Chapter 107: Allison vs. Peter
Peter stood up, wincing as he looked at Allison walking toward him. Green wind energy swirled around her body, and her eyes glowed with a fierce green light. He glanced around nervously, searching for Jacob, and called out loudly. "Jacob! Why is your girlfriend attacking me? Didn't you tell Derek that as long as I don't touch Chris and his wife, you wouldn't interfere?"
Jacob, who had been standing next to Derek, vanished and reappeared beside Chris and Victoria, startling them both. He offered them a calm smile in greeting, then turned his attention to Peter. "I didn't interfere, did I?" He said, his voice carrying easily across the clearing. "As for Allison... you just killed her aunt. So, deal with her yourself."
Peter's gaze turned back to Allison. "Kate killed my family!" He snarled. "She didn't just burn werewolves—she burned innocent humans, including children!"
"I know." Allison said, her voice cold. "But she was still my aunt. And even though I hate what she did, I'm still going to beat you half to death for killing her, and don't worry—Jacob won't help."
Peter let out a low, furious growl. "You want to beat me half to death, even though I had every right to kill Kate for what she did? All of you Argents are evil, just pretending to be good."
Allison snorted. "Someone like you has no right to call me evil. Didn't you kill your own niece for power?" A smile touched her lips. "Actually, this has nothing to do with Kate. Lydia beat you once, and she's been so smug about it. I want to show her that I can beat an Alpha werewolf, too."
Peter was momentarily dumbfounded. "So beating me is just a game to you? You think I'm a joke?"
"Yes." Allison said flatly.
Peter's glowing red eyes blazed with pure, incandescent rage. He let out another guttural growl.
Allison smirked. "Did I hurt your feelings?"
With a deafening roar, Peter lunged at her. But as he closed the distance, Allison simply took a deep breath and exhaled. A torrent of concussive wind erupted from her mouth, hitting Peter with the force of a speeding truck. He was flung backward faster than he had charged, crashing into the side of the Hale house. He smashed through a weakened wall, tumbled inside, and finally slammed to a stop against an interior wall.
Peter pushed himself up, shaking his head to clear the ringing. He grabbed his dislocated shoulder and shoved it back into place. Then he walked back out of the house, his expression now deadly serious.
Allison said. "I said I won't kill you. But if you don't use all your strength and fight back, you will end up dead. So show me how strong you really are, Peter Hale."
Peter glanced at Jacob one more time. Jacob merely shrugged. "Don't look at me. You can go all out. I won't help her, and I won't do anything to you, even if you win."
Hearing that, Peter didn't hesitate. His body twisted and expanded, bones cracking and reforming as he shifted into his full Alpha werewolf form—an eight-foot-tall beast of muscle, fur, and fangs. He dropped onto all fours and charged Allison, his speed turning him into a blur.
Allison didn't panic. She opened her mouth and unleashed another blast of wind. This time, the attack struck Peter but only slowed his charge, forcing him to skid back a few meters before he dug in and surged forward again.
Allison waved her hands, sending razor-sharp blades of compressed air slicing toward him. One caught him across the torso, tearing through fur and muscle to the bone beneath. He roared in agony, but the wound began to knit itself closed almost immediately. He dodged the remaining slashes.
Deciding to take the offensive, Allison coated her body with wind and crackling electricity. Her speed skyrocketed, surpassing Peter's.
Peter couldn't track her visually; she was too fast. Refusing to be a sitting duck, he broke into a frantic run, weaving and dodging as he desperately evaded her attacks and sought any opening to strike. It was futile.
Allison appeared at his flank and delivered a thunderous, electrified punch. The force sent Peter rolling violently across the ground until a tree halted his momentum with a sickening thud. For a few seconds, he could only twitch against the bark. Then, fury burning through the pain, he stood up and charged at her again.
Allison simply raised a hand. A shimmering, translucent barrier of energy snapped into existence around her.
Peter slammed snout-first into the barrier with all his momentum. The rebound sent him flying backward, landing hard on his back. He got up, snarling, and began savagely pounding on the barrier with his claws. Instead of breaking, the barrier repelled the force back into him, and his claws cracked audibly with each blow.
Lydia, Malia, Stiles, Scott, Cogman, and Erica walked from the darkness and stood next to Jacob.
Stiles said. "I didn't know Allison was this strong; she is toying with Peter."
Jacob said. "You haven't seen anything yet; if she uses all her strength, Peter will surely die."
Inside the barrier, Allison frowned slightly, looking at the fading sparks of electricity around her knuckles. 'My electrokinesis is still too weak. I need to work on that.' Her gaze shifted to the enraged Alpha circling her like. 'For now, let's stick with wind and try my new techniques.'
She took a steadying breath, and shifted into her fairy form. Her hair turned dark green, her ears became long and pointy, and freckles bloomed across her nose and beneath her glowing eyes.
She deactivated the energy barrier. Peter saw the shimmering wall vanish and immediately lunged, a blur of fangs and fury.
Allison raised her hand, index finger pointed at him like a gun, and a small, compressed bullet of air shot from her fingertip. It struck Peter in the shoulder, punching a neat, bloody hole straight through the muscle.
He flinched but kept charging.
Allison distanced herself and fired three more air bullets. They hit his thigh, his side, his forearm. Peter snarled, staggering under the barrage, fresh blood welling from the punctures.
Then, she brought her hands together in a sharp, thunderous clap, unleashing a blast of focused sound and air pressure. The wave hit Peter, stunning him and leaving his ears ringing.
While he was vulnerable and disoriented, Allison clenched her right fist. The air around it compressed violently, swirling and condensing into a gauntlet of shimmering, pressurized wind. She didn't step forward. She simply threw the punch from several meters away.
A spectral fist of air shot across the clearing and hammered into Peter's chest. A visible shockwave erupted on impact, and the sickening sound of cracking ribs echoed through the air as his chest visibly caved in. He was launched off his feet like a cannonball, crashing back-first into the thick trunk of a massive oak with enough force to shake the tree. He slid to its base, collapsing as he coughed up a thick spray of blood.
He pushed himself up on trembling limbs, raw panic now etching itself into his bestial features. 'What kind of monster is she? The only way to win is to get close, but she's too fast!'
"You really can take a beating." Allison observed, her voice calm. "Then how about this?"
She cupped her hands together before her, palms facing each other. The air from the surrounding forest seemed to be sucked toward her, pulled into the space between her hands. It condensed, whirling faster and faster into a small, unstable sphere that glowed with a dangerous green light.
