Chapter 1910 - Ch: 65-73

Chapter 65: Absolutely!

Knock, knock~

Hearing someone knocking on the car window, Lisha immediately lunged toward the passenger seat, grabbed her garlic spray, and looked out the window nervously.

"Ma'am, I was wondering if you could give me a lift?"

Lisha was very wary and refused outright.

Through the car window, she couldn't tell whose voice it was, only that it sounded somewhat familiar.

Sean lowered his head and said with a look of regret, "That's a real shame. I guess I'll just have to fly back myself."

Lisha froze. Lying there in the car, she stared at the person outside the window, her mind going completely blank.

Just as Sean made a move as if to leave, she finally snapped out of it.

She immediately threw open the car door, jumped onto Sean, and burst into tears of excitement.

"I... I thought you were never coming back! Waaah~"

Gently patting her back, Sean comforted her, "I've really been busy. See, as soon as I finished, I rushed over here overnight."

"Mm! Sorry, I just... I missed you so much."

Sean felt quite helpless; he had come to see her last precisely because he knew it would be like this when they met.

He had originally planned to see her after returning from New Mexico, but after thinking it over, he decided to drop by; it wouldn't take much time anyway.

After getting into the car, Lisha's gaze never left him. She certainly couldn't drive like that, so he had to take the wheel himself.

With her staring at him constantly, Sean didn't quite know how to respond; she was far too passionate.

However, Lisha soon reminded Sean of the benefits of having a clingy girl.

In less than twenty minutes, they arrived at the bottom of Lisha's apartment building.

Feeling the car come to a stop, Lisha knew they were home.

But she still didn't look up; since the car had stopped, she could increase the range of her movements.

Sean lifted her up and said, "Ahem, let's head inside."

Lisha felt a bit sad, thinking she hadn't done well enough to satisfy Sean, and planned to make it up to him properly once they were upstairs.

It wasn't that Sean didn't enjoy it, but rather that the car was just too small.

Lisha quickly led Sean into the house. While in the elevator, she was terrified that a neighbor might see them and it would have a negative impact on him.

Once they stepped inside, Lisha let go completely. The car had indeed restricted her performance.

As if wanting to make up for her previous shortcomings, Lisha couldn't wait for Sean to try her in a field where she was more skilled.

Sean never refused a girl who was eager to show herself off.

Even if they played quite adventurously sometimes, he wouldn't refuse.

But just as Lisha pulled Sean onto the sofa, she suddenly stopped.

Without waiting for Sean to ask, Lisha quickly ran to a cabinet in the living room and laid two black-and-white photos face down.

Then she ran back quickly, tied up her hair, and took a deep breath.

"I'm going to start!"

...

Cough, Sean checked again and again... maybe a third or fourth time, who knows how many times they confirmed things, but Lisha was finally exhausted.

Even though it was still night, Sean flew away from the window.

Before leaving, he thoughtfully set the photos back upright.

...

New Mexico, outskirts, by a campfire.

Thor, the God of Thunder, was explaining the relationship between the Nine Realms and the World Tree to Jane Foster.

The firelight flickered between them, and the spark in Jane's heart for Thor also began to burn.

They talked for a long time, and Thor was very grateful to Jane for listening to him so much.

Ever since Loki told him a few days ago that his father had passed away, he had been filled with self-reproach and decided never to return to Asgard.

Jane's appearance brought him much warmth, making him feel much less lonely in a foreign land.

He also secretly decided that he must take good care of her; even without the power of Thor, he would protect her in the name of Thor Odinson.

Looking at Jane as she gradually fell asleep on the lounge chair, Thor pulled the blanket up for her, his gaze filled with softness.

But soon, his gaze became sharp. He quickly shook Jane awake and grabbed a wooden stick to stand guard.

"What's wrong, Thor?"

"Jane, didn't you say Earth has no magic, only science?"

"Yes, why?"

"Then, what is that in the sky?"

Jane followed Thor's hand and looked at the sky. A point of light, accompanied by bursts of sonic booms, was rapidly flying toward them.

This point of light was, naturally, Sean.

He hadn't expected to be traveling at night. It seemed he couldn't go to Lisha's house last next time.

Too clingy!

Most importantly, he had left his tracker at Lisha's house. Next time, he would definitely have Shuri add a tracker to his watch.

In the pitch-black night, Sean saw a flicker of firelight and thought about going down to ask for directions.

He landed gently in front of the campfire, controlling his force so well that the fire didn't even go out. He showed his most gentle smile and asked:

"Hello, could you tell me which way to New Mexico?"

This person's strength was very high, and his speed was even faster than when he used mjolnir; that was Thor's first impression.

If it were just himself, he wouldn't be nervous at all. Having fought for hundreds of years as the God of Thunder, what kind of scene had he not witnessed?

If Jane hadn't been by his side, he would have struck first out of respect.

"Jane, you go first!"

Thor pointed the wooden stick at Sean, standing guard while waving for her to escape.

Jane quickly grabbed Thor, afraid he would be beaten to death.

"Thor, don't get excited, he's a good person!"

Hearing Jane say this, Thor looked back at her and confirmed, "Do you know him?"

"Uh, probably everyone in America knows him."

Daisy, who was in the car nearby, heard the argument and immediately took out a taser and ran out, seeing the three people present.

One was Jane, her best friend, a good person.

One was Homelander, her idol, a very good person!

One was a stranger she'd known for a few days, holding a wooden stick against her idol—a bad person!

Fire!

It wasn't the first time she'd hit him anyway.

Under the taser, Thor, the God of Thunder, also went down.

"Oh my god, Daisy! What are you doing?" Jane quickly bent down to check on Thor's condition.

Daisy responded righteously, "He scared me again, and he was holding a weapon!"

It all happened very fast, so fast that Sean hadn't even figured out what the situation was.

"Uh, if it's inconvenient for you all, I'll just be going."

Hearing that he was leaving, Daisy quickly stepped forward to look at Sean closely, covering her face in excitement:

"You... you're really Homelander, right!"

"It's me. I just wanted to ask for directions."

Sean looked at the fallen Thor and Jane, who was struggling to lift him. He walked over, picked him up with one hand, and asked:

"Where should I put him?"

"Over here!" Jane ran to the back of the car and opened the side door.

After Sean put him inside, Jane said thank you and continued to look after him inside.

When lifting Thor, Sean finally recognized him, not expecting to bump into him halfway.

He recognized him because Thor looked very much like an Eastern star.

He hadn't missed a single one of that man's early movies and had benefited a lot from them.

Daisy stood to the side, holding her phone like a little fangirl. "Can I take a picture with you and upload it to Facebook?"

"Of course."

Sean smiled. Since his targets for this trip were all here, there was no need to rush to New Mexico.

It definitely wasn't because Daisy was pretty and had large breasts.

Chapter 66: I looked up Norse Mythology, and this is how it's explained.

That night, Sean Brooke also stayed with them in the wilderness. It wasn't until Thor woke up the next morning that the two finally greeted each other.

"Are you the god of Earth, Sean Brooke?"

"I'm a native Earthling, not a god."

Thor, being very familiar, put his arm around Sean Brooke's shoulder and looked at him with a smile, saying, "You're so strong, you're certainly worthy of being a god. By the way, I am Thor, the God of Thunder."

"Is that so? Impressive!"

"Hahaha, Jane!" Thor happily said to Jane Foster, who was driving in front.

