Ch: 157-165
Chapter 157
Even Bai Ye, who was somewhat prepared for Deadpool's cheapness, wanted to beat him up.
Where the hell did you pull this money from!?
When I watched movies before, I only thought Deadpool was interesting like this.
But when this guy really appeared in front of him, Bai Ye just wanted to give him a Heat Ray.
The level of chatter and disgustingness made people want to trample him under their feet.
Bai Ye took a deep breath and began to adjust himself.
That's right, Deadpool is like this, Deadpool is just like this, don't be angry, we won't be angry...
After calming his mind, Bai Ye narrowed his eyes.
"Isn't transmigrating or not, not important?"
"What is this place, how did you get here?" Bai Ye asked his question.
"Oh, my God!"
"This space is my little secret!"
"Exploring someone's little secret at the first meeting! Too direct!"
Deadpool shyly twisted around, which made Bai Ye's anger rise.
"However, I can tell you, who told me to like Superman!"
"Those pectoral muscles! Oh! It's really irresistible!"
"Really can't I touch them? Name a price, bro!"
"I think no one can refuse Franklin!"
"Don't you like this thing?" Deadpool tempted him, patting the green bills in his hand.
Damn it, you're getting too much face, aren't you? Still coming?
Bai Ye's eyes turned red directly, and the entire space seemed to become hot at this moment.
"If you talk nonsense again, I can let you touch my Heat Ray, do you need it?"
Bai Ye had a strange smirk on his face, staring with red eyes.
"NONONO..."
"Calm down, calm down, Superman brother, big brother, daddy!"
Deadpool jumped back a few steps, waving his hands wildly, resembling a spirited young man doing the yaohua dance.
"Just kidding, I'm just kidding!"
It's true that he can't die, but he doesn't want to try Superman's Heat Ray.
Besides, Bai Ye only needed to turn his eyes red to create a sense of crisis that made his scalp tingle.
This Superman is definitely not an ordinary model of Superman.
It is definitely the largest version of Superman!
"This is a place similar to the Subspace!"
"Subspace, you know?! I can tell you in detail!"
"You can come here, it should be the movement I made when I summoned the little cutie back before, right?"
"Oh, right! It's my little cutie!"
Deadpool said, waving to the space in the distance.
Afterwards, a palm-sized spaceship flew over as if it had life, and stopped on Deadpool's hand.
"Oh! My little cutie!"
Deadpool grabbed the spaceship and kept stroking it.
That technique would make Kato Taka ashamed.
Subspace?
This was the first time Bai Ye had heard these three words from someone else.
"Subspace is a layer of protective measures located in the middle of the positive and negative material spaces!" Deadpool quickly explained.
"I think you should understand, don't you use it?"
After speaking, Deadpool thought that Bai Ye seemed to be Superman, so he sighed:
"I forgot you are Superman, you don't need a condom at all."
Bai Ye pinched his brow, feeling a little headache. Although Deadpool described it very abstractly, he understood.
Subspace, to put it bluntly, is a layer of protection.
It is located in the middle of the positive and antimatter space, acting as a protective umbrella.
Without this protective cover, positive and antimatter space would collide and then collapse and shrink.
"You can come here entirely because of my little cutie!"
"Come, let me introduce you, this is Kevin!"
"Um... my 41st little cutie!"
Deadpool said, lovingly placing the spaceship on his face, tilting his head and rubbing it, full of love.
"When I'm lonely, only they will be by my side!"
"Although not as considerate as 367 girlfriends! It's even a bit cold."
"But bro, I love them, and you love me, right?"
The second half of the sentence, Deadpool was talking to the spaceship in his hand.
Bai Ye was already somewhat immune to Deadpool's appearance.
Bai Ye asked Deadpool with a cold face: "Since you love your little cutie so much, why did you let it out?"
"Moreover, it seems to have the ability to transport people to other Universes?"
Hearing this, Deadpool suddenly raised his head, looked at Bai Ye, and quickly asked: "Oh, fuck, have you experienced it?"
"No! I haven't." Bai Ye shook his head and denied.
"Then why do you know these things?" Deadpool asked with a curious face.
"It's just that I simply sensed the power of space from this spaceship, so I said that."
Deadpool nodded upon hearing this, and quickly said while touching the spaceship:
"As expected of Superman, you are amazing!"
"You guessed right, little cutie is a time-space shuttle!"
"Tsk... it's not accurate to say that, a barrier shuttle? A Universe shuttle?"
"Anyway, little cutie can help me travel freely in many Universes!"
"Let's call it the Little Bitch Pass! How is it? Isn't it very suitable?"
Listening to Deadpool's name for the spaceship, Bai Ye sneered: "It's really suitable!"
It seems that this guy Deadpool also knows that he is very "cheap"!
"Roar! Bro! You think so too?!"
Deadpool suddenly became inexplicably excited, his eyes glowing, and he put his arm around Bai Ye's shoulder.
The excited Deadpool did not care about the sense of crisis that Bai Ye had brought him before.
"It seems you also like my little cutie!"
"In this way, we have a common hobby and common topics!"
"You have a standard Eastern face, you should be Easterner."
"Don't you all like to become sworn brothers? Why don't we become sworn brothers?"
"You don't know, I used to stay in the East for a while."
"To be honest, that what... what garden sworn brotherhood."
"Aww, it makes my blood boil!"
"How about we become sworn brothers of different fathers and mothers in the Subspace?"
"In the future, yours will be mine, and my pass will be your pass!"
"You can go to any Universe you want, and you can go whenever you want, and you can be happy at any time!"
"How about it, are you tempted?"
Speaking of which, Deadpool doesn't have a Superman friend yet!
Pulling Bai Ye to become sworn brothers is not a whim.
How strong is Superman, if he can't beat others in the future, he will call Superman!
Don't look at Deadpool's jumpiness, his little abacus is very good!
"I refuse!"
Bai Ye sneered again, knocking off the paw on his shoulder.
He thinks very beautifully, this guy is full of bad ideas, and he doesn't know when he will be tricked.
However, this guy said that there is a sworn brotherhood in the East.
"Ah, this..."
Deadpool scratched his head, with a bit of unwillingness on his face.
"I..."
Before Deadpool could continue speaking, Bai Ye slapped him away.
After Deadpool turned three thousand six hundred circles in the air, he landed on the ground.
"Okay, stop bb-ing, if you continue to talk nonsense, I don't mind stuffing your head in a valley.~."
Deadpool nodded silently when he saw this, and knelt on the ground very obediently.
"Okay, I'll ask you something, you answer something, do you understand?"
Deadpool nodded quickly upon hearing this.
"The first question, what are you doing summoning this spaceship out for?"
Deadpool tilted his head and thought for a while upon hearing this.
"He is my 41st little cutie! I seemed to have said it just now?"
"I have hundreds of these things, they collect some energy for me in various Universes,"
"emmm magical energy!"
"Tsk tsk tsk, you may not understand even if I say it, after all, I don't fully understand this thing either."
"In short, this thing is a good thing!"
"Have you thought about it? Want one?"
"I can give you a few for free, how about as a gift for our sworn brotherhood?"
"We are all brothers, mine is yours!"
Looking at Deadpool, who forgot the pain once he opened his mouth and began to talk non-stop, Bai Ye's eyes lit up red again.
"Woah woah woah..."
"Wait, wait, wait, I was wrong, I won't say it!" Seeing this scene, Deadpool quickly waved his hand to beg for mercy.
Chapter 158
Watching Deadpool return to normal, Bai Ye continued his questioning.
"Second question—why did you show up here?"
"Third question—what do you need all that energy for?"
"Fourth question—how did you break through the fourth wall?"
Honestly, ever since he'd gained the ability to hop between Universes,
Bai Ye had wondered whether he could, like Deadpool, pierce the fourth wall and take a look at the so-called real World.
But all this time he'd gotten nowhere.
Today he'd run into Deadpool, so he figured he'd ask.
"Alright, alright, buddy—lemme think!"
Deadpool knelt on the ground, stuffing the cash he'd pulled out earlier back into his underwear while answering Bai Ye.
"Why am I here…?"
"I'm here to reclaim my Little Cutie Pass, of course!"
"Ever heard of the Nine-Planet Alignment? That's the trigger I set for the pass!"
When it happens, the pass pings me to come pick it up."
"After being apart so long, little cutie must be missing me!"
"As for your third question—collecting all that energy…"
Deadpool pondered, then started making stuff up.
"It's obviously so I can get a girlfriend in every Universe!"
Jumping around takes tons of energy; it's my secret, only for my bros!"
You turned me down, and that hurts, so I'm not telling you."
"And the—uh—fourth question was… what again?" Deadpool scratched his head, having forgotten.
