On the edge of the country Creisia in the forest near a village, there was
a woman training two children on how to use magic and close combat.
The two children were clearly overwhelmed.
even though the woman did not
use any magic at all.
The two children were truly trained rigorously in a way that was unreasonable for a human. They
trained their bodies and magic hard, they were never given a chance even when they
were truly unable to move.
Even so, the woman still took good care of the two children. They ate 3 times a day, slept 8 hours, and were taught general knowledge by her.

When the two children turned 14, the woman felt a bad premonition. She was sure something bad would happen to them.
Because of that, she told them what they needed to know.
"Do you enjoy living like this?"
The two children gave different answers,
"I'm okay with it, as long as I can still live this way, I don't hate it."
Meanwhile, the second child had a different thought: "I'm not sure, I have struggled all this time. But, I think I do hate it a little."
The woman smiled warmly. "Is that so? But I'm sure this kind of life won't last long."
The two children were a bit confused. The woman explained what they needed to know.
"I've been training you hard since the beginning, forgive me if you hate it."
The second child immediately understood what the woman meant.
"So, You're going to leave soon?"
The woman smiled faintly, but still tried to show a smile that could warm their hearts.
"100 years ago, there was a god who broke his power into 13 pieces and scattered them into this world. Even though they were fragments, those pieces had extraordinary abilities. If someone uses them, the person possessing one of those fragments could become a threat to this world."
"I have obtained one of those fragments. But as I got it, I became more aware that the god was no match for us, not even for me. That's why I want to stop your hard training."
The second child immediately caught the woman's words and became more certain that something bad was going to happen.
"So, you're stopping because you gave up? Or is there something else?"
The woman smiled faintly.
"You always understand quickly Randi. Let me tell you, the god who broke his power... "
