Chapter 235: Daenerys's Bloodline

August 18

Jacob lay in bed, Daenerys still sleeping peacefully on his chest. He smiled down at her, stroking her back gently, and addressed the system.

'Show me what kind of bloodlines Dany can receive.'

A window appeared before his eyes.

[Please select one of the following Bloodlines for your mate:

1️⃣ Tamaranean Bloodline (DCU – Starfire Lineage)

- Lifespan: Ageless and long-lived.

- Primary Affinity: Light and Solar Energy.

- Abilities: Photokinesis (generate, shape, and manipulate light), Solar Energy Absorption (absorbs ultraviolet radiation and converts it into superhuman strength, speed, durability, and energy projection), Flight (can fly at incredible speeds), Starbolts (fires concentrated green or pink energy blasts from hands and eyes), Energy Constructs (creates shields, barriers, and weapons made of solid light), Superhuman Strength, Speed, and Durability (increases with sunlight exposure), Accelerated Healing Factor (heals wounds quickly in sunlight), Language Absorption (learns any language through physical contact), and Emotional Energy Empowerment (strength and abilities grow stronger with positive emotions like joy, love, and passion).

2️⃣ Human Torch Bloodline (MCU)

- Lifespan: Standard human lifespan.

- Primary Affinity: Fire and Plasma.

- Abilities: Pyrokinesis (generate, control, and shape fire), Nova Flame (unleashes a devastating explosive burst of fire and plasma that can level a city block, drastically weakening the user afterward), Fire Immunity (complete immunity to all forms of fire and heat), Flight (can fly by propelling herself with flames), Superhuman Strength and Durability (enhanced by fiery form), Accelerated Healing Factor (burns and wounds heal rapidly), Heat Absorption (can absorb heat and fire from surroundings or attacks to become stronger), Flame Constructs (can create shields, whips, and barriers made of solid fire), and Self-Immolation (can engulf her entire body in flames without harming herself or her clothes).

3️⃣ Ancient Gold Dragon Bloodline (Dungeons & Dragons)

- Lifespan: Ageless and long-lived.

- Primary Affinity: Fire and Light Element.

- Abilities: Shapeshifting (shift between a massive gold dragon and human and hybrid forms), Pyrokinesis (generate, control, and shape fire), Photokinesis (generate, control, and shape light), Weakening Breath (light energy breath that drains the strength of targets), Magical Resistance (reduces impact of spells and magic), Dragon Aura (can make enemies feel overwhelming fear and make allies inspired and emboldened), Superhuman Strength, Speed, Agility, senses, and Durability, Supernatural Healing Factor (accelerated regeneration), Weakening Touch (drains strength, vitality, and willpower from enemies), Gold Dragon Light Magic (using the light element to heal wounds, purify curses, break dark magic and demonic corruption, create barriers of solid light for protection, burn evil and undead creatures, and weaken demons), and can instinctively sense the presence of evil, deception, and hidden danger.]

Jacob read the three bloodlines and grinned. 'Easy choice. The Gold Dragon bloodline is the strongest—and the best fit for Dany. Starfire's bloodline got me excited for a second, but she's weaker than a Kryptonian. And even a Kryptonian bloodline doesn't compare to a dragon—especially since the real Superman is probably more like Henry Cavill's version, not the comic book exaggeration. As for the Human Torch? That's just garbage. The Gold Dragon bloodline has Pyrokinesis, which means Dany can do everything the Human Torch can do—and more.'

He kissed the top of Daenerys's head. 'She's lucky to get this bloodline, but after everything she's been through, she deserves it. I'm excited to have my own dragon girl.'

He pulled her closer and closed his eyes, his thoughts drifting to his parents. 'I can't believe my parents are so powerful. I wonder why they left me. Maybe they had an enemy and left to protect me—or more likely, they just went to have fun. Either way, I miss them and can't wait to see them again. But even if I could go to the Marvel universe to search for them, I wouldn't go anytime soon. There are powerful creatures there that could crush me like a bug. I'm still too weak. And I'm sure my parents are living happily, so there's no need to rush. I'm pretty comfortable with my life right now.'

---

An hour and a half later, Daenerys stirred and stretched, a contented sigh escaping her lips. "That was a good nap. How long was I asleep?"

Jacob smiled. "Not long."

Daenerys sat up. "We've spent a lot of time together. We should go join Allison and the others—otherwise they'll get mad at me, thinking I'm trying to keep you all to myself."

Jacob shook his head. "Don't worry about that. They know it's your first time with me. They won't care. Besides, they're more excited to see what you'll become."

Daenerys's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"

Jacob's smile widened. "It's time to make you a supernatural creature."

Daenerys's eyes lit up. "How? And what kind of supernatural creature?"

Jacob said, "There are three bloodlines I can give you, but two of them are weak, and the third is very strong—and you're going to love it. So there's no need to mention the other two to you."

Daenerys leaned forward eagerly. "Tell me. What kind of bloodline will I get?"

Jacob's voice was warm. "A dragon. Like me and Saphira."

Daenerys's eyes went wide. "Really? I can become a dragon like you?"

Jacob nodded. "Yes."

Daenerys's smile was radiant. "What should I do?"

Jacob said, "Give me your back."

Daenerys faced away from him. Jacob placed his hand between her shoulder blades.

'System, merge the Gold Dragon bloodline into Daenerys's body.'

[Are you sure, Host?]

'Yes.'

A surge of warm energy pulsed from Jacob's hand into Daenerys's back. Her body grew warm, every cell igniting as the power wove itself into her essence.

After five minutes, a new prompt appeared in Jacob's vision.

[You may remove your hand now, Host. The transformation will take approximately one hour to complete.]

Jacob pulled his hand back and studied her face. Daenerys's eyes remained closed, her features relaxed and serene.

Satisfied, he lay down and started scrolling through his phone, letting her finish the transformation.

---

An hour later, Daenerys opened her eyes. She clenched her fist, feeling the immense power surging through her veins. "I feel so powerful—like I can do anything."

Jacob's voice was gentle but firm. "Don't let that get into your head. You're not invincible. And although becoming my mate protects your mind and keeps you from losing control, you need to remember: as a dragon, you'll feel more aggressive, more impulsive—arrogant. You'll be territorial, possessive, and quick to anger. Your instincts will scream at you to dominate, to hoard, to burn anything that threatens what's yours. You'll feel an overwhelming urge to protect your family. That's part of your nature now. But the key is to acknowledge those instincts without letting them rule you."

Daenerys considered his words and smiled. "I'll remember your warning. But right now, I don't feel any of that—just excitement."

Jacob smiled. "Well, just remember what I told you. Now show me what you look like when you shift."

She stood up from the bed excitedly, and Jacob watched as she shifted into her hybrid dragon form.