Bai Ye didn't mind and repeated the last query:
"The fourth question: do you know a way to reach the outside of the fourth wall?"
More precisely, what do I have to do to get outside the fourth wall?"
"You want out too?"
At the fourth question Deadpool froze, voice cracking.
His upper body shivered as if remembering something terrifying.
"'Too'?"
Bai Ye latched onto that word, eyes narrowing.
"You're with them!"
Deadpool screeched, howling at the top of his lungs.
"Holy crap—help!"
"Mommy! How did you track me here…?"
"little cutie, dammit, you led them right to me!"
Deadpool grabbed the palm-sized ship and slammed it against the floor.
Clang-clang-clang!
The ship rang out under his frantic pounding.
Watching Deadpool's sudden fit, Bai Ye rubbed his chin, thoughts flashing through his mind.
He decided to probe aloud:
"'With them'? What are you babbling about?"
"I followed the ruckus you made to get here—what space is this?"
"Eh…?"
Deadpool's fist stopped mid-pound; he spun to stare at Bai Ye.
"Right—you were brought here by little cutie."
"So you're not with them?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot—you crossed in from outside the fourth wall in the first place, no way you're on their side!"
"Phew, thank heavens—scared the pee outta me! Almost actually wet myself!"
He checked below; quick reflexes had saved his pants.
After venting, Deadpool started wiping "tears".
"You have no idea how brutal those guys are!"
"They've slaughtered Deadpools in several Universes just to find a way through the wall."
"They've been hunting me—gotta keep running!"
"If they catch me, my butt's toast—literally!"
Deadpool sobbed; life was miserable.
Not every Deadpool can shatter the fourth wall.
Deadpool considered himself nuts, but those creeps were even crazier.
He knew he was a comic/movie character,
could talk to the readers, yet still couldn't cross the wall at will.
Most trips required special states or gear.
(For instance, when the real writers flex, they give him a one-issue power-up—he just thinks it's some inner state.)
"I'm telling you, they—"
Bai Ye cut him off, recalling Marvel characters who'd snapped upon learning they were fiction.
Classic case: Professor X, who went insane after fishing that truth from Deadpool's mind.
She-Hulk had a similar knack.
She could also interact with the audience beyond the wall.
Listening, Bai Ye deduced a group must have learned they were comic characters,
freaked, and now wanted into the "real" World to kill Marvel's writers.
Deadpool had to be involved somehow,
or they wouldn't be dog-piling him.
Besides wanting his wall-crossing trick, they probably blamed him for the truth.
"You know about them?!"
Bai Ye's guess startled Deadpool, who dropped to his hands.
Dragging his still-dizzy lower half, he scooted over and hugged Bai Ye's thigh.
"You know them! And you're Superman—you can save me!"
"Big bro—Daddy—Grandpa!"
"Save me!"
Deadpool wept, clutching hope in the form of Bai Ye's leg.
Bai Ye stayed stone-cold, prying the fingers off.
The guy was inching upward—total psycho.
Still, the info confirmed Bai Ye's hunch.
Just as expected: only in Marvel could you find maniacs like this.
"So you've been Universe-hopping to dodge them?"
"And little cutie's your ticket for the jumps?"
Bai Ye nailed the key points.
Look at this pitiful—well, more like annoying—Deadpool; even he had to flee.
"Yeah! What else can I do? Can't beat them."
"Caught means dead."
Deadpool looked utterly defeated.
He had no clue where those lunatics came from.
Their powers were bizarre—snake-morphers, dog-morphers, even some that looked like DC heroes.
That gang was a walking mash-up of every movie and anime.
Last time, only a quick bluff had saved his skin.
"If they ever breach the wall, something awful will happen."
"Imagine them finding the writers and rewriting stuff—we'd all be headed for the graveyard."
"Out there beyond the wall there're no super-beings."
"Nobody could stop them!"
The more he spoke, the more terrified he became.
"Big bro—uncle!"
"You're a Superman from outside the wall—surely you've got a plan, right?"
Deadpool reached for Bai Ye's leg again, needing comfort.
Bai Ye sidestepped the grab.
"Quit groping me."
"Of course I can't let them reach the outside."
This Deadpool's personality wasn't the movie version,
and Bai Ye recalled the merc was hunting for a way to die.
Whatever the reason, this one was just as annoying.
He knew the situation was serious,
but normally those guys could never leave the fourth wall.
Unless editorial suddenly wanted a mega-event, they'd stay stuck inside.
Anyone this weak Deadpool could escape probably wasn't top-tier.
"Which Universes are they in?" Bai Ye asked.
"Give me the coordinates—I'll check it out."
"And do you actually know how to get outside the fourth wall?"
Deadpool reached into the back of his pants and pulled out a sheet of paper.
"Here, big bro!"
Chapter 159
"I've written down which Universes they're in—more than twenty of them."
"This paper cost me blood, sweat, and tears, bro—treat it like treasure!"
Deadpool sniffled as he shoved the sheet toward Bai Ye.
Bai Ye recoiled instantly.
"Gross! Keep that horror to yourself!"
"I've already read it."
A sweep of Super Vision was all it took.
"How could you reject me like this?!"
Seeing Bai Ye wouldn't even touch it, Deadpool started his drama again.
"Exactly!"
Bai Ye answered without hesitation.
Your butt must be linked to a four-dimensional pocket—what can't you pull out of there?
"Fine, fine, I'll put it away myself."
Deadpool rolled the paper back up, stuffed it in, humming an unspeakable tune.
It was an eyesore, plain and simple.
This Deadpool was even more perverted than Bai Ye had imagined.
"As for how to get outside the fourth wall…"
"I've got no clue!"
Only after finishing his re-stash did Deadpool finally speak.
Bai Ye nodded inwardly—just as he'd expected.
Without the Writers pulling strings, Deadpool could never breach the fourth wall.
Though he'd anticipated it, Bai Ye probed once more, just to be sure.
"Cut the crap."
"You don't know how you got outside the fourth wall?"
As he spoke, Bai Ye's face screamed disbelief.
"I really don't, big bro!"
Deadpool felt wronged by the suspicion.
"The reason I can get outside the fourth wall…"
"is that sometimes, when I want to, I just slip through~"
"But as you know, even that doesn't happen often—"
"Some days I want to go and still can't squeeze through."
Deadpool vented his frustration to Bai Ye.
It's like having a girlfriend—passage depends entirely on mood.
When the wall's in a bad temper, no amount of effort gets Deadpool through.
When it's cheerful, a mere wish kicks him right outside the fourth wall.
Ever since those maniacs showed up, the wall seems to reject him, refusing to let him out.
Otherwise he'd have dived outside long ago to hide from the black-robed freaks.
"You're not lying?"
Bai Ye could see Deadpool wasn't faking—probably.
Still, the guy's nuts; maybe he'd simply forgotten.
So Bai Ye decided to verify the truth with a special method.
His left hand clenched quietly; an unseen mighty ripple spread.
Deadpool's gaze went blank, his tone robotic.
"N-no…"
Huh—turns out the merc really wasn't lying.
Deadpool is unique, but even he can't resist the Infinity Stones.
Bai Ye quietly activated the Mind Stone and found the guy was telling the truth.
A bit disappointed, yet he'd half expected it and quickly buried the feeling.
"What did you do to me?!"
Regaining control, Deadpool jumped back in alarm.
He looked as if Bai Ye had violated him.
"Why do I feel like telling you every secret I've got!"
"Damn—good thing I caught myself; I almost blurted that my girl has two moles on her butt."
"Close call, close call!"
Deadpool slapped his chest theatrically, legs jittering non-stop.
Bai Ye couldn't even be bothered roasting someone this shameless.
"Since you really know nothing, there's nothing left to discuss."
"I'm off—enjoy your fugitive road trip!"
Bai Ye waved goodbye and prepared to leave.
He now had coordinates for a pile of the maniacs' Universes.
Once he left, he intended to strike straight at them.
The creeps weren't strong, but if they kept at it they might affect the Multiverse.
Which could end up harming his own Universe.
So Bai Ye meant to root them out and erase the threat.
"Don't go, bro!"
Seeing Bai Ye really meant to leave, Deadpool panicked and blocked his way.
He'd finally found such a thick thigh; not clinging to it would be letting himself down.
"What'll happen to me if you split?!"
"What if they catch me someday?!"
"You don't want those freaks punching through the fourth wall either, right?!"
"That'd unleash some serious terror, y'know!"
Deadpool gesticulated wildly, fingers dancing through the air to paint an apocalyptic picture.
"Oh?"
The words made Bai Ye pause mid-step.
The merc had a point—time for countermeasures.
Bai Ye's eyes glint as he sizes Deadpool up, dangerous light swirling in his pupils.
