, at the very center of the explosion, was fearless. He possessed an undying body and held two major trump cards: "Untargetable" and the Space Stone.

In a flash, Captain Marvel's body turned into a pile of fragments, which flew and vanished within the collapsing space.

Everything came to a screeching halt! The massive explosion Arthur had imagined didn't occur. Moreover, through the Dragon Talisman, he could feel the infinitely massive energy source in front of him instantly zero out and vanish. The energy output by the Dragon Talismanalso lost its target and dissipated into the Universe.

Arthur looked with some confusion at the suddenly calm Universe. The collapsed spaces were also rapidly repairing themselves.

Only the power of rules could explain all this... Arthurguessed that it might have triggered the Universe's self-protection mechanism, but he didn't care too much about it.

Arthur tossed the Space Stone up and caught it. "Goodbye, Captain Marvel!"

He didn't know how much evil and crisis would arise in the Universe without Captain Marvel's protection... but none of that had anything to do with Arthur.

A flash of blue light appeared, and Arthur used the power of the Space Stone to teleport himself back to New York.

In the manor, Wanda was lying on a beach chair looking at the starry sky. She had been watching for two hours without moving, and finally, she felt that familiar spatial energy fluctuation again.

Wanda had never worried for Arthur. She could sense a mere tip of the iceberg of his power, a strength that already exceeded her cognition.

Wanda knew there was no existence on Earth that could kill the demon, so she was never afraid that the demon would never return... Of course, she also didn't know that Arthur had just gone to the depths of the Universe tens of thousands of light-years away to fight.

Arthur appeared on the sofa in the living room, and Wanda stood up and ran over barefoot.

Arthur put the Space Stone back around Wanda's neck, patted it, and said, "Keep it safe. All the trouble is finally resolved. I'm going back."

"Stay and keep me company..." Wanda said, taking Arthur's hand. "Don't go."

Arthur looked into Wanda's eyes and slowly shook his head. In the past two hours, Wanda had actually hypnotized herself... Who knew what kind of role Arthurnow played in Wanda's spiritual World.

Arthur opened his arms, and Wanda immediately threw herself into his embrace. She stood on her tiptoes to initiate a kiss, but Arthur avoided it.

Arthur held Wanda's face and looked directly into her eyes. Both of them saw the faint phantom of a sheep appearing in each other's eyes... White spiritual energy diffused, and instantly, Arthur eliminated all of Wanda's self-hypnosis, restoring her to clarity.

It was he who had woven a beautiful dream back then, and now he had brought Wanda back to reality.

"Goodnight!"

Arthur activated the Snake Talisman and vanished from the manor.

Wanda whispered to the empty air:

"Goodnight..."

Tomorrow I'll return to two chapters, no more big chapters. But I feel like updating two chapters together in the evening is better, because separating them makes them seem short... So from now on, I'll update in the evening, between ten and eleven.

Chapter 142: Arthur

East side of Manhattan, New York, United Nations Headquarters, World Security Council.

"That concludes the press release regarding the Battle of New York. Next is the Q&A session. One at a time, please!"

As the spokesperson, Tony controlled the room with a smile. In the past, Stark Industries often held various press conferences, so he was very familiar with the process.

"Mr. Stark, a new Superhero appeared during the Battle of New York. Many citizens were saved by him, and they even took photos together... Most importantly, in the video you released, it was he who sent the nuclear missile launched by the Military into the portal, eliminating the nuclear explosion crisis in New York."

As expected, the first reporter focused on the suddenly appearing Arthur.

"Furthermore, through videos filmed by citizens, we can see that this Superhero is extremely powerful, with strength not even inferior to Dr. Bruce Banner. Finally, his identity was confirmed as an ordinary graduate of Midtown School of Science and Technology, which has attracted much attention. Can the Anti-Demon Alliance reveal some information about him? What is his name? How did he become a Superhero?"

"Hmm... actually, I prepared for this question long ago, but I'm sorry to say we know very little about him." Tonypaused and said, "Yesterday, I invited him to attend today's press conference. Looking at the situation now, it seems he isn't interested in such occasions..."

The reporters and staff in the audience burst into laughter, and Tony continued with his prepared draft.

"He's not only powerful but also quite special. He doesn't wear a uniform or a mask, and he doesn't have a nickname like Iron Man or Spider-Woman. We all call him Arthur; it's a title of respect." Tony continued, "As for Arthur's special experiences, we don't know. His resume seems quite ordinary."

"Now, Arthur is a powerful and elegant mage. Just as shown in those photos and videos, he can easily defeat enemies in battle. So, what he thinks about most is how not to get his clothes dirty, or using those cool-looking moves..."

Tony reached out and pressed down his hand, and the laughter in the hall slowly died down.

"Although we know little about Arthur, we can be certain of one thing: he stands on the side of justice!"

"Arthur was originally enjoying a peaceful life, but when he saw the Chitauri invading Earth, he didn't hesitate to contribute his strength. He was the main force of this war, and in the end, it was Arthur who found the way to close the Space Portal and then risked his life to transport the nuclear missile..."

Someone started clapping first, and then thunderous applause swept through the venue. Tony could only wait for the applause to subside.

"So, I suggest everyone not to disturb Arthur's quiet life!" Tony's tone shifted. "This isn't a suggestion, but a warning. Although Arthur believes in justice, he doesn't have a good temper... If he's on a date with his girlfriend and you're hiding in the bushes filming them kissing, someone's going to have a bad time!"

Once the venue was quiet again, Tony picked the next reporter.

"Please, that lady over there... I remember you, from the press conference where I announced I was Iron Man!"

"Because I'm wearing the same clothes as that day, Mr. Stark!" The female reporter took the microphone and said, "Has Arthur joined the Anti-Demon Alliance?"

"Regrettably, not yet," Tony said. "But we are working hard toward that goal, and we are very confident because the Anti-Demon Alliance already has some advantages..."

"Taking this opportunity, I also want to announce some information. After the war, Dr. Banner and Spider-Womanhave both decided to join the Anti-Demon Alliance..."

...In the lounge, Captain America and Agent Coulson sat opposite each other. On the screen nearby, Tony spoke eloquently, answering every question perfectly.

"Are those details really suitable to be shared with the media?" Coulson asked somewhat skeptically.

"I thought S.H.I.E.L.D. allowed it..." Captain America shook his head. "But this fits Tony's personality; he's always been unconventional."

"No, no, no, Captain. You all have quite the style!" Coulsonlaughed and said, "I've learned my lesson. I didn't prepare a speech for Mr. Stark this time because that would just be a waste of my time."

"I'm sorry about last time, Agent Phil..."

"No need to apologize, Captain. Considering you signed my trading card set, if you serve as the official spokesperson next time, I'll continue to write speeches for you," Coulsonsaid with a smile.

"There might not be another chance for that..." Captain America said with a small smile.

"Have you made up your mind, Captain?" Coulson was a bit surprised. "That was just one mistake..."

"Don't try to persuade me anymore, Agent Phil," Captain America interrupted. He lowered his head, his mood suddenly turning somber. Those indelible images surfaced again, and he rubbed his temples hard with both hands.