As Peter turned to flee, Allison hurled the sphere.
The Wind sphere streaked across the clearing and struck him squarely between the shoulder blades.
It didn't push him. It detonated.
A localized whirlwind of a thousand microscopic, razor-sharp wind blades. It shredded through Peter's thick skin, and muscle in an instant. A raw, agonized howl tore from his throat as the explosive force threw him forward, sending him crashing face-first into the dirt.
He lay there, body twitching involuntarily, as his accelerated healing fought a desperate, losing battle against the countless lacerations. Allison didn't press the attack. She simply watched, and waited.
The pain was one thing. The utter humiliation was another. It ignited a final fury in Peter's core. With a guttural roar that was more pain than power, he shot to his feet, ignoring the blood streaming from dozens of wounds. He focused every last shred of his strength and speed into one final, desperate charge, claws extended for a killing slash aimed at her heart.
His claws passed straight through her torso. But he felt no impact, no resistance—only empty air. It was just a visual afterimage, a phantom. She had moved with such impossible speed, assisted by her wind, that she left a perfect, lingering illusion of herself behind.
Peter spun around, panting raggedly, and saw her standing calmly several meters away, a faint smirk on her lips.
He knew. It was over. He couldn't win. Survival was all that remained. Using the last dregs of his strength, he turned and bolted away, a wounded animal fleeing the hunter.
Allison didn't chase him. Instead, she raised her right hand, palm facing the fleeing Alpha's back. She concentrated, and the forest itself seemed to breathe with her. Winds gathered from every direction, converging before her, compressing and taking shape.
In moments, a massive, spectral tiger, comprised entirely of roaring, swirling green wind, stood where she had gestured. With a silent, predatory snarl, the Wind Beast leapt forward, moving with impossible speed.
Peter heard it coming—a roaring gale at his back. He tried to dodge, to zigzag, but the wind tiger moved with the fluid, agile grace of a real tiger, mirroring his every evasive move. It closed the distance in seconds, its maw opening wide.
It didn't bite down with teeth. It engulfed him.
Inside the form of the wind tiger was a vortex of pure destruction. Countless blades of concentrated air slashed at Peter from all sides. His remaining skin was flayed, his muscles were sliced into ribbons, and even his bones were scored with a thousand tiny, agonizing cuts.
Then, as suddenly as it had formed, the wind tiger dissipated, scattering back into a harmless breeze.
What fell to the forest floor was not the mighty Alpha werewolf, but a broken, barely recognizable figure. Peter lay motionless in a crimson circle of his own blood. His skin was peeled and torn, revealing glints of bone in places. He had reverted to his human form—naked, mutilated, and clinging to consciousness by the faintest, most fragile thread.
Allison stood over the broken, bloody form of Peter. "That's for slitting Kate's throat." She said.
Stiles swallowed audibly. "Note to self." He whispered. "Never, ever anger Allison."
Cogman walked over to Allison. "That was fantastic, my lady! I thoroughly enjoyed your fight!" As he spoke, he subtly positioned his foot and brought his heel down on one of Peter's outstretched, mangled hands, grinding it into the dirt.
A weak, guttural groan of pain escaped Peter's lips.
Allison rolled her eyes. "That's enough, Cogman. I see what you're doing with your foot. Let him be."
Cogman smirked, gave Peter's hand one last, vicious twist, and then stepped away.
Jacob turned to Chris and Victoria, who were still standing in shocked silence. "You should call your people to deal with the bodies of your hunters." He advised. "The town is still crawling with all kinds of people because of the Wendigo case. You'll want to be gone from here before anyone else shows up."
He then walked over to Allison, followed by Lydia, Malia, and Scott.
Erica made a move to follow, but Stiles caught her hand gently. "Don't." He said softly. "You can't see Peter clearly from here, but I can. He's a bloody mess. I really don't think you want to see him up close."
Jacob stopped beside Allison and looked down at the miserable Peter. Then he raised his voice. "Derek. It's time to take what you want."
Derek emerged from the shadows, his expression grim. He gave Jacob a short nod, then knelt beside Peter's ruined form.
Peter managed to tilt his head, a bloody, ugly smile stretching his split lips. "So…" He rasped, each word a struggle. "This was… cough… your plan all along. You used me to kill Kate… and asked them to beat me down… cough, cough..." His eyes glowed crimson. "Do it…"
Derek didn't hesitate. His claws flashed in the moonlight, a clean, deep slash across Peter's throat.
Peter choked, a wet, bubbling sound as his own blood filled his airway. The red glow in his eyes faded. In the same moment, a new, fierce crimson light ignited in Derek's eyes.
Seeing Peter was dying fast, Jacob moved quickly. He retrieved an expired Senzu Bean from his pocket dimension. But instead of feeding it to Peter, his own dragon claws extended. He drove his hand straight into Peter's abdomen, shoving the bean deep into his stomach. Withdrawing his bloody hand, he stood and ignited it with his fire ability to burn the gore away.
"What are you doing?" Scott asked, horrified. "He's already dying!"
"He's not dying anymore." Lydia said calmly. "Jay saved him."
Scott and Derek spoke in unison, stunned. "What?! Why?!"
They looked down and saw the horrific wounds on Peter's body were knitting themselves together at a visible rate. The vacant dimness in his eyes was replaced by a blue glow.
Jacob turned toward Stiles and Erica. "Stiles! Get your phone out and get ready to film the birth of another Rocket Man!"
Stiles's eyes went wide with instant comprehension. He fumbled for his phone, a huge grin spreading across his face. "Erica, let's go. This is gonna be fun!"
Jacob took a powerful flashlight (a daily reward) from his pocket dimension and tossed it to Scott. "Point this at him." He then covered his own nose and mouth with his sleeve, pulled out his own phone to record, and called out. "Girls, you might wanna take a few steps back!"
Allison, Lydia, and Malia wisely retreated. Stiles left Erica with them and walked over to Jacob's side, phone at the ready.
Derek, though bewildered by why Jacob would save Peter, shrugged. He'd gotten what he wanted. 'Good thing they didn't film me when I had to eat that healing medicine.' He thought, and pulled out his own phone to join the recording session.
Soon, all of Peter's wounds had sealed. He sat up, looking at his intact body in utter confusion. He turned to Jacob. "Why help…?"
Then, he felt it. A deep, ominous rumbling in his gut. His eyes went wide with panic. "What's going...?"
He never finished the sentence.