She slowly transformed from human into a beautiful golden dragon hybrid. Her eyes began to glow with a brilliant golden light, their pupils narrowing into vertical slits as a pair of majestic golden horns emerged from her head. Golden scales spread across her cheeks, neck, arms, hands, and legs, while her ears elongated and her nails sharpened into powerful golden claws. A long, muscular golden tail extended from the base of her spine, swaying with instinctive grace. As the transformation reached its final stage, enormous golden dragon wings burst from her back, shimmering in the light. When it was over, she stood before him, breathtaking in her golden hybrid form. She looked at him with a wide, happy smile, revealing rows of sharp dragon teeth.

Jacob began, "You look gorgeous—"

But her look turned hungry, and she pounced at him, cutting him off. She tore his clothes off, and they began another wild love-making session that lasted for four hours.

When they were done, she lay on top of him, breathless, still in her hybrid form. Jacob had also shifted into his hybrid form, his black wings mingling with her golden ones.

Daenerys's voice was soft after her breath calmed down. "I didn't know what came over me."

Jacob stroked her hair and smiled. "Well, you're a dragon now. And we are creatures who love sex. That's what happened to you."

Daenerys sat up, a playful smile on her lips. "Anyway, from now on, you have to satisfy me well."

Jacob said, "It would be my pleasure."

Daenerys said, "Okay. I still want to shift to my full dragon form."

Jacob cast a cleaning spell on them both, then pulled out enchanted underwear from his pocket dimension. "From now on, wear these. They're self-cleaning, and they'll shift with you. They won't tear apart, so you don't have to worry about being naked when you shift back to human form."

Daenerys took them, pulled on the boyshorts and a sports bra, and stored the rest in her ring.

Jacob got dressed and said, "Come on—let's head to our private garden."

They teleported to a private garden that only Jacob, his wives, Kitty, Saphira, and Cogman could enter.

Daenerys then shifted into her full dragon form—a gorgeous golden dragon with a white chest. She measured nine meters from snout to tail tip, with a wingspan of twenty meters.

Jacob walked to her, and she leaned her head toward him. He scratched her chin. "You look gorgeous. And you'll grow bigger with time. When I first awakened my bloodline, I couldn't even shift—only my eyes could glow and my claws could extend. But you've drunk both the Hulk serum and the Luke Cage serum, and most importantly, you're my wife. That means your strength is linked to mine. That's why you can directly shift to your full dragon form."

Daenerys's voice, deep but unmistakably hers, vibrated with excitement. "I want to train right now and see what I can do. But first, I'll call the girls to see what I've become."

She contacted Allison and the others telepathically, and soon they appeared with Kitty, surrounding her, inspecting her dragon body. She shifted to her hybrid form, and the group offered their sincere congratulations on her powerful bloodline before breaking into excited, happy chatter.

Jacob took a notebook and wrote the information about the Ancient Gold Dragon bloodline on it, then handed it to Daenerys.

Then he took eight Scrolls of Elemental and Magical Resistance and handed one to each of his wives and one to Kitty, keeping one for himself. He explained what they were, and they all opened them. The scrolls turned into light and disappeared into their foreheads. After five minutes, they all gained the ability of Elemental and Magical Resistance.

They thanked him with kisses. Then Daenerys took Malia, Sansa, and Kitty and went to spar.

Melissa kissed Jacob and went back to her hospital in Beacon Hills.

Lydia kissed Jacob and said, "I'll see you guys later. I was talking to my mom when Dany called, and now I need to go back to her." She disappeared.

Allison smiled at him. "You look happy, you pervert."

Jacob grinned. "I am."

Allison winked at him. "I'm not doing anything. Do you want to come with me to my room? We can have some fun and watch anime."

Jacob carried her in his arms, making her giggle. "Say no more, my beautiful fairy."

They teleported to Allison's room.

Chapter 236: New Shapeshifters

August 20

Three days after Daenerys received her dragon bloodline, Jacob met with the Northern lords. They gathered at Last Hearth—the Umbers, the Mormonts, the Glovers, the Reeds, and the smaller houses that had agreed to join his kingdom.

One by one, they pledged allegiance. Jacob accepted each oath with a firm handshake, forbidding them from kneeling. He gave a speech that resonated with the gathered lords—a vision of a united North, of a united Westeros, of a kingdom built not on fear but on justice, prosperity, and the simple promise that every man, woman, and child beneath his banner would be protected and have a chance to thrive.

Then he distributed weapons and shields forged by Cogman's automated factories—high-carbon steel swords, lightweight shields, and armor that would protect their warriors without weighing them down. The lords inspected the weapons with awe, their eyes widening at the quality.

"These are finer than anything our smiths could produce," Lord Mors Umber said, hefting a sword. "And in such numbers..."

Jacob smiled. "Consider them a gift. A sign of what's to come."

The army began its march to Winterfell, leaving half of the Free Folk warriors behind to guard the women, children, and non-combatants. The march would take three weeks—a journey that would allow the people of the North to see their new king's army and give the Boltons time to prepare.

Jacob did not join the army. Instead, he stayed in Serendell, enjoying his time with his wives and training his new Spatial abilities.

---

One morning, Jacob brought the Starks and Brienne to the garden in front of the palace in Serendell. He held a tray of small, perfectly baked blueberry cakes.

"These are enchanted cakes," he explained. "They'll transform you into shapeshifters. The beast form you take will reflect your true inner self—your deepest nature and hidden desires."

Jon, Bran, Rickon, Benjen, Brienne, Shireen, and Missandei all accepted a cake.

Jacob's wives, Scott, Arya, and Cogman watched with curiosity as they ate.

Jacob was especially curious about what Jon would become.

The first to finish their transformation were Bran, Rickon, and Benjen. They all turned into werewolves, easily shifting into full wolf forms the size of dire wolves—a little smaller than a horse.

Benjen managed to control himself, but Rickon and Bran couldn't. A roar from Malia brought them back under control.

Benjen shifted back to human, diving behind a nearby tree. "Can someone give me some clothes, please?"

Jacob pulled some clothes from his pocket dimension and tossed them over the tree.

Bran and Rickon stayed in their wolf forms, running around and playing together.

Next was Brienne. She finished her transformation and turned into a werebear. She shifted into a brown bear, her clothes and armor given by Jacob adapting to her massive form without tearing. She roared as she lost control.

Malia's roar brought her back to her senses. Brienne shifted back to human and sat down on the ground.

"Thank you, Your Grace," Brienne said, her voice rough with emotion. "I didn't think controlling myself after becoming a shapeshifter would be so hard."

Shireen was next. She opened her eyes—brown and glowing with horizontal pupils. Antlers grew from her head, and her hair turned white. Then her body shifted into a beautiful white doe, tearing her pajamas.

Everyone was surprised.

Melissa walked to her with a smile, touching her deer head. "Cogman, do you know what she is?"

Cogman nodded. "She is a White Hind—or White Doe. Other than the standard shapeshifter abilities, she can control the light element."

Melissa's eyes lit up. "Light element?"