Coulson felt a bit at a loss. He slowly rose and left the lounge. Perhaps it was better to leave Captain Americaalone for a while.

Ten minutes later, the lounge door was pushed open again.

"The press conference was a success. Now I finally have time to eat at that barbecue place!" Tony walked in and looked at Captain America's back. "And that kid actually stood me up!"

Captain America stood before a massive floor-to-ceiling window. He looked down at the sculptures and statues in the garden, gifts from various countries. His gaze fell upon the famous sculpture "Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares."

"Arthur never promised to attend this press conference either."

"So he left me to deal with those reporters alone!" Tonycomplained as he walked to the window and stood side-by-side with Captain America.

"Thor needs to return to Asgard, Barton is an Agent, Spider-Woman's identity is secret, and Dr. Banner is destined to stay away from crowds. In the future, this kind of work can only be handled by you, Tony."

"And what about you?" Tony felt something was wrong. "Captain America, you were the one who announced the establishment of the Anti-Demon Alliance."

"They call me Captain Demon..." Captain America shook his head with a smile. "I'm no longer suited to appear in the public eye, and now every action of the Anti-Demon Alliance will be scrutinized by the media and the public. So, I've decided: I'm leaving the Anti-Demon Alliance."

"Because of that one failure?" Tony was in disbelief. "You were the one who created this alliance—Anti-Demon, to protect Earth!"

"Seventeen innocent people. I've never truly looked directly at the mistake I made..."

"That was the demon controlling you!" Tony said loudly.

"I killed them with my own hands; I have clear memories of it now," Captain America said, his eyes closed. "Those police officers didn't have fear on their faces before they died, only surprise. The civilians were still calling my name after they fell..."

Tony fell silent. He hadn't had such an experience, but he could feel the sense of despair and regret.

"I've decided to leave the Anti-Demon Alliance and become a wanderer... like Spider-Woman, eliminating crime and helping civilians on the streets. Perhaps that will become the meaning of my existence. After finding Natasha, I want my first stop to be Berlin." Captain America turned to look at Tony. "Of course, this isn't backing down. Steve Rogers won't be a deserter. If another war like an alien invasion happens, or if this alliance falls into crisis, I'll be back."

"Are you kidding? You're the leader of the Anti-Demon Alliance!" Tony's expression was priceless. "I'm very busy. Besides managing Stark Industries, I have to conduct scientific research, upgrade the Iron Armor, and build spaceships and interstellar weapons. Don't you dare dump the alliance's affairs on me!"

"I believe you'll become an excellent leader. Putting aside your personality flaws, you're still very capable. Besides, the Anti-Demon Alliance doesn't have much business. Most of the current work is related to Arthur and finding Natasha." Captain America patted Tony's shoulder. "There are no more demons on Earth. Perhaps this alliance should change its name. Avengers sounds quite good."

"Who knows? It's not certain that the demons won't come back one day..." Tony muttered.

"Then I'll be back too!" Captain America raised his fist. "We'll settle all the old and new scores together."

Captain America turned and left after speaking, leaving Tony standing alone by the window, lost in thought.

"Don't forget the party at the barbecue place!"

...At night, the Stacy family's dinner table was exceptionally quiet. No one spoke, and the sound of silver knives cutting against porcelain plates was clearly audible.

Mrs. Stacy had intentionally turned off the TV. Her younger brothers, Howard and Angus, had no objections; their eyes were glowing as they stared at their older sister, Gwen. George was eating his dinner seriously, but from his deep gaze, it wasn't hard to tell he was thinking about something.

Gwen focused on cutting her broccoli, her head nearly buried in her plate. But what was coming was bound to come. No parents could remain calm after learning their daughter was dating a Superhero... Gwen was already wondering what the scene would be like when her identity as Spider-Woman was exposed.

"Gwen, shouldn't you give us an explanation?" Mrs. Stacyspoke first. "About this 'Arthur'."

"So everything on the internet is true?" Howard said excitedly. "Your boyfriend is the Superhero Arthur?"

"He knows magic, right?" Angus added. "Like Harry Potter!"

"He can fly and manipulate objects; I've seen the videos!" Howard shouted. "Arthur is even more powerful than Captain America and Iron Man..."

"Be quiet, Howard." Mrs. Stacy looked back at Gwen.

"Actually, I didn't know at first either. When I met Arthur, he seemed like an ordinary person, and we interacted as ordinary people... until one day, I discovered his superpowers, which was not long ago," Gwen explained.

"Yesterday, we were shopping when the Chitauri suddenly began invading Earth. Those aliens were fierce and cruel, causing destruction and Carnage all along the way. We saw many citizens lose their lives because of it, so Arthurdecided to use his power to protect those ordinary citizens..."

"That sounds a lot like your style." George interjected while chewing his steak. "If Arthur chose to hide his power, he wouldn't use it easily."

"Okay, it really is my style. I kept urging him to do it, to protect everyone and stop hiding his power..." Gwencovered her face with both hands. "As expected, it caused a lot of trouble."

Mrs. Stacy also looked at Gwen with some concern. "Gwen..."

"In this era, people with superpowers are very lucky, but often those around them encounter misfortune," Georgesaid, putting down his knife and fork pointedly as he looked at Gwen.

Gwen naturally understood what her father, George, meant. These issues had originally been her own concerns; she feared that once her identity as Spider-Woman was exposed, criminals would retaliate against her family.

But now, that risk was much smaller. Once those with ill intentions learned Spider-Woman's identity, they would also know that Arthur, who repelled the alien army, was Spider-Woman's boyfriend. This would give them much more to worry about.

Except for those lunatics and outlaws, of course.

Gwen even suspected that Arthur's purpose in exposing his superpowers was to protect her... besides that, Arthurhad no other reason.

This couldn't help but bring tears to Gwen's eyes. Although Arthur claimed he didn't support her being a true Superhero, once Gwen joined the Anti-Demon Alliance, Arthur did his best to provide her with protection... "Don't worry, Mom. Arthur will protect me," Gwen said, holding Mrs. Stacy's hand. "He's powerful enough. Didn't you see the media say? Even Dr. Banner isn't as strong as he is."

"He is strong, but you are fragile. Arthur can't be with you twenty-four hours a day," Mrs. Stacy said, shaking her head.

Gwen thought to herself that she wasn't an ordinary young girl. She was a real Superhero... and the kind that would offend many evil forces and criminals. It should be her bringing trouble and danger to Arthur.

"Uh... it might not be impossible, but couples need private space, too. Plus, I plan to move out after I start university..." Gwen observed her parents' expressions. "Arthur doesn't have that much of a sense of justice. He isn't interested in fighting crime or upholding justice; that's not his responsibility. So he won't make enemies, and the danger is minimal."

"Using one's superpowers with caution—that's the right set of values. It's much better than Spider-Woman!" George nodded and said, "But even without participating in conflicts, possessing superpowers in itself attracts hatred."