It started. A loud, prolonged, trumpeting fart erupted, echoing in the clearing. It was followed immediately by another, and then another.
Peter scrambled to his feet, his face a mask of horror and humiliation. He didn't say another word. He simply turned and sprinted naked into the woods, leaving a trail of audible blasts behind him.
Jacob, Stiles, and Scott exploded into uncontrollable laughter, doubling over.
Allison and the girls, who had wisely moved farther back, watched from a distance. Lydia wrinkled her nose. "Nasty."
Malia, however, let out a loud, snorting laugh. "I think it's funny! Look at him running butt-naked while farting!"
"Oh no!" Stiles cried between laughs. "He's running away! Jacob, kick him flying! We can't call him a Rocket Man if he doesn't actually fly!"
Jacob, grinning, handed his phone to Stiles. "Make sure you film him mid-air. Scott, keep the light on him. I'll send him flying back."
He vanished, teleporting directly into Peter path. As Peter, still farting, tried to skid to a halt, Jacob kicked him hard in the stomach.
Peter was launched into the air, soaring in a high arc back toward the clearing, his limbs flailing.
Stiles, Scott, and Derek tracked him with their lights and cameras, howling with laughter as the naked, farting ex-Alpha sailed over their heads like a comet. He landed with a heavy thud near the Hale house, rolled, scrambled up, and without a backward glance, dashed inside the ruined structure.
Jacob reappeared next to Stiles, still chuckling, and took his phone back.
As the last of the laughter died down, the familiar translucent system screen materialized before his eyes.
[ -You have witnessed Peter Hale turn Kate Argent. You may now sign in, Host.
-You have witnessed Derek Hale become an Alpha. You may now sign in, Host.
-You have saved Peter Hale. You may now sign in, Host.]
Jacob's smiled. 'System,' He commanded in his mind. 'Do all three sign-ins at once.'
Chapter 108 - The truce
Jacob commanded in his mind. 'System, do all three sign-ins at once.'
[Sign-In Successful. Rewards Obtained:
1. System Upgrade: New Function Available
-System Shop: Host can now purchase any reward previously obtained from Daily Sign-Ins. Food items from Event, Location, Quest, and Monthly Sign-Ins are also available for purchase.
Note: Other items (potions, abilities, bloodlines, etc.) require further system upgrades to unlock in the shop.
Currency: System Coins. Host will now receive a random amount of coins from Daily Sign-Ins. Rewards from Event, Location, Quest, and Monthly Sign-Ins that are unwanted can be sold back to the system for coins instead of being destroyed.
2. Telekinesis: The ability to move or manipulate objects with the mind, without physical contact.
3. Heat Vision: The ability to generate and project concentrated beams of intense thermal energy from the eyes.
4. Iron Man Mark 85: Tony Stark's final and most advanced nanotech suit from the MCU.
5. Dragon's Blood Essence Potion: A potent elixir made from the blood of an ancient dragon. When consumed, it strengthens your connection to your draconic heritage and permanently expands your energy reserves.
6. Dragon Egg.
7. Captain Jack Sparrow's Compass: A supernatural compass that does not point north, but toward the thing its holder most desires at that moment.
8. Hulk Serum x20: A stabilized serum made from the Hulk's blood, with all harmful side effects removed. Imparts immense superhuman strength and renders the user's skin impervious to small-arms fire.
9. Spartan Laser x10 (Halo): A heavy directed-energy weapon that emits a sustained, high-powered crimson laser beam capable of vaporizing infantry and light vehicles. Possesses unlimited internal energy and does not require recharging between shots.]
Jacob read through the list, his excitement growing with each item. 'Excellent. Telekinesis and Heat Vision are both powerful abilities. The dragon potion must be incredible—last time, just a drop of essence made me significantly stronger. I can't wait to see the boost now.'
He focused internally. 'System, can I drink the Hulk Serum?'
[Yes, Host. However, it is unnecessary. After consuming the Dragon's Blood Essence Potion, your physical strength will be enhanced to a degree that renders the Hulk Serum's additive effects negligible. It will provide no additional benefit to you.]
'I see.' Jacob thought. 'I'll save them for the girls, then.' He continued his mental review. 'The System Shop is a great addition, though I wish I could use normal money. The Mark 85 is perfect for Cogman. The Spartan Lasers are cool. I wonder what kind of dragon will hatch from that egg. And I've always wanted Jack Sparrow's compass…'
"Jacob." Derek called him, but Jacob was too absorbed in his system interface to notice.
Stiles nudged him in the ribs. "Jacob!"
Jacob blinked, the translucent screens fading from his vision. "What?"
"Derek is talking to you." Stiles said, jerking his thumb toward the new Alpha.
Jacob turned. "What did you say?"
"Thank you. For your help." Derek said.
"Don't worry about it." Jacob said with a dismissive wave. "By the way, I need you to do me a favor right now."
Derek's posture stiffened slightly. "What do you need? If I can, I'll do it."
"Relax, it's nothing too difficult." Jacob assured him. "I just need you to give Erica the Bite."
Derek frowned. "Who is Erica?"
Jacob looked over to where Erica was standing nervously with Lydia, and Malia. "Erica, come here."
Erica walked over, and stood close to Stiles.
Derek studied her, then looked back at Jacob. "Does she know the risks?"
"She knows." Jacob confirmed. "And remember, even after the Bite, she isn't part of your pack. Don't get any ideas. She's my friend, and under my protection."
Derek said. "Alright, but you'll have to teach her control if she survives."
"Don't worry about that. Just give her the Bite." Jacob said.
Derek stepped up to Erica. His eyes flashed red. "Give me your arm."
Erica extended her arm, trembling slightly. Derek's fangs lengthened, and he bit down firmly into her forearm. Erica winced, sucking in a sharp breath but didn't cry out.
As soon as Derek released her, Jacob took out a roll of bandages from his pocket dimension. Stiles immediately took them and began gently wrapping the bleeding wound on Erica's arm.
---
Not far away, Allison was standing with her parents. Victoria watched the scene with clear disapproval. "Allison, why is Jacob helping that girl become a monster? Doesn't he know the boy Peter turned ended up killing his own parents?"
"He knows, Mom." Allison said patiently. "But Erica has epilepsy. Becoming a werewolf will cure her. Besides, don't worry. We'll teach her control."
Chris studied his daughter's face, his own expression troubled. "You don't seem very upset about Kate's death."
Allison stepped closer, lowering her voice. She hugged both her parents and whispered directly into their ears. "Kate isn't dead. Jacob says she's still alive. She's… changing."