"True—what you say makes sense."
"If they nab you and figure out how you jump, things could get ugly."
"Exactly, big bro, that's what I meant!"
Deadpool bobbed his head like a woodpecker. (garbled text follows)
"That possibility really does need to be ruled out."
Bai Ye arches a brow, giving Deadpool a playful grin.
To Deadpool, that smile looked terrifying.
"Then how about I send you straight to paradise?"
"That way they'll never find you, and you'll be free—sound good?"
Bai Ye utters the horrific suggestion in a casual tone.
Deadpool's butt clenched; he almost forgot to breathe.
"I hear you're immortal?"
"If every last cell is vaporised, can you still come back?"
Bai Ye grows more intrigued, red light flaring in his eyes!
He really wants to know: annihilate the guy completely—would he resurrect?
If he'd been joking before, now Bai Ye is half-serious.
Damn curiosity—not revenge for the earlier gross-out, nope.
Definitely not revenge.
Sensing deadly danger, cold sweat dripped off Deadpool.
"Bro, don't!"
Deadpool wanted to slap himself—should've kept his mouth shut.
I haven't given my girl enough happiness yet, and I'm top-tier at running away!
"They won't catch me—at least not soon, not for a while!"
"And maybe one day I'll crack how to reach outside the wall—I'll tell you first!"
"Besides, if you kill me, other Deadpools in the Multiverse can still cross the fourth wall!"
Deadpool raised his hands, tears on cue—an Oscar-level performance.
Deadpool courts Death daily, yet when Death really looms he's in no hurry.
Mainly, he can't bear to leave his harem behind!
Otherwise he wouldn't be fleeing across Universes.
"Enough—quit your fake sniffles, I was just messing with you."
Bai Ye shut off his Heat Ray and tossed Deadpool a Superman distress beacon.
"If you ever hit inescapable danger, jump back to this Universe."
Press the button and I'll come save you."
Bai Ye had no intention of killing him; he still hopes to learn the wall-crossing trick.
To spare himself further babble, Bai Ye vanished on the spot.
The moron had offered little useful intel, but Bai Ye had witnessed new heights of shamelessness.
Still, if Deadpool ever faced fatal crisis, Bai Ye would show up.
After all, better Deadpool vanish than fall into their hands.
Chapter 160
With that thought, Bai Ye had already teleported out of Subspace and appeared in the Universe.
Bai Ye glanced at the cosmic coordinates he had memorized.
Among the pile of coordinates he spotted quite a few that didn't feel Marvel-typical.
He guessed many of them must belong to other Universes.
So he picked one at random from those very different sets of coordinates, opened a Portal and stepped through.
Earth, K-Science Base, dojo.
On the wooden floor, the spar between Mako Mori and Yancy Becket had just ended.
The cadets watching were heatedly discussing the moves they'd just seen.
Suddenly the air at the center of the doom twisted, and a sapphire spatial rift tore open out of nowhere!
"Stand guard!"
Everyone on site snapped into combat readiness.
Yancy and Mako sprang back, dropping into defensive stances, while the surrounding guards raised their rifles.
Under the wary stares, a man in black armor stepped out unhurriedly.
He wore no helmet or mask; his face was handsome, lazy smile playing at his lips.
Most striking were the six strange gems embedded in his wrist.
Right now they were dull and lifeless, looking like mere ornaments.
"Who are you?"
Stacker Pentecost asked coldly, hand already on the holster at his waist.
Bai Ye looked around, his gaze lingering on Mako and Yancy, then smiled and said without hiding, "Bai Ye, from another Universe. Relax, I'm just sightseeing."
"Another Universe?" Yancy frowned. "This isn't a sci-fi movie."
Mako, sharp-eyed, noticed the Infinity Stones on his wrist. "What are those? Some kind of energy device?"
Bai Ye glanced down and shrugged. "They used to be pretty useful, but in this Universe they seem to have stopped working."
In fact, the Infinity Stones only function inside the Marvel Universe.
And even there you can't use them everywhere; places like the Time Variance Authority can still nullify them.
Right then an armed squad burst in—five guards lunged straight at him.
Bai Ye didn't even shift his footing, just lifted a hand.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The guards flew back faster than they'd come, yet landed lightly, completely unhurt.
Bai Ye flicked non-existent dust from his clothes and warned patiently, "I'm only passing through; I'll say it one last time."
Seeing that, Mako's eyes flashed with fighting spirit. "Let me test him!"
Before the words finished she sprang up, a fierce flying kick aimed at Bai Ye's face.
Bai Ye glanced at her; Mako was instantly sent flying.
"For an ordinary human, not bad speed," Bai Ye commented.
When Yancy saw it he charged in, but after two steps he was hurled back the same way, crashing heavily to the ground.
"Can we talk now?"
Bai Ye smiled as he looked at the Marshal who had just appeared nearby.
His figure vanished, reappearing in front of Stacker Pentecost the next second.
The whole hall was shocked into dead silence by the terrifying and miraculous sight.
Stacker Pentecost stared at him for a few seconds and swallowed.
Two seconds later he raised a hand, signaling the guards to lower their weapons, and said very sensibly, "Sorry, sir, our mistake—come with me…"
Bai Ye grinned. "Not planning to fight first?"
The Marshal glanced at the two on the floor and replied, "If you want a little sparring match, we're happy to oblige."
Bai Ye chuckled and said no more, following Stacker Pentecost out of the dojo.
After they left the cadets hurried over to help the pair up.
They only had ordinary bruises; if they knew Bai Ye's temperament they'd probably feel lucky they hadn't provoked him to kill… A few minutes later—conference room.
The heavy metal door shut and the soundproofing system engaged.
Stacker Pentecost sat at the head; Yancy and Mako, checked and found uninjured, stood on either side.
Bai Ye lounged casually against the table, eyes sweeping over the hologram on the wall.
It displayed global Jaeger Bases and Kaiju activity logs.
Bai Ye spoke first, half laughing as he said, "So your World is plagued by these kinds of monsters?"
Such creatures wouldn't last an hour in Marvel.
Even back in the real World their tech could handle them.
Yet here they're fighting high-tech with cold weapons.
Bai Ye suspected this World's scientists learned from the same school as Wakanda's.
Still, he remembered Deadpool had once mentioned a team of lunatics here…
Perhaps the Kaiju have been upgraded.
Stacker Pentecost didn't answer directly; instead he called up a clip.
The towering Kaiju Knifehead was tearing through Hong Kong as the Jaeger Gipsy Danger battled it.
"Since 2013 these creatures have kept emerging from the Breach deep in the Pacific," the Marshal said, voice low.
"We call them Kaiju, and our Jaegers are the only force that can stand against them."
Bai Ye watched the collapsing skyscrapers and burning city, shook his head, and couldn't help muttering:
"So you protect the World with giant robots? With tech like this, wouldn't high-energy weapons be easier?"
"How are these Kaiju still alive? A fusion-powered energy cannon could wipe them all out."
Hearing Bai Ye, Mako stepped forward and countered:
"The main issue is that Kaiju blood is highly toxic."
Only large Jaegers keep the contamination to a minimum."
Bai Ye smiled at her reply and said nothing.
With this level of tech, cleaning up pollution should be trivial—no need for such a clumsy method.
The scriptwriters simply sacrificed logic so Jaegers could fight Kaiju.
Yancy rubbed his chest, clearly disagreeing with Bai Ye's remarks.
"You said you're from another Universe; does your World have Kaiju?"
Bai Ye shrugged. "No, but it's far more dangerous."
Stacker Pentecost studied him and asked, "Sir, why did you suddenly appear in our Base?"
Bai Ye spread his hands. "I told you—just sightseeing and looking for certain bugs."
"All right, I'll handle the Kaiju; your efficiency is too low."
The conference room fell silent.
Mako frowned. "Alone? Without a Jaeger, how do you fight those monsters?"
Bai Ye didn't reply; instead he turned to Stacker Pentecost and asked:
"Mr. Stacker Pentecost, when was your last Kaiju attack?"
The Marshal pulled up the data. "Three days ago in Sydney; Category-Four Kaiju Raiju was killed by Striker Eureka."
"Next forecast?"
"Breach activity is erratic, but based on history another incursion is likely within two weeks."
"Too slow. I'll head straight to the seafloor and fix this. Brew me a coffee—see you in ten."
Bai Ye stood; his armor flowed over him as nano-material.
Before they could react, he vanished.
Outside the Base, Bai Ye hovered ten thousand meters up. Golden light flared in his eyes as Super Vision pierced clouds and seawater to the deepest Pacific trench.
There, a vast spatial rift hung above the chasm, alien tech structures faintly visible within pulsing blue energy.