"Yes, my lady," Cogman continued. "She can use it to heal others and neutralize dark magic, curses, and other harmful effects. And of course, she can use it for illusions, offense, and defense."

Melissa smiled happily and said to Shireen, "Great. Now you can use healing magic like me and become a healer like you always wanted. And you can protect yourself."

Missandei was next. She opened her eyes—glowing yellow. Her legs transformed into bird legs, and brown bird wings grew from her back.

Daenerys walked to her, touching her wings. "The wings suit you. Let's go fly together later."

Missandei smiled. "Okay." She looked at Jacob. "Thank you, Your Grace."

Jacob said, "I told you to call me Jacob."

Missandei's face flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry. I forgot."

Daenerys looked at Jacob. "Jay, what is she?"

Jacob said, "I believe she's a harpy. She can control the wind element."

Melissa smiled at Missandei. "You look gorgeous, Missandei."

Missandei's cheeks flushed. "Thank you, Melissa."

Melissa nodded toward Scott. "Look at how my stupid son is looking at you. He's completely smitten."

Missandei looked at Scott, who was staring at her without blinking, and blushed.

Jacob, standing next to Scott, kicked him lightly. "Stop drooling and go talk to the girl, you idiot."

Scott snapped out of it and went to Missandei, praising her harpy form.

Jon was the last to finish his transformation. Everyone looked with wide eyes as he turned into a grey wolf the size of a horse—but with wyvern traits. Wyvern wings grew from his back, a wyvern tail extended behind him, and scales covered his body instead of fur.

He lunged at Daenerys, Missandei, and Scott, who were closest to him. A small release of Daenerys's dragon aura made him freeze in place, whimper, and regain control.

Arya ran to Jon, touching his scales and wings excitedly. "Jon, you look so cool!"

Sansa frowned. "But why does Jon have dragon wings and scales?" She looked at Benjen. "Is it because of his mother? Was she a Targaryen? Do you know anything about her, Uncle?"

Benjen took a heavy breath. He looked directly at Jon, his dark eyes brimming with a lifetime of buried sorrow.

"Jon, turn back to human. It's time to tell you the truth about your mother."

Jacob gave Jon clothes, and Jon hid behind a tree. He shifted back to human, put on the clothes, and came out from behind the tree. He stood in front of Benjen.

Rickon and Bran, still in their wolf forms, stopped running around and came to stand next to Sansa, looking at Benjen.

Benjen looked at Sansa. "Your father didn't dishonor Catelyn, and he didn't dishonor himself."

He looked at Jon. "Ned was protecting you. Your mother wasn't some tavern girl, Jon. She was my sister. She was Lyanna."

Sansa's brow furrowed. "Aunt Lyanna? But... Rhaegar Targaryen stole her. He raped her!"

"No," Benjen shook his head. "She went willingly. She loved him. And I... I knew. I was the youngest. I was very close to Lyanna." He sighed heavily. "I helped her slip away to meet him. I thought it was just a secret romance. I had no idea my silence would cause my father and my older brother Brandon to be burned alive by the Mad King. I had no idea it would start a war that drowned the kingdoms in blood."

He continued, his voice thick with regret. "That is why I took the black. Not out of honor—but out of guilt. I couldn't bear to look Ned in the eye. But when Ned brought home a baby with Lyanna's eyes, claiming it was his bastard... I knew exactly who you were."

Daenerys's eyes widened as she realized Jon was her nephew.

Jon muttered, "I'm still a bastard. Just a Targaryen one."

"You are no bastard, Jon," Jacob interrupted.

Sansa looked at him. "You knew about Jon's parents?"

Jacob scratched the back of his head. "Yeah. I just forgot to tell you guys."

He turned back to Jon. "Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen were legally wed. Rhaegar annulled his previous marriage to Elia Martell and married Lyanna in a secret ceremony in Dorne."

He continued. "A man named Maynard—High Septon Maynard—recorded the entire thing in his private journals. The annulment, the vows of your parents, and the official marriage between them. It has been sitting unread, buried deep within the vaults of the Citadel for over twenty years. You aren't a bastard, Jon. Your name is Aegon Targaryen." He looked at Daenerys. "And Dany is your aunt."

Jon's voice was hollow. "Why didn't Father tell me?"

Jacob said, "Like Benjen said, to protect you. You are the trueborn heir to the Iron Throne. And most importantly, you are Rhaegar's son. Robert Baratheon was consumed by a terrifying hatred for Rhaegar because he thought Rhaegar had kidnapped his beloved Lyanna and raped her. You heard about what happened to Rhaegar's other children—they were butchered on the orders of Tywin Lannister. Robert didn't weep for them. He called them dragon spawn and sent assassins after Dany and her stupid brother."

Benjen nodded. "His Grace is right. If Robert had found out that Rhaegar had a surviving trueborn son—the actual heir to the throne Robert sat upon—he would have sent a thousand swords to Winterfell to cut your throat. He wouldn't have cared that you were Lyanna's blood or Ned's nephew."

Jacob added, "And by letting you join the Night's Watch, Ned was giving you a shield. Once you take those vows, you renounce all crowns and lineages. Even if Robert found out later, you were legally dead to the realm. The Watch was the only place in Westeros where a Targaryen king could hide in plain sight."

Jon sighed, his emotions in chaos. He was happy to finally know who his mother was and relieved he wasn't a bastard. But he was disappointed that he wasn't Ned's son, and he realized the immense burden Ned had carried alone to his grave. Ned hadn't kept the secret out of shame. He had kept it out of an agonizing, absolute love.

"I need to be alone for a while," Jon said, and started walking away.

Jacob and the others left, leaving Sansa and the rest of the Starks to talk among themselves.

---

The next day, after breakfast, Jacob went fishing with Chris in the lake. They sat on the dock, poles in hand, the water calm and peaceful around them.

They talked about random things—the army, the upcoming march, the integration of the North. Chris shared stories of his training sessions with the Free Folk, and Jacob listened with genuine interest.

After two hours, Chris left to check on the army in the Game of Thrones world. Jacob stayed, dozing off in the warm sun.

Scott's voice woke him. "Jacob."

Jacob yawned and stretched. "What's up?"

Scott's face was grim. "Derek called. He needs our help."

Jacob sat up. "With what?"

Scott's voice was tense. "Jackson, Isaac, Boyd, and... Tracy have been kidnapped by a new pack of werewolves in town."

Jacob sat up excitedly. 'Finally. I'm going to meet Cora,' he thought. Then he spoke. "Let's go help him."

Scott frowned. "Why are you so excited? I thought you would refuse and was prepared to go alone."

Jacob smiled. "I'm excited because I'm bored. And there's finally something to do." He stood up. "Wait for me to change my clothes."

He teleported to his room and soon came back in jeans and a dark t-shirt. "Let's go."

They teleported to Jacob's mansion in Beacon Hills. It was five in the evening, the sun casting long shadows across the lawn.

They got into Jacob's Aston Martin and drove toward Derek's loft.