"See? He definitely knows I'm Thor!"

Daisy, who was in the front row, had been observing Sean Brooke through the rearview mirror. Hearing Thor's words, she immediately rolled her eyes at him. "Sean Brooke was just being polite, and you actually took it seriously."

Jane Foster also glanced at Thor in the rearview mirror, smiled, and said nothing.

Thor looked unconvinced. He had finally found a witness, so how could he let himself be embarrassed in front of Jane Foster?

"Sean Brooke, my friend, tell them, am I not Thor!"

Thor was very confident because he believed Sean Brooke could definitely discern his identity. This was the mutual appreciation between strong individuals, Thor's trust in a powerful Earthling.

"Cough, he probably is."

"Because Thor is very strong, I can feel the power of lightning contained within his body, which is why I insisted on staying last night."

Thor's eyes were full of pride. He kept patting Sean Brooke's shoulder and shouted, "Good brother!"

The car was instantly filled with Thor's joyful laughter. This was the happiest day he had since arriving.

Not long after, the group arrived at their house, where they usually conducted astronomical research.

Daisy got out of the car and walked up to Sean Brooke, adjusting her hair a few times, nervously asking, "Sean Brooke, would you like to stay for breakfast?"

"Sure." Sean Brooke rubbed his stomach. "Perfect, I'm hungry too."

"Really? Then I'll go prepare it now!" Daisy excitedly jumped and left.

Jane Foster also looked at her helplessly. "She's your super fan. I hope you don't mind, otherwise, she'll be very sad."

"How could I? I love interacting with fans the most."

Sean Brooke smiled, then turned around to help them move some things from the back, without any pretense.

"Oh, your place here..."

Are all researchers' houses this clean? Why is there nothing?

It was better not to mention it, but as soon as it was brought up, Jane Foster's temper flared.

"Those Bandits stole it, and they haven't returned it to me yet. I don't even know who to sue!"

Thor was angry and indignantly said, "Exactly, Sean Brooke, do you have a way to get Jane Foster's things back? The instruments inside are very important to her. Consider it a favor you owe me."

When the instruments were mentioned, Dr. Erik and Daisy also gathered around, looking at him with anticipation.

"No problem!" Sean Brooke patted his chest. "Where are your instruments, or do you know who took them?"

Jane Foster quickly found a check and handed it to Sean Brooke. "His name is on here, or we can take you to find him when we eat later."

Sean Brooke took the note, and his eyes widened at the name; it was very familiar!

After a moment of thought, he remembered, took out his phone, and made a call.

One minute later...

"Alright, let's eat first. They'll send everything back later, not a single piece will be missing."

"Yes!"

Jane Foster and Daisy happily hugged each other, but for some reason, there was a significant distance between them.

They truly hadn't expected that they could actually get the instruments back.

Thor was also moved by their excitement. He wanted to hug Jane Foster, but Daisy was also there, so he could only hug Dr. Erik.

The atmosphere at the dinner table was great; the initial politeness between them had vanished.

And with Thor, the best icebreaker, it was hard for the atmosphere to be anything but good.

He didn't mention his past as Thor, acting as if the past was too painful to recall, and went to the kitchen to fry an egg for everyone.

Wearing an apron, no one could connect him to Thor.

Mid-meal, Agent Coulson arrived with a group of people. "Put everything back in its original place."

"Be careful, don't touch it. Never mind, I'll do it!"

Jane Foster and Daisy quickly stood up, delighted to see their instruments returned.

"Hey, Coulson, long time no see, how are you!"

Seeing Sean Brooke, Coulson sighed helplessly, completely devoid of the seriousness he displayed in front of outsiders.

"Why didn't you come straight over when you arrived?"

"Got lost."

Hawkeye Barton, who was behind, found this reason absurd, but Coulson was not at all surprised.

He pulled Sean Brooke aside, glanced at Thor, and said earnestly:

"That man definitely has problems. He's either a mercenary or a foreign individual, here to gather intelligence. His identity certainly isn't good."

Barton, standing next to them, also interjected, "Indeed, judging by his skills, he's definitely not an ordinary person."

He extended his hand, "Barton Clinton. Natasha Romanoff mentioned you to me."

"Is that so? Did she say bad things about me again?"

Barton smiled and didn't respond.

Coulson held his head, looking at the unreliable Sean Brooke, and suddenly felt relieved. "Forget it, let's go get Mjolnir and return to New York. As for this person, forget about him."

Sean Brooke followed Coulson's gaze and looked at Thor. "I know this person."

"Oh? You know him? Who is he?"

Coulson was a bit puzzled. He hadn't expected Sean Brooke to know someone from outside the country. He would have to investigate thoroughly now; he had originally planned to let him go.

"Thor, the God of Thunder, the eldest son of All-Father Odin, the first heir of the divine realm Asgard."

Barton covered his mouth and burst out laughing. Sure enough, what Natasha said was right; he really was interesting.

Coulson had initially wanted to tell Sean Brooke to stop messing around, but seeing his serious expression, and remembering that he rarely lied, he reconsidered.

Suddenly, he came to a conclusion that even he found absurd: he really was Thor!

"Hey, hey, Coulson, you're not actually believing him, are you?" Barton said playfully.

But Coulson's serious expression made him nervous too.

Sean Brooke added with a smile:

"By the way, Asgard is also the ruler of the Nine Realms. Earth is one of them. About two thousand years ago, they came to Earth, saw how backward it was, and didn't stay, returning home."

"But they still left legends in the Norse region, which is the current Thor."

Hearing this, Coulson's and Barton's expressions remained serious, unhappy about the fact that Earthhad rulers above it.

But Sean Brooke's last sentence made their eyes widen.

"Asgard can conquer the Nine Realms, so their strength goes without saying, but the most important thing is that they have the Bifrost Bridge."

"The Bifrost Bridge can not only transport all of Asgard's army to any location in the Nine Realms but also perform planetary strikes."

Coulson was somewhat disbelieving, making a circle with his hands and then splitting it in half. "Like this?"

"Uh, it could also be, *boom! crash!*" Sean Brooke mimicked it too.

Understanding the seriousness of the situation, Coulson instead calmed down.

As a professional Agent, he knew that in such circumstances, he needed to remain calm, and his gaze towards Thor became cold.

"We need backup. Let's control this Thor first, as a hostage!"

"Thank you for the information. By the way, how do you know all of this so clearly, Sean Brooke?"

Sean Brooke took out his phone, pointed at it, and said, "I looked up Norse Mythology, and that's how it's explained there."

Coulson froze, silently putting down his phone he was about to use to call Fury, wearing a 'motherf***er' expression.

Sean Brooke burst into laughter. Indeed, teasing these serious people was always fun.

He patted Coulson's shoulder and winked, smiling, "Don't be nervous, I'm here."

"So, what you said, is it true or false?" Coulson asked very seriously.

Regarding the fate of a Planet, he wouldn't be careless in the slightest.

"Perhaps, you'll know very soon."

Sean Brooke didn't answer directly. He walked up to Thor and the others, clapped his hands, and said loudly:

"Everyone, I'm going to Mjolnir's location now. Do you want to come and see?"

"Yes!" Daisy immediately responded.

Jane Foster rolled her eyes at her. Daisy couldn't hide anything, neither her thoughts nor her chest.

"Will we be bothering you?"

"No, it's fine. Thor, are you coming along?"

A trace of sadness flashed across Thor's face, and he forced a smile.