"Found it."
Bai Ye vanished; the World slowed… Above the Pacific Breach
BOOM!!!
The sea exploded as a mountain-sized Category-Four Kaiju surged up, roaring skyward, shock-waves shattering clouds.
Before its roar finished, a crimson Heat Vision beam lanced down and punched through its skull.
The Kaiju's pupils dilated; its colossal frame froze, then crashed back into the sea, raising hundred-meter waves.
Blue blood sprayed while Bai Ye hung silently overhead, the red glow fading from his eyes.
K-Science Base, Command Center
Satellite feed streamed in. Stacker Pentecost, Yancy, and Mako stared, pupils trembling.
"He just shot lasers from his eyes?!" Yancy's voice shook.
"That wasn't a laser," Mako said, analyzing rapidly.
"It's some kind of ultra-hot particle beam; the energy reading exceeds our instruments' limits."
Stacker Pentecost's fists whitened. "What exactly is he?"
Seafloor, Breach Entrance
Bai Ye plunged through the abyss to the Breach. Beyond the blue rift another World loomed.
Ash-grey sky, vast bio-factories, countless Kaiju embryos incubating.
"So the Precursors' nest looks like this—no wonder they're endless."
Without hesitation he stepped through the Breach into the other side.
Precursor World
Corrosive gas filled the gloom; the ground was living biological nest.
Chapter 161
In the distance, dozens of immature Kaiju were squirming in their incubation pods.
Bai Ye's sudden appearance immediately triggered the alarm.
"Intruder!"
The shriek of some alien language echoed in the air, and countless Precursor warriors swarmed out of their nests.
They were slender, with pale skin, and cold, calculating light gleamed in their eyes.
Bai Ye didn't even glance at them, just slowly raised his hands.
"Cosmic Chronicles: Solar Flare!"
Boom!!!!
Using the Cosmic Chronicles power that came with the Power of Ten Billion Gods, Bai Ye's body suddenly erupted in a blinding golden light.
Terrifying energy, centered on him, instantly swept across the entire Precursor World.
The Kaiju Hatchery evaporated!
The Precursor Nests collapsed!
The Wormhole structure disintegrated!
The light of the explosion even illuminated the entire gloomy Planet, and the Impact swept out, incinerating all life in an instant.
"Oops, I didn't notice if those lunatics were around."
After utterly destroying everything on the Precursor Planet, Bai Ye suddenly remembered something and immediately used his Super Vision to scan.
The result was naturally nothing, but this was also normal; after all, under the radiance of the Sun, nothing could hide.
"Well, it seems I still overestimated that lunatic group."
Bai Ye shrugged and walked towards the Wormhole that hadn't completely collapsed yet.
Outside the Wormhole, deep under the Pacific Ocean
Bai Ye's figure reappeared on the seabed. The Wormhole rift behind him twisted violently, its energy spiraling out of control, and finally closed completely with a deafening collapse.
The seawater surged, but not even a corner of Bai Ye's clothes got wet.
He calmly watched it all, then his figure flickered and disappeared into the deep sea.
K-Science Base, Command Center
"Wormhole energy readings are at Zero!" a technician shrieked.
"It's closed! Permanently closed!"
Stacker Pentecost stood up abruptly, disbelieving, "What?!"
Mako stared at the data on the screen, her voice trembling, "It's not just closed; the source of the Wormhole has been completely destroyed."
Yancy swallowed, "What in the World did he do?"
Just then, the automatic doors of the Command Center slid open, and Bai Ye strolled in leisurely, hands in his pockets.
"It's done," Bai Ye said very casually. "There won't be any more Kaiju from now on."
The entire room fell silent.
Stacker Pentecost took a deep breath, slowly removed his military cap, and solemnly saluted Bai Ye.
"Humanity owes you a life."
Bai Ye smiled, waved his hand dismissively, "It was just a small favor."
Mako stepped forward, her eyes flickering with complex emotions, and asked, "Are you a god or an alien?"
"In my World, they all call me a god!"
After easily dealing with the Precursors, Bai Ye did not leave immediately.
To be safe, Bai Ye deliberately stayed in this World for another day or two.
After all, he didn't know where those crazy groups Deadpool mentioned were in this Universe.
However, the only two places that could be involved in the plot were the Precursor Planet and Earth.
The Precursor Planet had already been completely destroyed by Bai Ye.
The focus would naturally be on Earth next.
However, after these past two days, Bai Ye hadn't found anything unusual on the entire Earth.
In other words, the members of the lunatic group in this Universe were really wiped out by him on the Precursor Planet, treated like a speed bump on the side of the road?
In that case, Bai Ye could only say, 'Brother, you still need to practice!'
Although he was a bit disappointed not to have met the members of those crazy groups, Bai Ye spent a very pleasant few days at the K-Science Base.
He even had the leisure to guide Mako and Yancy in improving their combat skills.
When bored, he also helped the PPDC optimize the neural load system for Jaeger pilots.
Marshal Stacker Pentecost's gaze towards him had also changed from wariness to a complex admiration.
However, good times are always short; it was time to bid farewell to this Universe.
After all, for two consecutive days, no anomalies had been found, and Bai Ye had checked the entire Universe without finding any trace of those people.
So Bai Ye could only conclude that the members of the crazy group in this Universe had been killed by him.
Or perhaps they had already fled before he arrived.
Thinking of this, Bai Ye, sitting in the Base cafeteria and taking a bite of his steak, had a slight change in expression.
"Leaving?"
Mako keenly noticed the change in his expression, put down her coffee cup, and asked.
Yancy also looked up, "So soon?"
Bai Ye smiled and didn't explain much to them, just saying:
"Yes, there are others waiting for my help in the next place."
Marshal Pentecost walked in from outside, holding a document: "I heard you're leaving?"
"News travels fast," Bai Ye quipped.
The Marshal handed him the document: "The PPDC's highest honor medal, though you probably don't care about this."
Bai Ye took it, casually put it into his personal space, and thanked him, "Thanks, I'll keep it as a souvenir."
Mako hesitated, then suddenly said, "If there's a chance, will you come back?"
Bai Ye stood up, a smile flashing in his eyes, and shrugged:
"Who knows? The Universe is vast, but fate is unpredictable."
He walked to the central plaza of the Base, followed by Yancy, Mako, Stacker Pentecost, and many PPDC members.
"Boss, just leaving like that? Aren't you going to show us your interdimensional Portal?" Yancy asked, crossing his arms and stepping forward.
Bai Ye smiled and snapped his fingers: "Alright, I'll give you a show."
"Buzz!"
A golden spatial rift unfolded in the air, and on the other side, the neon glow of another city was faintly visible.
Stacker Pentecost took a deep breath: "Every time, he manages to refresh my understanding."
Mako also waved: "Take care."
Bai Ye waved back at them, then turned and stepped into the Portal.
In the last second before the rift closed, he turned back and winked at everyone:
"Oh, and if Kaiju ever suddenly revive one day, I might come back."
As his voice faded, Bai Ye's figure completely disappeared into the Portal rift.
Everyone stood rooted to the spot for a long time.
Yancy sighed: "That guy, he truly comes and goes like the wind."
Mako chuckled: "But he really did change our World."
Stacker Pentecost looked at the clear sky and murmured.
"I hope he can be as carefree and unrestrained in other Universes too."
...A certain unknown Universe
Bai Ye stepped out of the Portal onto the familiar streets of New York.
Yet it was also very unfamiliar; New York was still New York, but many iconic buildings were missing.
There was neither a Stark Tower nor an Avengers Tower.
"The Infinity Stones still can't be used?"
Bai Ye looked at the unresponsive Infinity Stones and knew it definitely wasn't the Marvel Universe.
However, this was also normal; most of the Universe coordinates given by Deadpool didn't have much connection to the Marvel Universe coordinates.
Soon, Bai Ye's attention was drawn to a scene in front of him.
A figure in a torn Spider-Man suit lay face down in a pool of blood.
Standing before him was a man as burly as a mountain.
Kingpin.
The crime lord held a blood-stained cane, coldly looking down at the deceased Spider-Man.
"...Another bothersome bug," Kingpin's voice was low.
Bai Ye narrowed his eyes; he recognized the style of the Spider-Man suit, recognized the figure—it was Peter Parker.
But what was going on? Spider-Man, dead?
And since there's a Spider-Man, why can't I use my Infinity Stones?
If this situation occurred, there was only one possibility.
This was the Sony Spider-Verse!
Just as Bai Ye figured out the World, Kingpin slowly raised his fleshy face, narrowing his eyes as he looked at the suddenly appearing Bai Ye.
This behemoth, weighing over 200 kilograms, slowly straightened up, loosening his grip on the clenched fist scepter.