Both Chris and Victoria stiffened, their eyes widening in shock.
Chris's voice dropped to a hushed, urgent whisper. "You mean Peter turned her? With his claws?"
Allison nodded, still whispering. "Yes. Tomorrow she'll wake up, healed, and as something new. And we all know she isn't the type to follow the Hunter's Code and take her own life." She pulled back slightly, looking her father directly in the eyes. "So the choice is yours now, Dad. You can kill her… or let her live. I think you should let her live. I'll talk to her. Hopefully, she can change and use her new powers for good. Let's give her a chance. What do you think?"
Chris didn't need to think long. The grief of believing his sister was dead had been a tangible weight; the possibility of her survival, however complicated, lifted it. "I guess… we can give her a chance." He said, his voice thick with emotion. "I already watched her die once tonight. I can't go through that again. Despite everything she did… she's still my little sister. And I do love her."
Victoria looked at Allison. "Did you forgive her?"
"I don't know." Allison admitted, her voice soft. "But when I heard her last words when she thought she was dying, and when I saw Peter slit her throat and believed she was dead… I was heartbroken for few seconds, before Jay told me she was still alive, that pain made me realize how much I still love her. I don't want her to die."
Chris sighed. "I suppose this outcome is a punishment more fitting for her than death. When Gerard finds out she's become a shapeshifter, he'll despise her. He'll try everything to kill her himself. She'll never get what she truly wanted—his pride, approval, and love. She'll have lost everything."
"Speaking of Gerard." Allison said, her tone turning serious. "I really hope you can stop him from provoking Jay when he comes to town. Because Jay really hates him, and he'll kill him without hesitation."
"Why does Jacob hate him, anyway?" Chris asked.
"I have no idea." Allison said with a shrug. "And honestly, I don't like him either. He's the one who made Kate into the monster she became. I hate him for that."
Despite their hushed tones, Derek's enhanced hearing picked up every word. His gaze drifted to Kate's motionless form, still lying on the ground covered by Allison's jacket, a mix of old hatred and new conflict in his eyes.
Jacob's voice cut through his thoughts. "If you want to live longer, don't even think about killing her now. Allison already gave you and Peter your chance for vengeance. Instead of killing her, stupid Peter—like an amateur Alpha—slashed her throat with his claws and turned her. So drop the thought. Allison won't stand aside this time, and I won't help you."
Derek let out a frustrated sigh. "As long as Kate doesn't come after me, I won't attack her. I just hope Allison won't blame me for defending myself."
"Allison isn't unreasonable." Jacob reassured him. "She understands self-defense."
"By the way," Derek asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. "why did you save Peter?"
Jacob grinned. "Just a whim. I might need a high-quality punching bag someday. That's why I saved his life. And since we're on the subject, watch yourself—he'd stab you in the back without a second thought the moment he gets the chance."
Derek nodded grimly. "I won't trust him."
He then looked toward the Argents, his posture tensing. "I need to talk to them. Can you help?"
"Sure." Jacob said. "Let's go."
They walked over, with Lydia, Malia, Scott, Stiles, and Erica trailing behind them.
As they approached, Chris immediately raised his gun, aiming it at Derek.
Derek raised his hands. "I'm just here to talk."
Before Chris could speak, Allison stepped forward. "We're listening."
Derek met her gaze. "I want your family—and Kate—to stop hunting me."
"You know she's still alive?" Allison asked.
Derek gave a single, stiff nod. "Yes. And as I told Jacob, as long as she doesn't attack me, I won't attack her. After what happened tonight… let's consider the debt between the Hales and the Argents paid. We're even."
"Even?" Chris snapped, his grip tightening on his gun. "You killed twenty of our people tonight!"
"And your sister burned my entire family alive." Derek shot back, his voice cold.
Allison placed a gentle hand on her father's arm. "Dad. Be reasonable."
Chris glared for another moment, then the fight seemed to drain out of him. "Fine."
Derek continued, his tone earnest. "I give you my word. I won't harm innocent people. I intend to protect this town, like my mother did."
Victoria studied him, her eyes sharp. "So you're planning to build a pack."
"Yes." Derek confirmed without hesitation. "I will teach them control, and if one of them takes an innocent life, I'll kill them myself."
Allison held up a hand. "First, answer me one thing truthfully. Why were your eyes blue before? If you're not a cold-blooded killer, I'll guarantee my parents won't attack you."
Derek's eyes narrowed slightly. "Are you sure you can guarantee that?"
"If you don't trust me," Allison said, a hint of a smile touching her lips. "then you should trust Jacob. He's kind of your friend."
Jacob, who had been watching the tense exchange with detached amusement, suddenly found himself in the spotlight. "Whoa, hey, Allison, don't drag me into this." He protested, holding up his hands. "Look at your mom. She's definitely planning to kill Derek, and Peter, and maybe even Kate. And if she could, I think she'd try to kill me, too. So I can't exactly give Derek my word that I'll protect him from a mean woman like her."
Victoria narrowed her eyes at Jacob, then a slow, dangerous smirk spread across her face. "Since I'm so mean," She said sweetly. "then Allison, you are not allowed to stay with Jacob at his house anymore. You will come home before dark every single day."
Jacob's playful demeanor vanished. "You can't do that. Allison is my wife. My house is her home. You can't keep her away from me."
Victoria's smile widened. "I can, and I will. Unless… you kill Derek for me. Right now."
Jacob nodded, his expression turning eerily serious. "Alright." He turned his head slowly toward Derek, his eyes beginning to glow a menacing gold. "Sorry, man. For my happiness, I have to kill you."
Derek panicked, stumbling back a step. Jacob took a predatory step forward, a wicked smirk playing on his lips.
Scott suddenly jumped between them, his arms spread wide. "Jacob, you can't kill him!"
Jacob's glowing eyes shifted to Scott. "So you want to stand in the way of my happiness, too? I don't mind beating you before I kill Derek."
Scott paled, his bravado crumbling.
Just then, Allison reached out and smacked Jacob firmly on the back of the head. "Stop scaring them, you idiot!"
Jacob's sinister expression melted into a grin, and the golden glow faded from his eyes. He patted Scott's shoulder. "Relax, I was just joking. I can't believe you actually thought I was going to kill Derek."
Scott scratched the back of his head, his face flushing with embarrassment. "Sorry. You sounded really serious."
Stiles, who had been watching the whole exchange with glee, complained. "Allison, why'd you stop him? If you'd let him scare them a little longer, one of them might've actually peed their pants!"