"Alright."

Chapter 67: I'm clearly a good person, so why can Captain America pick it up, but I can't?

The group drove quickly to a temporary Base. Coulson and Barton watched Thor with scrutinizing eyes the entire way.

But after watching him the whole trip, they couldn't see a single trace of the God of Thunder in Thor.

Thor was also a bit dejected in the car, only feeling slightly better after seeing mjolnir.

He walked generously to mjolnir, gently stroked its handle, and introduced it to everyone:

"mjolnir, the God of Thunder's Hammer, is made from the material of a collapsed star, combined with Asgard's unique magic metal Uru, and forged with all the might of the dwarf masters Brok and Sindri."

"It's not actually that heavy, but only the old me could lift it."

At this point, Thor sighed, then turned around and said with a somewhat arrogant tone:

"So, you all shouldn't waste any more time on it. Just let mjolnir rest here quietly."

Everyone around looked at Sean. If anyone here could move mjolnir, it would only be him.

Sean looked around and asked, "Have you all tried it?"

Coulson replied, "There's strong radiation near mjolnir, so I didn't let anyone get close."

Thor also walked back, patting Sean's shoulder earnestly, "I don't mean anything else. Perhaps you're very strong, but Mjolnir can only be lifted by Thor."

Sean smiled faintly at the corner of his mouth, walked to Mjolnir, "Oh, so according to you, whoever can pick up Mjolnir is Thor?"

Thor crossed his arms and shrugged very casually, "Pretty much."

"Then I'll have to try."

Sean's hand quickly gripped mjolnir, making Thor's heart tense.

Although he appeared relaxed, he was panicking inside.

The moment he gripped it, Sean knew he couldn't lift it. No matter how much strength he used, it was useless, as if mjolnir had absorbed it.

Although he had anticipated it, Sean was still a bit disappointed that he really couldn't lift it.

I'm clearly a good person, so why can Captain America pick it up, but I can't?

He glanced at his not-so-many Affection Points, steeled his heart, and invested all of them into the Biological Field.

Initially, Sean had a bit of a Biological Field, but this field was uncontrollable.

It was just a thin layer covering his body's surface, unable to extend outwards, like a passive skill that couldn't be actively used.

But after enhancement, Sean could clearly feel a layer of substance covering his body's surface.

After the enhancement and upgrade, this substance grew more and more, and Sean gradually gained control over it.

As the Biological Field attached to mjolnir, Sean immediately noticed that the object in his hand felt much lighter.

Seeing Sean's prolonged inaction, Thor let out a long sigh of relief and proudly declared, "Ahem, I told you, besides Thor..."

Thor fell silent, because Sean had already handed mjolnir to him.

"How about it, do you want to try again?" Sean smiled very sincerely.

Thor swallowed, looking at mjolnir with disbelief, his hand lifted, then dropped again.

"Never... never mind. If I can't lift mjolnir, then I'm not Thor."

Sean showed a very puzzled expression and asked in confusion:

"You are the God of Thunder, not the God of Hammers. What does it have to do with it?"

After saying this, Sean threw mjolnir back, but felt a bit of regret in his heart.

Tsk, still can't use it.

Sean picking up mjolnir just now was a trick.

Because the one who picked up mjolnir wasn't him, but the Biological Field supporting it. It's unclear whether it's because the field didn't gain Thor's power, or because...

Odin is still alive.

Hearing the familiar words, Thor was somewhat dazed, as if he saw his father.

Jane stepped forward and gently comforted him. Anyone could see that Thor was in a very bad mood at this moment.

Sean also sensed something.

[Suitable Affection Target detected: Sif]

His lips curled into a smile, and he immediately took off, looking around.

"Something's happening over there, I'll go first."

With that, he flew off directly. Thor snapped out of it, and the others immediately followed.

Meanwhile... those four were in for a tough time.

The Warriors Three and the goddess Sif landed here. Loki, far away in Asgard, immediately discovered them and sent the Destroyer to hunt them down.

While the four of them were searching for Thor in the city, the Destroyer descended.

After a discussion, they decided to block the Destroyer first. With such a big commotion, Thor would surely come if he saw it.

Sif told the three of them to attract attention, while she would ambush from the rear.

Even though they were outnumbered and planned an ambush, they were still the righteous side.

Their plan went smoothly because the Destroyer merely acted on a command: eliminate Thor and anything obstructing it along the way.

Moreover, even if the Destroyer had intelligence, it probably wouldn't pay any mind to the four of them.

A charged laser forced the three back. Seizing this opportunity, Sif leaped high from a rooftop, plunging a spear into the Destroyer's back and pinning it to the ground.

But before Sif could celebrate, the Destroyer's metal body surged, and it flipped over. Sensing danger, she immediately jumped away.

Sure enough, a laser shot from the Destroyer's face. If Sif hadn't dodged in time, she would be dead by now.

But the aftershock of that explosion still knocked everyone around back, and Sif felt a bit dizzy, her vision blurry.

Even so, she could clearly see the Destroyer striding towards her.

She forced her arms up, her legs no longer obeying her, so she could only move inch by inch with her arms.

But the speed was too slow, and the Destroyer's laser was already firing directly at her.

"Am I going to die?"

She knew that with her body, she absolutely couldn't block the Destroyer's laser cannon. Without a doubt, she would be annihilated here.

Not dying on the battlefield for Asgard, but dying by an Asgardian weapon, what a terrible end.

In a daze, she actually saw a person standing in front of her, as if to block this attack for her.

"Who is he? Get away!"

Sif didn't shout out these words in her heart before the Destroyer's attack landed.

There was no imagined double death. Sif looked at the person in front of her, her expression very surprised.

"Who is he? So handsome! Really handsome!"

Sean felt pretty good; his back was warm and comforting.

With a turn, he punched the Destroyer away, then reached out and pulled the woman on the ground up, asking:

"Are you alright?"

Sif didn't speak, her eyes a bit vacant.

Feeling the Destroyer getting back up behind him, Sean didn't ask for her name first.

"You guys leave first, I'll handle this thing."

Hearing this, Sif suddenly tightened her grip on Sean's hand and said nervously:

"The Destroyer is very strong, it's not something you can handle. Go find Thor, only he can defeat the Destroyer."

Sean helped her tidy her messy hair and smiled, "I'll be right back."

Chapter 68: I Don't Fly with a Hammer, I Can Carry Two

Sean Brooke's actions made Sif blush slightly.

Having been at war for so many years, she had never experienced such a small romantic gesture.

The men in Asgard were all simple-minded and muscular; how could they know what romance was?

However, this kind of romance also depended on the person.

Even if you were very handsome, to Sif, it would just be simple harassment. Female warriors also valued strength.

So, at this moment, with a handsome, powerful, and romantic person appearing before her, how could she not be moved?

While she was lost in thought, Sean Brooke had already engaged the Destroyer in battle.

Looking at the situation, hmm! It was a one-sided crushing.

Not far away, Thor and his group also drove over.

The Warriors Three, seeing this, stumbled over, looking happily at Thor.

Thor was also very happy to see his old friends. After hugging each of them, he asked, "My friends, I'm so happy to see you again, but you shouldn't have come. You know that, right?"

"Why? We came to take you back."

The smile on Thor's face disappeared, and his gaze no longer met theirs. He said dejectedly, "No, I'm not going back."

"Why?" The Warriors Three asked anxiously.

But they forgot that, apart from combat, the three of them had very poor coordination.