Chapter 237: The Demon Wolf

August 22

Beacon Hills

Jacob and Scott drove through the familiar streets of Beacon Hills, the setting sun casting long shadows across the road. The Aston Martin's engine purred smoothly as they navigated the evening traffic.

Jacob glanced at Scott. "So, how are things going between you and Missandei?"

Scott's face broke into a goofy smile. "Pretty good, actually. I think I'm already in love with her. She's sweet and beautiful and, to be honest, way out of my league."

Jacob chuckled. "Is that so?"

Scott nodded. "Yeah. Did you know she's really smart? I mean, really smart. Half the time she's talking, I just sit there feeling like an absolute idiot."

Jacob said, "That's good. At least she'll keep you from doing stupid things. So whatever you do, don't ruin your relationship with her. You might not find love again if you're stupid enough to lose her."

Scott's voice was sincere. "I won't."

Jacob asked, "Do you know how all of Derek's Betas got kidnapped? And Peter—where's he?"

Scott shook his head. "I don't know. Derek called me and told me they were kidnapped and needed help, but he didn't give me any details. And he never even mentioned Peter."

Jacob nodded thoughtfully. "I see."

Just then, Scott's phone rang. He glanced at the screen. "It's Mom." He answered. "Hey, Mom."

Melissa's voice came through. "Scott, there's a werewolf here in the hospital asking for you. His name is Isaac. I found out about him by accident—I was passing by the operating room and heard the doctor yelling because Isaac was scheduled for surgery but was already healed. When I talked to him, he asked me to call Derek, but I don't have his number, so he asked me to call you."

Scott said, "Okay. We're on our way."

Melissa's voice was curious. "We? Who's with you?"

Scott said, "Jacob."

Jacob snatched the phone from Scott's hand. "Hey, love..."

He launched into a series of affectionate endearments that made Scott's face twist in disgust. Jacob's voice was warm and playful, and Melissa's laughter could be heard through the speaker.

Scott, growing increasingly annoyed, snatched the phone back. "Okay, that's enough!" He said a quick goodbye to his mother and hung up.

Jacob complained. "Why did you hang up? I still wanted to talk to Mel."

Scott snorted. "Talk to her later when you two are alone. I don't want to hear you flirting."

---

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital

Melissa waited outside Isaac's hospital room, giving him privacy to change, when the call with Scott ended. She pocketed her phone with a small smile and knocked gently.

"Come in," Isaac's voice came from within.

She opened the door and stepped inside.

Isaac was dressed, but still weak. His wounds from the Alphas' attack had healed on the outside, though the damage beneath remained. He looked past Melissa. "The girl who came with me—where is she?"

Melissa said, "I don't know. But there's a deputy standing guard on the room next to yours. Maybe it's her."

Isaac stood up. "Let's go see her."

They left the room and met Noah in the hallway, speaking with a deputy and a doctor.

Melissa called out, "Noah."

Noah walked over to them. "Isaac, tell me what's going on. And who's the girl who came with you?"

Isaac's voice was tense. "Jackson and Tracy got kidnapped by a new werewolf pack in town. Derek, Boyd, and I split up and were looking for them all around town. Boyd and I managed to find them—or more like, the pack allowed us to follow them and ambushed us. They caught Boyd, and they almost caught me too, but the girl saved me."

Melissa said, "Jay and Scott are coming to the hospital. They'll take care of this mess."

Noah rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Alright." He looked at Isaac. "Tell Derek he owes the town twelve grand in property damage—caused by you and that girl. Tell him to pay, or I'll come looking for him."

Noah turned and walked away, calling the deputy. "Johnson, let's go."

Melissa and Isaac entered the room and closed the door behind them. Melissa walked to the girl on the hospital bed. "Okay, stop pretending to be unconscious. What's your name?"

The girl opened her eyes. "Braeden."

Melissa nodded. "Okay, let me see." Her eyes glowed green as she examined Braeden. "Alright. You have a few broken ribs and a few nasty bruises on your body. But you're lucky you met me."

Melissa placed both hands over Braeden, and a green light appeared from them, enveloping Braeden's entire body and healing her completely.

Braeden sat up, feeling no pain, her body lighter than ever. She looked at Melissa. "How? What are you?"

Melissa just smiled and turned to Isaac, her eyes still glowing green. "You're not fully healed. You're still bleeding from the inside."

She waved her hand, and the green light enveloped Isaac's body. A minute later, she stopped. "Alright. You're fine now."

Braeden stood up. "Thank you for healing me." She looked at Isaac. "We should leave this place. They'll come for us."

Melissa shook her head. "No. You'll stay here until Jacob and Scott arrive. And don't worry—with me here, no one can touch you."

Braeden's voice was urgent. "You don't understand. They're all alphas."

Isaac shook his head. "No, you don't understand. If Jacob and Scott are coming, then there's no need to worry. This place is the safest for us." He looked at Melissa. "Besides, this woman is so strong. Before she used her powers, I thought she was just a normal human. But when she healed you and me, I felt it—she's terrifyingly strong. Way stronger than Derek and all those people in that old bank."

Braeden looked at Melissa, who was wearing a lady's suit and didn't look like a doctor or a nurse. "Who are you?"

Melissa took off the nano-mask she always wore when coming to the hospital to make herself look old. Isaac and Braeden watched in shock as Melissa became younger.

Melissa smiled. "My name is Melissa McCall. I'm—"

Isaac cut her off. "You're Scott's sister?"

Melissa laughed. "No. I'm his mother."

---

Jacob and Scott arrived at the hospital. After parking the car, they entered the building and headed for the elevator.

Just before the elevator doors closed, a blind man wearing sunglasses and holding a walking stick entered. He stood beside them.

"Can you hit the button for the second floor, please?" he asked.

Scott said, "Sure," and pressed the button.

The blind man smiled. "Thank you."

Jacob looked at the man with a smirk. 'It's Deucalion. The Demon Wolf. He feels strong—way stronger than Peter or any werewolf I've met before. But he's not as strong as I thought he'd be. What should I do with him? I don't want to kill him. I liked his character when I watched the show. Although he wasn't a good person in season three, he was a good person before Gerard betrayed him, and after season three, he became good again. I hated the way they killed him off in the show—I mean, how could one of the strongest werewolves be killed by that rookie hunter Monroe? That was bullshit.'

Scott looked at Jacob, who was staring at Deucalion. "What's wrong?"

Jacob said, "Can't you feel it, you idiot?"

Scott frowned. "Feel what?"

Jacob shook his head and said nothing.

They reached the second floor, and Jacob and Scott were about to leave the elevator when Deucalion put his walking stick in front of Scott. "You wouldn't mind helping me out for a second, would you?" He placed his hand on Scott's shoulder.

Scott sighed. "Sure."

Jacob said, "No. We're not helping him. We're busy."

Scott said, "Don't be rude, man."