Allison rolled her eyes at Stiles, then turned back to Derek. "Mom and Jay were just joking."
Derek let out a long, shaky breath he hadn't realized he was holding. The tension in his shoulders eased slightly. He met Allison's expectant gaze and finally gave her the truth she'd asked for. "My eyes turned blue because I killed an innocent person."
"That's not the whole truth." Lydia said, her voice holding the certainty of a banshee. "I can feel it."
Allison's expression softened from suspicion to something more probing. "Tell me what really happened."
Derek closed his eyes for a moment, the forest around him fading as he was pulled back into the past. "I was about your age." He began, his voice low. "I was in love with a girl. Paige. But Peter… Peter convinced me that she would hate me if she ever found out what I was. And because I was young and stupid, I let him talk me into a solution—turning her. I knew my mother would never allow it, but Peter had a plan for that, too." His jaw tightened. "I tried to stop it. I realized it was wrong, but I was too late. An Alpha bit her. Her body… it rejected the bite. It caused her unimaginable agony. In the end… she begged me to end her suffering. So I did."
"I'm sorry." Allison said, her earlier sternness gone, replaced by genuine sympathy. "I'm sorry for making you remember that. My parents won't attack you, Derek. Not as long as you keep your word and don't hurt innocent people. But you should be wary of Gerard when he comes. And if he attacks you…" She met her father's gaze briefly, then looked back at Derek. "…you have every right to defend yourself. You can even kill him."
"Allison!" Chris interjected, shocked.
"What?" Allison shot back, her tone firm. "Gerard is a monster who deserves to die. If you really want him to live, Dad, you'll tell him to never set foot in Beacon Hills."
Jacob stepped forward. "Alright. That's enough. Derek is under my protection as a friend. Chris, Victoria, the hunting stops here." He turned his golden gaze on the new Alpha. "Derek, don't let your new powers turn you into a monster. And keep an eye on Peter, and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."
Just then, a figure emerged from the shadow of the Hale house. Peter, now clad in scavenged clothes from one of the fallen hunters, walked toward them.
Derek walked to meet him halfway. "Where are Mike and Oliver?"
"Dead." Peter replied flatly. "Both of them got shot in the chaos."
"Then let's go." Derek said, turning to leave.
Peter stopped, a cold, mocking smile touching his lips. "Did you forget? You just slit my throat and stole my power."
"No." Derek said, turning back to face him, his crimson eyes glowing faintly. "I didn't forget. I took back what was always meant to be mine, and lucky for you, Jacob saved you. You should be thanking him."
Peter's gaze flickered past Derek to where Jacob stood with the others. "Why did he save me?"
Derek shrugged. "He said he might need a high-quality punching bag someday. So he saved you." He gestured toward the woods. "Now, are you coming with me, or are you staying here to see if the Argents feel like finishing the job?"
Peter said. "No. I'm leaving. I'll… thank Jacob some other time."
With that, the two of them left.
Jacob tilted his head, his enhanced hearing picking up distant engines. "Let's go home, everyone. I can hear vehicles approaching."
"Who is it?" Allison asked.
"The clean-up crew I called." Chris answered.
"Alright, we should go." Allison said, walking over to where Kate's body lay. "I'm taking Kate with me. I need to talk to her when she wakes up and teach her to control herself."
Chris nodded. "Okay. We'll come visit tomorrow."
Allison slung Kate over her shoulder, and with a final nod, she and Jacob's group left.
Chapter 109 - Powering up Part 1
While Jacob and his group were walking through the woods, heading back to the mansion, Lydia suddenly stopped, her head tilting as she stared intently into the deeper, darker part of the forest.
Everyone halted. Jacob followed her gaze, and a deep, instinctive unease settled in his gut.
Allison noticed the serious looks on both their faces. "Lydia, what's wrong?"
"I sense dead people that way." Lydia said, her voice barely above a whisper, yet it carried clearly in the quiet night. "Several of them. And I can also feel something else… something coming. Something evil and dangerous. If we don't stop it, a lot of people are going to die."
Malia said. "How dangerous?"
Lydia looked directly at Jacob, her expression grave. "Very dangerous. As if there's a creature there as strong as Jay."
Malia blinked. "As strong as Jay? That's impossible!"
"I don't know if I'm right or not." Lydia admitted. "But that's just how I'm feeling."
"I can feel it too." Jacob said. "I don't know if there is a strong creature there or not, but I can sense a massive concentration of energy building deep in the woods." He turned to the group, his expression turning stern. "Guys, go home. I'll go see what's there and deal with it if I can. If I can't, I'll just escape."
"No," Allison said firmly, stepping closer. "We're going with you."
"It's too dangerous." Jacob said. "Please, just go back home."
Lydia crossed her arms. "We're going. And even if it is dangerous, we can always teleport to Serendell."
Stiles, who had been listening with wide eyes, raised his hand. "What's Serendell?"
"Our other home." Jacob explained, not taking his eyes off the dark tree line. "It's hidden in another dimension."
Stiles's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? Then why haven't you invited us? I want to see it!"
Jacob was in no mood. "Maybe I'll take you there some other day. Right now, let me get you, Erica, and Scott, back to the mansion."
Stiles saw the deadly serious look on Jacob's face and his own expression sobered. "I'm going with you, guys. Scott, please take Erica back to Jacob's palce to rest; she looks exhausted."
Jacob turned to him. "Stiles, this isn't a joke. Whatever monster Lydia is sensing isn't here yet, which means someone is summoning it, and they've used human blood to do it—that explains the dead people Lydia felt. I'm going there to kill people. And if that thing is as strong as me, you'll be in danger. I might not be able to protect you."
Stiles didn't hesitate. "I'll stay with Cogman, and the girls. I'll fight and help you if you need it, and I..." He hesitated for only a second, his resolve hardening. "I'll even kill, if I have to."
Before Jacob could argue, Scott yelled. "Stiles, you can't kill people!"
Stiles looked at him, his expression grim. "If those people used human sacrifices to summon something evil, then they deserve to die. Didn't you hear what Lydia said? If we don't stop them, a lot of innocent people are going to die. She is a banshee, Scott." He gestured toward Jacob. "I don't know exactly how strong Jacob is, but do you remember that lightning storm he called? Do you remember that massive fire snake he used to burn Peter? Imagine how many people would die if he unleashed those abilities in the middle of town. And if that monster is as strong as Jacob and can use elemental powers like him, then you can imagine what will happen if it goes into town and starts killing people. So yes, I'm going with Jacob. And I will help him, however I can."