Their three mouths chattered a lot, so much so that even Jane next to them didn't understand, let alone Thor.

The three of them also noticed the problem and quickly pulled Sif over to let her speak.

Sif was still watching Sean Brooke fight when the three of them pulled her away.

Only after seeing Thor did she remember the purpose of their visit.

"Thor, Asgard needs you now. Loki is not a good king."

Thor smiled helplessly and sighed, "No matter how bad Loki is, he can't be worse than me, the one who caused my father's death, can he?"

Sif raised an eyebrow and asked, puzzled, "Thor, what are you talking about? Your father is still alive."

This sentence exploded in Thor's mind like a bomb, and all the questions he hadn't understood before suddenly became clear.

He had been deceived by Loki again!

Meanwhile, Loki, far away in Asgard, had no time to bother with him.

Looking at the projection of the Destroyer, Loki's face was constantly changing.

He hadn't expected such a powerful individual to emerge from a backward Planet; there must be a problem.

He immediately prepared to summon the Asgardian army to descend upon Earth, to make these backward people understand who the ruler was!

After understanding everything, Thor immediately rushed to where Sean Brooke and the Destroyer were fighting.

"Loki! I know you're listening!"

Loki, who was about to turn and leave, heard the voice and turned his head.

"Kill me, and then it ends. Don't come to Earth again!"

Loki looked at Thor expressionlessly, but his heart was greatly shaken. Was this still his silly brother?

It must be, otherwise, he wouldn't have failed to notice that the Destroyer was about to be beaten to death!

Sean Brooke was also very puzzled by Thor's monologue. He reached out and pried open the robot's face.

Strange, there's nothing here. Is it Asgardian magic? Interesting.

Thor then said to Sean Brooke, "Sean Brooke, this is my business. I will never implicate Earth, please rest assured. If I die, please help me take care of Jane."

Sean Brooke was in a mental struggle, at a loss.

You're saying this now that I'm about to dismantle the Destroyer; isn't it a bit too late?

He silently flew to the side. Since this was Thor's choice, he naturally had to respect it.

It definitely wasn't because he could take care of Jane, definitely not!

Loki hesitated for a moment, then manipulated the Destroyer to kick Thor away and follow up with an energy ray attack.

"No!"

Jane, from a distance, shouted loudly and was about to rush over, but Dr. and Daisy pulled her back.

"Don't worry, Thor will definitely be fine. Sean Brooke is still there!" Daisy comforted her.

Just as the energy ray was about to hit, the hammer from the temporary Base flew over and blocked the attack.

Thor, still unconscious, grabbed it with one hand, and instantly, thunder and lightning roared in the sky.

A bolt of lightning struck, and Thor officially made his appearance.

Although they had long believed he was Thor, when they actually saw him, Jane and the others were still somewhat surprised.

Thor flew into the sky, looking down at the Destroyer, continuously spinning the hammer in his hand.

Immediately, the sky was covered with dark clouds, thunder rumbled incessantly, and the surrounding clouds swirled in circles, like the eye of a typhoon.

Thor accelerated his hand, and the Destroyer was actually swept up by him.

Sean Brooke, still below, frowned and sneezed towards the sky.

Achoo!

In an instant, the dark clouds dispersed, and sunlight reappeared in the sky.

Thor was blown away by the sudden blast of air, and the Destroyer also fell down.

Sean Brooke stretched his muscles, grabbed the Destroyer with one hand, dismantled all its parts, and then swept it with Heat Vision. He didn't believe it could revive after that!

Soon, the Destroyer became motionless, and the light on its body extinguished.

Thor also flew back with his hammer, standing in front of Sean Brooke without speaking, while the others quickened their pace and ran over.

Sean Brooke sighed, scolding, "Thor, this is Earth. It can't withstand attacks like that, understand?"

Thor laughed heartily, patting his chest, "Understood, I'll be careful next time!"

Seeing that the two were not quarreling, Jane and the others felt much more relaxed.

The Warriors Three, however, were extremely surprised, and their gaze towards Sean Brooke was somewhat off.

When did such a powerful figure appear in Midgard? It felt like Thor couldn't even beat him.

After some thought, Thor still hugged Sean Brooke, smiling, "Our goal is the same, to protect this World, isn't it?"

"More or less, but this is my World."

With Thor's brain, he naturally didn't hear the difference.

"Haha, it's pretty much the same. From now on, we are allies. Whatever trouble you have, you can come to me!"

Then he looked at his companions, raised his hammer, and shouted, "We're going back to Asgard. It's time to have a good talk with my brother."

He pulled Jane into his arms, "Want to see that bridge I told you about?"

"Of course!" Jane said with a happy smile.

Soon, Thor, holding Jane, swung his hammer and flew towards a landmark in the wilderness, which was left behind when the Destroyer arrived. Calling Heimdall from there would be more effective.

Daisy bit her lip, swayed her body, and looked at Sean Brooke with hopeful eyes.

Sean Brooke smiled and opened his arms, "I'll take you."

"YES!"

At this moment, Sif suddenly grabbed Sean Brooke's other hand, "Take me too."

Sean Brooke generally didn't refuse those who offered themselves.

He immediately put his arm around her, "I don't fly with a hammer; I can carry two."

As for the others, they could only take Coulson's car to their destination.

Chapter 69: Of Course! We Are the Most Hospitable!

In the center of the wilderness, there was a circular symbol.

Sean waited for a little while, and Thor arrived.

"Wow, Sean, you really do fly fast."

"It's alright. By the way, Thor, do you need my help for this trip?"

Sean patted him on the shoulder and smiled, "We are allies!"

Hearing this, Thor was also very happy; he hadn't expected to meet such a well-coordinated ally this time.

"Thank you for the kind offer, Sean, but this is a family matter between me and my brother. I wouldn't want to trouble you. Next time, I'll call you to the battlefield with me!"

"It's a deal then!"

Sean looked at the other four, "Are they all going back with you too?"

"Yeah, why?"

Sean coughed, his eyes darting as he suggested, "I was thinking of having one of you stay on Earthpermanently as a link between us."

Quickly, Sean added, "If you're not willing, then forget it. It's mainly because we can't contact Asgard, but you guys can come over."

"Otherwise, we'll have to send Jane over, right?" As he spoke, Sean raised an eyebrow toward the other side.

Thor and she shared a smile.

After hearing the suggestion, Thor thought it was a good idea; that was indeed the case.

But he was a bit conflicted, looking at the four of them, not knowing who should stay.

"I'll stay. Those three are too stupid," Sif said, stepping forward proactively.

The The Three Warriors didn't object because they didn't want to stay on Earth anyway, and they secretly mocked Sif for being willing to stay in such a barren place.

Seeing Sif step out, Thor smiled and nodded, "Good!"

"Sean, I'm leaving Sif on Earth. You must treat her well."

"No problem!"

Sif looked at Sean, her eyes filled with curiosity.

When a woman starts to get curious about a man, it's the beginning of her falling for him.

Her reason for staying was simple: Sean was very strong, just like how she used to admire Thor.

A long time ago, when they were still in the God Realm, Odin had intended to set them up, but Thor was unwilling, and she couldn't say anything.

Now it was fine; there was actually a man in the Nine Realms stronger than Thor. Of course, she wanted to get to know him better.

Thor looked at the sky and shouted Heimdall's name loudly.

After shouting several times, the sky finally reacted.