Gwen could only respond with silence. Although she was quite unhappy with George's evaluation of Spider-Woman, she couldn't refute it now.

"Gwen, it's been a long time since Arthur came over for dinner," Mrs. Stacy said.

"A long time? A week?" Fortunately, Gwen had already thought of an excuse. "He's busy with university applications. He might not have time for the next few days..."

"It's like he's avoiding us..." Mrs. Stacy said. "Do superheroes need to go to university too? I thought he'd wait until after high school graduation to join the Anti-Demon Alliance, maintain World peace, and save the Earthor something."

"Earth is very safe now, Mom! He doesn't have any intention of joining that organization for the time being."

"Which university will Arthur apply to?"

"Empire State University, the same school as me."

"Empire State University? That school is very difficult to get into. I remember his grades were..."

"Mr. Tony Stark will write him a recommendation letter..."

Gwen was chatting with her mother when Georgesuddenly asked, "Gwen, remember the two genetically mutated people who appeared at your school? A Rhinoand a wolf. I remember you and Arthur were at school that day."

"That matter had nothing to do with Arthur. We had just finished watching a baseball game then," Gwen explained. "The Battle of New York was the first time he used his superpowers in public. Before that, he was always very cautious..."

Gwen naturally knew what her father, Chief George, wanted to ask. To this day, the deaths of Rhino and Jackalremain unsolved cases, and the police have yet to find the real killer.

Chapter 143 Wanda's Confession

The medical room of the Demon Base was brightly lit, and Black Widow lay on the operating table in the center, her eyes open, staring at the white ceiling.

The Snake Woman at her side was ceaselessly saying something, as if complaining. The Fallen Angel held a tray, utterly silent, and a green reagent lay quietly on it.

Arthur suddenly appeared in front of the operating table; no one was surprised, they were already accustomed to the Demon's elusive nature.

"Boss!" The two bowed in greeting, and the Snake Woman immediately fell silent.

"The last perfect Lizard Serum?" Arthur asked, picking up the reagent.

"Yes, Osborn's people left two samples. We found them after you left that night. The other one was taken by that very fast person..." The Snake Woman turned to look at Black Widow on the operating table and said boldly, "Are you sure you want to inject her with the last perfect Lizard Serum? She just joined our organization."

"Begin the injection." Arthur handed the reagent to the Fallen Angel.

This certainly wouldn't be the last perfect Lizard Serum, because the other serum was taken back to HYDRA by Quicksilver. With HYDRA's technological level and methods, it would be easy to analyze the serum, and after extensive human experimentation, they could perfectly replicate it, and then mass-produce it... It's very possible that people from the Anti-Demon Alliance will encounter an immortal army from HYDRA in the future.

This kind of thing had no effect on him, but on Earth, it was still very powerful. The Spider-Beastman's powerful regenerative ability had impressed him; this serum could be considered a weakened version of the Horse Talisman.

Black Widow possessed extremely strong combat skills and experience. A weakened version of the Horse Talismancould greatly enhance her strength, at least enough to deal with some ordinary Superheroes and complete the tasks Arthur assigned her.

When injecting Black Widow with the perfect Lizard Serum, the Fallen Angel skipped the sterilization step. She pushed the medicine into Black Widow's vein, and the moment she pulled out the needle, the needle mark on Black Widow's wrist had completely healed.

Black Widow began to tremble; her reaction was very strong, and the pain seemed extremely difficult to bear. Arthur could also feel the energy surging within her body.

Arthur waved his hand, and the two behind him exited the medical room. He quietly waited for Black Widow and the perfect Lizard Serum to fully merge.

After a long ten-plus minutes, the energy reaction within Black Widow's body finally stopped. She slowly opened her eyes, instantly flashed and jumped off the operating table, kneeling on one knee before Arthur.

"Natasha, congratulations on your rebirth." Arthur threw a newspaper to the ground, "J. Jonah Jameson, the editor-in-chief of The Daily Bugle, actually slandered Arthur for an entire section today. I'm very unhappy. Make him shut up."

"Yes." Black Widow picked up the newspaper and said.

Arthur again used spatial displacement, arriving at the manor. Today, Gwen had gone to the Anti-Demon Alliance's barbecue party, and he, of course, had no interest in that, so he was very idle today.

After arriving at the manor, Arthur lay on the sofa, and Wanda returned to the house with surprise.

Wanda stood at the doorway, looking at Arthur. She held onto the doorframe with both hands, not speaking, not approaching, but her gaze never left Arthur.

"A Coca-Cola, with ice please!" Arthur raised his hand and said.

Wanda brought a glass of Coke to Arthur's side. She knelt on the carpet, and seeing that Arthur had no intention of reaching out, she brought the straw to Arthur's lips.

"I thought it would be a long time before I saw you..." Wanda whispered. After Arthur took a sip, she moved the cup aside.

"Why?" Arthur and Wanda looked at each other. He reached out and tucked the hair covering Wanda's eyes behind her ear, "Also, you're blocking my view of the TV."

Wanda hugged the Coke and obediently moved to the side.

Real-time news came from the TV, with a female reporter filming a second "Justice March" held by some citizens on the streets of New York.

Everyone held anti-Superhero signs and shouted slogans.

The location of the march was the battlefield of the Battle of New York. In the footage, the damaged streets had not yet been repaired, with construction debris everywhere, and bloodstains occasionally visible on the road. In the upper left corner, the damaged logo of Stark Tower could still be seen.

"I don't know, it's my intuition." Wanda said softly, her gaze fixed on Arthur.

"Stupid... Sorry, I wasn't talking about you, I meant those people marching on TV." Arthur smiled, then sat up and said, "Come here, Wanda."

Wanda put down the Coke, and after sitting next to Arthur, she immediately threw herself into his arms.

"I might already be in love with you..." Wanda pressed her ear to Arthur's chest, listening to his heartbeat, and said.

"Only might? I thought you'd be hopelessly in love with me!" Arthur said, feeling Wanda's slender waist.

"That shouldn't be far off either..."

"Because I gave you the life you wanted?" Arthur said casually. Wanda listened to his heartbeat, which was calm and without any fluctuations.

"Perhaps some of that, but it's far more... I like many things about you: mysterious, powerful, indifferent, violent, domineering... Although you spend little time here, you bring me companionship, and sometimes I even feel a family-like warmth from you... Perhaps also the sense of security you give me, and those special feelings that cannot be described in words."

Wanda took Arthur's hand and placed it on her chest: "You also possess psychic power. If you can see into my heart, you'll know I'm not lying..."

"I don't dislike lies either, but I can't say I like them." Arthur squeezed.

"Then do you like me?" Wanda looked up, staring at Arthur with emerald-like eyes.

"Here?" Arthur gripped and said, "Of course, I like it very much."

Wanda's face became a little flushed. She looked at Arthur without speaking.

"Apparently not yet." Arthur smiled, shaking his head and saying, "I like obedient girls. Right now, you're very obedient, and I'm very satisfied."

Wanda's eyes instantly dimmed. She hugged Arthur and said, "I will always be obedient..."