Kingpin's movements were incredibly fast; he pulled a gold-plated Desert Eagle from his inner suit pocket and fired a shot at Bai Ye.
"Bang!"
A loud gunshot echoed in the narrow alley.
The bullet spun towards Bai Ye's forehead, but was frozen in mid-air the instant it got close to him.
The bullet head trembled violently, trying to break free from the Bio-Force Field's restraint.
But the result was naturally a futile struggle, and it eventually dropped to the ground with a 'clink'.
Kingpin watched this scene, his pupils suddenly contracting.
Bai Ye tilted his head, smiling as he stated, "Your actions remind me of the first time I met Kingpin in my Universe."
Before he finished speaking, Bai Ye's figure suddenly vanished from the spot.
Kingpin only felt a blur before his eyes; a hand had already gripped his throat, lifting him entirely.
This crime lord, whose weight was comparable to a small car, was now effortlessly lifted by Bai Ye like a rag doll.
"What in the..."
Kingpin's face turned crimson, his thick legs kicking futilely.
Chapter 162
"Do you know what happened to the last Kingpin who pointed a gun at me?"
"The answer is... I completely eliminated his qualifications as a human being."
Bai Ye held up Kingpin, his face indifferent as he spoke.
Hearing Bai Ye's words, fear appeared in Kingpin's eyes for the first time.
He struggled to reach for his waist, but Bai Ye had already anticipated his thoughts.
"Crack!"
Kingpin's wrist bones were instantly crushed into a comminuted fracture by Bai Ye.
"Ah!!"
Faced with such an attack, Kingpin let out a painful howl.
Bai Ye's eyes were unwavering as he said directly, "Pay attention next life, don't be too impulsive."
As Bai Ye's voice fell, there was a crisp sound of a neck bone breaking.
"Crack!"
Kingpin's head tilted to an impossible angle, and the light in his eyes quickly faded.
Bai Ye let go, and the huge body slammed heavily on the ground like a broken sack, raising a cloud of dust.
He stood on the ruins, looking down at the dead Spider-Man's corpse on the ground.
He glanced at Kingpin, who had his neck broken and thrown aside.
Could it be that if it is Sony's Spider-Verse, involving the Death of Spider-Man, then this is Miles 643's Universe?
When Bai Ye's Super Hearing spread out and Super Vision looked all over the city, he did not see that figure.
In this city, Bai Ye saw the green hulk Green Goblin, saw the Prowler, saw the Scorpion, saw Tombstone, but he just didn't see Spider-Man.
So, this is a Miles Universe without Miles?
Or is this the work of those crazy gangs?
Just as Bai Ye was thinking about the situation in this Universe... "What happened?!"
A voice suddenly came from behind Bai Ye.
Bai Ye turned around and saw a Spider-Man wearing a red and blue armor standing at the entrance of the alley, his mask half-removed, revealing a shocked expression.
"Another Peter Parker?" Bai Ye raised his eyebrows, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes.
This Spider-Man looked at the corpse on the ground, then looked at Bai Ye, took a step back warily, and questioned:
"Who are you? What's going on here?"
Bai Ye spread his hands and said directly, "As you can see, I just killed a Kingpin and happened to see your corpse."
Spider-Man recited the sentence word by word: "My corpse?"
Then, Peter Parker lowered his head and carefully looked at the dead Spider-Man on the ground, his pupils shrinking sharply: "Wait, this, is this really me?!"
Bai Ye nodded: "To be precise, it's you from another Universe."
Just then, another Spider-Man swung down from the roof and landed in front of them.
"Hey! Who are you guys?!"
He took off his mask, revealing a young face, his eyes warily scanning back and forth between Bai Yeand the first Spider-Man.
Bai Ye smiled: "Oh, here comes another one."
Bai Ye had already seen through Super Vision that the first Spider-Man was the bully Maguire version.
Tobeys Spider-Man: "What do you mean another one?"
"Also, are you Peter Parker?"
Bai Ye looked at the second Spider-Man, who was Garfields Spider-Man,
Garfields Spider-Man: "What?"
Before they could react, another figure landed lightly on the trash can.
"Can anyone explain what's going on now?"
This time it was a blonde girl, revealing Gwen Stacy's face after taking off her mask.
"Ghost-Spider Gwen?" Bai Ye nodded.
"Okay, the team is getting bigger and bigger."
"Bang!"
A cloud of pink smoke exploded, and a pig wearing a Spider-Man armor rolled out of the smoke.
"Wow! Where is this?!"
Spider-Ham got up and patted the dust off his body.
Immediately afterwards, a cartoon-style girl Spider-Man, Peni Parker, slid down from the wall: "Uh, hello everyone?"
Finally, a black and white Spider-Man Noir walked out of the shadows and said in a low voice, "The cracks in the Multiverse are expanding."
Bai Ye looked at the group of Spider-Men from different Universes in front of him and couldn't help laughing: "Good fellow, a Spider-Man reunion?"
If Deadpool saw this scene before, he would have been so happy that he would have ascended to heaven on the spot!
According to the comic setting, Little Spider's position in Deadpool's heart is the highest, even replacing his favorite girlfriend.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Suddenly, a black hole cracked open in the sky, and a figure screamed and fell down, crashing heavily to the ground.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Huh? Wait, why are there so many Spider-Men?!"
This Spider-Man stood up with a carp jump, took off his mask, revealing a Hollands Spider-Man-like face.
He stared wide-eyed at his surroundings, his mouth starting to output like a machine gun.
"Wow! Peter!! Peter?! Gwen?! What is this? Spider-Ham?! Cartoon Spider-Man?! Spider-Man Noir?! And... uh, who is this?"
Hollands Spider-Man's Spider-Man looked at Bai Ye, suddenly realized something, and shouted again:
"Wait, are you Superman? This armor is so cool! Are you here to help? Or are you here to catch us?"
"No, you don't look like a bad guy, did you just kill Kingpin?"
"Oh, my god, Kingpin is dead? What will happen to my Universe then? Aunt Mei is still waiting for me to go home for dinner!"
Seeing this, Gwen couldn't help but shoot a spider web to cover his mouth: "Peter, calm down."
Hollands Spider-Man's Spider-Man, pulling the spider web, stammered: "Ugh! I just want to ask clearly!"
Faced with so much Spider-Man's mouth cannon, Bai Ye rubbed his temples and began to explain:
"Okay, everyone, I know you are confused, but things are very simple."
Bai Ye pointed to Kingpin's corpse on the ground and said directly:
"This guy made a particle collider, trying to open a parallel Universe to find his wife and children, and as a result, he pulled you all over."
Tobeys Spider-Man frowned and asked, "So, we are from different Universes?"
Bai Ye nodded and said something shocking: "That's right, and if you don't go back as soon as possible, you will disappear."
"What?!" All the Spider-Men said in unison.
Hollands Spider-Man's Spider-Man: "Wait, then how do we go back?!"
Bai Ye looked up at the sky: "Theoretically, as long as the particle collider is turned off, the cracks will be repaired, and you will be automatically teleported back."
Hearing Bai Ye's words, Garfields Spider-Man immediately said: "Then what are we waiting for? We have to turn it off!"
At this time, Gwen raised a question that was ignored by several Spider-Men:
"But Kingpin is dead, who~ is controlling the collider?"
Spider-Man Noir said in a low voice: "His subordinates."
Bai Ye nodded: "That's right, so..."
Boom!!!
In the distance, a huge beam of energy soared into the sky, the entire New York sky began to distort, and countless buildings began to pixelate and disintegrate.
"Oh no! The collider is out of control!" Peni Parker exclaimed.
Bai Ye nodded: "There's no time, everyone, we have to split up."
He quickly assigned tasks to several Little Spiders.
Tobey, Garfield, and Hollands Spider-Man go to shut down the collider core.
Gwen, Peni, and Spider-Man Noir go to evacuate the citizens.
Spider-Ham, uh, is responsible for funny support.
At this time, Hollands Spider-Man's Spider-Man realized something and asked:
"Wait, why am I going to turn off the machine? I don't know how to use it!"
Garfields Spider-Man patted Hollands Spider-Man's shoulder: "Don't worry, we have Tobey."
Tobeys Spider-Man replied in a bad mood: "I studied biology."
Bai Ye supported his forehead: "Forget it, I'll go myself."
He floated up and flew directly towards the collider, leaving a group of Spider-Men looking at each other.
Hollands Spider-Man's Spider-Man couldn't help but shout, "Wow, he really is Superman!"
Gwen stepped forward and reminded a few people: "Don't stand there, we have to act!"
"Spider-Men! Assemble!"
When several Little Spiders rushed to this side, Bai Ye's figure had already appeared in the particle collider laboratory.