A pillar of rainbow light fell, shining on the center of the circular symbol.

This made Coulson, not far away, a bit nervous; was this the weapon that could pierce through the Earth?

Thor breathed a sigh of relief, walked to Jane's side, and cupped her face. "I have to return to Asgardnow, but I promise you, I will return to your side."

"Is that okay?"

Moved by Thor's soulful confession, Jane passionately kissed him.

Daisy quietly stood nearby, her small hands not knowing where to go, stealing glances at Sean, looking very nervous.

"Ahem, I'm not leaving."

"I... I didn't mean that."

Daisy's face turned red, and she hurriedly ran back.

Not long after, Thor and the The Three Warriors stood in the middle of the rainbow and left.

"Coulson, send them back," Sean then whispered in his ear:

"She's Thor's girlfriend now, so be careful."

Coulson squinted his eyes. "I should be the one reminding you of that. I don't want Earth to be destroyed over a woman one day in the future."

Sean smiled; that possibility was not very high.

Because what gets destroyed definitely won't be Earth.

Sean walked over to the three of them and handed over a business card. "This is Coulson's business card. You can contact him if you have any problems."

Jane took the card without looking at it, her gaze still fixed on the sky.

Daisy stood to the side, pretending to speak for Jane, "Why don't you give us your own contact information?"

"I'm busy most of the time. Contact Coulson; he can handle many things. Trust me, he's very professional."

Daisy wasn't satisfied with this explanation, but she couldn't say anything.

She just pouted, looking unhappy.

"By the way, after you post our group photo on Facebook, tag me. I'll follow you."

After saying that, he flew away with Sif in his arms.

Daisy was stunned for a moment, then quickly reacted, hopping back into the car and giggling at her phone.

...

After searching on his phone for a long time, Sean finally found where his new home was. He almost wanted to just fly to the Hess Family Residence instead.

After all, this one is also called Sif.

"You stay here for a few days. After a while, I'll have them build the Asgardian Embassy, and then you can move out."

Sif looked at everything in the room with curiosity; none of these things existed in the God Realm.

"Why move out? I'll just live here, is that not okay?" Sif turned around and looked straight at Sean.

"Or is there already a mistress of the house here?"

Sitting on the sofa, Sif bounced a couple of times to feel the softness, then looked at Sean and continued:

"A sufficiently strong warrior can have as many women as he wants. We women of Asgard don't care about these things. Of course, if she minds, we can duel."

Sean agreed with these words and couldn't help but nod.

"I think you're absolutely right!"

Sif smiled knowingly. Sure enough, her decision to stay was not wrong.

Not only could she learn powerful combat knowledge, but she could also gain a powerful husband—much better than those people in the God Realm.

It wasn't Sif's fault for being so infatuated with Sean; any female warrior from Asgard would be smitten if they came here.

If they were rescued by a handsome man who could then pin the Destroyer to the ground and beat it, and was stronger than anyone else.

Probably by then, the dueling arena wouldn't even be able to fit everyone.

Although they could serve him together, they still had to determine the ranking of seniority.

Sif was only feeling lucky now—lucky that she met Sean first and didn't have to compete with a large group of warriors for him.

As for the women of Midgard, ha, would she care?

She, an active-duty Asgardian female warrior, would be afraid of weak Midgardian women? What a joke!

Sean found a set of Natasha's clothes in the room and handed them to her. "Go take a shower and change your clothes first."

Looking at the somewhat strange clothes in her hand, Sif was eager to try them.

She had seen other women wearing them over there and had wanted to try them for a long time.

Following Sean's hand to the bathroom, she looked around but couldn't find a spring.

Just as she was about to go out, she suddenly had an idea.

Opening the bathroom door, she stepped out with one long leg, then leaned out half her body, revealing her collarbone.

"Your bathroom... I don't know how to use it."

...

On the other side, while Sean was flying back, Natasha received a notification from Coulson.

He said a legendary Asgardian female warrior was staying on Earth permanently and was now heading toward New York with Sean.

She was stunned for a long while, and after making sure Coulson wasn't joking, she agreed and drove home.

As soon as she entered the door, she heard that Sean was already getting along very well with this Asgardian diplomat, and the other party was constantly praising how powerful he was.

Chapter 70: This woman's flexibility is really good!

There were many people who couldn't sleep that night, for example, Tony Stark.

It wasn't because of Thor, but recently, he had been troubled by Ivan's affairs and had no time to care about anything else.

Since Ivan started cooperating with Hammer, he began mass-producing Iron Armor and came up with many variations.

Like Army, Special Forces, Navy, Air Force, everything was there.

Ivan even made the armor wireless, which appealed even more to the Military.

Seeing that the World was about to fall into war because of the Iron Armor, Tony had no solution.

But it was at this time that Ivan suddenly came to his door.

Watching him land in his yard wearing the armor, Tony felt a mix of emotions.

Ivan, however, was much happier. Recently, all good things had come one after another, so many that he couldn't even find time to humiliate Stark, haha.

"Tony, I came here today to seek justice for my father."

"Seven days later, at Hart Island, I will use my armor to completely defeat you!"

"At that time, I will invite many people to watch, to make the name Stark disappear completely! You better not be afraid to come!"

Tony, on the other side, was confused, not knowing where he got the courage to compare armor with him.

However, he thought, this might also be an opportunity.

"Uh, in other words, you want to duel with me in seven days?"

"Exactly!"

"Then, if I lose, I lose my reputation and gain nothing, but if you lose, nothing happens to you?"

Ivan was speechless for a moment. He thought about it, and it seemed to be the case.

Although he despised Stark, he had to admit that he was doing better than himself.

Even though he had saved many people recently as the Brave Guardian, he had no way to surpass Tonyin reputation.

"Cough, then what do you want?"

Tony's mouth curled up as he crossed his arms and tilted his head to look at him.

"Let's add a bet. Whoever loses cannot make armor in the future. Of course, just can't make it. You can still continue to be your Brave Guardian, how about it?"

Ivan smiled disdainfully, understanding what Tony wanted to do, but he didn't care.

"Fine. If that's the case, I might spare your life in the end."

For this battle, Ivan didn't think he would lose.

With Vibranium armor, even if he stood still, Tony couldn't break his defense.

Tony, on the other hand, was even more confident.

He had seen the armor Ivan made. How to put it? It was probably only a bit better than the one he made in the cave. In terms of performance, he could outclass him by several blocks.

It wasn't as good as the Brave Guardian, at least the creativity was very good, although the creativity was also Sean's.

With this thought, Tony also discovered that his armor had many flaws in saving people, so he upgraded the armor model to Mark 43 in one go.

Among them, more than a dozen sets were corresponding to different disaster armors.

For example, Mark 34 'Left-handed', used for disaster relief, referring to the Brave Guardian, and not equipped with weapons.

Mark 36 'Peacemaker', used to quell riots, to deal with the incident in front of the White House before. In case there is a very serious parade in the future, this armor is very useful.

Basically, as long as there is a danger that may occur in daily life, he has developed a corresponding armor.

Even for Hulk, he had a corresponding armor.

That is the Mark 44 'Hulkbuster' armor that is almost finished.

So, Tony couldn't figure out how he could possibly lose, unless Ivan stopped acting like a human and went to beg Sean for a Nano-Vibranium suit.

Only then would he have a possibility of losing.

Mentioning Sean, Tony frowned. He did have a project for an anti-Homelander armor, but he was a bit at a loss where to start.