"Really?" Arthur gently pressed Wanda's head down.

Wanda's eyes were full of confusion, but she still followed Arthur's hand, kneeling back down on the carpet. Kneeling on the carpet, Wanda looked up at Arthur, her bewildered expression appearing very innocent.

Arthur looked down at Wanda, he reached out and pinched Wanda's chin, shaking his head in disbelief.

"What?" Wanda said softly, her confusion deepening again.

"From now on, you'll be called 'Innocent Witch,' or 'Naive Witch' works too." Arthur said with a smile.

However, it was understandable. Wanda's parents died when she was young, she lacked family education, and she had little contact with the outside world in HYDRA. Furthermore, Baron Strucker had always trained the siblings as assassins and ultimate weapons, not Agents. It was normal for her to lack some knowledge in this area at her current age.

Wanda still hadn't gotten an answer. Just as Arthur was about to say something, he suddenly heard a voice from the television.

"Unexpectedly, this 'Justice March' is targeting the newly emerged Superhero, Arthur, who was also a key figure in the Battle of New York!"

At this moment, many banners about Arthur appeared behind the female reporter, and some of them were even abusive and discriminatory... "Most citizens believe that Arthur was just playing a game in the Battle of New York. In many photos where he is smiling, the bodies of innocent civilians can be seen, and the background is almost always a destroyed city."

"This can't help but make people question the character and morality of this new Superhero. He simply doesn't care about the lives of ordinary citizens, nor does he respect life, and coupled with his immense power... citizens suspect that Arthur poses a great danger. Although no criminal record for Arthur has been found, citizens also believe that Arthur will harm humanity in the future."

"So they believe Arthur is not fit to be a Superhero. They demand that Arthur publicly apologize and repent, and they demand that the government regulate Arthur..."

Arthur's face grew cold. Wanda observed the process. She thought Arthur was dissatisfied with her. Just as she was still bewildered, Arthur picked her up and put her back on the sofa.

"I'll slowly teach you those good things later. Now I have other matters to attend to." Arthur said calmly, "I misspoke just now. These people are not stupid, but... they deserve to die!"

...Although the Battle of New York ended with the victory of the Anti-Demon Alliance, the scars of war were difficult to erase. Forty-odd hours after the war, the bodies of citizens and Chitauri had been removed from the streets, but it was still a mess.

"New York doesn't need super-powered individuals!"

"Put Arthur in chains!"

"Arthur, go to hell..."

Shouting various slogans and holding various banners, the marching procession broke through the police cordon, passing through the streets that had turned into ruins. A group of workers were gathered, watching the spectacle. They had originally been trying to figure out how to transport the massive Leviathan beasts' corpses.

Suddenly, a commotion arose, then quickly spread throughout the entire marching procession. The protesters in the back looked at the figure floating in the air ahead, and their confusion instantly resolved.

"Arthur! Arthur! Arthur..."

The shouts slowly blended, but this was not the fervent cry of fans seeing an idol, because these protesters were roaring, mixed with curses and all sorts of profanity.

This was the first time Arthur appeared in his true form in plain sight, but after taking off his mask, he felt no particular difference; it was the confidence brought by his immense power.

Arthur looked down at the crowd, his face filled with indifference and majesty. He did not speak, and the protesters in the front slowly stopped their clamor. Silence gradually spread through the entire procession, though occasionally someone hidden in the crowd would loudly curse one or two words.

The marching procession consisted of men and women, mostly young people, but some white-haired elders holding signs could also be seen.

Arthur found this matter very interesting. Demons had rampaged through New York for several months, and no one had ever held a protest against him. Yet Arthur had only appeared once in the Battle of New York, and in a positive role, and now people were already resisting him... Just a few days ago, Arthur had been taunting Gwen with words used to resist Spider-Woman, and now such a thing was happening to him.

The accompanying media immediately focused their cameras on Arthur's face, and the footage was broadcast in real-time. Countless citizens watched via the internet or live television.

"Are you looking for me?" Arthur said calmly.

"F*** you!" Someone roared, and instantly, the passion of all the protesters was ignited. In an instant, a deluge of curses came pouring down.

"Get out of New York!"

Arthur suddenly smiled.

Suddenly, a figure flew out of the marching crowd. He rose higher and higher amidst screams, then the screams abruptly stopped!

A burst of blood mist exploded in the air, and the ruined streets instantly fell silent. The echo of that person's scream carried over, and the blood mist scattered, falling onto the protesters' bodies. Some timid people, touching the human tissue on their faces, were already terrified and weak-kneed.

"Kneel!"

Arthur's face grew even colder and more majestic. He had not felt such anger even when facing the Chitauri.

The protesters found that they dared not look at Arthur. They stood frozen in place, at a loss.

How could a Superhero attack civilians? This had exceeded their understanding... Arthur raised both hands, and instantly the Earth shook. The tall buildings on both sides of the street flew into the air, countless Gravel rolling down, and dust filled the air.

He never said the same thing twice.

Chapter 144 World attention

Two blocks away, the Avengers were holding the Alliance's first meeting.

Fortunately, they successfully repelled the Chitauri during the Battle of New York, otherwise they wouldn't be enjoying such delicious barbecue today.

Mr. Stark, with his immense wealth, booked the entire barbecue restaurant. All food and drinks were available for unlimited consumption, and all the waitstaff were at the front desk, ready to serve them.

"Miss Spider, this is the first time I've seen you without your mask," Hill said, clinking glasses with Gwen. "You're truly beautiful."

"Thank you!" Gwen smiled confidently. "Commander Hill, you're also very charming."

"Where's Arthur?" Tony also walked over and clinked his juice glass with Gwen's. He smiled and said, "I specifically reminded you that you could bring a plus-one. The Alliance isn't very satisfied with the execution of your first mission..."

"Sorry, he's a bit... introverted!" Gwen said with a smile. "He doesn't really like these social gatherings; he prefers quiet."

"Then where's Miss Pepper? Didn't she come?" Hill's and Tony's glasses lightly touched. "And Jane? Where have all the ladies gone?"

"Miss Pepper actually loves socializing, but she has to manage her company," Tony said with a chuckle. "Recently, several European countries have sent Stark Industriesorders for new energy procurement... 100% true information, remember to buy more while Stark's stock hasn't flown up yet."

"Thanks to Stark Industries!" Gwen raised her glass and said, "I also made a fortune when the stock plummeted last time!"

"Jane went to London!" Thor, who was sitting nearby, also raised his whiskey in a gesture. "Her research in celestial convergence has made her a top astronomer, so her scientific work has become much busier."

"The company Pepper manages has become the largest economic organization on Earth," Tony said casually while drinking.

"Hahaha... Jane has already been nominated for the Nobel Prize!" Thor was not to be outdone.

Hill shrugged helplessly at Gwen. "Have you managed a publicly listed company? Or been nominated for a Nobel Prize?"

Seeing Gwen shake her head, Hill said, "Me neither, so let's go eat some barbecue..."

At a nearby booth, Captain America and Hawkeye were conversing. Both had experienced being controlled by others, making them kindred spirits.

