Chapter 104 - Chapter 103 – A New Knight

Rias's Office – Gremory Mansion

Gasper entered the office accompanied by Xenovia and found Ravel and Selene seated on opposite sofas. Both of them interrupted their conversation as soon as they noticed the exorcist, but they reacted differently.

Ravel maintained her elegant posture, although her eyes quickly shifted from Xenovia's sword to Gasper. Selene merely tilted her head, curious about the woman who had entered a room belonging to devils while carrying a weapon.

"Selene, Ravel, this is Xenovia." Gasper walked to the center of the office and stopped beside the exorcist. "I'm going to reincarnate her as a devil."

Ravel remained silent while processing the information.

'The number of women around him keeps increasing. Selene was just reincarnated, and now this exorcist is joining the peerage as well.'

The realization did not completely surprise her. Ever since she had grown closer to Gasper, she had already noticed that strong, troubled, or lost women seemed naturally drawn to him.

"My name is Xenovia Quarta." Xenovia stood straight while observing the two women. "I was an exorcist of the Church and the wielder of an Excalibur. From now on, I intend to serve Gasper."

Selene partially rose from the sofa before sitting back down.

"I'm Selene." She discreetly pointed at herself. "I was reincarnated recently as well, so I understand a little of what you're about to go through."

Xenovia looked at her more carefully. Selene's magical energy was unlike anything she had ever sensed from a human, yet it also carried the demonic signature of someone who had already undergone the reincarnation process.

Gasper took advantage of the shift in conversation and turned toward Selene.

"And you, how are you feeling?" He observed the flow of energy surrounding her before continuing. "Your reincarnation was difficult."

"I'm doing well, Master." Selene smiled, genuinely pleased to be able to answer that sincerely. "It was difficult at first, but once my magic recovered, I started feeling better. Now I feel stronger than ever."

Gasper studied her aura for several seconds. The transformation had completely stabilized, and the power that had once seemed chaotic now blended with her demonic energy far more efficiently.

'A demigoddess transformed into a reincarnated devil. Her potential is truly remarkable.'

"I'm glad to hear that." Gasper shifted his attention to Xenovia and gestured toward the sofa in front of him. "Have a seat."

Xenovia obeyed without argument. Ravel and Selene also stood, giving Gasper enough space to begin the evaluation process and choose the appropriate Evil Piece.

Ravel approached Selene while Gasper arranged the Evil Pieces on the table.

"You seem excited." Ravel kept her voice low, but never took her eyes off what was happening before them.

"As Gasper said, my reincarnation was complicated." Selene watched Xenovia attentively. "I want to see how it works when it happens right in front of me."

"I understand." Ravel also turned her attention back to Gasper, although her curiosity was mixed with a different concern.

Gasper took out the Evil Pieces and studied Xenovia once more. Her physical strength, speed, and swordsmanship made the choice obvious.

"You will become my Knight." Gasper held the piece between his fingers as he explained. "That role matches your speed, your skill with weapons, and your combat experience."

Xenovia nodded without hesitation.

"Understood."

The Evil Piece began glowing between Gasper's fingers. The demonic symbol expanded before Xenovia as the magic evaluated her body, soul, and compatibility with the piece.

WHOOOOM!

The light completely enveloped Xenovia. The holy energy still lingering within her body reacted for several seconds, creating tiny golden sparks that clashed against the demonic magic.

Xenovia gritted her teeth as the transformation spread throughout her body. The sensation was unlike any injury she had suffered while serving the Church, because it did not feel as though something was being destroyed, but rather as though every part of her was being rebuilt under entirely new rules.

The Evil Piece passed through Xenovia's chest and disappeared into her body.

THUUM!

A wave of demonic energy spread throughout the office, causing the curtains and the papers on the desk to flutter. Ravel quickly raised a simple barrier to keep several documents from being blown onto the floor, while Selene watched the transformation without hiding her fascination.

Xenovia closed her eyes for several seconds. Her breathing deepened as demonic energy replaced part of her former human nature and reorganized the flow of her holy power.

Then everything became calm.

Kuoh Academy

Grayfia remained in front of the academy as the last traces of her magic flowed through the damaged buildings. Walls rebuilt themselves, shattered windows returned to their frames, and broken furniture regained its original form under the supreme maid's precise control.

The Student Council room was fully restored, but no magic was used to erase the traces connected to Tomoe's death. Grayfia preserved every mark necessary for the investigation before ordering the body to be removed.

Two servants of the Gremory family waited beside the containment structure. The man and woman wore formal attire and maintained rigid postures as they awaited her orders.

"Take care of the girl's body." Grayfia indicated Tomoe with a brief gesture. "She belongs to House Sitri's peerage. Treat her with the utmost care."

"Yes, Grayfia-sama."

The two servants answered together before activating a teleportation circle.

Silver light spread around the preserved body. Within seconds, Tomoe and the two servants disappeared from Kuoh Academy, leaving Grayfia alone with the frozen prisoners.

Kokabiel and Azraelion remained trapped within their icy prisons. Neither of them could move, use energy, or communicate with anyone outside.

Grayfia slowly approached them.