Jacob's voice was sharp. "Shut up, you idiot. That man needs no help. He's an Alpha werewolf."

Scott stepped away from Deucalion. "What? I don't feel a thing from him."

Jacob shook his head. "Even if you can't feel his aura, can't you tell he's a werewolf by his scent? I'm beginning to seriously doubt you're actually a werewolf. You need to train some more."

He looked at Deucalion. "Deucalion, let me give you a piece of advice. Whatever you do, don't let your mutts make a mess in this hospital. Otherwise, the owner will get upset, and I'll have to deal with you. Or worse yet, she'll send her crazy butler after you. And believe me, you don't want that."

Deucalion's eyes glowed red behind his sunglasses as he studied Jacob. "Kid, who are you?"

Jacob smiled. "You'll find out soon enough." He walked out of the elevator. "Scott, let's go."

Scott followed, leaving Deucalion alone, staring at Jacob's back until he disappeared into another corridor.

---

Jacob and Scott entered Braeden's hospital room.

Jacob ignored Isaac and Braeden and hugged Melissa. "Hey, beautiful." He gave her a passionate kiss.

Isaac watched with wide eyes, shocked to see Jacob kissing Scott's mother.

Scott sighed. "Come on, guys. You can kiss each other when you're alone."

Jacob and Melissa didn't care about Scott or the others in the room. When they were done, Melissa put on her nano-mask and changed her appearance to look old again. "Alright. I need to go back to work. And remember—don't fight in my hospital."

Scott said, "We won't."

Jacob said, "See you later, love."

Melissa smiled. "Bye." She left.

Jacob looked at Braeden. 'She's beautiful, but not my type. I feel nothing toward her.'

Scott asked, "Jacob, quit staring at her and tell me—who was that man in the elevator?"

Jacob turned away from Braeden. "His name is Deucalion. An Alpha of an Alpha pack. Also known as the Demon Wolf. He's the one who kidnapped Derek's betas."

Scott frowned. "Why did he kidnap Derek's betas?"

Jacob said, "He wants Derek to join his pack. And he'll force him to kill all his betas before he joins him."

Scott's brow furrowed. "But why kill them, though?"

Jacob explained, "An Alpha's strength is normally tied to his pack—the larger the pack, the stronger the Alpha. The same applies to Betas; the bigger the pack and the stronger the Alpha, the stronger they become. But Deucalion discovered a darker path—he discovered he could kill his own Betas and absorb their power. Instead of strength in numbers, it's strength through slaughter. That's how he became the Demon Wolf—he locked that stolen strength from his betas permanently into his own body."

He continued, "And he took it further. He formed a pack entirely of Alphas, forcing each of them to kill their own Betas, funneling the power of entire packs into himself. He doesn't just want Derek, Scott. He wants Derek to absorb his Betas' power first—so Deucalion can take all of it later. Do you understand now? Deucalion is the Alpha of strong Alphas who have already absorbed their own packs' powers, which makes Deucalion, as their leader, exponentially stronger."

Scott said, "I see. Then why didn't you deal with him?"

Jacob shrugged. "Why should I? He didn't do anything to me. You go kill him. He kidnapped your ex."

Scott shook his head. "Nah. I'm going to save her, and that's it. I won't kill for her."

Braeden said, "You two do realize you're talking about the Demon Wolf and his pack, right?"

Both Jacob and Scott looked at her. "So?"

Braeden's voice was incredulous. "He and his pack are very strong. You just said it."

Scott waved dismissively. "To you, maybe. But I can kill them with a slap of my hand. And Jacob doesn't even need to touch them."

Braeden shook her head. "I don't know where your confidence comes from, but he's here for you too. Not just Derek."

Scott's eyes narrowed. "He's here for me? Why?"

Braeden explained, "Because you're an Alpha too—or at least have the potential to be one. And not just any Alpha—a True Alpha. Deucalion wants you in his pack."

Scott asked, "How does he know I have the potential of a True Alpha?"

Braeden shrugged. "I don't know. I was hired to rescue Derek's betas and inform you to be careful. That's it."

Scott smirked. "It seems wherever Deucalion is getting his news, his sources are outdated."

Jacob smirked as well. "Yeah. I want to see the look on his face when he realizes he bit off more than he can chew coming after you."

Braeden said, "I don't know if you two are really strong or just stupid teenagers."

Isaac said, "They're very strong. I can tell you that."

Jacob said, "Alright. Enough chit-chat. Let's go."

---

They left the hospital and met a tall, muscular werewolf in the parking lot.

Braeden panicked. "Be careful—that's Ennis. He's from Deucalion's pack."

Jacob glanced at him. "Scott, deal with him and let's go." He walked to the car.

Ennis rushed forward without a word, eyes blazing red, claws bared, fur rippling along his jawline.

Scott didn't shift. He simply stepped forward into Ennis's path.

Ennis swung at his chest. Scott caught his wrist mid-strike and held it firm, then drove a punch into his chest that sent Ennis flying backward. He slammed into the wall, crumpled to the ground, and coughed violently, unable to stand.

Scott glanced at Deucalion, who was watching from behind an ambulance with two women. He smirked at them, gave a quick wink, and walked over to Jacob.

Braeden was shocked. Isaac, having already seen Scott's strength, wasn't too surprised.

Jacob said, "Alright. Isaac, Braeden—squeeze in the back seat of my car."

Isaac and Braeden got into the back of the Aston Martin DB5. Jacob got into the driver's seat, Scott in the passenger seat, and they drove to Derek's loft.

After they left, Deucalion said, "Kali, go help Ennis."

Kali went to Ennis and helped him up. "Are you okay?"

Ennis nodded. "I'm fine. I was careless. That kid is very strong. But next time, I'll teach him a lesson."

Kali said, "Alright. Let's go."

They walked back to Deucalion and the other woman.

Deucalion looked at the woman beside him. "Marin, tell me who that kid Jacob is."

Marin said, "I don't know him very well. I only worked at Beacon Hills High for two months before summer break. All I know about him is that he's a rich playboy and very close to the Argents. He's dating the Argent little girl, and I've seen him talking and laughing with Victoria Argent—she didn't seem to mind him dating her daughter and other girls. He's also very close to Scott."

Deucalion's voice was flat. "That's all you know about him?"

Marin nodded. "That, and other normal teenager stuff—getting in detention a lot, fighting, and beating students in school."

Deucalion said, "I want you to find out everything you can about him."

Marin agreed. "Okay."

Deucalion asked, "Who is the owner of this hospital? Do you know?"

Marin said, "Yes. It's Scott's mother—Melissa McCall." She paused. "Do you want to kidnap her?"

Deucalion shook his head. "No. It's just that kid Jacob warned me not to mess around in the hospital, otherwise the owner would get so pissed that Jacob would have to deal with me."

Marin frowned. "Deal with you? That kid is just a normal human."