"You mean you were conscious at the time?" Hawkeyeasked, somewhat puzzled.

"I clearly knew what I was doing. I smashed a police officer's head with my shield, then used a combo I'd practiced countless times to deal with those Agents. I picked up a gun from the ground and shot at the fleeing crowd..." Captain America tilted his head back, draining his glass of liquor. "In that state, I believed everything I did was correct, as if my personality and thoughts had been altered by a demon. Recalling it now, it was a true demon."

"Then my situation was slightly different," Hawkeyedescribed, trying his best. "It was like another me crawled out of my body. He had the same intelligence, memories, and combat skills as me. He controlled my body to kill those guards, and said those words to entice the Terroristsinto cooperating, while my original consciousness was pushed into a corner, observing everything. It was very strange..."

"That sounds a bit like me and Hulk!" Dr. Banner said, eating from a fruit platter. He rarely consumed alcoholic beverages, as he needed to remain clear-headed at all times.

"No matter what, it's in the past, Captain," Hawkeyeclinked his empty glass with Captain America's.

"What are you talking about?" Thor leaned in.

"We're talking about your damn brother Loki hypnotizing me," Hawkeye said, his tone unfriendly.

"Haha..." Thor gave an awkward laugh. "No blood relation, let me reiterate!"

"Thor, when are you taking Loki back to Asgard?" Captain America asked.

"Tomorrow, or maybe the day after... it's not confirmed yet. I want to see Jane before I leave," Thor said.

"Thor! Make sure Loki is properly imprisoned. If he invades Earth again, we'll execute him publicly!" Tony also sat down and said.

"If there's a next time, don't trouble yourselves, I'll smash his head with Mjolnir first," Thor said seriously.

"The hammer that says, 'Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor'?" Tonyscoffed. "Sounds like you're replaceable! Like a company employee, anyone who knows the computer password can send and receive emails."

"But the truth is, only I in this World can lift it!" Thor said with immense confidence.

"No matter how you hear it, it sounds like a lie!" Dr. Bannershook his head and said, "Like a myth."

"Everyone, feel free to give it a try!" Thor gestured towards Mjolnir on the table. "Dr. Banner, starting with you? I remember Hulk has already failed."

"I'm a scholar, not good at brute force!" Dr. Banner waved his hand in refusal.

"Stark?"

"I never shy away from a real challenge!" Tony stood up and said, "This is actually a physics problem. Archimedes could lift the Earth with a single fulcrum; lifting Mjolnir will be a piece of cake for me!"

Tony gripped the end of the hammer's handle. "If I lift it, can I rule the Asgardian realm?"

"Of course, Thor is the next king," Thor said.

Tony exerted force suddenly, but Mjolnir remained motionless. After two or three attempts, he gave up.

"Too bad I didn't wear my Iron Armor out today, the latest Mark 8. It would definitely work with that on!" Tony said regretfully.

"You could upgrade your Iron Armor to Mark 50 and still not lift it, because you haven't received its approval!" Thorsmiled. "Who's next? Agent Barton? Captain?"

Agent Barton merely gave it a try, and after failing to lift it, he didn't try again. After all, hearing Thor say Hulk had failed, the Hulk's strength was incomparable to his.

Captain America also put down his drink and tried.

He gripped the hammer handle with both hands, using his arms and waist, but Mjolnir didn't budge at all.

"None of you are worthy!" Thor laughed loudly.

Captain America didn't give up easily. He put one foot on the table, using his most familiar way of exerting force, but before he could use his full strength, countless cracks appeared on the glass tabletop. If he pushed harder, the tabletop would definitely shatter.

Captain America could only give up. Thor's laughter grew louder. He reached out, ready to grab the hammer, but Tony interrupted him.

"Wait a minute! We still have a new member who hasn't played this game," Tony said, looking at Thor. "Spider-Woman, right now she should be the strongest among us."

Gwen was called over. She wiped the oil from her mouth while listening to Thor recount the story of Mjolnir and himself.

"That's right, S.H.I.E.L.D. even brought a truck at the time and couldn't move Mjolnir," Hill said from the side.

"A truck? I can lift a truck." Gwen looked at the hammer and said, "This cracked glass can support the hammer now, how heavy can it be?"

As she spoke, Gwen gripped the hammer handle with both hands. She pulled up with force, and Mjolnir swayed slightly... Thor's eyes instantly widened.

Gwen continued to exert force, but Mjolnir remained firmly on the table, unmoving.

Thor exhaled, finally relieved. "I told you, no one can lift it!"

"This doesn't conform to the laws of physics!"

Gwen tried again, but all attempts ended in failure.

Thor picked up Mjolnir from the table with satisfaction, even tossing it up and catching it easily.

"None of you can do it!"

"I know someone who definitely can!" Gwen said loudly.

"Arthur?" Tony guessed.

"That's right, Arthur can definitely lift this hammer!" Gwensaid with certainty. She firmly believed Arthur could do anything.

"Miss Spider, don't bring your boyfriend into your bragging," Thor didn't believe her at all.

"Love makes people blind," Tony also said.

"Arthur might be able to defeat me, but he definitely can't lift Mjolnir," Thor said with a smile. "My father, the king, put a spell on the hammer; only those with a righteous heart and pure spirit can lift Mjolnir. No offense, but Arthurclearly doesn't meet those conditions."

Gwen stood firm in her opinion, saying defiantly, "I should have dragged him to this gathering."

Suddenly, Hill interrupted them. She placed her phone on the table. "News from S.H.I.E.L.D., protesters have gathered for a demonstration against super-powered individuals, just two blocks away."

"A demonstration? Shouldn't demonstrations be commonplace for New York?" Tony asked, puzzled.

"But their target this time is Arthur!" Hill's words instantly drew everyone's attention.

"Jarvis, project the relevant footage onto the TV!" Tonyimmediately raised his phone and said.

The standby TV in the barbecue restaurant turned on. Jarvis selected an online live broadcast. In the footage, a beautiful female host was among the protesting crowd, live-streaming the demonstration.

Gwen listened to the insults and looked at the aggressive slogans in the footage. She slowly stopped thinking... "This seems a bit bad..." Tony suddenly said.

"Nothing could be worse than this!" Gwen said, somewhat dazed. "Where are the Chitauri? I want to fight them again, maybe that would be easier."

"Come on, all Superheroes have to face scrutiny! Whether it's me, Stark, or Dr. Banner and Captain America," Thorsaid, somewhat uncomprehending. "Although this situation does seem a bit bad... I think Arthur can endure it, right? Strong individuals usually have broad minds."

"Arthur never said he was a Superhero..." Hill said quietly from the side.

"Perhaps anti-hero is more fitting," Tony said, shaking his head.

"Arthur won't see these things, will he?" Gwen asked.

"Many media outlets have opened online and TV live broadcasts for this 'Justice Protest,' and there's a certain social virality. The probability of Arthur knowing about this news is 77.9%," Jarvis's voice sounded.

"Excuse me, everyone, it seems I have something to deal with first!" Gwen said, walking towards the restaurant door.