"But we're talking about killing..." Scott started again.
Stiles sighed, cutting him off. "Look, you don't have to go or help. Just do me a favor and take Erica back to Jacob's place."
Scott shook his head, conflict warring on his face. "No… I'm going too."
Cogman gave Stiles an approving pat on the shoulder. "Suddenly, you are much more pleasing to the eye. I am almost tempted to cross your name off my shit list."
Malia offered Stiles a genuine smile. "Cogman's right. Now you feel like a real friend." She then shot a look of pure disdain at Scott. "Unlike you, you little bitch."
"Malia, be nice." Allison chided gently.
Jacob smiled faintly. "Malia, Scott doesn't want to kill, and that's okay. That's his choice. As his friends, we should respect that."
"Whatever." Malia grumbled. "Now, should we go? I want to fight."
"There will be no fighting for you." Jacob said firmly. "You'll stay with Allison and the others."
"But..." Malia began to protest.
Jacob cut her off. "No buts. If my guess is correct, the people summoning that thing are probably wizards or witches. The last time I touched a wizard, I lost an arm."
"Then I won't touch them." Malia argued. "I'll use my lightning to attack from a distance."
"Let's get there first and see what's happening." Jacob said. "Then I'll decide if you can fight. But first, we need to get Erica and Kate home. Everyone, put your hands on me."
"Why?" Stiles asked.
"Just do it, and you'll understand." Jacob said. "Allison, put Kate's hand on me, too."
Everyone placed a hand on Jacob. Then, they vanished from the woods and reappeared in the mansion's living room.
Stiles, Erica, and Scott staggered slightly, feeling dizzy.
"How…?" Stiles breathed, looking around in awe.
"I can teleport." Jacob said simply.
"Just how many abilities do you have?" Stiles asked.
Jacob smirked. "A lot. Now, take Erica to your room to rest."
"My room?" Stiles said.
"Yes, the one you use when you stay over." Jacob said. "Then you and Scott wait here. I'll be back in…" He paused and thought. 'System, how long will it take to absorb the Dragon's Blood Essence potion? And how long for the girls to absorb the Hulk Serum?'
[It will take you between forty to fifty minutes to fully absorb the potion, Host. For your mates, absorption of the Hulk Serum will require approximately forty minutes.]
'Then the girls and I will stay inside Serendell for an hour, which is twelve minutes outside.' Aloud, he said. "I'll be back in fifteen minutes."
Stiles didn't ask more questions. He took Erica's hand and led her to his room.
Jacob said. "Cogman, girls, let's go to Serendell."
"Go ahead." Allison said. "I'll put Kate in a guest room and follow you." She headed off with Kate's unconscious form.
Jacob, Malia, Lydia, and Cogman teleported, vanishing from the living room, leaving Scott standing alone in the sudden silence. He sighed, and sank onto the couch, lost in thought.

Serendell
The group appeared on the soft grass of the garden outside the palace. Moments later, Allison joined them, having settled Kate in a guest room.
"After I consummated the bond with Malia." Jacob said. "my strength started growing faster, and some new useful things were unlocked in my pocket dimension."
Lydia's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? Hurry, show us!"
Jacob smiled and retrieved three elegant bracelets from his pocket dimension. He handed one to each girl. "These are Concealment Charm Bracelets. They can completely mask the wearer's supernatural nature. When worn, any supernatural creature will appear as a normal human to other creatures. Your true nature and energy will be completely masked. The effect only breaks if you voluntarily shift or actively use your powers. Drop a bit of your blood on them to bond them to you."
The girls bit their fingers, letting a drop of blood fall onto the bracelets. Each bracelet shimmered briefly, and they instantly felt a connection to the magical items before putting them on.
Next, Jacob took out a red-and-gold metal box and handed it to Cogman. "This is the Mark 85. Tony Stark's nanotech suit from the MCU. It's yours."
Cogman accepted the case with his usual casual air. "Thank you, sir." But the moment his internal systems connected with the suit's AI and accessed its schematics, his demeanor shifted. His eyes widened fractionally. "This… I can't believe this is man-made. The power, the complexity… it's incredible." He looked at Jacob, his usual mockery replaced by genuine, solemn respect. "Thank you, sir. This will make me far more effective in helping you and protecting my ladies." A familiar, wicked smirk finally returned. "And, more importantly, it provides many new… creative options for dealing with enemies. I intend to fuse it with my body."
"How long will that take?" Jacob asked.
"Not long, sir. Thirty minutes should suffice."
Jacob nodded. "Then get started."
Cogman moved a short distance away and started fusing the Mark 85 with his body.
Jacob then took out three test tubes filled with a vibrant, translucent green liquid from his pocket dimension. He handed one to each girl. "This is the Hulk Serum. It's derived from the Hulk's blood. Drink it. It will grant you immense physical strength and make your skin highly resistant to small-arms fire. It should also enhance your existing healing ability."
Lydia examined the glowing liquid. "Any side effects? Turning green? Losing control?"
A small smile touched Jacob's lips. "Although I would love for one of you to have the ability to shift into a She-Hulk, there is sadly no such good thing. The serum has no side effects." He said. "And once you drink it, the serum will take about forty minutes to absorb completely. We'll stay for seventy-five minutes in total—use the remaining time to get used to your new strength."
The girls sat on the soft grass and drank the serum. Almost immediately, their skin flushed a deep red, and their veins became prominent beneath the surface. They grimaced, waves of intense heat and minor pain washing through them, but it was nothing they couldn't handle.
Jacob watched them for a moment, ensuring they were stable, before teleporting away. He reappeared atop one of the distant mountains far behind the palace.
He took a deep breath, and retrieved the Dragon's Blood Essence Potion. The vial glowed with a deep, pulsating crimson light. Without further hesitation, he uncorked it and drank the contents.
At first, a soothing warmth spread through his limbs. Then, he felt like something unlocked deep within him, as if a dam had burst deep within his soul. His body temperature skyrocketed. His veins bulged, glowing faintly beneath his skin with a red light. A sharp pain coursed through his body, but it was eclipsed by the sensation of his power swelling, expanding at a rate that was almost alarming.
He sat, immobile, for forty-five minutes as the transformation took hold. Then, his body began to change of its own accord.