"The two of you will be taken to a prison in the Underworld." Her expression remained cold as she looked at Kokabiel through the ice. "Afterward, you will answer every question regarding that barrier."

No response came from the Fallen Angels, but Grayfia had not expected one.

Since the Great War, she had encountered techniques from countless factions and studied innumerable magical structures. Even so, she had never seen a barrier capable of completely concealing an area in such a manner.

It could be connected to the Old Satan Faction.

And if it was, Kokabiel might be nothing more than a minor piece in something far more dangerous.

Grayfia raised her hand, and a silver magic circle appeared beneath the two prisoners.

SHUUUN!

The supreme maid disappeared together with Kokabiel and Azraelion. Kuoh Academy was left empty and completely restored, but the events of that night could not be erased so easily.

Rias's Office – Gremory Mansion

Xenovia slowly opened her eyes.

The first thing she noticed was the change in her own energy. Demonic power now flowed naturally through her body, strengthening her muscles, senses, and reflexes.

"How do you feel?" Gasper asked as he stored the remaining Evil Pieces.

"Good. Very good." Xenovia clenched her hand, feeling her strength respond differently. "It's strange, but not unpleasant."

"That's normal." Gasper observed the stability of her transformation before nodding. "Your body will still need some time to adapt completely."

Ravel approached after confirming that the process had finished.

"Gasper, if you allow me, I can take care of arranging accommodations for both of them." She gestured toward Selene and Xenovia. "They still need to choose their rooms."

Gasper let out a quiet chuckle.

'She must be desperate to be useful.'

"Yes, you can take care of that."

Ravel tried to hide her satisfaction, but a smile appeared before she could stop it.

"Selene, you should choose a room and get some rest." Gasper turned toward his new Bishop. "I still have a few questions for you, but they can wait until tomorrow."

"Of course, Master."

"Call me Gasper."

Selene needed only a moment to correct herself.

"Yes, Gasper."

Xenovia observed the exchange between the two before appearing to reflect for several seconds. Then she turned toward him.

"When am I going to satisfy you sexually?"

The casual remark froze the entire office.

Ravel became completely motionless.

Selene blinked twice, unsure whether she had heard correctly.

Gasper frowned slightly.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm a devil and your servant." Xenovia answered calmly, as though she were explaining something obvious. "I was taught that devils live for desires, contracts, and pleasure. So I assumed that would be part of my duties."

Gasper remained silent for several seconds.

"You learned that in the Church?"

"Yes."

The answer came far too quickly to be a joke.

Gasper almost said that part of it was not entirely wrong. Devils were indeed associated with desires, contracts, and temptation, but the way Xenovia presented the idea made it obvious that she had learned only a distorted caricature.

'I have a lot to explain to this woman.'

"Being a devil doesn't mean you exist to satisfy every desire I might have." Gasper kept his voice firm while looking directly at her. "You joined my peerage to fight, grow stronger, and follow my orders. Everything else depends on your own choices."

Xenovia absorbed the explanation without showing any embarrassment.

"I understand."

"Go with Ravel and choose a room." Gasper pointed toward the door. "Afterward, we'll talk more calmly about what it means to be part of my peerage."

"Very well." Xenovia stood and picked up her sword. "Should I wear a maid outfit or an angel outfit when I'm serving you?"

Ravel finally lost part of her composure.

"What kind of Church were you attending?"

"The Vatican." Xenovia answered without realizing how absurd the question sounded. "That's where I learned that devils are cruel, perverted, and driven by desire."

Ravel opened her mouth to object, but an image of Riser immediately appeared in her mind. Her own brother happened to be an inconveniently useful example of part of Xenovia's description.

She quietly closed her mouth again.

Gasper noticed her hesitation and almost laughed.

"Xenovia, I just want you to get some sleep." He rubbed his forehead, finally feeling the weight of the night catching up to him. "It's been a difficult day for everyone."

"Understood."

Ravel opened the door and gestured toward the hallway. Selene stepped out first, still trying to hide her smile, while Xenovia followed with the same serious expression she wore during a mission.

Ravel was the last to leave the office.

"I'll make sure both of them get settled."

"Thank you, Ravel."

The door closed softly behind them.

CLICK.

Gasper remained alone in the office. He walked over to the sofa and sat down, allowing his muscles to relax for the first time since the barrier had been discovered.

Kokabiel had been captured.

Azraelion as well.

Sona had lost one of her servants.

Selene still needed to reveal everything she knew.

And now Xenovia had become part of his peerage.

Gasper rested his head against the back of the sofa and closed his eyes for several seconds.

'My peerage is growing far too quickly.'

Even so, he had no regrets.

Every new piece increased the group's strength, but it also created new responsibilities. Selene carried an origin that still needed to be investigated, Ravel was searching for a place where she could prove her worth, and Xenovia had just lost everything she had once believed in.

'It's not enough to make them stronger.'

Gasper opened his eyes and looked toward the door through which the three women had left.

'I also need to stop them from destroying themselves while trying to find a new purpose.'

The night was not over yet, but he already knew that the problems left behind by Kokabiel would continue for a long time.