"Arthur!" Hawkeye suddenly pointed at the TV screen, and Gwen stopped and turned to look.

The Superheroes of the Anti-Demon Alliance watched the scene of Arthur confronting the demonstrators in silence. They also saw the coldness and majesty on Arthur's face.

Even when facing the Chitauri during the Battle of New York, Arthur hadn't shown such a cold expression. Everyone felt a storm brewing... They had personally witnessed Arthur's immense power.

"Miss Spider, you really should go! The Alliance has an important mission for you: resolve the trouble there!" Tonyimmediately said. "Jarvis, you can launch my Iron Armornow!"

Gwen turned and left. At that moment, Arthur's cold voice came from the TV: "Kneel!"

Gwen sped up and ran out of the store door. She shot out a web and flew away.

"Oh my God..." Dr. Banner exclaimed, looking at the shaky footage on the TV and the floating high-rise buildings.

Captain America had already flipped off the sofa, and Thorstrode after him, hammer in hand.

"Avengers, it's time to assemble..."

...Two blocks away, at the former battlefield of the Battle of New York. All the protesters had fallen to their knees, including the onlookers, the police officers maintaining order, and the journalists. Even the construction workers nearby, after Arthur's gaze swept over them, knelt down in fear, terrified that Arthur might, in his displeasure, throw a building at them.

Arthur flew in the air, looking down at the kneeling crowd. He was like a king reigning over the World.

His gaze swept across, and the flags and slogans shattered into pieces. The demonstrators on the ground lost their courage, trembling under Arthur's might. Fear descended, and their hearts pounded.

Arthur flew slowly, heading towards the center of the crowd.

"I am here now, flying over your heads. If anyone wishes to say anything, please do not miss this good opportunity." Arthur's voice was not loud, but it clearly reached everyone's ears.

"As for hoping in the government, or the Anti-Demon Alliance, all that is futile. No one can defeat me, no one can restrict me," Arthur said coldly. "You lowly and foolish people, you don't even know what kind of existence you are trying to humiliate."

"I have never understood the meaning of your protests and demonstrations, even labeling them as 'justice.' Who can tell me?"

The street was silent. Arthur flew through the crowd to the center, but no one dared to look up at him.

"It was I who defeated the Chitauri, it was I who saved New York, who saved your humble and insignificant lives!"

"But how have you repaid me? By insulting me? Boycotting me? Blocking me? What delusions, one after another! You don't know gratitude; you don't deserve salvation. Perhaps conquest and destruction are more suitable for you."

"It should have been this way all along. You only deserve to kneel before me! Of course, this isn't submission to me, because you are worthless." Arthur scanned the crowd. "I can protect you, bring safety and stability, and I can also destroy it all with a flick of my hand…"

Arthur suddenly stopped. He looked at the street corner in the distance and smiled helplessly.

"Please! Baby, don't interrupt me now. It will make me lose a lot of face," Arthur whispered.

"Stop! Stop!" A figure flew from the street corner. Spider-Gwen swung in on a web. She stood on the wall of a floating building. "Arthur, what are you doing?"

"As you can see, in this World, it's not just criminals who cause evil," Arthur said with a smile. "I'm trying to fix all of this."

"It shouldn't be this way…"

"This is the best way. Only God can patiently listen to their repentance. I can only give them violence!" Arthur's attitude was firm.

"Put them down first!" Gwen frowned, gesturing to the floating buildings.

"You shouldn't interfere with today's matters."

With that, Arthur snapped his fingers, and all the soaring buildings gently landed back down. The crowd watched the scene in horror. Arthur's every action demonstrated his supreme power.

But a portion of the people raised their arms, cheering "Spider-Woman," and stood up.

In their view, Spider-Woman had stabilized the situation, and at least Arthur would stop his atrocities.

"I can't watch you make a mistake without stopping you!" Gwen said loudly. "Now, let's leave immediately. Nothing has happened yet!"

Arthur continued to smile, looking at Gwen with warmth in his eyes.

"I haven't made a mistake; in fact, I'm helping them correct their mistakes. You know what they're doing. Only a turtle would silently endure such resentment," Arthur said calmly.

"Also, I will not make mistakes. I am justice!"

Arthur scanned the crowd again, his gaze falling on those who had dared to stand up.

"Do you think your savior has arrived? How dare you defy my command?"

The sudden pressure crushed those who were standing. They couldn't withstand the force and fell heavily to their knees, their knees scraping the pavement and drawing crimson blood. Screams echoed through the dilapidated streets. The others, hearing the wails in their ears, for the first time felt fortunate for their weakness and hesitation.

"Quiet!" Arthur commanded again.

Just hearing that voice sent shivers down one's spine. Those enduring the intense pain of bone fractures gritted their teeth, blood flowing from the corners of their mouths, not daring to make another sound.

"Kneel and stay quiet," Arthur said. "If anyone dares to disobey again, he will be executed immediately. Not even Jesus can save him!"

"You're insane!" Gwen said, disbelievingly.

Arthur shook his head. Gwen had had a smooth journey since becoming Spider-Woman, and he was a little worried about her capacity to cope.

But he also felt it didn't matter. His identity as a demon couldn't be hidden forever. Gradually letting Gwen accept all of this was better than a sudden blow.

Gwen shot out a web, but Arthur easily caught it.

"Are you going to attack me, Miss Spider?"

"I'm going to stop you. Anger has made you lose your mind!"

Gwen pulled hard, harder than when she held Mjolnir in the barbecue restaurant earlier, but Arthur didn't budge.

With a casual tug, Gwen was pulled from the building and flew towards him.

Gwen shot a web at a side wall, but Arthur easily broke it.

Arthur grabbed Gwen's shoulder. "Baby, don't get in my way. These people aren't worth your bravery. You're the one who needs to calm down. I'll send you back to rest first. Don't swing all the way back here on webs to find me. You can't stop me, you'll just make a wasted trip. See you tonight."

With that, Arthur activated the Snake Talisman's spatial displacement. In a blink of an eye, Gwen found herself in another place. She instantly recognized it as Arthur's home. Her body began to fall, landing on the bed and bouncing… After sending Gwen away, the smile on Arthur's face turned cold again.

"Why does someone always interrupt me?"

No sooner had Arthur's voice faded than a golden and red figure flew from the street corner. Tony, wearing his newly upgraded Iron Armor Mark 8, decelerated and hovered a few dozen meters from Arthur.

"What's going on here? Some kind of religious ceremony?" Tony slowly approached Arthur. "Everyone, worship time is over, go home, alright!"

But no one listened to Tony's suggestion. The crowd remained kneeling on the ground, trembling. Someone had already been made an example of, and now no one wanted to be the chicken that was killed… "Arthur, we even invited you to a barbecue party…" Tony said. "We heard about what happened; it's really bad, but we can solve it together. How about a different approach?"

"This has nothing to do with you," Arthur merely smiled. "It has nothing to do with the Anti-Demon Alliance. Of course, if you want to change your group's name to the 'Anti-Arthur Alliance,' I welcome your challenge."

