"Father, you wanted to see me?" Leo asked, his voice neutral.
Don Matteo nodded, his eyes piercing. "Yes, Leo. I wanted to discuss Ana's made a proposal with me I think it's a good opportunity for you to strengthen our family's alliances."
Leo's jaw clenched in frustration. "Father, I'm not interested . You know my only goal right now is venom and am this close and now this you got to be kidding don." He's voice laced with sarcasm.
Don Matteo's expression didn't change, but his voice took on a slightly sharper tone. "Leo, you're being foolish. Mira is a distraction. Ana is a smart choice. She understands our world and can help you navigate its complexities."
Leo's anger simmered just below the surface. "Mira is not a distraction, Father. She's the one that led me this close to venom ,I just want to use for my target that's all I know your talking about last night where I kissed yes I had to I want her to trust then I'll crush it ha ha god I can't wait for that day".
Don Matteo's eyes narrowed. "You're just am crazy as ever Leo. One that could cost you everything."
Leo stood his ground, his heart pounding in his chest. "I'm willing to take that risk, Father. Have come this far anyway."