The huge ring device was running crazily, and beams of energy twisted and shot into the sky.
Tearing black cracks in the night sky of New York.
In the center of the laboratory, several figures were surrounding the console.
Tombstone stood in front of the operating panel adjusting parameters.
The female version of Doctor Octopus's mechanical tentacles were connected to the main control system.
The huge Green Goblin and the Prowler standing guard with guns stood behind.
"My Lord Kingpin will be here soon." The female version of Doctor Octopus's mechanical voice was cold and harsh.
"Continue to stabilize the energy output!"
The people who were speaking didn't even notice Bai Ye's appearance.
Bai Ye appeared suddenly, without any warning.
"Your boss is already dead."
Bai Ye's sudden words made the entire laboratory quiet instantly.
Everyone turned their heads sharply, and their weapons were aimed at him.
"What did you say?" Doctor Octopus was shocked.
Bai Ye was too lazy to explain, and his eyes suddenly lit up with scarlet light.
Chapter 163
"Sizzle! Boom!!!"
Heat Vision swept across, and Green Goblin exploded mid-air before he could even act.
Dr. Octopus's mechanical tentacles were severed at the root.
Tombstone and Prowler didn't even have time to scream before they vaporized in the intense heat.
The entire battle process did not exceed 0.1 seconds.
"Wow!!"
An exaggerated exclamation came from the doorway not far away.
MCU Spider-Man clung to the doorframe, his large eyes on his mask wide with shock, and he exclaimed:
"This, this, this... is too cool, right?! You really are a Kryptonian, aren't you? May I ask why your eyes can shoot beams? Is your suit made of alien material? You..."
Tobeys Spider-Man clapped a hand over Holland's chattering mouth, reminding him, "Little Peter, calm down."
Garfields Spider-Man, Gwen, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, and others arrived one after another, all shocked by the gruesome state of the laboratory.
"You... you killed them all..."
Gwen looked at the scorch marks on the ground, her voice trembling slightly.
Bai Ye calmly walked towards the particle collider, explaining, "If they don't die, more Spider-Men will die."
MCU Spider-Man broke free from Tobey's hand: "Even so, this is too brutal!"
Bai Ye ignored their reactions and directly placed his hand on the core of the particle collider.
Yin-Yang Balance Power!
A black and white intertwined energy spread from Bai Ye's palm.
The previously violent machine instantly stabilized, and the piercing alarm sound ceased abruptly.
"Alright, the machine is repaired," Bai Ye said directly as he withdrew his hand.
Just as everyone breathed a sigh of relief, they noticed that the black hole in the sky hadn't disappeared; instead, it was spinning even more violently!
"What's going on?!" Garfields Spider-Man nervously looked out the window.
"Didn't the machine stop?"
Bai Ye frowned, remembering the crazy gang Deadpool mentioned: "Something's wrong."
Suddenly
"Ah ah ah ah ah!"
A figure fell from the black hole, landing with a splat on the laboratory floor.
Everyone looked closely and saw that it was another Spider-Man!
This new Spider-Man, wearing a black and red tight suit, got up in a daze and asked:
"What happened? I was just fighting Mysterio."
Before everyone could react, figures fell from the black hole one after another.
Bang bang bang!
A Japanese Samurai-style Spider-Man, a Medieval Armored Spider-Man, a Dinosaur Suit Spider-Man, and even a Spider-Man made entirely of LEGO bricks!
The laboratory was instantly filled with Spider-Men from different Universes, all looking bewildered.
"Where is this?"
"Why are there so many Spider-Men?"
"Who's throwing a party?"
"Wait, who's that in the colored suit? Superman?"
A certain version of Spider-Man jumped excitedly, shouting:
"This is great! Is this the Spider-Man Alliance?!"
Gwen massaged her forehead, unable to help but complain, "Oh god, another chatterbox."
Bai Ye looked up at the black hole, his eyes enhanced with magic, beginning to probe.
His eyes pierced through the black hole, seeing the blurry scene on the other side.
Soon, he saw energy interference from a higher dimension.
Based on his guess, there were signs of artificial manipulation on the other side of the black hole.
Just then, the black hole suddenly twisted violently, and a huge golden figure slowly emerged.
Spider-Man 2099, wearing an ornate mask, floated in the air, with countless flickering space-time rifts behind him... and again.
"Attention all Spider-Men!"
Spider-Man 2099's voice echoed throughout the laboratory.
"Return to your own Universes immediately, the Multiverse is collapsing!"
MCU Spider-Man raised his hand and asked, "Uh, excuse me, who are you?"
Spider-Man 2099 ignored him and coldly looked at Bai Ye:
"As for you, outsider, you don't belong to any Spider-Verse."
Upon hearing this, the entire laboratory instantly fell silent.
All the Spider-Men uniformly looked at Bai Ye, awaiting his response.
Spider-Man 2099 was suspended at the edge of the black hole, his appearance instantly making the atmosphere in the entire laboratory tense.
"Miguel O'Hara."
Bai Ye narrowed his eyes, instantly recalling the other party's identity.
"390" "The leader of the Spider Society."
"You know me?"
2099's voice carried the coldness of electronic synthesis.
"It seems you are more dangerous than I imagined."
MCU Spider-Man couldn't help but interrupt again, complaining:
"Wait, what's the Spider Society? We have a society? How come I don't know about it?"
2099 ignored him and continued to stare at Bai Ye, stating directly:
"You shouldn't interfere with the operation of the Spider-Verse. Every Universe has its predetermined trajectory, and Kingpin's death has already caused timeline disturbances."
Gwen sharply noticed the problem 2099 mentioned and questioned:
"So you've been monitoring the Spider-Men in various Universes?"
"Not monitoring, but maintaining."
2099 raised his hand and brought up a holographic projection, displaying countless shattered timelines.
"Every Spider-Man should experience the death of Ben Parker, the decisive battle with Green Goblin, the pain of losing loved ones—these key nodes shape us."
Tobeys Spider-Man's face changed drastically, his expression extremely grim: "Are you saying you ensure that tragedies inevitably happen?"
2099's mechanical voice was devoid of emotion, completely unconcerned by the grim expressions of the Spider-Men, and he spoke self-righteously:
"This is the price for maintaining the stability of the Multiverse."
At this moment, Bai Ye suddenly laughed: "What a self-righteous excuse."
He pointed to the black hole in the sky, which was still expanding, and questioned:
"Then how do you explain this? If you can perfectly maintain the timeline, why are there rifts of this magnitude?"
Hearing Bai Ye's words, 2099's projection suddenly flickered.
"Because someone tampered with the underlying protocols," a clear female voice suddenly rang out.
A young girl in a pink combat suit, Spider-Girl Mei Parker, leaped out of the black hole.
"Mei?! Why are you here?"
Seeing Mei Parker, 2099 clearly panicked.
"I cracked your monitoring system." Mei Parker landed lightly beside Bai Ye.
"The truth is, there's a split within the Spider Society. Someone is using the theory of predetermined fate to deliberately create tragedies in certain Universes."
Mei Parker brought up an encrypted data stream, and the screen clearly showed someone manipulating Kingpin's particle collider.
MCU Spider-Man's eyes widened: "So Kingpin was just a pawn?"
"And you," Bai Ye looked directly at 2099's golden mask.
"Are nothing more than exploited guard dogs."
2 suddenly popped up, seemingly enraged.
"You don't understand the consequences at all! If you're allowed to change history..."
"Bang!!!"
Bai Ye's figure instantly vanished, reappearing in front of 2099 the next second, unleashing a punch.
2099 didn't even have time to react; his golden mask shattered under the terrifying impact.
His semi-mechanized body was directly pierced by the punch, metal parts and biological tissue exploding in the air!
"Ugh!"
2099's shattered body crashed through the wall, finally embedding itself in the laboratory's main control console, electricity crackling as his system began to overload.
All the Spider-Men were frozen in place, shocked by Bai Ye's formidable strength.
MCU Spider-Man's mouth was wide open, and a curse slipped out: "Holy shit!"
Gwen's eyes widened: "He just insta-killed that guy?!"
Tobeys Spider-Man instinctively took half a step back: "This guy is even more ruthless than Green Goblin."
Bai Ye shook off the mechanical fragments from his hand, looked coldly at the black hole, and scoffed:
"What's with all the mumbling? Tell it to my fist..."
Just then, the black hole suddenly twisted violently, as if enraged, and more space-time rifts began to spread.
"Warning, space-time stability collapsing!" The laboratory's AI blared a sharp alarm.
Mei Parker quickly pulled up data and shouted, "Someone is remotely controlling this black hole! 2099 is just a puppet!"
Bai Ye wasn't surprised; this crisis was probably caused by a member of the crazy team Deadpoolmentioned.
