Chapter 3 - Plan

Based on the monster classification data I've gathered, my power level is likely around Rank F to D. This is quite abnormal for a newborn monster like me. If I were to compare it to the internal Tempest system, I might be Class E physically, but with the unique skills I possess, I could be categorized as a monster on par with Class D in terms of potential.

Ah, how pathetic. I was an adult human, and now I'm weaker than an average goblin, I thought with an internal sigh. It seems my greatest ability right now is 'Analysis and Appraisal.' This skill, which I assume is a remnant from my previous world, gives me a deep understanding of every detail around me, including this data. It's the only advantage I can rely on for now.

Still, I can't be overconfident. With a body so vulnerable to magical attacks, a stray spell from even a novice wizard could kill me instantly. I must always be on guard. The top priority is survival, not glory.

I can't get carried away. Caution is key. If a situation gets too difficult, retreating and running away isn't shameful. It's the best strategy to ensure my survival.

The fastest way to get stronger is to keep killing monsters. However, I must be extremely careful with monsters that have energy or magical attacks. While I have "unconventional" power, it doesn't mean I'm invulnerable. On the contrary, my weakness is a clear target.

The place where strong monsters reside is the Jura Forest. But that's impossible for me right now.

Currently, I'm in Dagruel's territory. To the north lies the Holy Empire of Ruberius, ruled by the True Demon Lord Luminous Valentine. To the east, there are the Western Nations, including the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion. Then, across the sea to the south, there is El-Dorado owned by Leon Cromwell. All these places are filled with individuals who could crush me with a single finger.

Damn it. My path is truly limited. The Jura Forest, which I assumed was where I could grow rapidly, is too far and too dangerous to approach. I'd just end up as lunch for a stronger monster or even a passing hero.

Looking at the mental map of information I've gathered, the only realistic option is to head west, toward the ocean.

The ocean... a region rarely mentioned in the original novel, I thought, trying to recall the plot I knew. There's a small hint during the Tempest Festival, when Yuuki Kagurazaka talks about it with Rimuru, and also the location of the great battle between the Eastern Empire and Tempest, where Rimuru fought and consumed Veldora, evolving into a True Dragon.

Perhaps that part of the sea is different, but I believe the ocean is an incredibly rich resource. There must be powerful monsters hiding in its depths, monsters that rely not only on physical strength but also on intelligence and adaptability. It's an undiscovered world that the Demon Lords and great nations of the land might not care about.

I can hide there, evolve without attracting the attention of Demon Lords or heroes. If I'm lucky enough, I might find some ancient ruins or artifacts that could help me grow stronger. The ocean is an uncharted territory, and that gives me a chance to write my own destiny.

Alright then, my decision is final. My next destination is the ocean.