Deucalion's voice was thoughtful. "I don't think so. He knows who I am, and he didn't seem to care at all. And when he warned me—or more like threatened me—I could tell he wasn't trying to scare me. He was stating a fact. If I caused any disturbance in the hospital, I would pay with my life."

Kali said, "So we're not going to go after Scott McCall?"

Deucalion shook his head. "No. Until I know who that kid Jacob is and figure out why Scott is so strong that he beat up Ennis with a single punch, we won't go after Scott or his mother. For now, let's focus on Derek and the mess you created by not killing your emissary Julia."

Kali shut her mouth and didn't dare say another word.

Deucalion said, "Marin, you said Scott works at your brother's clinic. I want you to find out everything you can about Scott from your brother."

Marin's voice was hesitant. "I'll try. But you know how stubborn my brother is."

Deucalion's voice hardened. "Try harder. If he's stubborn, I'll give him a visit myself. Now let's get out of here."

Chapter 238: Cora Hale

August 24

Jacob, Scott, Braeden, and Isaac arrived at Derek's loft. Derek opened the door, his expression a mixture of relief and tension as he let them in.

They entered and found Peter sitting on the stairs, a knowing smirk on his face.

Jacob settled onto the couch and looked at Peter. "Hey, Peter. Are you staying out of trouble lately?"

Peter said, "I am. But I'm guessing I'm about to get into some serious trouble tonight."

Derek ignored his uncle and focused on Isaac. "Where have you been? I called you and Boyd so many times, but none of you answered."

Isaac's voice was tired. "We found Jackson and Tracy yesterday, but Boyd got caught by Deucalion and his pack." He glanced at Braeden. "I was going to get caught too, but she saved me."

Derek's eyes narrowed. "Why didn't you call me yesterday?"

Isaac's voice carried an edge of defensiveness. "I lost my phone. And even if I hadn't, Braeden and I were stuck in the hospital. Escaping from an Alpha pack isn't exactly easy. They tore me up—and the wounds wouldn't close. I was out cold until four hours ago. When I finally woke up, I could barely speak. Scott's mother healed me a few minutes ago—and she healed Braeden too, who was in even worse shape."

Derek looked at Braeden. "Thank you for saving him. But who exactly are you?"

Braeden's voice was steady. "I'm a mercenary. I was hired to save your three Betas, but Deucalion's pack was way stronger than I thought. Not only did I fail to save them, but now Deucalion has four of them, not just three."

Derek frowned. "Four? Didn't you save Isaac? I'm only missing three Betas: Tracy, Jackson, and now Boyd."

Isaac shook his head. "When Boyd and I found Jackson and Tracy, there was another girl with them. And before you ask—I don't know her."

Derek's jaw tightened. "Anyway, tell me where they are. We're going to rescue them now."

Isaac said, "It's an abandoned old building downtown."

Braeden added, "They're locked up in the abandoned Beacon Hills First National Bank. In a vault."

Derek's voice was firm. "Then let's go rescue them." He looked at Scott. "Are you going to help?"

Scott nodded. "Sure."

Peter stood up, his expression serious. "Be smart about this, Derek. We can't just go storming in—even if Scott goes with us."

Derek shot him a look. "If a mercenary got in and out, and she's just a normal human, so can we, Peter. We're going tonight."

He turned to Braeden. "Do you know how many are in Deucalion's pack?"

Braeden nodded. "Yeah. There are five: Deucalion, Kali, Ennis, and the twins, Aiden and Ethan. And by the way, the twins are both Alphas who can merge into a giant werewolf."

Peter let out a low whistle. "You heard that, Derek? We're up against five Alphas. All of them killers. And if that's not enough to scare your testicles back into your stomach, remember—Deucalion is what they call the Demon Wolf. There's no way we can win."

Derek's eyes darkened. "So what? Am I supposed to just let the three of them die?"

Peter sighed dramatically. "They were sweet kids. I'm sure they'll be missed." He looked at Jacob. "Unless he goes with us—and maybe brings his two mean girlfriends as well."

Derek turned to Jacob. "Can you help?"

Jacob smiled. "I'm coming. But you don't need to be so anxious—Scott is enough to beat Deucalion and his entire pack. And I don't think Deucalion will be there anyway."

Derek frowned. "How do you know?"

Scott explained. "We met them at the hospital. They came for Isaac and Braeden, but I beat one of them, and Deucalion just watched without doing anything."

Jacob added, "They probably won't be going back to the bank because they know we're heading there—since both Braeden and Isaac know that place."

Derek's voice was urgent. "Then we better hurry. What if they got there and moved Tracy and the others to another location?"

Braeden spoke up. "There's another thing I need to tell you. The one who hired me told me that Deucalion's plan was to keep your betas from feeling the full moon for months, then trap you with them in that vault so you would kill them."

Derek's face darkened. "Not feeling the full moon for months will weaken their tolerance to it. And when they finally feel it after all that time, they'll not only lose control—they'll become more savage, more aggressive, and much stronger."

Braeden continued. "That's not all. Since you found them earlier than you were supposed to, my employer told me that Deucalion has a backup plan. He's got blood monkshood, and he plans to use it on them. I don't know what blood monkshood is, but my employer said you would."

Scott asked, "What is blood monkshood?"

Peter descended the stairs and leaned against the wall, his expression grim. "Blood monkshood, crimson wolfsbane, or red aconite—it's a rare strain of wolfsbane that only grows when a normal wolfsbane seed falls beneath the corpse of someone whose body rejected the Alpha's bite and died from it. The wolfsbane that grows under those conditions mutates, and the flower that blooms from it is blood-red. Its effects on werewolves and all canine shapeshifters—except Alphas—are catastrophic."

He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in.

"Once it's in a Beta's system, it drives them completely rabid. They become hyper-aggressive, unnaturally strong, and utterly uncontrollable. They'll attack anything that moves until the poison burns out—or someone puts them down. And on a full moon, it's even worse. The effects become amplified, turning them into engines of pure destruction." He looked out the window. "And in case you guys didn't notice, tonight is a full moon."

Scott frowned. "Well, that's troublesome."

Derek's voice was heavy. "Indeed."

A system window appeared in front of Jacob's eyes.

[Quest Available: Host can sign in after rescuing Cora Hale.]

Jacob dismissed the window. 'Nice. But I'm worried about Cora now. I've never heard of this blood monkshood.'

He stood up. "Okay, Scott, Derek—let's go. There's no time to waste. The twins weren't with Deucalion at the hospital, so they might be in the bank."

Derek nodded. "Peter, Isaac—you stay here. I don't want you two getting poisoned by the crimson wolfsbane."

Peter said, "Sounds good to me."

Derek looked at Braeden. "You're welcome to stay here too. I don't know who hired you, but I'm still grateful for saving Isaac. I'll pay you when I come back."

Braeden shook her head. "No need. I already got paid. Besides, I failed my mission."

Derek opened his mouth to respond, but Jacob cut him off. "Enough. You can talk to her after we come back. Let's go."