Bai Ye suddenly looked up, his Heat Vision shooting directly into the center of the black hole.
"Sizzle! Boom!!!"
A crimson beam pierced through the void, and a painful roar came from within the black hole, as if some higher entity had been struck.
But the next second, the black hole suddenly expanded, and countless golden chains shot out from within, heading straight for Bai Ye.
"Watch out!" Gwen shouted at Bai Ye.
Bai Ye didn't even bother to dodge, letting the chains wrap around him.
"Got you," a deep voice came from the depths of the black hole.
Bai Ye smiled: "No, I got you."
As his voice fell, Bai Ye's arms suddenly exerted force.
"Crack!"
All the chains were easily broken by Bai Ye as if they were made of tofu.
Chapter 164
Immediately after, Bai Ye soared into the sky and plunged straight into the black hole.
Arriving before the black hole, Bai Ye gripped the edges of the rift with both hands, his muscles taut.
Under the astonished gaze of everyone, the Power of Ten Billion Gods activated: Numerical Modification!
"Open... for me!!!"
Rip!!!
The black hole was forcefully torn open by Bai Ye's brutal and unreasonable power.
As the black hole was ripped apart, everyone could see the golden Data Space inside the torn-open void.
They saw a figure clad in black robes sitting on a throne, staring at Bai Ye in astonishment.
"You! How could you possibly..."
Bai Ye didn't give him a chance to speak nonsense; a red light flashed in his eyes.
"Bang!!!"
The head of the figure in black robes was instantly vaporized by the Heat Ray.
The entire golden space began to collapse, the black hole violently contracted, and finally closed completely with a deafening explosion.
The laboratory returned to silence, and all the Spider-Men were dumbfounded.
Seeing the silence, Holland's Spider-Man instinctively tried to lighten the mood, stating, "Should I applaud?"
Bai Ye clapped his hands, turned, and looked at the Spider-Men: "Alright, problem solved."
May Parker stared blankly at the data screen, disbelievingly asking, "The Space-Time Rifts, are they all fixed?"
Bai Ye nodded: "The mastermind is dead. You can all go home now."
Blue light began to glow around the Spider-Men; the return process had automatically initiated.
Seeing this, Holland's Spider-Man hurriedly shouted:
"Wait! At least tell us who you are!"
Bai Ye smiled faintly: "You can think of me as Superman, but more people call me a God."
A certain Spider-Man frantically checked his gradually transparent hands, sighing:
"Whoa! This feels so weird! It's like Thanos snapped his fingers!"
Facing these eccentric Spider-Men, Gwen shook her head helplessly, turned to Bai Ye, and thanked him:
"No matter who you are, thank you for saving all of us."
She hesitated for a moment, then suddenly stepped forward, gently hugged Bai Ye, and invited:
"If you ever come to my Universe, remember to look me up for coffee."
Garfields Spider-Man scratched his head, shyly extended his hand, and said in a slightly embarrassed tone:
"Uh, although your fighting style was a bit terrifying, thanks."
Just as Bai Ye shook his hand, the tall boy suddenly lowered his voice and said:
"Oh right, if you see Gwen, I mean the Gwen in my World, could you..."
"No."
Bai Ye interrupted Garfields Spider-Man very directly and stated:
"Chase your own girl yourself."
Hearing Bai Ye's words, Garfield's Peter immediately blushed.
Looking at the somewhat shy Garfields Spider-Man, Bai Ye reminded him:
"Remember, at a certain critical moment, jump down bravely, don't use webs to save people."
Before Garfields Spider-Man could understand the meaning of Bai Ye's words, his body slowly dissipated and he returned to his own Universe.
At this moment, Spider-Man Noir stepped out of the Shadow, his black mask revealing no expression.
He said nothing, merely performing an ancient Knight's Salute toward Bai Ye.
"Hey! Wait for me!"
Spider-Ham hopped over, pulled a Mini Spider Doll out of his pocket, and handed it to Bai Ye.
"A souvenir! I sewed it myself!"
Lego Spider-Man assembled a simple trophy out of blocks and handed it to Bai Ye: "Awarded to the Coolest Non-Spider-Man Person!"
Peni Parker pulled a Mech model out of her Spider Mech and handed it to Bai Ye: "You are a true hero!"
Tobeys Spider-Man was the last one to approach.
This warrior, who had endured so much hardship, looked deeply at Bai Ye and said seriously:
"You made me realize one thing: sometimes, breaking fate is necessary."
As he spoke, Tobeys Spider-Man pointed to the spider emblem on his chest.
"Take care."
As his voice faded, Tobeys Spider-Man also vanished; the Spider-Men had completely left.
The laboratory door slowly closed behind Bai Ye, isolating the ground covered in mechanical debris and scorched battle marks inside.
New York's night sky was unusually clear, and starlight spilled onto the empty streets, as if the chaos had never happened.
Bai Ye stood on the street corner, looking up at the azure sky.
Although the black hole had disappeared, Bai Ye felt that the matter was not so simple.
The Spider-Man Universe was much stronger compared to the previous Bad Pacific Universe.
Moreover, Bai Ye had a rough guess as to why they targeted the Spider-Man Universe.
As everyone knows, Spider-Man holds the number one spot in Deadpool's heart.
If Deadpool knew they had countless Spider-Men, there would surely be an endless stream of Deadpools running over to court death.
Therefore, Bai Ye had a premonition that merely gathering the Spider-Men from these Universes was far from enough.
Next, what Bai Ye had to do was wait for the subsequent issues caused by those guys in this Universe.
Bai Ye walked slowly down the street, hands in his pockets.
The night wind stirred his Black Cloak, and the Six Stones on his wrist remained dim.
The rules of this Universe restricted Bai Ye's Infinity Stones abilities.
But even so, based on his current abilities alone, he was still invincible in this Universe.
"Shh-shh!"
A very subtle sound came from the alley.
Bai Ye paused his steps and said without turning around, "You've been following me the whole way, aren't you tired?"
From the Shadow, a petite figure slowly walked out.
Spider-Girl May Parker took off her mask and gave an awkward smile.
(To prevent confusion, this is Peter and Mary Jane's daughter, not Aunt May.)
"How did you find me? I clearly blocked all Biological Signals."
"Heartbeat."
Bai Ye pointed to his ear and stated, "Your heartbeat is 30 beats faster than an ordinary person's."
May widened her eyes and exclaimed, "Wow, Super Hearing? That's so cool!"
Bai Ye turned to face her, slightly puzzled: "You didn't go back?"
May winked mischievously and said playfully, "After all, someone has to tell you the truth."
She raised her wrist, and a Holographic Projection unfolded in the air, displaying an Encrypted Data Stream.
The image showed a blurred golden figure manipulating the Destiny Threads of countless Universes' Spider-Men.
"2099 is just an enforcer; the real mastermind is The Weaver." May's voice lowered.
"It doesn't belong to any Universe, but is a Higher-Dimensional Entity, specifically maintaining the so-called spider totem destiny."
Bai Ye, who had already expected this, narrowed his eyes and prompted, "So Kingpin's Collider..."
"It secretly guided that." May nodded, confirming Bai Ye's statement.
"It needed a large enough disturbance to conceal its true purpose."
"What purpose?"
"Uh, can I say I don't know?" May Parker awkwardly scratched her head.
Bai Ye: ... A few minutes later
The night wind gently blew, and the streets of New York returned to tranquility after the battle.
Bai Ye walked leisurely down the empty street, hands in his pockets, followed by a light figure.
"So, you deliberately didn't go back?" Bai Ye asked without turning his head.
May Parker jogged a couple of steps to walk alongside him, taking off her mask to reveal a cunning smile.
"It's rare to meet an Outsider like you; how could I miss the chance to study you?"
"How did you manage to stay in this Universe?"
May shook the device on her wrist and said proudly:
"I adjusted the Return Coordinates and temporarily anchored myself in this Universe."
Bai Ye glanced at her and stated, "Do your family members in your Universe know you're being this reckless?"
"Hey!"
May puffed out her cheeks in dissatisfaction and argued, "I inherited my dad's intelligence and my mom's judgment; I can totally take care of myself."
The two turned the corner, and the lights of a 24-Hour Convenience Store illuminated May's young face.
May, acting completely familiar, grabbed two cans of soda and tossed one to Bai Ye.
"Tell me about it."
Bai Ye took the soda, used Telekinesis to pop the tab, and asked curiously:
"How did you become Spider-Man? Where is Peter?"
Hearing Bai Ye's question, May's expression darkened:
"In my Universe, Peter Parker is my father. He didn't come back from his last mission."
At this point, May seemed to want to relieve her internal emotions, so she lightly pulled down her mask and took a sip of soda.