Captain America had already arrived at the scene, followed by Hill, and they rushed into the crowd.

Although Captain America was in civilian clothes, he carried his iconic shield, and as a representative of Superheroes just a few days ago, his face was also very recognizable.

"Get up! Everyone, quickly leave here!" Captain Americakept pulling at the kneeling people around him. "It's very dangerous here, quickly evacuate!"

But no one obeyed their evacuation orders. Captain America even tried to forcefully pull up an old man, which made the old man's legs go weak, and he kept shouting "No." Captain America could only give up.

Not a single person dared to defy Arthur's command again, even after these famous Superheroes arrived.

Mainly, the power Arthur had just displayed was too formidable. If he were to lift several buildings and throw them down, these Superheroes would be helpless, right?

Captain America wanted to step forward and say something, but Hill stopped him.

"Trust Stark."

At a high point beside the street, Thor landed with Hawkeye. Hawkeye drew an arrow from his quiver and aimed it at Arthur in the distance.

"Why does Arthur alone put more pressure on me than the Chitauri army did that day?" Hawkeye took a deep breath, adjusting his aim.

"That's just your illusion," Thor said indifferently. "On this Planet, it's impossible for a second person to beat me!"

Ever since he personally witnessed the demon being taken from Earth, Thor's confidence had returned. Now he saw everyone as mere fodder.

"Don't be so distant. We fought together to repel the Chitauri just two days ago. You transported the nuclear bomb, and I closed the portal, working together like teammates for years," Tony continued to fly closer to Arthur. "Your business is my responsibility!"

"Get lost!" Arthur shrugged. "Sorry, I really don't want to say that, so can you get lost? And take your 'Superheroboys' group with you."

"That's really heartbreaking. This morning I was still helping you write a recommendation letter for Empire State University…"

Tony had been slowly approaching Arthur. He knew how formidable this elegant mage was. If Arthur created distance, he would definitely have no chance of winning. If he engaged in close combat, he believed he might still have a chance.

"Those cameramen, and Miss Reporter, please stand up. I've pardoned you," Arthur said with a smile. "Please point your cameras at me, but don't focus too tightly, because you're going to live stream the upcoming battle."

The reporters and cameramen from several media outlets hesitated slightly, then stood up and followed Arthur's instructions, pointing their cameras at Arthur and Iron Man, who were flying at low altitude. A particularly ambitious cameraman even took out a sound recording device.

"You sound like a king, but I'm sorry, this is New York," Tonysaid, shaking his head.

"This is New York, and it can also be a capital under my rule," Arthur said seriously. "It all depends on whether I am willing."

"No, no, no, no one will agree. The public won't agree, and the council members won't agree. Your approval rating will be Zero."

"Then let those who disagree die. I can establish a new system in the ruins," Arthur said. "I saved New York from a nuclear explosion, and I can also send it to another destruction."

"That's crazy!" Tony said with a laugh. He was now only a few meters from Arthur. At this distance, if he fully engaged his arc repulsor propulsion system, he could reach Arthur in an instant.

"We're still having a very pleasant chat, so can we end all this?" Tony asked finally. "I see many of them need medical assistance."

Arthur shook his head. "My speech isn't over yet. You keep interrupting me."

"Is that so? My apologies. By the way, where did Spider-Woman go?"

Tony instantly ignited his thrusters, and a red figure shot out, directly colliding with Arthur.

The cameramen standing on the ground quickly adjusted their lenses, the allure of recording this great battle even overshadowing their fear.

Tony's long-planned attack seemed somewhat amusing to Arthur. He calmly extended his hand, and Tony, who had accelerated and charged in, froze in mid-air.

Tony tried to move, but the Iron Armor seemed to be locked up.

"What the hell?" Tony's face was full of surprise. "Jarvis!"

"Apologies, sir. External force is too great. Unable to move…"

"No, Arthur, I think we can still talk…"

"Who gave you the courage to challenge me? This tin can?"

Arthur snapped his fingers, and the force acting on Tony's entire body instantly changed. A grating, ear-splitting sound erupted as Tony's Iron Armor was torn into countless fragments. The fragments drifted like withered leaves, and Tony, with the white light flashing on his chest, lost power and began to fall. Several unlucky protesters were struck, letting out a scream before immediately falling silent.

The Anti-Demon Alliance members, seeing the dire situation, immediately took action. Captain America on the ground forcefully threw his shield at Arthur.

"Clang!"

Arthur caught the shield with one hand, the strong wind lifting his forelock. His eyes were full of coldness, and he casually threw the shield back!

A piercing shriek emanated as the shield cut through the air, spinning rapidly. In his hand, this shield was as light and sharp as a throwing dart.

Captain America was about to dodge, but the shield was already upon him. He instinctively put up his arms to block.

A sound of bone cracking was heard. Even with his arms blocking, the shield still heavily struck his chest. Captain America fell to the ground, unable to get up, his arms bent at his chest and immobile. Who knew how many ribs were broken.

Many protesters secretly raised their heads to watch the battle. This result also greatly astonished them. Arthurfought Iron Man and Captain America, defeating each with just one blow.

A blinding white light flashed in the sky. Thor, holding Mjolnir, descended from above!

Arthur simply waved his hand to interrupt his attack. The falling Thor suddenly flew sideways, crashing into a large building, and there was no further movement from him.

An arrow flew at high speed from the front, but it accelerated and returned while still in the air. Hawkeye's eyes widened. The sharp arrow arrived in an instant, piercing his shoulder blade and pinning him to the wall.

Hill on the ground raised her pistol, aiming at Arthur in the air, but she hesitated to fire until Arthur's gaze fell on her. Hill's body trembled slightly; she could hear her heart pounding like a drum!

"Commander, put down the gun and kneel," Arthur said calmly, but no one knew if that was the calm before a storm.

Hill hesitated for a moment, then complied. She knew she was just a mortal.

Everyone on the entire street was trembling. Because of the defeat of the familiar Superheroes, their fear was amplified infinitely, and many even smelled the scent of death… The cameraman was trembling so much he couldn't even hold the camera steady. More people witnessed this moment through the live broadcast, and the battle video had already been saved and was spreading rapidly.

This scene felt somewhat familiar, so familiar that it reminded people of "Demon Project." Of course, "Demon Project" had a stronger impact.

Chapter 145 Declaration

Dr. Banner, do you want to turn into the Hulk?

Arthur looked at the last remaining member of the Anti-Demon Alliance.

Banner walked over with the crowd, his face full of shock. He looked at the kneeling crowd and his defeated teammates; everything before him was constantly stimulating him.

"You know what? I can't control that," Banner said, looking at Arthur. "Are you enemies with him? Hulk really wants to beat you up..."

A green figure emerged from Banner's body. Hulk grabbed a car wreck from the roadside and threw it at Arthur.

Hulk jumped onto a nearby wall and ran, crushing the wall as he moved... But he was instantly knocked down by the car wreck flying back at high speed. Arthur controlled him, pulling him away from the wall. Hulk was frozen in mid-air, as if space itself had solidified.