He put both hands on them and teleported them directly in front of the Beacon Hills First National Bank—he had driven by it many times and knew exactly where it was.

Derek glanced at the dark, abandoned building. "Should we sneak in or something?"

Jacob shook his head. "No need. Let's just walk in."

They walked in and went straight to the vault.

Jacob focused his senses but couldn't feel anyone except Cora and Derek's betas in the building.

When they reached the vault, they found it wide open. However, as Derek attempted to step inside, he was stopped by an invisible force.

Derek's voice was tight. "It's a mountain ash barrier. We should have brought Braeden with us."

Jacob said, "I can break it, but it seems we're a bit late. Look inside."

Scott and Derek looked inside the vault and saw Boyd, Jackson, and Tracy standing inside, growling at them. A canister in the middle of the vault was releasing red gas.

Derek's voice was filled with dread. "Damn it. They already used the crimson wolfsbane."

Suddenly, another figure emerged from behind a pillar—a girl, also growling, but with a hint of control in her eyes.

She locked eyes with Derek and, through clenched teeth, warned, "Derek... don't break the barrier."

Derek's eyes widened. "Cora?"

Scott looked between them. "You know her?"

Derek nodded, his voice full of shock. "Yes... she's my sister. My younger sister."

Scott frowned. "What's she doing here?"

Derek said, "Like I have a clue. I thought she was dead."

Cora struggled to remain in control, her breaths ragged. "Derek... I haven't felt the moon for two months. And I don't k-know... what is that red s-smoke... but it's making me... lose control."

She barely finished before she completely lost control. With a roar, she charged at Derek—but was suddenly thrown back by the mountain ash barrier. She fell to the ground, growled, and got to her feet. She attacked Jackson, slashing him with her claws. Boyd and Tracy joined the fight as well, and the four of them started attacking each other.

Scott said, "So we have to beat them until the poison burns out?"

Derek nodded. "Yes."

Jacob smiled and put his hand on Derek's shoulder. "Don't worry, brother. I'll take care of Cora. You and Scott take care of the others."

He teleported the three of them inside the barrier. "Scott, when you guys are done here, destroy the barrier yourself. Just use force or burn it."

Jacob then slapped Jackson, who came charging at him, sending him flying and crashing into the wall. He focused on Cora, who was also charging at him now.

Jacob opened his arms with a wide smile. When Cora got close and tried to slash his throat, he hugged her. "Let's go somewhere else to fight, gorgeous." He looked at Scott and Derek. "See you guys later."

He vanished with Cora.

Derek kicked Boyd away and said, "Cora will be fine, right? He's not going to kill her."

Scott pushed Tracy away toward Jackson, and she and Jackson started fighting. "Your sister will be fine. But it seems you'll become Jacob's brother-in-law."

Derek shrugged. "As long as Cora is okay with dating him despite knowing he has multiple partners, I don't mind."

Scott blinked. "Seriously?"

Derek's voice was matter-of-fact. "I know Jacob is the reason his girlfriends, you, and Stiles are very strong and have those strange abilities. So, like I said—as long as Cora doesn't mind being with him, I don't mind either. I'll even advise her to be with him, because he'll keep her safe and make her stronger."

Scott shrugged. "Well, that's none of my business." He turned to the three betas who were fighting. "Now, let's deal with these guys."

Derek said, "First, throw that canister out of the vault—or better yet, burn it."

Scott threw the canister—still releasing red smoke—out of the vault and hit it with a Firaga spell, causing it to explode.

Then the two of them started beating Tracy, Jackson, and Boyd. They hit them harshly but made sure not to threaten their lives.

---

Jacob appeared in the Beacon Hills Preserve with Cora.

He released her and pushed her away.

Cora growled and attacked him again.

Jacob started fighting her—or more like playing with her. He blocked all her attacks, and from time to time, he would hit her and send her crashing to the ground.

Jacob looked at her face. "Your appearance when you shift isn't good. We'll have to work on that later. You either only let your eyes glow and fangs grow, or shift into a beautiful furry form. This half-human, half-wolf face is ugly. You look like an orc from The Hobbit."

Cora just kept attacking like a rabid animal.

After playing with her for an hour, he decided it was enough. He put her on his shoulder and spanked her a few times hard, which made her become even more enraged. He put her down and hugged her from behind. Cora struggled to free herself but couldn't. Then she bit his arm but couldn't break through his skin.

Jacob used his healing touch. White light spread from his hands and enveloped Cora's entire body.

After a minute, the light faded after detoxifying Cora from the blood monkshood's poison. She calmed down but didn't let go of Jacob's arm—and was still biting it.

Jacob smiled. "I know you're back in control, so let go of my arm—or you're going to break your teeth."

Cora bit even harder.

Jacob said, "I see. You want me to spank you some more."

Cora immediately let go and got away from him. She turned to him with a glare. "Who are you, you pervert?"

Jacob gave her a charming smile. "I'm your future husband."

Cora shifted back to normal and yelled, "Who wants to be the wife of a pervert like you? Do you think I didn't feel everything you did to me? Although I lost control, I was aware of what was happening. You pervert—you touched my breasts! You squeezed my ass!"

Jacob coughed awkwardly. "You felt that?"

Cora's voice was sharp. "Of course I did!"

Jacob said innocently, "I'm sorry. I didn't do it on purpose. I was just trying to save you."

Cora's eyes narrowed. "I don't believe you. You could have used that white light to heal me from the beginning, but you didn't—so you could molest me."

Jacob's voice was righteous. "Hey, I just saved you from yourself. But instead of thanking me, you're accusing me. You could have killed those guys who were stuck with you in that vault, then killed your brother too. And what if you managed to escape from the vault? How many people do you think you could have killed?"

Cora thought about what Jacob said, then sighed. Her expression softened. "I'm sorry. Thank you for helping me."

Jacob smirked. "Just saying thank you isn't enough—not after hurting my feelings and calling me a pervert after I saved you."

Cora's eyes narrowed. "What do you want?"

Jacob smiled. "A kiss. Not on the cheek—on the lips. A French kiss."

Cora's voice was flat. "Damn it. I knew you were a pervert."

Jacob shrugged. "So, are we going to kiss or not?"

Cora glared at him. "What do you think?"

Jacob shrugged again. "I thought it was worth the shot. Besides, I'm not exactly eager to kiss you—you reek. Ever heard of a shower?"

Cora's eyes glowed. "Damn it. I'm going to kill you."

Jacob smiled. "Calm down, girl. And if you don't believe me, take a sniff of yourself. You really do smell bad."

Cora shouted, "I was imprisoned for more than two months in that vault! There was no toilet there, let alone a shower!"

Jacob raised his hands. "Okay, my bad. I know a river close by. How about we go there and take a bath together? I'll scrub every inch of your body clean."

Cora started taking slow steps back, then darted with all her speed into the woods, running away from Jacob.

Jacob smiled. "I think I teased her too much. She might hate me now."