"When I was 15, I found his suit and diary and learned everything."
"Later, people from Osborn Industries came looking for me, and I had no choice but to put on the suit."
Bai Ye noticed that as she spoke, her fingers unconsciously rubbed the Web-Shooter on her wrist.
"You modified the gear." Bai Ye glanced at the Web-Shooter and stated directly.
"Of course!"
As soon as the topic turned to gear, May, whose mood had been somewhat low, immediately brightened up.
Chapter 165
"My dad's web fluid formula was too basic. I added nanoadhesive technology and also developed an electromagnetic pulse mode."
Watching her babble on, Bai Ye smiled.
This girl possessed both a scientist's focus and a maiden's vitality; no wonder she could become Spider-Man in that Universe.
"What about you...?" Mei suddenly leaned closer.
"What's your World like? Why can you..."
Before Mei could ask more, her question was interrupted by a sudden explosion.
A building a few blocks away was emitting thick smoke.
"Damn it!" Mei immediately put on her Spider-Man mask.
"It's Kingpin's remaining biker gang! They must be taking advantage of the chaos!"
Bai Ye pressed her shoulder, stopping her actions: "I'll handle it, you stay here."
Mei naturally didn't listen to Bai Ye, directly shooting out a web and swinging away.
"No way, I'm Spider-Girl!"
Facing such a mischievous child, Bai Ye shook his head helplessly, then floated up and followed.
When the two arrived at the scene, a dozen modified motorcycles were rampaging through the streets.
The leading thug wore a Rhino helmet and was blasting police cars with an energy cannon.
"The usual?"
Mei swung to a streetlamp, squatted down, and asked.
Bai Ye raised an eyebrow, somewhat puzzled: "What 'usual'?"
"Let's see who takes down more!"
Before her words finished, Mei had already swung out, landing a precise flying kick to the Rhino's back of the head.
Bai Ye shook his head with a light laugh. Since he had nothing else to do, he might as well play along with her.
Relaxation after battle is also entertainment. (This is part of the text that seems like a garbled comment or ad, so it's translated literally as it appears.)
Then, he flashed and appeared in front of the motorcade.
The leading motorcyclist hadn't even reacted before Bai Ye lifted both him and his bike into the air.
"Borrowing a ride." (Read exciting novels at Feilu Novel Network!)
Bai Ye casually tossed the terrified driver aside, then rode the motorcycle, executing a drift sweep that instantly knocked down five bikes.
Mei weaved between buildings, her webs precisely sticking to the thugs' weapons.
Watching Bai Ye's moves, she couldn't help but exclaim: "Wow! You can ride a motorcycle too?"
"A little."
Bai Ye controlled the handlebars with one hand, effortlessly catching a flying steel pipe with the other, then threw it back to knock over the last vehicle.
The battle ended in 30 seconds. Bai Ye felt he had never fought such an easy battle, though it was due to him holding back.
By the time the siren approached, the two were already sitting on a nearby rooftop, watching the busy police cars below.
Mei dangled her legs: "So, what exactly are your abilities? Can you teach me?"
"I can have whatever I want, otherwise, I wouldn't deserve my nickname as a God."
Bai Ye tilted his head back, finished his soda, and then turned to address Mei's problem:
"However, your combat suit has room for improvement."
Mei, who was originally interested in Bai Ye, immediately perked up when she heard about her combat suit.
"You have suggestions?"
Bai Ye condensed a wisp of golden light on his fingertip, sketching several complex structural diagrams in the air.
"Special nanotech, it can be combined with your father's web-slinging system."
Mei was utterly captivated by the structural diagrams Bai Ye casually created.
After a while, Mei suddenly asked: "Where are you going next? Has the problem in this Universe been resolved?"
Bai Ye looked up at the starry sky and shook his head: "I don't know, let's wait."
"Then I'll come with you!" Mei jumped up excitedly.
"We can team up! I know every corner of New York."
Mei tilted her head in thought, then her eyes suddenly lit up. She raised a finger, revealing an idea.
"Hey, since the Spider-Man of this Universe is gone, and Kingpin is also dead, then, should we create one ourselves?"
Bai Ye raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised by Mei's wild idea.
"Create a Spider-Man?"
"Yeah!"
Mei jumped up excitedly again, beginning to ponder.
"Although Kingpin's particle collider is broken, his database should still be there!"
"We can find records of people bitten by radioactive spiders, or directly replicate spider genes."
Bai Ye watched her eyes darting around, couldn't help but laugh, and said directly: "You certainly have a lot of ideas."
Mei showed a confident expression, patting her small chest.
"Of course! I inherited my dad's scientific talent!"
Bai Ye pulled out a bottle of soda from nowhere and took a sip: "So, you have a candidate?"
Mei said mysteriously: "Midtown High School in every Universe is the birthplace of Peter Parker, maybe there's an answer there."
At this point, she paused, revealing a sly smile.
"We just need to find someone with a family background that perfectly matches the tragic hero archetype of Spider-Man, right?"
Bai Ye chuckled, stating: "You're quite good at picking."
Mei blinked, her eyes full of motivation: "So, are you in or not?"
To the eager Mei, Bai Ye smiled and shook his head: "No rush."
"Huh?" Hearing Bai Ye's refusal, Mei was startled. "Why?"
"Creating a Spider-Man is no small matter."
Bai Ye tossed the empty soda can and sat directly on the ground.
"Let's observe for a while and see if these people are worthy."
Mei followed suit and sat on the rooftop: "Then what do we do now?"
Bai Ye looked into the distance, the New York night wind blowing on his face.
"Let's explore first, I haven't properly seen this Universe's New York yet."
Mei's eyes lit up, and she shouted: "Awesome! I know a super great pizza place in Queens, and the underground graffiti street in Brooklyn, and the neon lights of Times Square!"
Bai Ye directly interrupted her chatter, complaining: "Are you always this talkative?"
Mei grinned, put on her mask, and stated matter-of-factly: "It's genetic."
Bai Ye smiled, subconsciously asking: "You don't look very old, how old are you?"
"I just turned 18~."
Mei Parker crossed her arms, sized up Bai Ye, and then suddenly showed a knowing smile.
"Why are you suddenly asking someone's age? Are you interested in me?"
Bai Ye: ???
Mei Parker thought her plan had succeeded and burst into laughter.
The two chatted idly, the distant wail of police sirens and fire trucks interweaving.
But their corner was unusually quiet, with only the night breeze gently sweeping by.
Mei dangled her legs, holding a can of cola she had just 'borrowed' from a vending machine.
She tilted her head to Bai Ye: "Are we temporary partners now?"
Bai Ye didn't answer immediately, his gaze sweeping across this unfamiliar New York City.
Neon lights cast colorful reflections on the rain-slicked roads, and the faint sound of a street musician's saxophone was audible.
Everything was so similar to the Universe he was familiar with, yet subtly different.
"For now, yes."
Bai Ye finally said, taking the cola Mei handed him and opening the tab with one hand.
Mei Parker's eyes lit up, and she shouted: "Awesome! I've never teamed up with Superman before!"
Apparently, she preferred the title Superman to God, perhaps thinking it might bring them a little closer?
Looking at Mei, who was like a child, Bai Ye chuckled.
This girl had a peculiar vitality that reminded him of Susan from his own Universe.
If Susan were a chatterbox, she would probably be just like her.
Though sometimes Susan's precise retorts weren't bad either.
"Then let's explore first." Bai Ye patted his backside and stood up.
"Lead the way."
Mei cheered, did a backflip, and her web accurately stuck to the opposite building.
"Keep up, rookie!"
For the next few hours, New York's night sky became their playground.
Mei led Bai Ye through skyscrapers, soaring past the flashing billboards of Times Square.
They swung on the treetops of Central Park and even secretly snuck into the closed Natural History Museum.
"Look! This is where my dad was bitten for the first time!"
Mei excitedly pointed to a spider exhibit, then her face fell in dismay.
"Oh right, it might not be in this Universe."
Bai Ye looked thoughtfully at the hairy arachnids.
"So your plan is to find some unlucky person to get bitten?"
Mei crossed her arms in protest: "No, it's not!"
"It has to go through strict screening! Character tests, physical assessments, psychological resilience..."
As she spoke, she thought of something, and her voice gradually faded.
"Okay, I haven't thought that far ahead."
The pre-dawn light began to tint the skyline, and they stopped at the highest point of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Mei slumped on a steel cable, her mask pulled up to her forehead, golden hair clinging to her forehead with sweat.
"Tired?"
Bai Ye looked at her like this, raising an eyebrow provocatively.
"No way!"
Mei immediately straightened her back, then slumped again.
"Okay, a little. Aren't you tired at all?"