Sean's abilities were too comprehensive; there was absolutely no place to target. He could only wait and observe more in the future.

...

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fury read Coulson's report three times and still found it hard to accept.

Asgard, Thor, Odin... these words sounded even more absurd than Vampires.

Especially when Coulson mentioned the power of the Bifrost Bridge, he suffered from complete insomnia.

As the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., the thing he least wanted to see was something that could not be controlled.

A weapon of mass destruction like the Bifrost Bridge was the weapon Fury feared most in his heart.

You can hit me, but I have no way to fight back.

After hesitating again and again, Fury still believed that Earth could not sit and wait for death; it must have a weapon comparable to the Bifrost Bridge.

Soon, he thought of that thing: the Tesseract.

As long as they could make good use of the Tesseract, they would have a say when facing extraterrestrial forces.

As for the candidate to study the Tesseract, he also had a direction; he just needed to go find him next.

He would let Natasha fully understand the affairs of Asgard to prepare for the future.

Then, he looked at the most important team he used to protect Earth: the Avengers.

Fury's eyes were sharp. He stared at Sean's profile picture for a long time, not knowing how to arrange him.

Since it was a team, there must be a Captain. As for the candidate for Captain, he was very hesitant.

If it weren't for that message, Sean should be the best candidate for Captain.

"Director, we have found Captain America's body. Although it is incredible, he is still alive."

As Captain, there should be no one more suitable than him.

Moreover, with Sean's temperament, he was most afraid of trouble.

...

On the other side, at Sean's home.

Natasha had not forgotten the mission for coming here this time.

Taking advantage of Sif's blurred eyes and chaotic thoughts, she asked many things about Asgard.

This made Sean, who was underneath, feel somewhat uncomfortable.

It felt like she was treating him as some kind of useful torture device.

After Natasha finished interrogating—no, learning enough.

Sif also collapsed to the side, trembling, looking at Natasha with a very strange expression.

She should have ended long ago, but she was grabbed from behind by Natasha and couldn't get away.

As a female warrior of the Realm of Gods, where had she suffered such a loss? Next time, she must take revenge.

This time, she would just sleep first.

Natasha also let out a sigh of relief; tonight was not in vain.

Knowing many things about Asgard might be very useful in the future. It's just...

When Natasha saw Sean's furrowed brows, she knew that tonight could not end hastily.

She quickly leaned over and stared into his eyes, her left hand moving slowly, placing it on the watch on his right hand.

The meaning was self-evident: she would bring her to justice directly.

When Sif, who was woken up halfway through sleep, took a look, she realized that Sean was still relatively gentle to her.

Besides, this woman's flexibility was really good!

...

Just as Sif was trying to build good relations with Earth, a very big thing happened in Asgard.

The Bifrost Bridge collapsed.

And it was smashed by Thor with a few Hammer blows.

When the Bifrost Bridge collapsed, everything Loki had done was denied once again. With a heart full of despair, he took the initiative to let go and fell into the wormhole.

Since then, wars began to break out all over the Nine Realms.

Thor stood beside the wreckage of the Bifrost Bridge, looking in the direction of Earth, his eyes full of sorrow; he had already started missing Jane.

"Can you see her?"

Heimdall nodded, "Of course."

"Is she okay?"

"She is looking for you."

Thor smiled knowingly; this was perhaps the only thing worth being happy about tonight.

Chapter 71: Fan Benefits

The next evening, the Hero Meetup recording concluded.

"Everyone worked hard, thank you for your hard work!"

Millis bowed to every staff member, already displaying the demeanor of a major host.

Millis had been on a roll lately. Just yesterday, her signature program, Hero Meetup, was rated as the most popular talk show in America.

As the host of this program, her popularity had soared.

After recording her own shows, she would often participate in others' programs, and even some TV dramas and movies sought her out, asking for her thoughts.

Millis was truly in happy agony.

At this moment, Albert, the interviewee from earlier, walked over.

"Thank you for inviting me to this show, Miss Millis. I wonder if I could treat you to dinner?"

"No, thank you. I've recorded several episodes in a row and want to rest."

"That's a shame. I hope I'll have the opportunity next time."

After Albert left, a group of gossipy new colleagues gathered around, "Sister Millis, are you really not going? His emerald green eyes are so handsome!"

"Yeah, it's a pity he didn't invite me, otherwise, I would definitely go!"

"Right, and he's very kind-hearted. He opened many rescue shelters for stray pets."

Millis smiled helplessly, explaining that she was very tired and needed to go home to rest, and they finally gave up.

She knew that only the new girls would ask such a question. Hadn't the older employees from the beginning barely even looked at him?

These young girls had just graduated from university and hadn't seen much of the World, but that was fine too.

What if they became uninterested in other men after seeing Sean up close?

Millis also thought of her first meeting with Sean. Back then, she knew that it would be difficult for any other handsome boys to appear in her World.

After tidying up her belongings, Millis said goodbye to everyone and drove off downstairs.

Returning to her apartment building exhausted, just as she pressed the elevator button, a hoarse voice came from behind.

"Oh, isn't this the famous TV host, Miss Millis! Could I get an autograph? I'm a huge fan of yours."

Millis subconsciously reached into her bag for her pepper spray, thinking she had definitely encountered one of those disgusting fans, because this was right downstairs from her home.

This person must have been here for a long time, just waiting for her to return, and their intentions were definitely not pure!

Feeling the person behind her getting closer, as soon as Millis felt the distance was sufficient, she pulled out her pepper spray and unleashed a fierce spray.

Millis sprayed half a bottle without hearing any screams, making her wonder if she had bought a counterfeit product.

Sean wiped his face and said helplessly, "Isn't this your favorite line from before? You used to practice with me all the time about what to do when you meet a fan."

"You... you scared me to death!" Millis rushed into Sean's arms, continuously acting spoiled.

"Hmph!"

She was indeed tired, her whole body limp against Sean, feeling as if she would slip down if she didn't hold on tighter.

"Why weren't you waiting for me at home?"

Sean carried Millis in a princess carry into the elevator. "Hehe, I've prepared a surprise for you today!"

"A surprise?"

She didn't ask further; she would find out soon enough.

Upon entering, Millis saw the food and cake on the dining table, as well as many, many candles around.

Getting down from Sean, she walked to the center of the living room, looking at everything. She was very happy, but there was still some confusion in her eyes as she asked, "Is today... some special day?"

Sean walked up, took her hand, and spun her around. "Today is the day we celebrate our Millis realizing her wish."

Millis was a little bewildered at first, but as the video on the TV started playing, she covered her mouth and tears streamed down her face.

"I, Millis, will definitely become the most, most, most famous host in all of America!"

This excited declaration came from the TV, accompanied by Sean's clapping and echoing voice.

Exactly one year ago today, she had made a grand declaration to Sean, vowing to become a household name as a host.

Sean had also promised then that he would help her uncover the hottest news.

Two novices in the news industry, knowing nothing, envisioned their future on the sofa in her home.

Millis, with red eyes, looked at him and choked out, "You remembered all this time?"

"Mmhmm, I never forgot."

Millis buried her head in his embrace for a long time, unwilling to look up, letting out all her recent grievances.

They stayed like that, nestled on the sofa, quietly holding each other.

Just like before.

Millis was no longer the glamorous host from outside, and Sean was no longer the invincible Superhero.

Now, on the sofa, they were just two ordinary people.

...