He teleported and appeared in her path, leaning on a tree. "Where are you going in such a hurry?"

Cora skidded to a halt and glared at him. "What do you want from me?"

Jacob said, "Okay, I'm sorry. I was just teasing you." He walked toward her, making her back away. "I'll stop playing around. So don't run away again. And in case you haven't realized yet—you can't run away from me, and you can't beat me. So if I meant you any harm, there's nothing you can do about it."

He raised his hand. "I'll cast a cleaning spell on you and give you some of my clothes." His eyes moved around her body. "Your clothes are torn and missing a few parts. I can almost see everything."

Cora looked down at her chest and saw that it was almost exposed. Her pants were also torn. She crossed her arms to cover herself and glared at Jacob. "And whose fault is that?"

Jacob said, "Not mine. I didn't tear your clothes. That happened in the vault when you were fighting Tracy."

He stepped closer and cast a cleaning spell. Cora panicked at first, then felt herself fresh and clean after the white light faded. She relaxed a bit and looked at Jacob with curiosity. "Who are you, exactly?"

Jacob smirked. "I already told you—I'm your future husband."

Cora's voice was flat. "Be serious."

Jacob's expression softened. "My name is Jacob Alexander. I'm a supernatural creature. I live in this town, and I'm kind of friends with your brother."

Cora asked, "What kind of supernatural creature are you?"

Jacob smiled. "You have to become my wife to know that."

Cora snorted. "I'm not that curious."

Jacob chuckled. "That's a lie. But anyway, about my payment for rescuing you—how about going out with me? That's not too much to ask, right?"

Cora thought for a moment, then said, "Okay, I guess."

Jacob smiled. "Great." He hesitated, then said, "But I have to tell you now—I have other girlfriends."

Cora's eyes widened. "What? Then forget about going out with me."

Jacob said, "Give me a chance, okay?"

Cora's voice was sharp. "What about your other girlfriends?"

Jacob's voice was sincere. "They're not my girlfriends—they're actually my wives. We're married. I'm talking about the supernatural kind of marriage. I have a mating bond with them. Like a werewolf seeks a pack, my kind seeks females and has multiple wives. But I only marry special women."

Cora's voice was dry. "I should feel special, then, huh?"

Jacob nodded. "I told you because I didn't want to hide that from you. And being with me can make you stronger than you can ever imagine. You wouldn't be losing anything." He struck a pose. "Besides, look at me. I'm the most handsome man in the universe."

Cora snorted. "I don't know about the most handsome, but you're definitely the most narcissistic guy I've ever met."

Jacob shrugged. "Anyway, think about it. I'll give you my phone number, and if you decide to give me a chance, give me a call."

He took out some of the girls' clothes from his pocket dimension—sweatpants and a sweatshirt—and handed them to her. "Here, wear these." He turned around.

Cora took the clothes, still wondering where Jacob had gotten them. She took off her torn ones and put on the ones Jacob had given her, keeping an eye on him, afraid he would peek.

After dressing, she said, "Okay. I've changed."

Jacob turned around. "Scott and Derek will take a while to beat Tracy and the others back to their senses. How about we go grab something to eat in town, then I'll take you to Derek's?"

Cora hesitated for a moment, then said, "Okay. I could eat."

Jacob was about to teleport them to town, then had a better idea. "Do you want to fly?"

Cora's eyes widened. "Fly?"

Jacob nodded. "Yes."

Cora smiled. "Okay."

Jacob walked to her. "I need to hold you. Do you mind?"

Cora said, "You can hold me. But no molesting."

Jacob hugged her and chuckled. "I won't molest you. I promise."

He flew high into the sky with his telekinesis, Cora in his arms.

At first, Cora was scared and hugged him tightly, but soon she relaxed and started enjoying the flight.

Jacob took them from the Beacon Hills Preserve to above the town and stopped in the air.

He asked, "Are you enjoying the flight?"

Cora said, "Yes. I've flown before on a plane, but this feels totally different." She frowned and glared at him. "Can you remove your hands from my ass?"

Jacob said, "Oh, sorry about that. I was afraid you would fall." He moved his hands from her ass to her back.

Cora snorted, then looked at the town, which looked small from their height.

Jacob said, "Alright, let's go down."

Cora said, "Can we stay here for a while?"

Jacob smiled. "Sure." He took out the flying carpet and made it grow to four square meters. He landed on it and put Cora down, but she was afraid to let go of him.

Jacob smiled. "Don't worry. You won't fall. And even if you did, I can always catch you."

Cora let go of him slowly and lay flat on the carpet. She slowly crawled to the edge after realizing the carpet was steady and started looking at the town.

Jacob said, "Let's eat here and consider this our first date."

Cora said, "I didn't say I would date a playboy pervert like you."

Jacob just smiled and said nothing. He took all kinds of food and drinks from his pocket dimension and placed them on the carpet. "Come. Let's eat."

Cora crawled to the middle of the carpet, sat down, and they both started eating in silence.

After they finished, Jacob lay on his back on the carpet, looking at the moon.

Cora lay beside him, a meter away, looking at the moon as well.

After a while, Jacob looked at Cora and found her asleep. He took a blanket from his pocket dimension and covered her, then moved the carpet above Derek's loft and lowered it close to the building.

He dismissed the system window that appeared, telling him the quest was successful and he could sign in.

He stayed there for two hours before Scott and Derek returned to the loft. Scott was carrying an unconscious Tracy, and Derek was carrying Jackson and Boyd—each on a shoulder.

Jacob shook Cora gently until she woke up.

She rubbed her eyes and looked at him, confused.

Jacob smiled. "Your brother is back at his loft. It's time for me to go back home."

Cora said, "Oh, okay."

Jacob stood up and helped her stand. He stored the carpet in his pocket dimension, took her in his arms, and teleported directly inside Derek's loft.

Derek came running to his sister the moment she appeared. Jacob released her from his arms, and Derek hugged her tightly. "Are you okay?"

Cora said, "I'm fine."

Derek's voice was thick with emotion. "I thought you were dead. I'm so glad you're not."

Cora hugged him back. "Me too."

After the two siblings broke their hug, Jacob took a phone and handed it to Cora. "Here. My number is on it."

Cora took the phone but said nothing.

Derek looked at Jacob. "Thank you for your help."

Jacob waved his hand. "It's nothing." He turned to leave. "Scott, let's go home."

After Jacob and Scott left, Peter also left after greeting Cora.

Derek took Braeden to a room to sleep, then went with Cora to another bedroom.

Cora sat on the bed, still holding the blanket Jacob had covered her with. "We'll talk about what happened to me after the fire and where I was. But first—can you tell me everything you know about Jacob?"

Derek sat beside her. "I don't know much about him, but I have to tell you first, before anything happens between you two—he has more than one girlfriend."

Cora nodded. "I know. He told me."

Derek nodded slowly. "Okay." Then he started telling her everything he knew about Jacob.
