The tension between Leo and Don Matteo was palpable. Mira could feel the weight of Don Matteo's disapproval, and she knew she had to be careful. "Leo, listen to me," Don Matteo said, his voice firm but controlled. "This girl is a distraction. She's not worth risking everything for yes I know I asked her to help doesn't mean I want her to be your queen." Leo's grip on Mira's hand tightened. Especially when it comes to our family's future." The air was thick with tension as Leo and Don Matteo locked eyes.