The next morning, Millis woke up early.

Looking at Sean beside her, she smiled sweetly.

She felt so relaxed, as if the fatigue of the previous day was nothing, as long as he was still by her side when she woke up.

Moreover, he always reminded her what happiness felt like, just when she was about to forget.

Having him there was happiness.

When Sean woke up, he saw Millis looking at him.

He reached out and playfully poked her nose, "What's wrong, Miss Millis, the famous TV host?"

Millis playfully hit him, chiding, "Stop it, being a host is so tiring! Not only do I have to prepare my own show, but I also have to go on other people's shows. It feels bad to refuse since they're all industry seniors, and..."

Sean hugged her, quietly listening to her complaints, helping her release emotional stress.

However, seeing that she was smiling as she spoke, Sean felt much more relieved. As long as she was happy, that was all that mattered.

"Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Don't go to shows you don't want to. No one would dare to make things difficult for you; you have me."

Millis's eyes curved into crescent moons as she smiled, wrapping her arms around Sean's neck and murmuring:

"I'm a big celebrity on Facebook with 2 million followers, after all. Who would dare to make things difficult for me?"

"Ah, is this my fan benefit? I love it, I love it." Sean said, his hands already starting to seek out benefits.

Millis let out a proud huff, "I haven't seen you give any benefits to your fans yet."

Stopping his actions, Sean took his phone and opened Facebook to check how many fans he had.

"Wow, you actually have over 30 million fans!"

Millis looked up at him with envious eyes.

Sean hadn't expected so many either; it was far more than what the system had counted, he didn't know why.

He scrolled through the posts Hess had made for him, which were mostly pictures he had sent her, and some photos captured by reporters.

There were many comments under each post. Suddenly, he saw a somewhat familiar name, and clicking on her avatar, he remembered it was Daisy.

"What are you looking at?"

Millis noticed Sean was constantly looking at his phone and was about to turn to look with him.

Sean quickly tossed his phone aside and changed the subject, "Ahem, do you think I should also have a fan benefit?"

"I think you should. After all, you rarely interact with fans. Giving out benefits would make you more approachable."

Sean put an arm around Millis's waist, and they switched positions.

He leaned down and kissed her, "Then, I'll start by giving benefits to my biggest fan first."

Chapter 72: The Paper on the Window is Full of Holes, But the Window Remains Unopened

By noon, Sean planned to take Millis out for some shopping and a meal, treating it as a way to explore ideas for fan benefits.

Sean had already settled on his fan benefit: on Facebook, he would randomly select one fan to spend a day with.

Millis thought this suggestion was great too, as it would effectively bring Sean closer to his fans, especially since many of them had never met him in person.

Of course, she really wanted to enter the draw herself. However, given that their relationship had been covered by many media outlets, she decided against it to avoid any appearance of favoritism.

The two had always been colleagues before; who would believe nothing ever happened between them?

Just as Sean was leading Millis downstairs, someone called out to them.

"Miss Millis, what a coincidence."

"Mr. Albert? What are you doing here?" Millis frowned, asking in confusion.

Albert lifted the cat in his arms slightly and said calmly, "Someone told me there are many stray cats and dogs in this neighborhood. With the security guard's permission, I came in. I didn't expect to run into you."

"Oh, really? Well, we won't disturb you then."

Millis forced an awkward smile and tried to pull Sean away.

But Albert seemed to notice something, looking at Sean in surprise and exclaiming, "Hey, isn't this Homelander? Hello, I'm a big fan of yours!"

His words left Sean stunned for a moment, suddenly feeling like something interesting was about to happen.

"Hello, Mr. Albert. Just call me Sean."

Albert smiled brightly and naturally, his eyes drifting between the two of them as he said cheerfully:

"I didn't expect the rumors about you two to actually be true. I thought they were just baseless gossip."

Sean took Millis's hand, kissed her cheek, and said with a smile, "The rumors are pretty close."

The nature of their relationship was hard to describe—like a window covered in paper full of holes, yet the window itself remained unopened.

They had never officially declared their relationship in front of outsiders; it had always been left to speculation.

Now, Sean's sudden confession left Millis's mind in a whirl, unsure how to react or whether she should thank this Albert.

Albert smiled even more broadly, lifting the paw of the kitten in his arms and waving it as he said:

"You two really are a perfect match. Well, I won't interrupt your sweet time any longer! Say goodbye to them, little kitty."

After he left, Sean finally led the somewhat dazed Millis outside.

Even after getting into the car, Millis's mind was still a jumbled mess.

"Millis, we might have to postpone our outing today. I'll make it up to you next time."

Millis snapped back to reality and nodded. Although she didn't understand what was happening, she certainly wouldn't bother Sean when he had matters to attend to.

Sean leaned in, kissed her, and placed a watch on her wrist, instructing:

"Don't take this off, okay?"

"Okay!"

Seeing Sean's unusual behavior, she sensed something was off.

After driving for a while, Sean stopped at an intersection, got out of the car, and asked Sif to take Millis to stay somewhere else for a few days.

After giving a few more instructions, he let them leave.

Sean took off his glasses and rubbed his face, feeling as though his peaceful and comfortable daily life had been invaded by something strange.

"You could recognize me even with glasses on? Interesting!"

Glancing in the direction of Millis's home, Sean wasn't in a hurry to return.

Using his Super Hearing earlier, he had already detected something off about this Albert—his heartbeat was too steady.

From the moment Albert saw them emerge, his heartbeat hadn't changed at all, clearly indicating he was being controlled.

Although Sean didn't know the purpose of the person behind this, he didn't care. But since his mood had been spoiled, he decided to switch up his approach.

He immediately flew to the Hess Family Residence and asked her to investigate this Albert.

As soon as Hess heard what happened, she thought of one person: her sister, Dice.

Her blood magic allowed her to control those with weak wills.

She probably arrived in New York with that Easterner a while ago but had been lying low.

"Are you saying your sister Dice is behind this?"

Sean leaned back on the sofa, gave Hess's butt a firm slap, and suddenly felt the situation had become boring again.

She snuggled into Sean's arms, cooing, "If Albert was really being controlled, it's likely her doing."

"She probably hasn't done anything too bad yet, right? Could you let her off this once? I'll make sure to discipline her properly."

Hess kept rubbing against Sean, pleading for Dice.

"Hmph, since you put it that way, how could I refuse?"

"I love you so much!"

Sean kissed her and told her to go make the call.

Sean had always been very tolerant of Hess. Not only was she sensible, but she also knew how to handle things well.

Whether it was managing his social media accounts or taking care of Nora and Lisha privately, she handled everything flawlessly.

He believed that even if more people appeared in the future, she could arrange them in an orderly manner.

She could even categorize them—who could be together and who needed to be alone.

After a while, Hess returned.

"Sean, the Elder Council hasn't received any news about Dice returning, but it seems their people are being hunted recently. Since the numbers are small, they didn't dare bother you."

"As for Albert, he's the well-known chairman of a prominent stray animal protection association in New York. Both neighbors and family speak highly of him; nothing else suspicious turned up."

Hess nestled back into Sean's arms, somewhat embarrassed. "More detailed information might take a few more days to uncover. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful."

Sean comforted her softly, "It's fine. Just managing the logistics for me is already the biggest help."

"When you have time, you could visit this address. The girl named Lisha works there. I can help train her for you too, just like Nora. She's been looking forward to your next visit every day."