His frame expanded, bones cracking and lengthening. Black scales, harder than steel, rippled across his skin, replacing it entirely. His face elongated, reshaping into a powerful, draconic muzzle filled with sharp fangs. His arms and legs thickened, claws erupting from his fingertips and toes. A long, powerful tail sprouted from the base of his spine, and leathery wings unfurled from his back. The final change was in his eyes. The familiar gold deepened to orange, then finally turned red.
When the transformation was complete, Jacob stood as a true dragon. He was not yet a behemoth of legend, but he was formidable—standing six meters tall at the shoulder, a creature of gleaming black scales, razor-sharp claws, and huge leathery wings. Raw, ancient power hummed in every fiber of his being.
Feeling the immense, surging strength within him, Jacob threw back his draconic head and ROARED. The sound was primal, a wave of thunderous power that rolled across the mountains and valleys of Serendell, shaking the very air.
Chapter 110 - Powering up part 2
Allison, Lydia, and Malia, who had finished absorbing the Hulk Serum and were testing their new, incredible strength by lightly punching boulders into gravel, froze at the sound.
They turned as one toward the distant mountains, from where the earth-shaking roar had originated.
Lydia smiled, a sense of awe in her expression. "It seems he got stronger, too."
Malia nodded. "If I didn't know that was Jay, I'd be running for the deepest hole I could find right now. And that's just from the sound of him." A fierce, proud grin spread across her face. "But luckily, I'm his wife. That roar… instead of scaring me, it just makes me feel stronger."
"Me too." Allison and Lydia said in unison, feeling an unexpected surge of confidence and power resonate within them, a reflection of their bond.
As they spoke, a dark shadow appeared in the sky of Serendell, growing larger as it descended. With a rush of wind, Jacob landed before them, his massive claws digging into the soft earth. He folded his wings against his scaled back, his crimson eyes looking at them.
"What do you think, girls?" he asked, his voice a deep, resonant rumble that vibrated in their chests.
Allison's eyes were wide with admiration. "Wow. You look… majestic."
The girls approached, circling him. They ran their hands over his hard scales, marveled at the size of his claws, and stared up at his powerful draconic form.
Cogman descended from his flight around Serendell to hover at their side. He gave Jacob's new draconic form an appreciative once-over. "Now you look like a proper dragon, sir. A little small, perhaps, but you look good nonetheless."
Jacob's voice rumbled deeply. "My full dragon form will grow larger. By the way, did you manage to fuse the Mark 85 with your body, or are you just wearing it?"
"Completely fused, sir." Cogman confirmed.
"Show me." Jacob said.
"As you wish." Cogman's human-like nanotech skin dissolved, revealing his true form beneath—a sleek, silver-and-gold robot, far more advanced than his original body.
Then, his form began to shift again. "I can also assume a bestial combat mode. I chose a werelion form." His frame reconfigured, becoming more predatory, transforming into a powerful silver-and-gold robotic werelion with a glowing blue triangle on his chest.
Man, you look good." Jacob said, a note of envy in his thunderous voice. "I kind of want my Iron Man suit back now. I could turn it into a weredragon mecha and wear it."
Cogman's robotic lion head tilted. "You cannot have it back, sir. It is now a part of me. However, I could make a weredragon mecha for you to play with, if you wish."
Jacob chuckled. "Sure. That would be fun." He then turned his crimson gaze to Lydia. "Take a few pictures of me. I want to see how I look."
Lydia happily obliged, pulling out her phone and snapping several photos of his majestic, full dragon form from different angles.
Then, Jacob concentrated. His massive form shimmered and shrank, morphing into his hybrid form. In this state, he was a humanoid dragon—three meters tall, powerfully muscular, and covered in black scales.
After Lydia took a few more pictures, he shifted back completely, returning to his human form. It was only then that the girls noticed his eyes.
Jay, your eyes!" Allison exclaimed.
"What's wrong with my eyes?" Jacob asked, blinking.
Lydia moved closer, her hand resting on his bare chest as she stared up at him. "They're glowing red."
"Oh!" Jacob smiled. "I guess that's normal. When a supernatural creature evolves to an Alpha status, it means they're connected on a much deeper level to their true nature. Since I can now access my full dragon form, it's natural that I've become an Alpha." He flexed a hand, feeling the power thrumming within. "It's not just the transformation. I can use my elemental powers more efficiently now. And I've gained access to something called a Fire Domain. It makes my fire element exponentially more powerful and destructive. I haven't used it yet—it seems to consume a massive amount of energy"
Lydia, who was now tracing the lines of his abs, asked. "How do you know about it if you haven't used it?"
"The knowledge of the Fire Domain came with the ability to shift into my full dragon form." Jacob explained.
Allison asked. "What about your other elements? Electricity, earth, magma… can you use a domain with those, too?"
Jacob shook his head. "Not yet. Fire is my original, innate element. That's why the Fire Domain unlocked. The other elements I acquired as external abilities. I'll need to train to see if I can manifest domains for them." He looked at Allison and Malia. "You two might develop your own domains when you become alphas. Allison, a Wind Domain. Malia, a Lightning Domain."
Lydia pouted playfully. "What about me? Can I use a Sound Domain?"
"Probably not, because sound isn't an element." Jacob said, then smiled reassuringly. "But don't worry. I'll give you an element someday." He then caught her mischievous hand, which had begun wandering lower. "Stop being naughty. We have a group of cultists and a powerful monster to deal with."
Lydia winked but didn't let go, clinging to him.
Jacob shook his head fondly. "Did you girls get used to your new strength?"
Malia flexed her arms. "Yes, but I think I still need training. I feel so strong I don't even know my own limits."
"Me too." Allison agreed. "I can move without accidentally breaking everything I touch now, but I'll need a few more hours to have complete control. On the plus side, I can fly using wind manipulation now."
Lydia nodded. "I can fly as well, and my teleportation range probably increased, too, but I need to test it outside Serendell. The spatial rules are different here."
"Let's deal with the threat in the woods first." Jacob decided. "Then we'll come back here, and I'll help you master your new strength the best way I know how—by sparring with you."
Lydia's eyes lit up with competitive fire. "Can we gang up on you?"
Jacob smiled, a confident, dangerous glint in his glowing red eyes. "Don't get too excited. Even if all three of you come at me together, you won't stand a chance of winning."
"We'll see about that,." Lydia shot back.
"We'll see." Jacob echoed.
Allison brought up another point. "By the way, Jay, why did you become an Alpha after drinking that serum, but I didn't?"
"I didn't drink the Hulk Serum." Jacob clarified. "I drank a Dragon's Blood Essence Potion, specifically designed to awaken a dragon's true potential. That's what triggered my Alpha evolution."