A familiar scene unfolded again. Hulk could only roar in anger. No matter how strong he was, the Rooster Talismancould perfectly counter him.

Arthur ignored Hulk: "How should I deal with you..."

Arthur looked up at the sky. Although it wasn't night yet, a faint outline of the moon could be seen in the sky.

"I have a good idea. How about a trip to the moon?" Arthur said with a smile. "Transportation is free, no need to thank me!"

After getting an idea, Arthur immediately acted. Under the effect of the Rooster Talisman, Hulk continuously accelerated upwards, shooting towards the moon.

Arthur was really going to send Hulk to the moon!

Because the power of the Rooster Talisman ignores distance, during Hulk's ascent, Arthur could adjust his trajectory at any time during acceleration, ensuring he would land on the moon.

As for whether the current Hulk had the ability to survive in space, that was not something he would consider.

Hulk, the Green Giant, on whom many had placed great hopes, was also easily defeated by Arthur. Now he had to say goodbye to Earth... Arthur was still thinking when suddenly the sky darkened, dark clouds covered New York, and thunder rumbled.

"Is there no end to this?"

Arthur had lost his patience. He didn't wait for Thor to attack but flew upwards proactively.

The sound wave generated by Arthur's instantaneous acceleration caused a gasp of surprise. The professional cameraman immediately rotated the lens and adjusted the focus, finally locking onto Arthur, who was level with the top of the skyscraper.

"Stop right there, Arthur!"

Thor plummeted from the clouds. Lightning flashed and thunder roared over New York. Thor was bathed in electric light, his voice loud and echoing, spreading across most of Manhattan. He spoke as if he had thunder in his mouth.

"Ignorance!" Arthur shook his head in mockery.

Thor, already enraged, held nothing back. Several bolts of lightning arrived first. He instantly surpassed the speed of sound, raising Mjolnir and smashing it down!

"Clang!"

A fierce collision reverberated over New York. Arthurchose not to raise an energy shield for defense but caught Mjolnir with his hand, letting the powerful lightning flow through his entire body.

Thor was repelled by the overflowing powerful energy, and then he witnessed a scene that would shake his soul... Arthur held Mjolnir and calmly lifted it.

His father, Odin, had cast a spell on Mjolnir, but the power Arthur commanded seemed to have surpassed that spell! Even without a righteous heart, Arthur forcibly lifted Mjolnir.

Mjolnir was flowing with lightning and constantly trembling, as if trying to escape Arthur's control.

Thor reached out to summon Mjolnir. Mjolnir trembled even more violently, but it remained firmly under Arthur's control. Thor summoned countless lightning bolts to strike Arthur, but it was futile.

Arthur's Ox Talisman possessed infinite power. Even if Odin were present now, he would not be able to take Mjolnir from Arthur's hand.

Before today, as long as Thor recalled Mjolnir, nothing could stop it before it returned to his hand... "Thor, you know nothing of power!"

Arthur said, slowly increasing the force in his hand. Cracks appeared on Mjolnir. The next moment, countless electric lights were released over New York, illuminating every dark corner of the city. This process lasted for two seconds.

Thor, at the epicenter of the explosion, could not withstand the force and was repelled. As he fell, he saw the shattered remnants of Mjolnir fall from Arthur's hand... Everyone was numb, whether the kneeling protesters on site or the viewers watching this conflict happening in Downtown New York City via live broadcast... There were also some powerful figures in human society; they too were following this conflict.

And the powerful figures thought far more than ordinary people, because with the appearance of Arthur, they had far more to lose than ordinary people. No one wanted a Sword of Damocles hanging over their heads!

Now, Arthur's invincible image was rooted in their minds. No matter which Superhero he faced, Arthur crushed them with a single move.

Spider-Woman and Captain America both ended in defeat. Iron Man's armor was shattered by him. Now, even the strongest, Thor and Hulk, were equally unable to stop him.

What else on Earth could limit Arthur? Nuclear bombs? No one knew the answer.

Perhaps it was truly as Arthur said: "This is New York, and it can also be the capital under my rule. Everything depends on whether I am willing."

Arthur slowly descended from high altitude, the camera constantly focused on him.

He hovered again, waving his hand to signal all cameras to zoom in.

"So now, is there still anyone who questions me? Who dreams of resisting me?"

This scene was broadcast worldwide.

"I don't want to hear any more unfriendly voices. World, please be quiet. If anyone continues to shout 'Arthur, go to hell,' or utter words of resistance and insult, then I will silence them forever! No matter which corner of the Worldyou are in..."

Arthur looked into the camera. He watched the whole World:

"Or rather, does this World need me to redefine the rules?"

Arthur smiled, sweeping his gaze across the scene.

"Everyone, please rise. I pardon you, but only this once!"

Arthur snapped his fingers. The infinite energy of the Dragon Talisman surged forth, and the Rooster Talisman's power of restoration spread throughout the entire district.

The cracked asphalt roads began to heal, collapsed buildings quickly returned to their original form, and the debris and bloodstains on the streets disappeared... A miracle unfolded before the entire World. The battlefield that had become ruins during the Battle of New York was restored to its original state in just a few seconds, and the bustling commercial street reappeared... Everyone cast astonished glances around. Cameramen moved their lenses, recording this mythological scene.

If it weren't for the giant alien mechanical beast corpses still lying on those tall buildings, some might have suspected the alien invasion was just a hoax.

And all of this originated from the most powerful existence, Arthur.

He appeared abruptly, just as strange as the abilities he displayed.

Arthur's figure disappeared above the street. The camera broadcast his final smiling image to the entire World.

Only after confirming Arthur's departure did the street instantly erupt into chaos. The injured protesters could finally cry and wail freely. More people got up and scrambled away from the area...

"Captain!"

Tony was about to help Captain America up, but Hillstopped him.

"He has multiple fractures; we can't move him yet. I've already called an ambulance." Hill's mood was exceptionally low.

"This is just terrible..." Tony sat down on the asphalt road. "What just happened?"

"Tony, we have to find a way..." Captain America said, lying on the ground, coughing up blood as he spoke.

"There must be a way... Maybe there will be." Tony's face was also very grim.

"Mr. Stark?" an old man said from behind. "Why can't Superheroes protect us? This is your dereliction of duty!"

Tony's eyes were somewhat complex. He slowly said:

"I'm very sorry..."

...Inside the secret estate, "undetectable from the outside."

The spacious living room was very quiet, with only the television constantly emitting sounds, first the screams of the crowd, then a dead silence.

Wanda sat on the carpet, leaning against the sofa, clutching her cup of iced cola.

She watched everything that the Superhero named Arthur did.

Arthur easily defeated the Anti-Demon Alliance. He brazenly displayed his power to the entire World.

Arthur's style was familiar to her, almost identical to that of a demon. And his casual fighting style, as well as the power he displayed... But Arthur's face wasn't wearing a mask... It wasn't until Arthur's declaration ended that Wanda took out her phone and typed "Arthur" into Google to search...