"First, let me relieve the frustration from being interrupted earlier!"

Hess's physical stamina was impressive, though still slightly inferior to Sif's. Even with something like the Blood Pool, it couldn't match the innate power of a god.

But aside from stamina, Sif couldn't compare to Hess in any other aspect.

Technique, flexibility, tone, even the look in her eyes—Hess was miles ahead of her.

In fact, among everyone, only Natasha Romanoff could hold a candle to her. The others simply fell short.

I wonder what this Dice is like. If she and Hess teamed up, could they achieve a synergy greater than the sum of their parts?

...

While they were cuddling on the sofa and in the kitchen, someone outside quickly knocked twice on the door and slipped a piece of paper through the gap.

Hess calmly picked up the note, returned to Sean, and asked what it said.

"Tomorrow night at seven, await your esteemed presence at the Rainforest Manor in Chinatown—Ten Rings."

"This 'Ten Rings' must be the Easterner Dice found. She's young and naive; I'll make sure to discipline her properly," Hess cooed.

"I'll leave her to you. As for this Ten Rings... hehe, I wonder if they'll be any fun."

Things have become interesting again.

Chapter 73: Homelander Must Be Extremely Anxious Right Now, Right?

In Chinatown, inside a magnificent manor, the security was tight. Whether in the open or in the shadows, many eyes were fixed on this place.

Inside the house, there weren't many people. Aside from guards stationed at key corners, only a few people remained in the main hall in the center.

A mature, handsome man sat on the main sofa; he was the leader of the Ten Rings, Xu Wenwu.

Not far to his right sat a woman with a pure face but bewitching eyes. Her mannerisms carried a hint of Hess, so she must be Dice.

The person sitting opposite them was not Sean, but someone with their head completely wrapped up, with a dull-looking Albert standing beside them.

Xu Wenwu smiled, pointed at him, and asked, "You want to cooperate with me to deal with Homelander, yet you don't even dare to reveal your true face?"

"Hehehe~ Don't be scared by my appearance."

The masked man removed the cloth wrap from his head, revealing a huge green head.

"You can call me, Dr. Blue."

Xu Wenwu and Dice didn't react much, just smiling faintly.

When they first brought their people into New York, a guy calling himself Dr. Blue contacted them, saying he already knew their target and offered to assist them.

At first, Xu Wenwu naturally didn't take it to heart, but later, Dr. Blue directly controlled all his subordinates to demonstrate his power, and only then did he take it a little more seriously.

People controlled by Dr. Blue didn't have any peculiarities; they were just like normal people, and he could control many people at once.

This put Dice in an awkward position; their abilities overlapped, and she couldn't compare.

"A green monster? What is your relationship with Hulk?" Xu Wenwu asked.

He hadn't come here without doing his homework; he knew there were only a few powerful people in New York, and he wasn't very afraid.

"Hehehe~ Hulk is my experiment. I will find a way to capture him, but for now, our target is Homelander. We must figure out the reason he became so strong."

Xu Wenwu looked thoughtful; indeed, the appearance of this Homelander was a bit too sudden.

Dr. Blue continued to cackle, "If a human wants to become strong, there must be a reason; it's always by borrowing some kind of external power."

"For example, Hulk, because of gamma rays; Stark, the Arc Reactor; you, the Ten Rings in your hands. But what about Homelander? He has absolutely no source of energy, so how is he so strong? This is unscientific!"

Dr. Blue was a bit manic. When he was just a normal person, he wanted to study the gamma rays inside Hulk and research the source of energy.

His original intention was good; he wanted to help Banner return to being a normal person.

But that day, after accidentally getting a drop of Hulk's blood on his head, he gradually became somewhat obsessed, wanting to understand all the power in this World.

Therefore, the first one he targeted was Homelander, this Superhero who was ridiculously strong without any prerequisites.

Xu Wenwu also looked at the Ten Rings on his arm; this was the source of his power. Without the Ten Rings, he was just an ordinary person.

He came to New York to find a way to resurrect his wife.

When Dice approached him, she introduced the Blood Pool, but the Blood Pool could only help the living achieve immortality; it could not resurrect the dead.

Still, it was okay. Once he resurrected his wife, he could just let her achieve eternal life with him.

As for dealing with Homelander, Xu Wenwu was not afraid.

On the contrary, if Homelander could be sensible and hand over the secret of his resurrection, he might even spare his life.

While investigating Homelander, Xu Wenwu also obtained the video of Sean saving people that night.

He believed that the Sean in the video must have already died, then came back to life for some reason, and gained immense power.

This was also his ultimate goal in coming to New York.

No matter the reason, even if Homelander said God brought him back to life, then he would have to tell him where God was!

Just like that, the two groups had their own agendas, but in the end, they decided to join forces. After all, the results they wanted didn't conflict.

"Tell me your plan, Dr. Blue. What if he doesn't come?"

Dr. Blue smiled disdainfully, "In this World, there is no one easier to deal with than a Superhero."

"Yesterday, I specifically had Albert approach them, just to let him know that I already knew who was the most important person in his heart. He will definitely come!"

"Didn't you see the startled expression on his face? Haha, and he even hurriedly found someone to move that girl away. Isn't that playing right into our hands! Hehehe~"

Dice also covered her mouth and giggled, not understanding why her sister would look for such a backer; his weaknesses were too serious.

Her judgment was better after all; this time, she had won!

Xu Wenwu also laughed out loud; he didn't expect his reaction yesterday to be so big, which truly amused them.

"Have you already captured that woman?"

Dr. Blue's laughter stopped abruptly, and he said awkwardly, "Uh, no, *ahem*, but it doesn't matter. He couldn't possibly kill us all."

"Homelander is just a 21-year-old brat; where would he have experienced the trials of society?"

"Right now, he must be extremely anxious."

...

At the gate outside the manor, a black sedan stopped, and Sean and Hess walked to the entrance arm in arm.

"Are there enough cleaners?"

"The Elder has come personally, ensuring that no news will get out."

Sean smiled faintly. It had been a long time since he had killed anyone. Who was it last time? It seemed to be a Vampire Hunter.

He wondered if the few people this time had cute and warm families.

Sean used his X-ray Vision to first determine the number of people inside; otherwise, it would be troublesome if a few escaped later.

A beautiful figure inside the manor did catch his eye for a moment; it should be Dice. She was indeed nice; the Elder Council hadn't lied.

However, what the hell was that big green head?

While Sean was puzzled, he suddenly felt that this thing would be good for taking the blame. It just so happened that the matter regarding Hulk hadn't ended yet.

Hmm! The mastermind behind the scenes, it's decided to be you!

As for the others, Sean also took a look around; there was nothing memorable. They probably weren't useful, so he didn't need to hold back and could just kill them directly.

Walking to the entrance, two men in black reached out to block them and asked, "Excuse me, do you have an invitation?"

Sean and Hess didn't stop, using two shots of Heat Vision to seal their mouths; they would never be able to speak again in this life.

The light from the Heat Vision was very strong, and people all over the manor discovered the problem, reporting it while gathering toward the main gate.

Their movements were all seen by Sean, and he was overjoyed.

He thought they would run; it would be troublesome to swat mosquitoes later.

Now it was good; they had actually gathered together. It was perfect; Sean hadn't tried what it felt like to sweep a crowd with Heat Vision yet.

A scene of purgatory unfolded before him, the painter naturally being Sean, and the brush being the Heat Vision in his eyes.