Lydia looked thoughtful. "Then why don't you drink the serum, too? Wouldn't it make you even stronger?"
"No." Jacob said. "My body is already at a level where the serum's effect would be negligible. It wouldn't add anything."
Then, he reached into his pocket dimension and retrieved three magnificent feathers. They glowed with an inner, warm light, as if crafted from gentle flame. He handed one to each girl.
"These are Phoenix Feathers." He explained. "Also called Phoenix Downs. From a fantasy world. A single feather can restore a dying person to full health. Most importantly, they can cure injuries inflicted by dark magic or curses, and can be used as a potent weapon against dark creatures. Keep them safe in your rings. Use them only in a true emergency. To activate one, simply will it, and it will dissolve into healing flame." He met each of their eyes. "I only have fifteen in total, including these three."
The girls carefully stored the luminous Phoenix Feathers inside their spatial rings, treating them with the reverence they deserved.
Next, Jacob produced three large, futuristic-looking energy weapons and handed them out. Before he could explain, Allison's eyes widened in recognition. "I know what this is! It's the Spartan Laser from Halo. Is… is that world real, too?"
Jacob shrugged. "I have no idea. Maybe the Halo universe is real, or maybe someone just loved the design and made a functional replica, and whoever stocked my pocket dimension bought them." He tapped the side of the heavy weapon. "The important thing is, these aren't like the game version. They have no cooldown between shots—you can fire the moment you pull the trigger. And they possess unlimited internal energy. You can blast away to your heart's content."
Intrigued, Malia turned, hefted the laser, and fired a test shot toward the distant lake. A thick, crimson energy beam lanced across the garden and struck the water's surface, sending a massive geyser into the air.
"So strong!" Malia said with a fierce grin, lowering the smoking weapon. "I like it."
"Alright, put that away for now." Jacob said, amused. "Let's take a quick shower. We're all a bit sweaty from the power-ups."
With that, the girls vanished, teleporting directly to their respective rooms in the palace to wash off the lingering effects of the serum.
Jacob didn't bother with the palace. He simply teleported straight to the vast lake and plunged into the cool, clear water. As he swam, he focused internally. 'System, merge the Telekinesis and Heat Vision abilities into my body.'
[Are you sure, Host?]
'Yes.'
The process began. First, he felt the Telekinesis ability integrate into his mind. A sharp, splitting headache bloomed behind his eyes, lasting for a few minutes before subsiding.
Next came the Heat Vision. A sudden, burning ache filled his eye sockets, making him grit his teeth. It lasted for a full minute before fading.
[Telekinesis and Heat Vision abilities merged successfully.]
Jacob treaded water for a moment, getting a feel for the new powers. He closed his eyes, focused, and then opened them.
Two thin, concentrated beams of brilliant red thermal energy shot from his pupils, streaking up into the serene sky of Serendell before he quickly shut them off, leaving faint trails of heated air.
'Cool!' He thought with satisfaction.
Next, he turned his attention to Telekinesis. He focused on his own body. With a gentle mental push, he lifted himself out of the water, hovering several feet above the lake's surface. A grin spread across his face. He flew smoothly toward the palace, reveling in the effortless movement.
As he approached, he spotted Cogman standing near the grand entrance. A mischievous idea struck him. With a casual wave of his hand, he enveloped the butler in a telekinetic field and lifted him off the ground, spinning him gently in a slow circle.
"Sir." Cogman's voice came, laced with dry annoyance. "Is this your doing?"
"Yes." Jacob called out, laughing. "It's fun, right?"
"No, it is not." Cogman stated flatly. "It feels as though a giant, invisible hand is gripping my entire body. I cannot break free. Release me."
"Use all your strength and try to break free." Jacob challenged, increasing the grip slightly.
Cogman used his full strength. He activated the powerful thrusters in his palms and feet, glowing blue energy flaring as he pushed against the unseen force with all his mechanical might. Jacob felt the resistance strain against his mental hold. Intrigued, he poured more power into the telekinesis, tightening the grip.
After a moment of intense struggle, Cogman went limp. "Sir, stop! I give up!"
Jacob immediately released the telekinetic hold. Cogman dropped unceremoniously to the ground, landing face-first in the soft grass with a dull thud.
"Sorry." Jacob said, not sounding very sorry at all and then he flew into the palace, a thought crystalizing in his mind. 'This telekinesis is insanely strong. What a fantastic ability.'
He dressed in practical, dark clothes: black cargo pants, a black hoodie, and sturdy hiking boots. Ready for action, he teleported out of Serendell.
He reappeared in the mansion's living room, startling Stiles and Scott, who were sitting in tense silence.
"Where did you come from?!" Stiles yelped.
"My other home." Jacob said calmly. "I had some final preparations to make."
Stiles said. "When are you going to invite us there?"
"Let me think about it." Jacob replied.
"What's there to think about?"
"In case you've forgotten." Jacob said, raising an eyebrow. "I have three wives. I have to ask their opinion first." He smoothly changed the subject. "Is Erica asleep?"
"Yeah," Stiles said, his worry returning. "The moment she lay down, she just managed to tell me to be careful before she passed out. Are you sure she'll be okay? What if her body rejects the bite? Like Derek's girlfriend…"
"Don't worry." Jacob reassured. "She'll be fine." He then turned his gaze to Scott, who looked deeply troubled. "What's wrong with you?"
Stiles answered for him. "He's stuck in a moral loop, trying to decide if he can help us kill people or not."
Jacob walked over and placed a steadying hand on Scott's shoulder. "Scott, you don't have to kill anyone. I'll handle it. If I can't, the girls and Cogman will help. You and Stiles just watch from a safe distance."
Scott sighed. "Okay."
Stiles said. "I'll stay with Scott, but if you need me, I'll help."
"I appreciate that." Jacob said sincerely.
Just then, the air shimmered. Allison, Lydia, Malia, and Cogman appeared in the living room, all dressed for combat.
Jacob straightened up. "Alright. Time to move. Everyone, put your hands on me."
They all gathered close, placing a hand on Jacob.
In a blink, they vanished from the mansion.
They reappeared at the edge of the Beacon Hills Preserve.
Jacob said. "Lydia, lead the way."
Without a word, Lydia took off, sprinting into the deep woods with supernatural speed. Jacob, Allison, Malia, and Cogman followed immediately, though they consciously slowed their pace enough for Stiles and Scott to keep them in sight.
